We had been meaning to come here since the Litchfield Jazz fest - OMG, why did we wait?!? Made it for Mother's Day and had an unquestionable 6 star experience. It is off the beaten path which we really enjoy; a destination. The staff were welcoming, warm, inviting. The menu was tailored for Mother's Day - prix-fixe with an array of options. The cocktails were innovative and absolutely amazing! Great wine & spirit selection. Desserts were otherworldly including a flourless chocolate cake the likes of which my palate has never experienced. A nice, relaxed atmosphere - a curated dining experience.

I have so many feelings about this restaurant. First and foremost, the food is fantastic -- truly stellar, especially for Litchfield County. You will be hard pressed to find a better meal in the area, with top-notch cocktails and delicious dishes. However, for the prices and tiny portions, one would have to expect Manhattan-level service -- and unfortunately, this is where CT falls short. Servers seem a bit inexperienced, removing dishes before they are finished without asking, or lacking polish in order-taking. Personally, I'm okay with paying $15 (!) for a couple of slices of bread (which, for the record, were excellent) -- but would expect the service to match.

I recently dined at Community Table in Connecticut, and it was an outstanding experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with an inviting and elegant atmosphere. The service was truly exceptional, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The food was incredibly flavorful, with each dish thoughtfully prepared and bursting with taste. Community Table is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal in a lovely setting.

I can honestly say that my last experience at Community Table was one of my best dining experiences in CT, in recent memory. I have been to this restaurant a few times and each time it was very good - but this last visit was so exceptional that I felt the need to write a review (which I rarely do)! Every single item we were presented was SO fresh, delicious, and a work of culinary art. The bread, the salad, the prix fixe menu, everything was top notch. I ordered the swedish meatballs as part of their prix fix menu, and it was INCREDIBLE. Each bite better than the last. For dessert I had a vanilla porridge which I did not expect to enjoy but it was delicious. I will be dreaming about my dinner at Community Table for many nights! 10/10

I have driven by this place more times than I can count & had no idea it was a restaurant until my colleague that became a very good friend told me to meet her there. It's her favorite spot. Interior is so welcoming, the staff also. They have their regulars that come in that are treated like family. Gets pretty busy for really be out in the middle of nowhere. I don't get service, but you are able to connect to their wifi. Pricing pretty high, so I'm not sure if I will return even if I wanted to!

My partner made reservations here for my birthday. This is the third time that we’ve been here and let me start off by saying that we have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. We arrived at 7:45 and we’re seated immediately. We sat in the front room along the banquette in the far right corner. There was a moldy smell in that corner almost reminded me of a dirty litter box. I couldn’t quite figure out what it was. We both started out with a French Chardonnay which was very good, I believe that was about $22 a glass. We ordered bread which was $12 to start as an appetizer along with the salad($18)with beets. The bread was pricey, but very good. The salad was also good, but there were not many beets in it. They were four small pieces of yellow beats, and the rest were thin slices of red beets. I am a meat eater so I ordered the Allen Ranch ribeye. Please look at my picture to see the size of the portion. Now I’m not a big eater, but I could not believe the size of the entrée for $46. Also, I’m just looking at the menu right now and although the description says it included Yukon gold potatoes, there were no potatoes on the plate. I have to say everything was very good but again for $46 I expected a ribeye steak on the platter, not two small pieces. I know times are tough, but this was a bit ridiculous. If it was a piece of filet mignon for $46 that might’ve been better. My partner had the salmon that he said was very good but again he said the portion size was very small. For dessert we both had the warm fallen bittersweet chocolate cake, that was very good. We would like to go back here again, but we’re going to think long and hard before we make that decision. For the two of us with the tip it was about $250.

Google
Wonderful informed and friendly service in a meticulously modern farm/tavern setting. Excellent food, inventive cocktails, and a small but dense wine list at a range of attractive prices. Desserts a tiny bit sweet would be my only adverse comment, but that didn't stop us from finishing two!

Google
After our perfect dinner just four weeks ago with outstanding good food, we were very disappointed this time. The Earth's Palate Lettuces were boring, the Head on Prawns didn’t taste and the composition hardly edible. My sons Skirt Steak was tasty but the vegetables very boring again. Do you have a new Chef? The service was disappointing as well, not noticing several times that I wanted to order something although she was at the table. Overall not a nice experience for the price… It’ll take a while to try again!

Yelp
We had a big group birthday dinner, and it was great! Our waitress was very attentive, and the food was delicious. I was a little nervous because of the small menu... but wow! I had the cabbage and it was soo good. This place is over an hour drive but I might come back if they have that still... it was a mix of sesame oil and garlic flavor, delicious! My partner had the chicken dish which was interesting but also very good.

Yelp
Community table is a small, quiet restaurant tucked away in the Litchfield Hills. Their thoughtfully crafted meals and cocktails are perfect for a date night, or an intimate dinner with friends. We loved every dish and drink we tried! With a menu that's always changing, you can look forward to trying something different each visit. This spot is perfect for dinner after a hike or a trip to a vineyard or two. Looking forward to heading back soon to try some of their summer items!

Anne W.

Yelp
Community Table is becoming our "Go To" spot. It's so much fun to eat dinner at the bar, chat with the personable bartenders and have a fabulous meal while at the lake. The Sourdough Durum Rolls as well as the Sweet Pea Hummus as a must have. The Shrimp and Scallop ceviche is also worth an order and if you're trying to eat lightly, have this. It's full of flavor and the perfect portion. I tried the trout with low expectations and I hope to have it again: it was that good! The ambiance is simple, crisp and CT chic in its own way. You'll see women in flowing summer dresses and men in jeans. It's just perfectly accepting to your vibe of the evening.

Yelp
Stay away if you don't want to feel discriminated against for having children. Took over a week and much wasted time - three emails, two voicemails, multiple phone calls - to chase down their "managing partner" Joann to inquire about a large group reservation for 18 people. Asked if she could send any info via email as it was impossible pinning her down and she was unable to keep appointments or commit to a time to speak. Finally after getting her on the phone, she says that they cannot accommodate us because we have 6 children (between the ages of 5 and 16). Would have been nice if she informed me of that via email to save me time, but I guess you don't want that kind of discrimination in writing. Never been turned down at a restaurant for bringing kids to dinner. Terrible management practices and interacting with prospective customers.

Yelp
Great food, service. Atmosphere. Love the cozy vibe. Every item on menu was outstanding. Nothing we did not love. Coffee just smells so great, which I love but can't drink after noon but a quality decaf is top notch here. Desserts - save room you want to get in on these! But a little expensive for around here. Most regulars are New Yorkers so they are used to the prices...

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at community table. Even on a Monday they were pretty busy. We have dined at community table several times over the years. On our last visit their menu had a Nordic focus which wasn't our favorite. This week we felt like it was a return to the style of cooking that made us fall in love with community table the first time we went there. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we had, but the stand out item was the perfectly cooked duck. The fat was nicely rendered, the skin was crispy, and the portions were just right. It's a bit of a drive for us but well worth it for special occasions.

Donna C.

Yelp
Food was overall good albeit very very salty. Service was excellent! If you're in lichfield and looking for fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere, go for it.

Yelp
A fun experience was had at the Community Table, all within an intimate environment while offering truly unique and inspired food and drink. Our server provided great suggestions and was very attentive. The Smoke Show cocktail featuring Bourbon, vanilla, homemade Amaretto, Luxardo, with cherry wood smoke was good but not great. It lacked a depth that was found within similar style drinks at other restaurants. Two must have shared options are the CT Sourdough Pumpernickel Rolls with Rosemary Olive Oil, Moromi Miso & Maple Butter and the Paffenroth Gardens French Onion Spread featuring Greek Yogurt, Crispy Shallots, Crudités, and seeded crackers. You need these in your life! Onto entrees, first sampled was the Cassoulet de Chasseurs with Toplands Farm Sausage, Duck Confit, Braised Wild Hive Farm Beans, and Crispy Pork Belly. This dish presented exceptionally well visually but lacked in flavor and the pork belly was very tough and difficult to cut through, even with a sharp knife. Lastly the price was eye opening for such a small portion size. The Marinated Wagyu Bavette Steak with Creamed Chickpeas, Roasted Cauliflower, Green Peppercorn Sauce, and Roasted Yellowfoot Chanterelles again presented well visually but was tough and overall unimpressive. Finally, the Seared Atlantic Scallops, Carrot-Cardamom Purée, Tamarind Chutney, Pickled Cauliflower, Onion Chutney, with Puffed Rice was perfection based on the sear of the scallops, wonderful flavors and just right portion size. It is important to note that I do not fear high prices, especially when the food quality meets expectations. However on some dishes and cocktails the price exceeded the quality or portion size expectations when compared against other similar style restaurants. This was our first visit to Community Table with much more going right than not, so I will definitely be back to try this restaurant again.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in all of Western Connecticut, and probably the best in Litchfield County. Farm-to-table, (to-mouth!) it offers a well thought out menu of starters, entrees and desserts. Limited selection menu means everything is fresh; harvested locally and prepared perfectly. Arrive for dinner 15-20 minutes early, have a drink at the bar, then prepare for a delightful dinner, made perfect with good friends.

Paul A.

Yelp
Community table has an excellent way of reminding you that food and drinks combined with good company is truly what life is all about. From staff which is super friendly and knowledgeable, to a setting of modern dining. You will truly feel warm and welcomed, and the food will keep you coming back for more! The drinks are a work of art, with flavors which will delight every taste bud, and make you have one more. The menu options are all a flavorful experience and will make you happy you choose CT! Very happy with our experience, looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Community table is simply outstanding. We are admittedly New York City snobs who dine Michelin restaurants, amongst other top tier culinary experiences, and community table is the best restaurant that we have found in Litchfield County. The food is fresh, tasty, inventive. It inspires me as a home chef to experiment with new ingredients and textures. We've been there maybe three or four times now and it was supposed to be a place where we only go on special occasions but it's turned into maybe an every-other-month sort of treat :) The owner is not the most gregarious but obviously she is a very busy, hard-working person and now that we've been there a few times, she is making it a point to come over and welcome us back. I appreciate her for making that effort and we will continue to dine at community table.

Billy L.

Yelp
Just excellent! Great food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Honey and cheese board is amazing. Drinks were creatively crafted. Delicious!

Nicole B.

Yelp
My previous review ONLY pertained to Chef Christian Hunter's tenure at Community Table. He is gone. I will not be back. Chef Hunter's food was life changing. It transcended the vibe here and the service miscues for a place positioning itself as "fine dining" and the general feeling that a "single female diner" was not welcome... Without Chef Hunter's food? There is no reason for me to visit Community Table again.

Yelp
I visited Community Table a little over a week ago for my birthday dinner and I'm happy I did. The restaurant was very rustic yet homey. The hostess and owner Joanna was very kind and sat me right away upon arrival. For my appetizer I chose the yeast rolls: paired with the butter it is life changing so please get the rolls! Lol For my main I chose the sea bass which was very flavorful (many times upscale restaurants present pretty dishes lacking in flavor- that's not the case here). For dessert I chose the chocolate cremeux which was tasty as well. If you're ever in the Litchfield Hills area it's a must that you make a reservation and visit this restaurant. Thanks Joanna, Chef Christian and the whole team for a lovely visit.

Yelp
I have eaten here twice. Both times part of the meal was excellent good & part of the just ok. Both times the service was not great. Overworked waitresses. Very expensive restaurant for the area & service doesn't match the cost. Tables are very close together and it's a bit difficult to get around/get up. My first meal here was supposed to be a "complimentary meal" for husband volunteering to rid the restaurant of its beaver problem causing flooding (labor intensive). The bill was presented & it was over $300. One drink was ordered. Not the warm thanks we expected. Second visit was someone's birthday so it wasn't up to me to choose restaurant. 3 people, no alcohol and another $300. Honestly I would only return if someone picked up the tab. Too bad as its a good location for us local beaver hunters.

Yelp
This is an excellent restaurant in the Litchfield County area. I was spending a few days in this area and we had such a fabulous meal that we wanted to go back for dinner the next night! The service, ambiance, and food is all amazing. This is a farm to table restaurant where the menu changes nightly, and everything is local and seasonal. We ordered the sourdough rolls with honey butter, the earth palate lettuces with ramp goddess dressing, the bucatini and striped bass. Each dish was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. It's an expensive place but so worth it for the quality of food and overall dining experience.

Yelp
It's adorable. It's delicious. Its thoughtful, intentional, and it shows. My husband and I have been road tripping through New England and found this place while staying in Torrington. They were able to fit us in and I'm so glad they did - CT was completely hopping on a Monday (!) so we were lucky to get a table. We started with the sourdough cardamom buns, which made me have a religious experience. I love baking (and trying baked goods) so much, so once I saw these on the menu, I knew we had to have them. The outside was so crispy and salty, the inside so fragrant and pillowy, it just melted. I've only had one other pastry as good as this and that was from a bakery in Iceland. Holding in the the intense joy this caused was really difficult. The bar was set really high with the buns, but everything that followed was equally as good. We also tried the steelhead trout and chicken thighs, both of which were fantastic. Having never had corn risotto before I was a bit skeptical, but I needn't have worried - it was a delight! A note to anyone trying the chicken thighs - they do contain cilantro (which is noted on the menu), so be mindful if you are one of the unfortunate soap-tasting folks. If they can make it without it, this dish is worth it. We finished with the peach galette, which was also a triumph. Whomever the pastry chef is, they deserve a million raises and high fives. I will say that CT is on the expensive side, but overall worth it to us. I felt that the cocktail prices were a bit high for what I got, though. Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and clearly made with love. Thank you so much for fitting us in and giving us some excellent food memories - I'll be thinking about those cardamom buns for a long time.

Mahesh P.

Yelp
Fresh, clear flavors in upscale fare. The food is "upscale" - presentation, styling, ingredients, etc. - but the place is more like "upscale casual". Which isn't a bad thing, given the locale - this feels like something that would be absolutely at home in Napa. All that said, you really should check the place out if you're in the 'hood... (btw, the cocktails are *outstanding*)

Rose F.

Yelp
The food is so good but it takes a pretty long time to get there. I think thats one of my favorite restaurants my hamburger was delicious the lighting was a little dark p.s. i'm 8 years old

Hans H.

Yelp
Outstanding experience. Very very excellent food overall. I don't want to ruin your experience but spoiling it. Just go. You will love it.

Brianna M.

Yelp
These 4 dishes were delicious, light, and packed with flavor. Not to mention the cocktails we enjoyed were delightful: the farmarita and front porch. We would absolutely recommend a dinner here!

C H.

Yelp
Heads up all... My debit card was just charged $477 by the business, my bank declined because it was a fraudulent charge. Check your bank charges everyday people

Paul M.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday dinner, excited about the menu and to try their selection of wines. I got through my first glass of wine and put in my food order then was ignored for 20+ minutes with an empty glass in front of me. Finally the manager, I think, took notice and said something to her, to which they both looked at me, then she carried on again without saying anything. When the manager came out with the food I asked for it to be placed in a to-go container and for the check. I suppose I'll eat my birthday dinner at home, but at least I have wine there...

T P.

Yelp
It's very few restaurants that can check off all the boxes...CT is one of them. We have had the privilege to dine at Michelin establishments reaching from Copenhagen to Maui, etc and the ambience, service, food quality all deserve The menu was wide ranging but not intimidating. If I could have the cardamon sour dough honey bun bread every day I would. The dry aged ragu pasta is a dish of such refinement truly memorable. The only complaint...I was too full for desert. Will visit again as this was our third time dining. Bravo chef and staff.

Kelly D.

Yelp
Me and my S/O dined here for our anniversary this past weekend. We came in very excited to explore the menu after seeing such great reviews. We order the chilled tomato bisque and the shishito chaat to start, followed by the ribeye and scallops as our main, and last the chocolate cremuex for dessert. Unfortunately the $48 ribeye that was suppose to be prepared medium rare was served medium-medium well and the whole dish was cold. The steak was underwhelming which is always a disappointment when you're hoping to get what you pay for. And the potatoes and creamed greens were lacking in flavor. However I will say the ribeye was surprisingly tender. The scallops dish was definitely the better of the two. More flavorful but also nothing exceptional. We would have loved to bring this up to our server but we were hungry and trying to make a show so we just ate our meals. We did enjoy the ambiance and service. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I'm sad to say our $200 meal was not worth it for us and I don't see a point in returning.

Yelp
A hidden gem in washington, Connecticut that takes the term "farm to table" to a new realm. An intimate experience with a smaller menu to concentrate on the quality of food being prepared and served. Interior of the facility is very welcoming, with bar seating along with tables. The lighting itself is even relaxing as they dont use any blue light or other bright lights in the dining area. Had the CT sourdough yeast rolls with smoked honey butter. The rolls have a fluffy interior with a firm, crisp exterior. The butter though; out of this world. A must have for anyone who appreciates quality butter.  A great selection of cocktails, I went with the bourbon crisp which has a very subtle touch of bourbon whiskey, complimented by apple cider and fresh ginger juice. The autumn gin blossom has taken my love of gin to an even higher level of appreciation from an infusion with chamomile mixed with pomegranate. New england cheeses from the First section of the menu had a well-balanced variety for a charcuterie board. The honey comb stood out above all. The salmon dip was an incredible experience with seed crackers and veggies for dipping in a perfectly salmon infused dip. This salmon dip has my vote for must have off the menu. Sweet potatoe wedges were crisp and sweet, with a delicious beer ketchup! I am not a fan of ketchup whatsoever, but this was truly something unique. Lump crab wontons will push your idea of wontons to a new level of cuisine, a crispy, creamy journey through the taste buds. The pheasant was well cooked, juicy and a savory burst of flavor. There is so much going on with this dish from the chewy texture of the mushrooms, crunch of the kale and sweet, silky pheasant sent me into a food bliss. Overall this is an amazing dining experience that is well worth the extra money. Not many other restaurants offer the same quality of ingredients alone, not to mention the clearly evident expertise of those in the kitchen. Service was exquisite and consistent without ever feeling like you are "waiting" on the next thing.

Lauren J.

Yelp
Food and service were both outstanding!! A must if you're in the area. Yum!! I had the scallops and they were absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection.

Zach S.

Yelp
Amazing. Every dish blew us away. The drinks, appetizers and main courses were all spectacular

Yelp
I was looking forward to our first visit and had expected to have a wonderful meal with attentive service but was very let down. We were not welcomed in a friendly manner for our reservation at 8 pm last night - we stood at the doorway for a few minutes really having no idea what to do- no one seemed to care and there was no hostess to ask. Eventually I asked a bartender and we were told to sit at the bar while she found the hostess. The restaurant is small/cozy, and we were seated at a small table by the door that shook every time someone walked in or out. Service was very slow and not nearly attentive enough for a restaurant at this price point - they seemed overwhelmed. We were sitting so uncomfortably close to the person at the next table (a four top that had six seated at it) that it was impossible for our server to stand between tables. The timing wasn't right on the entrees- my bucatini, though delicious, arrived cold; my husband's Korean beef was fabulous and he really enjoyed it. They packed in too many customers for the staff they had, water was not refilled, no one - not once- checked to see if our food was ok or if we needed anything. Our servers were amiable but frenzied; I wouldn't recommend going on a Friday or Saturday because last night they tried to feed more people than they had space or staff for, and as a result our experience was sub par.

Zach R.

Yelp
Fantastic seasonal, fresh, local ingredients, great cocktails and wine program in a chic space. Our fav in Litchfield County.

Patrizia G.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! Had a great dinning experience here. The setting is great and the service was also very good. We started of with some cocktails Including the Bees Knees, Summer Rose, and El Diablo. All the drinks were great and the presentation was also perfection. For appetizer we got the sampler cheese plate and the hummus dip, which was so delicious. For my main meal I decided to go with 2 appetizers including the chilled cucumber soup and Meatballs. Both I would highly recommend. Everyone else in my party raves about their main course as well. With the main meal we got the best rolls!!! So yummy! They melt in your mouth. For dessert i had the Passion Fruit which was so delicious. Overall great dinner and will definitely be coming back here. Especially looking forward to when their menu changes up.

Christina M.

Yelp
This is a tough review for me to write in all honesty. First of all, I want to say that the place itself is really pretty inside. It's modern, updated, sophisticated. You need a reservation to dine here which is not a problem most of the time. We had a reservation this past weekend. It was our first visit and we had high hopes.. thinking it would be a 'regular' in our rotation of favorites. This is sadly not the case for several reasons. The food, its quality, its taste, its preparation and attention to detail were really good- delicious in fact. My concern when we first sat down was the very limited, and very expensive choices. This restaurant provides nothing complimentary. The bread was an up charge. The salads were a second course. The main dish offerings were extremely limited- we had to choose from a steak for two meal for $110, a duck entree, a seafood (prawns maybe?) entree, and a roasted fennel entree... yes.. the entree was roasted fennel. For someone who doesn't eat red meat or game meats, and who is allergic to shellfish, I had no choice but to order the fennel. Again. The dishes are truly expertly prepared here. No question of that. But the extremely limited choices, the prices on their menu items, and the fact that the clientele here is not the very sociable, warm fuzzy kind, nor is the staff, I don't think we will be likely to return.

Michelle S.

Yelp
We made a reservation for four and had a lovely experience here. Their menu is small, but changes extremely frequently so you don't get tired of getting the same dishes over and over again. When you walk in this restaurant, you feel like you're in NY, not CT, which is pretty cool. We started off with some pricey drinks that I wasn't all that fond of, but the food definitely made up for any shortfall of alcoholic concoctions. We tried the appetizers of bread, bucatini (one of the highlights of the night) and Swedish meatballs. Everything was delicious but the bucatini with truffles just totally stole the show. For the main course, I had the NY strip, 2 people tried the Scallops, and the other had the duck. Everyone was extremely pleased with their food. The NY Strip was nothing short of amazing, and although I was already getting super full, I knew I wasn't leaving anything on my plate! I really liked the compote that came with the steak and the combo of arugula with green beans. Dessert was good, too. We got the chocolate cake, sorbet, and the creme brûlée. The creme brûlée was definitely my favorite, but the chocolate cake wasn't too far behind. The service was pretty good. No small talk, just straight to the point. Food took a while to come out, but it was a good break in between the courses. I would def come here again. Food is absolutely worth the value. We paid a little over $430 for the four of us, including tip.

Melissa P.

Yelp
We have been eyeing this restaurant for a very long time! The reviews on its seasonal menu and expert cocktails had us hooked! The decor and presentation is thoughtful and calming. The menu was well thought out and purposeful. Some of the highlights: Rhode Island wild mushrooms (if you don't like mushrooms you should still try this because it will change your mind) shrimp and scallop ceviche and the smoked heritage pork chop which was award worthy. The cocktails were fun and paired well with the menu. Lastly, try the bread starter their house made smoked butter will make you wish you had an endless amount of vessels to put it on, no joke. We had a great dinner, service was great and they cared about how we were doing without hovering or asking every second. A very well balanced experience

Mia S.

Yelp
We came here during Covid pandemic and was seated outdoor in the backyard. There was social distancing and people were all wearing masks when they are not at their tables. The food was delicious. They have several vegetarian options. I liked the soup, the burger and the peach cobbler dessert. The menu is seasonal which I love. I'd recommend this place if you are in the area.

Jessica B.

Yelp
Beautiful space, intimate setting, delicious and gorgeously presented food and wine. I ate here with my two sisters on a Saturday night, and we had the perfect evening!

Donald W.

Yelp
We have dined at CT before and have enjoyed it. The prices are high, but the staff is very helpful and accommodating, and usually the food is good. We dined there tonight, on Monday, for hamburger night, expecting a great hamburger. Unfortunately this was not the case. My medium rare hamburger came out well done. I got a bacon burger, two strips of nice thick bacon....uncooked. I also requested caramelized onions, instead an ice cream scoop of onion goo. To be fair, the fingerling potatoes were good, but a $30 hamburger that was inedible was not....3 stars is a gift. Perhaps the chef is unfamiliar with simple food. We will go back and give it another try, but honestly, at these prices, Arethusa Restaurant, just up the road, is better bet!

Ashley O.

Yelp
We unfortunately weren't impressed with our meal or the service here. We ordered the rolls, heirloom tomato salad, corn bisque, homemade pasta, duck confit, and lobster. For dessert we had the chocolate creme. It was our first time visiting, I had been wanting to try CT for a while. The menu and ingredients all sounded complex and interesting; the inside is beautiful, and I expected service that matched. Our server was curt and really didn't make much convo at all, even when I shared that it was our first time and we were hoping to try many of the dishes. We honestly felt like we were bothering her. Now on to the food. The bread was the best thing we ate. The honey and cardamom was delicious. I don't think it's a good sign when the bread was your favorite thing. The heirloom tomato salad was fine and not memorable. Heirloom tomatoes are so beautiful but this salad made them ugly. It needed sea salt. The corn bisque was really flavorful and delicious but the pickled shrimp in it weren't necessary. They were dry and didn't need to be there. The duck confit had great flavor (think of a Thai duck salad) but the duck was dry and overcooked not what you would expect for a confit or a $250+ dinner. The homemade pasta was also fine, just OK. The plating left a lot to be desired (see pic). The lobster was probably our favorite after the bread and the corn bisque, but also kind of strange. Their was a soggy succotash and the whole plate was cold. Was it supposed to be cold? No, I don't think so. The purple potatoes were brownish after soaking in the sauce. Why not make them crispy and add some texture? The chocolate creme was delicious and the cocktails were very good. Based on this visit, I wouldn't be back.

Yelp
Delicious, creative menu with subtle seasoning and beautiful presentation. The wine list was very good but a small pour. The service was fine but not up to the price of this restaurant. We barely finished our starters when the main dish arrived. We didn't stay for dessert, though the pumpkin seed brittle was a lovely touch!

Yelp
Community table did NOT disappoint! The decor and atmosphere was very appealing and staff was helpful and accommodating. We ordered a little bit of everything, they were able to accommodate me being gluten free. My fiancé said the rolls were some of the best he's ever eaten and he's a tough critic. Everything was delicious and visually appealing. Cannot wait to go again. Definitely worth a trip!

Yelp
I absolutely loved our meal I thought everything was delicious. The portions are very tiny which was a bit of a disappointment because I wanted more of the amazing food, but the service was immaculate and lovely.

Yelp
great people, atmosphere and food. We are fortunate indeed, to have a restaurant of this caliber in northwestern Connecticut

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Was visiting from New York and am very jealous. Everything on the table was delicious. Extremely tender duck, wonderful pumpernickel, sausage and fava bean pasta was the highlight -- and their wine list is so good and so cheap for what it is. Big portions, took a bunch home!

Yelp
Super bummer last day was yesterday 5/15/17. Let's hope and pray another stellar restaurant returns to this spot. Hey, how about some summer pop ups?

Yelp
Came to CT to celebrate my and my fiancé's birthdays with my family. As someone who's lived in Manhattan, Hollywood, and San Francisco, and dined in some of the country's finest, I was delighted to find such an exquisite gem of a restaurant tucked away in rural Connecticut. The space is lovely, the service warm, inviting, impeccable - the food expertly prepared with a variety of options for vegans, vegetarians, and meat-eaters alike. The wine list was extensive and thoughtfully curated, the cocktails were perfect. Everything we ordered was plated and presented beautifully. The dishes were creative yet classic, flavors were on point and portrayed a delicate balance of rustic fine dining, showcasing local in-season fare. Pricing was appropriate and felt reasonable given the quality of the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Absolutely loved dining at CT, it's special enough for celebrations, and delightful enough to make it a regular habit - we cannot wait to return!

Yelp
Delicious food, beautiful spotless clean atmosphere and we felt very safe during COVID. Tables were spaced nicely apart and Joann made sure we felt comfortable. A treasure to have in our small community!
