High-Design Spa Hotels in the Dolomites, Italy’s Most Scenic Mountain Range

"Set on a plateau between Sasso Lungo and the Alpe di Siusi peaks, I found COMO Alpina Dolomites to be an otherworldly, One‑Key stay: the main hotel and spa sit in a white granite block beside an iconic circular annex nicknamed “the UFO,” with eclectic interiors by Paola Navone. Its spectacular location gives guests vast sunrise-to-sunset mountain exposure, and it doubles as a hub for one of Europe’s largest ski areas with trails reachable via an extensive gondola network." - Laura Rysman

COMO Alpina Dolomites (Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, Alps / Dolomites) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Not many hotels can claim residence within a UNESCO world heritage site, but the spectacular Dolomites qualify, and the COMO Alpina Dolomites is both immersed in, and inspired by, Italy’s famous peaks. This luxurious lodge offers as adventurous an outdoor experience as you like, paired with all the five-star comforts you can handle, including an elaborate spa. Rooms and suites are spacious and tasteful, Alpine in inspiration though contemporary in style, and each room has a balcony or a terrace with a view. The Lodge’s two restaurants offer both Mediterranean and international fare, with a focus on ecologically sourced ingredients, and the bar and cigar lounge each provide a welcoming space to end — or begin — an evening." - Tablet Hotels

Stayed for two nights. Arrived late the first night due to bad weather but there was no one there to receive us and help with the luggage. I had to take the trolley myself and load up the luggage on my own. Rooms were ordinary and not representative of the price per night. Breakfast was fantastic. Food was well prepared, arranged, and tasted heavenly. Items were extremely fresh and ingredients were high quality. However, there was no consistency in the quality of the food. There was some noticeable difference in the cooking of some of the breakfast menu items from the first day to the second day. Some staff had impeccable service while others were curt and borderline rude. However, there was also a surprise bottle of champagne for our special occasion. The food and view are top notch, but despite that, I cannot justify paying more than SGD $1K a night, and I have to say it definitely felt way overpriced.

Ultimate Apres vibe even though we did not come at the ski season. The terrace overlooking the Alpe di Siusi is beautiful. Service is amazing. Best surprise js the price: Aperol Spritz for 12EUR with no service charge!? Too good for an experience.

This is an excellent hotel, wholeheartedly living up to the 5 star experience and value of what you would expect for the price point. What made it special were the kind people from the front desk to the spa, as well as thoughtful touches through the stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. We felt so relaxed and pampered after 2 weeks of strenuous hiking. Special thanks to Sylvia and Lativia at the spa! The inclusive breakfast included a variety of fresh and high quality foods. The setting is beautiful and it is definitely suitable for couples as well as families.

When it comes to the Alpe di Susi, there are many options to choose from.|From small Refuges to boutique Hotels nested in the Alpe. The Como, a very large structure, another option amongst the many.|It is challenging to offer an impeccable curated experience in very large settings. |The overall experience is a good one, a bit impersonal but good. |The rooms are a bit noisy due to the cable car operating just a few yards away. Air conditioning is only available in a few suites located in a detached building. It can be warm at night so sleeping with the windows open is a must.|The property has 3 restaurants. One serves a good selection of Pizza, but the overall quality does not match the one found in the different Malgas/Hutte located around the Alpe. Their cuisine is far superior, especially at the Zallinger Restaurant.|The SPA area is very large, its Management "stuffy" as, unfortunately, it is in many SPAs.|The common areas are clean, and very well decorated. The hotel structure is 30 years old, but it has been remodeled. The corridors are dark. Staff is a hit-and-miss as it is in many large properties. |The guides are knowledgable and offer many useful suggestions. |If you travel with children the property offers wide and secure spaces where they can play, including a dedicated play ground..|I am not in love with the property's design, but that is a personal opinion. |The concierge offers excellent service and it is essential to discover all the Alpe has to offer.|4 1/2 stars.

Amazing accommodations. Perfectly situated with views from all areas of the hotel. Excellent service, attention to detail. Especially loved that they had a little snack section set up in the bar area for hungry hikers each afternoon. Food and non alcoholic drinks free and replenished daily. Breakfast choices plentiful. The pool and spa area are lovely as well.

The stunning beauty of the surrounding area, combined with the luxurious rooms and spa facilities, was incredibly unique and enjoyable. The staff, from the front desk and concierge, to the restaurants, bars, and spa were top-notch. Breakfast each morning was sumptuous, and all of our meals were filled with locally sourced food and wine options. The massage I had with Simone was one of the top 5 I've ever had, and the spa facilities were excellent.

Location is great for accessibility to hiking areas and views. Quick responses when in person at hotel from the front desk and concierge. Excellent service in restaurants. But whomever designed this hotel had an obsession with blue…from blue shag rugs, tables, chairs, lamp shades, it’s blue everywhere you look. I’m not a fan and wish it had more of a soothing mountain chic decor feel. But, I will say that it is all new decor and in new condition. After visiting other 5 star resorts in the Dolomites I don’t prefer this overly exaggerated blue decor…but if decor isn’t your thing, this place is excellent for location, views and generally service. They can improve the software to schedule spa appointments as this was super cumbersome and took spa staff over 30 minutes to book a few appointments because appointment booking software is terrible. Concierge is great but during busy morning hours, there should be two concierge to help because one person isn’t enough to handle so many people, but she did a great job. Check in was easy, room service is fast, valet was quick, spa is lovely. But I recommend changing the decor and improving ease of scheduling spa appointments. I emailed before arriving to request spa appointments so if be all set when we arrived, but nobody responded. Also, there could be some variability in breakfast items offered as after 3 days of same breakfast, it gets a little boring. Overall, we’d definitely stay here again, but this is just constructive criticism to improve this resort even further. Thank you to the staff for a lovely stay.

This was the nicest hotel we stayed in. It was excellent and beautiful. The restraunts and bar were also wonderful. The pool was relaxing and views stunning. Only issue was it was 1. The most expensive place we stayed in Italy and 2. Somehow was the only place without AC during sweltering heat. Still, hard not to recommend for the Dolomites.
