This club is the worst part of the Westin. I was trying to enjoy a weekend staycation with my husband for our anniversary. But that was quickly soured as the blaring club music that felt like someone put a speaker directly on our window. I could still hear it with a sound machine and ear plugs…When discussed with the front desk, they said it was normal for floors 2-4 to hear this. Personally, I don’t think it is normal for hotel guests to be subjected to club music while trying to get to sleep at 10 p.m. especially when you pay $300 a night, but that’s just me. The Westin ended up moving us several floors up in the middle of the night so we could sleep. Laughably, we got up to floor 10+ and WE COULD STILL HEAR THE DAMN MUSIC AT MIDNIGHT.

Nestled within The Woodlands, this bar and restaurant offers a dining experience that's both surprising and perplexing. The atmosphere seamlessly marries modernity with classic charm, and the picturesque terrace overlooking The Woodlands waterway is a true gem. Culinary-wise, the establishment leans into Italian-American fare with a simple menu that showcases pizzas and bite-sized delights. The star of the show here is undeniably the pizza. Laden with rich cheese and flavorsome sauce, it's the exceptionally thin, delicately crispy crust with slightly burnt edges that steals the spotlight. However, the promise of the Fritto Misto dish falls short, with indications that it may have been hastily reheated, robbing it of the expected seafood freshness and crunchy texture. Regrettably, the cocktails do not rise to the same standard. It's apparent that the bartender lacks the finesse of free pouring, as my amaretto sour was compromised by an excess of lemon juice, obscuring the liquor's true essence. The signature cocktails on offer lack the excitement and are often tainted by subpar well liquors, an overabundance of artificial flavors, and an excessive sweetness. If you're seeking meticulously crafted cocktails, this may not be your libation haven. On a brighter note, the live music acts as a melodic counterpart to the pleasing setting, making it a standout attraction alongside the scenic views and the commendable pizza. It might be wise to return for these highlights and opt for simpler libations, such as a glass of wine or a beer. However, the Achilles' heel of this establishment is its service—or lack thereof. Staff members appear inattentive, with a noticeable lack of care for customer service beyond the bar. Even when seated at the bar, one is left parched, as water is an afterthought, and the basic act of placing a napkin under a drink is often overlooked. Straws, a common fixture in cocktails, are provided only upon request, a departure from the industry standard. Service shortcomings extend to the dining areas, where guests find themselves forgotten, waiting to order, and ultimately taking matters into their own hands by requesting the bill. In summary, this venue possesses untapped potential that could be unleashed with more effective management, a more attentive and dedicated staff, and a more inventive approach to crafting cocktails. While it boasts compelling elements in the form of live music, the scenic backdrop, and the remarkable pizza, these positives are overshadowed by the inadequacies in service and cocktail preparation.

The atmosphere here was amazing! I would go back for it alone. But, the service was alright. We had a waitress who took our order initially, but then left us for 30 mins without an explanation. Mind you, this was before the night got busy. Then another waiter came up and asked if we had been seen and processed to ask us what we had and brought our drinks to us. After that, no one came and talked to us for an hour, possibly longer. Unfortunately, my partner's drink glass had a funny odor, and the drinks were not balanced well. Possibly because they had been sitting at the bar for a while. Regardless, the atmosphere was amazing.

Unfortunately, you have to post at least a star to post a comment. It does not even deserve the one star!! We went into the Como Social Club tonight with the intent to enjoy an evening out in the town. My boyfriend and myself had never been to this establishment before. However, my sister that we were with had been there several times before. She was the one who recommended us to go there. Well, after tonight, she would recommend that no one go there. Let me tell you about our experience….my boyfriend is African-American and my sister and I are both white. We were all three appropriately dressed for a nice night out. My boyfriend had on nice pressed jeans, a fresh white button up shirt, dress loafers, and a fedora style hat. He lead the way into the club as we walked in from the elevator. A gentleman(Roberto - Club Security) walked from across the room and immediately, in what I felt was rather aggressive, walked up to my boyfriend and told him that there is a no hat policy and that he would have to take it off. There was no introduction. No ‘excuse me sir’. NOTHING. I immediately looked across the room and saw a white gentleman standing in the same area in which the man came from with a hat that was much like what my boyfriend had on. I immediately pointed into the man’s direction and pointed out that he had in the very same style hat so what is the difference. The gentleman stated that he was the singer for the night so he could wear the hat. I voiced that I didn’t understand what the difference was, but OK. This behavior immediately gave me a bad vibe. We walked out to the patio area to find a table to sit at. There were ladies sitting in the couches and two couples at a two tables. It was not overly crowded that you wouldn’t notice that three new people had come to sit at a table. A server walked right past us and never ask if she could help us. We were sitting there discussing amongst ourselves what was going on. Still no one came. We turned to look at the server area at the bar. There were two servers just standing there talking and laughing. We still sat there with no service. My sister decided to approach the bar and ask for a manager. She did end up speaking to Danielle, the Food and Beverage Management, and she ask about the hat policy. Danielle stated that the hat policy states no baseball caps. Danielle came to our table to see that the hat my boyfriend had one was definitely not a baseball cap. We discussed with her the situation. She did apologize and offered to send us a round of drinks or shots. We informed her that we were not interested in getting anything free. We just want to be treated fairly. As we were preparing to leave our table, the same server that had already walked past us and who stood and talked and laughed with her coworkers, came over to ask if we needed anything. By this point, the mood had been killed. None of us are the type to use “the race card” but this was blatantly how this situation played out. We did inform Roberto that we would make sure to let everyone know how he treats people. He, of course, stated that he was told no caps and that’s why he said something. However, before I prepared this review, I was looking in the Como Social Club Face Book page. There is a very recent video that was posted that shows Roberto as the gentleman standing at the top of the stairway and MULTIPLE men in the videos, both customers and performers, wearing hats. This shows that Roberto knew very well the hat that my boyfriend had on was acceptable.

We love it here!! Second visit was just as great as the first. It’s like a swanky speakeasy with live piano and vocals - great drinks, great atmosphere, super friendly service (shoutout Cintia, Joseph, and Ziggy!!) and no cover charge!! Come check it out, 10/10 all around!!

On the evening of November 23, 2024, at approximately 9:50 PM, I, along with two companions, entered the Como Social Club. Upon our arrival, a man approached us in a confrontational manner, stating that hats were not permitted. One of my companions was wearing a $500 men’s King Fedora hat. Another member of our group pointed out that a man in the corner was wearing the same hat, to which the doorman replied that the individual was the singer and that no hats were allowed. He did not greet us and instead approached us aggressively. My companion promptly removed his hat. We then proceeded outside to a table where we were not attended to, despite being clearly visible. I went to the bar to request a manager and spoke with Danielle Dorsch, the Food and Beverage Manager. I inquired about the hat policy, and she informed me that only ball caps were prohibited. I recounted our experience and noted that no one had offered assistance. I requested that she examine the hat. She apologized and confirmed that the hat was acceptable and could be worn. Although she offered complimentary drinks, we declined, as we were not seeking anything for free; we simply wished to enjoy our evening. It appeared that we were subjected to immediate discrimination upon our arrival. It is also worth mentioning that the only Black individual in our group was the only Black person present in the club. While the Food and Beverage Manager was very apologetic, the behavior exhibited by your security personnel was entirely unwarranted. We will not be returning and will advise others to do the same. It is regrettable that Como Social Club has allowed such discriminatory actions to

My friends and I went there to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, the service we received was subpar. The food was not very good and for the price it was not worth it. Definitely not going back.

I’m An African American male & tonight was my first time in my entire life being racially profiled. As soon as I walked in Como Social Club with my girlfriend & sister we where approached immediately & very aggressively by a security guy named Roberto & was told that the Como Social Club had a no hat policy so I removed my Fedora Keith James Hat with no problem at all! But my girlfriend had observed a male inside that was not African American wearing a Fedora hat as well so she asked Roberto why does that guy get to wear a hat. He stated that the other guy was a singer so he’s allowed to wear a Fedora hat but not customers. So as we proceeded to have a seat,no one approached our table so my sister went to find management & asked her about the no hat policy which she stated that they do have a policy for no ball caps which was understandable completely but I was wearing a Fedora hat. We where offered free drinks from the manager Danielle, but at that point, our whole mood had changed & we where ready to leave the establishment without even ordering anything. We didn’t want anything free after Como Social Club showed racism towards me!

Yelp
While out at dinner at Landry's we decided to search for a club close to continue our night. This place popped up and we decided to try it. It was a 2 minute drive. When we arrived we sat downstairs until a waitress let us know they had closed but upstairs was open. The winding staircase is very nice. The upstairs bar area is chic with a large TV, outside patio area and dance floor with live music. Our server came over quickly and was very attentive. I ordered a cosmopolitan and my husband wanted a glass of Riesling but they didn't carry it. He ordered a glass of Pino Grigio instead. The crowd was entraining there was a guy with a cowboy hat on dancing half the time. The music was great too. We enjoyed the vibe and definitely will be back.

Yelp
Server couldn't get the 2 drink order right ; the bartender had to come over and ask what we wanted. I asked to pay with cash, rather than a card. She said ok and brought over the bill. But she didn't take the cash, and later said she needed to get a card to keep on file. We also had ordered a pizza at the same time, but waited for quite awhile until the bartender came over and asked if we had ordered any food. After awhile the small pepperoni pizza was delivered. The server checked with us as we were still drinking our drinks. As the night wore on and my guest was out of a drink, the hostess had to come over and ask if we wanted another drink. We ordered one. We were there 3 hours talking, and I called the server over to close out my bill. I waited half an hour and went up to the bar and asked the server for my bill. She said she had forgotten about me, and added up the total charges on my card she had on file. I told her that I had said I wanted to pay cash, but I let it go. This was definitely some of the worst service I have ever received. Oh, and the pizza wasn't very good. I realize this is a hotel bar and lounge ( the prices reflect it), but not a good place for seniors to enjoy an evening who came to dance and enjoy a few drinks.

Yelp
Cute bar inside the Westin on the second floor. It's adjacent to the pool and has a nice balcony area. It got quite crowded with several events (live music, a birthday, wedding group), but the service was amazing! Even if there being a line to order at the bar, the cocktail waitresses were still coming around pretty regularly. Has a nice view of the area, and we were lucky for a cool breeze.

Johnny T.

Yelp
Not a bad place. Visited on a Saturday night. Wasn't crowded at all. Good live music. Biggest complaint was overpriced drinks which considering the area is expected however I ordered same drink and from 2 different bartenders about 15 min apart and they came in different glasses and one was $3 more than the other. Inconsistent bartenders is a no go back for me.

Juan R.

Yelp
The ambiance was perfect. The performers were very very good. Staff was very friendly.

Kiev M.

Yelp
The perfect place to allow happiness to envelop you! Drinks are perfect and the bartenders, especially Andrew, with that wittiness, are amazing! The music, though loud, was perfect. The DJ's ability to transition songs with such accurate rhythm was phenomenal!
google avatar

Jacob P.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place has all the mediocre reviews. In my opinion, this is a great place to come and get above average cocktails and listen to live music. In that aspect, I love it. The performers are always great whenever I come. It can get a little crowded on certain nights, so be aware that you might not get a seat. If you and your partner want to grab drinks and listen to some live music in the Woodlands, this is a great spot for that. I usually don't end my nights here, but it is a great pregame or a vibe for a couple who doesn't plan to be out late.

Yelp
We went February 12, 2019. The service was great but the drinks were OK-I wish they can add more of a uniqueness to their drinks. it does fill up quite nicely and if you can find a seat on the balcony it is highly recommended. I wish they would add fans outside especially with this Texas heat and add some excellent appetizers-that would bring in great business!

Ramon R.

Yelp
Andruw was the best bartender tonight!!! Five star for him!!!. He did very goo!!! The club we love it!!!

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere thursday nights are latin night and between great live music and fantastic cocktails makes your night a perfection!

Tony F.

Yelp
Wish this place could have been a regular spot. However, the lack of care and even communication shows its not important what clients appreciate or even are concerned about. Really no need to visit this place. Sad because the music was really nice.

Lucas W.

Yelp
Made a stop here finally after much urging from friends to try out somewhere besides the regular spots (Gooses Acre and Baker St.) The bartenders are SLOW and I've never had a non shaken mixed shot before, it was terrible. If u order a green tea, star fucker, Vegas bomb, etc it should be cold and shaken, and u shouldn't have to ask. Cheaper, and better service a few doors down in my opinion. Won't be back.

Yelp
Just went there for the live music and to dance. Small/ none existing dance floor. He craziest thing was there was a NEW BORN BABY, had to have been 3 months or less, with someone standing by the bar and then hanging out by the performers. Madness, I questioned why I didn't call child services myself.

Yelp
Fancy spot with some live music ! Was good spot in the hotel ! I forgot my ID so we got denied and was not able to get drink ! The bartender was rude after that and we just had water ! But at least the music was average !

Michael C.

Yelp
Sad to see this place in decline. Drinks are still good. Music is good. Bartenders/wait staff is nice but the whole atmosphere has declined. The outdoor seating area sucks and you sit under way too bright lighting. This was a great place in the beginning but not anymore. Great for a drink or two but then go off to some place better. Really, though, I don't recommend it. It should be THE place in the area but it isn't.

Nelly M.

Yelp
Unfortunately very disappointed with this place. We came for happy hour and requested two Pinot Noir glasses of wine and first time ever that we get wine served in plastic cup. I asked if we could get a real glass and the bartender said "sorry we are only serving in plastic today". Are you serious??? I expected much better out of this new venue. Specially if you want to compete with all the other venues around the Waterway.

Yelp
I took my wife for a night cap for her Birthday this past weekend. While the club itself was very nice this is the second time we've been there the location is ideal we've been residents here in the Woodlands for over 20 years. However the service is a little bit more to be desired for. We ordered a drink at the bar I asked one of the bartenders if they had a house red that they would recommend. Regan, the bar tender, showed me and my wife A bottle of wine, and replied to us that this was "the cheapest bottle wine they had" this kind of took me by surprise as we were not looking for cheap we were just asking if they recommended a house red. His response to us seemed a little charged, my wife even heard and asked me what he was implicating. I found a pretty insulting I didn't say anything until after we left I did not want to ruin what little time my wife and I had for a nightcap. However on the way out I did speak with one of the bar managers and told her about my grievance. There was no apology there was no, i'm sure there was a misunderstanding. The only thing she said was I'm sure he didn't mean it. To boot I even tipped them know thanks for your business no see you next time again no apology. With the right personnel in place this bar will thrive, until then I'll take my "cheap" Business somewhere else

Christina M.

Yelp
Checked out the new social club and absolutely loved the vibe. It was a pretty quiet since the weather was chilly but the bartender Murphy did a great job suggesting cocktails. We tried several different options, the daiquiri was amazing! I'll definitely go back!

Savage L.

Yelp
Before the new hospitality company took over it was my favorite place to spend the night at the Westin and hang out. They ran off great local favorites in their management and brought in incompetent morons who have no clue. 2 weeks in a row they were supposed to be closed for private parties but opened it up to the public without being properly staffed for a regular night. One of the nights they had a private party that someone paid for an idiot posted on Como's Instagram come join us when someone already booked a private party. I spent more time there and more money than anyone and they had no idea who I was or how often I had been coming there because the new staff is too busy running their mouths to one another in the restaurant to serve people. That's at Sorrisos. Sat at the bar several minutes 2 managers and a bartender talking amongst each other as I sat with no service for several minutes. I finally got up to leave and he asks as I'm walking away with a manager right there if I wanted anything only after he saw me start to get up to leave. I just left. Came back to check out Como the same night after a movie and a huge crowd understaffed and your trash replacement managers are all down strairs playing grab ass while the staff upstairs was overwhelmed because someone booked a "private party" that they opened to the public. Ingrid, Taylor, Murphy, and Tiffany between the restaurant and club upstairs never sat around and made anyone wait. In a a matter of weeks y'all ran off me and anyone I would bring with me by having not regard for existing clientele. I'll just go to Mastros where several of the good people you had went to work. Sure it's more expensive but going out is as much about the staff as it is the food etc when you ran off good people for terrible service.

Sammy A.

Yelp
Thought I should check out Como since the town is opening up. I was shocked of how this place was. Bartenders and servers not wearing masks and gloves during service. I see a older man which I think is the manager, walking up and hugging and kissing the staff on the cheek. So much for social distancing. Not sure if I want to come back.
