A fantastic BBQ spot! We ate here with friends and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming — perfect for hanging out and enjoying good food. Everything we tried was packed with flavor; the smoked meats were tender and juicy, and the sides tasted just as fresh and homemade. Service was friendly and fast, and you can tell the staff takes pride in what they do. Great drink selection too, with plenty of local beers and cocktails to pair with your meal. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Columbia, this place is definitely worth a stop for quality barbecue and a fun, laid-back vibe.

Google
Tried this location for the first time and I think it was even better than the other location. The funnel cake fries were the same, just as delicious. The pulled pork is so tender... I think it's one of the best I've ever had. I got the bacon BLT to compare it to the other location and the bread was more crispy, which is a win for me. Honestly could be the best BLT I've ever had. The waitress suggested crispy fried green tomatoes instead of regular tomatoes for my bacon BLT and I feel like that made it better as well. There was an extra crunch in each bite. They call it a bacon BLT because they put so much bacon on it. I posted a picture showing the inside load of bacon. We also got fried pickles and they were delicious. You get spheres of fried pickles and some ranch to dip it in. For the half size you get four spheres. The sweet barbecue sauce is more of a vinegar based barbecue. The spicy barbecue is more sweet than the other two, but it does have a spicy kick. The Carolina BBQ is a mustard based barbecue. We came on a Friday at 5:00 p.m. and they were packed but we only had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for a table. Several people walked in and out because they didn't want to wait, but I will say it was definitely worth the wait. There is less seating at this location than the other. I would choose to wait again though.

CoMo Smoke and Fire is a family favorite. We went Sunday for lunch and it did NOT disappoint. We had a party of 8 and they seated us at two tables so we could spread out. Our server was so friendly and efficient. She kept our drinks filled and offered to-go drinks. She brought the kids yarn art to make and put on the wall (even the 16 year old kid). The food was so delicious, as usual. A lot of our family enjoy the beef burnt ends, but all of it was delicious. The fried dill pickles are another family favorite.

Google
The smoked turkey and ribs were delicious. So delicious I ordered more to take home. Side dishes were really good as well. I suggest this place to all.

Google
I loved my burnt ends, best I've ever had by far. My wife and son did not care for their food; said it was lukewarm. So we had a mixed experience. Service was good, maybe a bit rushed. Nice kid though. The press board walls look cheap; I think CoMo S&F makes enough money they could probably upgrade. I'll likely try the O.G. location to compare.

Google
Food was great. Ribs were a littlenunderseasoned for my taste, but were tasty. Loaded potato salad slapped. Hand cut fries were bussin. They were out of tortilla chips so we couldn't get the bbq nachos. Will return fosho.

Google
We was sent here for dinner. We have high standards for BBQ. The turkey was good. The sides were not. The pasta tasted too much like warm beer....Mac n cheese wasn't fresh...baked beans were bland n spicy.

Google
This place was amazing! The food was fantastic! The sizes were more than generous. Their fries are homemade you can tell and so good it was hard to stop eating them all before the rest of the meal. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. My family and I will for sure be eating here again in the future. The only thing I can think of is the price. It's a bit steep but they make up for it with the amazing food and portions I think.

Yelp
We had a pork plate, beans, fries and salad with pork. It was decent bbq. Fries were over cooked. Sauces were very thin and runny but tasted ok. Service was good and we enjoyed a beautiful day eating outside. Not sure it would be my go to bbq place.

Yelp
This has the ambiance you would expect in a bbq joint. Our server (a young brunette guy with glasses--can't remember his name) was great. I ordered the Texas burger on his recommendation and it was incredible! I love spicy and this really hit the spot. This isn't a cheap place, but portions are generous and food was delicious.

Yelp
I enjoyed this location a lot last time so decided to try it again. Unfortunately for me and $90 later on a to go order... the brisket was overcooked and dry. The Mac n cheese was dry and tasted like it was microwaved. The pork sandwich was dry also. We got fried mushrooms as an appetizer and the ranch they put into the box in a container was completely melted and had holes in the lid. What the heck happened? I pay good money for food and get low quality food. I always leave honest reviews however. Very disappointed and do not think I'll be back to this location.

Yelp
7/30 seated by staff about 5 min after arriving. I never received any service. Waited 20 min and left. The floors, tables and seats were very sticky and not clean. I was very disappointed as I eat lunch here fairly often and this level of service was a surprise

Yelp
There are two truly good BBQ spots in town. Appropriately one on the North Side, Big Daddy's. Then one on the south, and that is hands down the best one South of I-70. Not just in Columbia but potentially outside of Kansas City and St. Louis. That's no offense to any establishment in northern or southern Missouri but it honestly doesn't compare. What sets it apart is 3 things. 1. The meat is so well seasoned it doesn't need sauce. Now people say this all the time and I've never found it to be true. I enjoy a good bbq sauce and I seek it out, so I haven't met any meat that didn't need it. Until I had their pulled pork. Now it is GOOD with sauce, but it's literally that good you could eat the whole sandwich and never miss it. 2. The MUSTARD BBQ SAUCE. I know what you're thinking and you're wrong, not that flavor profile and not that kind of mustard. You will get it and wish you got more. 3. The Price! You'll find that you pay about the same for a combo here as at several fast food restaurants. The difference? Better tasting food, better quality food, more food, and the drive thru is almost never crowded. Haven't sat down inside but it's probably even better tableside.

Yelp
Went in tonight. They were very busy but Megan W did a great job of taking care of us. We all had the sampler platter. The ribs were fall off the bone good and the brisket was super. Great choice. Give them a try

Yelp
Excellent food, we got it to go, but it's a lovely spot. It was up with the best of KC and that's saying a lot.

Rick B.

Yelp
Food and service were great! Long list of appetizers! Only issues were sticky tables and annoying flys.

Yelp
Best smoked meats in central Missouri. Burnt ends are our fave. The smoked wings with garlic parm sauce (on the side) are also good. All sides are great.

Yelp
The food was very tasty! Good selection of plates. The staff were fast and friendly! The ambiance was great and had a BBQ feel. The bar had a good selection of drinks.

Yelp
I finally tried COMO Smoke and fire! How freaking delicious it was!? I ordered online and picked up within 20 minutes. Easy pickup. They did forget my drink, but no worries I went back for it. A couple of things to note is the portion size for the sides is extremely small for the price. It was $3.50 for less than a cup of Mac n cheese (I measured). The Mac n cheese was delicious but I ate it in maybe 4 bites. Since I did pick up, it wasn't warm and it wasn't very saucy anymore. What I ordered: Main entree, Pulled pork sandwich 5/5 - good amount of meat, delicious with the sauces. I had the mustard bbq and sweet bbq with it and loved every bite. It came with pickles and onions which were a good touch. Every bite was delicious and it was a good amount of sandwich! Baked beans, 2/5 I was very sad about these. I was expecting something a long the lines of honey baked beans. That's my fault though. I still didn't enjoy them, they weren't to my tastebud's liking. It wasn't gross but wasn't yummy. Mac n cheese, taste was 5/5 but portion with price is 1/5 - delicious velveeta- like goodness. I could eat a bucket of this. Wish I could taste it fresher but the pools of cheese in the shell was so yum! Cant wait to try more of the menu. The place seemed super clean!

Yelp
The place was like a deep freeze! They were asked several times to do something about it and they didn't. Also, food over priced

Yelp
Showed up early on a Saturday (11:15ish) - the bbq sauce on the table was only half full, the napkins at the table ran out during our meal, and the table was sticky. The restaurant was not busy and staff members were standing around texting - so in my mind, this was an attention to detail issue. There appeared to be time to stock and clean before the shift - it just wasn't done. Fries were limp - neither me or my daughter had more than a couple, my sandwich was just okay, and my daughter's ribs were excellent. For the cost vs. quality, I will probably try somewhere else next time.

Yelp
This restaurant and its food are absolutely phenomenal! The service was amazing! They checked on us frequently and did an amazing job taking care of us! We sat on the patio since the weather was nice and making our visit overall was impeccable!

Yelp
We ordered from Arizona for our daughter's graduation from Mizzu Vet School . We ordered sliced brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, Mac & Cheese, potato salad and all the fixings. Food was delivered on time and set-up perfectly. The food, service and experience were all wonderful along with the helpful staff!!!

Yelp
Great food but they have raised their prices recently. A year ago, the Carolina burger was $13.99 - today: $18.99. Fountain soda is the highest price I've seen anywhere - $3.49. Their handheld device for paying/tipping is always set at 25% tip - you can adjust it but the sever is watching you do so.

Leighton B.

Yelp
Their brisket Nachos were real good the sauce was good and the jalapeños were not that hot to every thing on it was good the sauce was the best thing you should try it !!!!!

Yelp
Friday night and the place wasn't packed. But we sat there 20 minutes and no one attended us. Not even drinks. If it was an off day for someone they shouldn't take it out on the customers. It smelled good, but that was it.

Katie B.

Yelp
Their menu has a ton of great options and everything I've gotten here has been so good. Staff was friendly. Only complaint is the table was sticky, but it is a BBQ place so... that's not too surprising.

Yelp
The best BBQ I have had in Columbia! The pulled pork plate was delicious with a great smoky flavor. The fries were crispy. The brisket nachos were yummy and very loaded. We probably could have split either of those dishes and it would have been enough food. Price is good for the taste and portion sizes.

Yelp
Our first time and last time to visit this place. We walked into the restaurant at 7:30 and was greeted by a pleasant hostess who was going to seat us. The restaurant was reasonably busy. However, this rather rude man loudly says that it was too late to eat. We pointed out that the sign says that they close at 8pm. "Well we have turned off our signs." If you close at 7:30pm you should post it as such.

Bernie A.

Yelp
Had The Sampler. Great BBQ. Great service. Nice clean seating and ambiance. We highly recommend and will return.

Karen R.

Yelp
Service was great, right at closing time, so the food I ordered came with a little bonus of macaroni and cheese. Honestly, I don't remember much about the food because it was overshadowed by the amazing funnel cake fries!

Jim G.

Yelp
Just really good. Great service too. Don't let the location next to a gas station fool you.
