"Another standout Korean fried chicken joint, Comon offers half and whole orders of fried chicken with a variety of flavour options and toppings, plus a number of other apps, sides and Korean staples at two locations in Verdun and Monkland Village." - Holly Tousignant, Eater Staff, JP Karwacki

"The headliner at this popular neighbourhood spot is the fried chicken, whatever way you like it: plain, sweet and spicy, just spicy, draped in a soy-garlic sauce, or loaded with green onions. It also dishes up a lovely selection of standard Korean dishes." - Kaitlyn McInnis, Eater Staff

Cute little Korean place with delicious fried chicken! We had the chicken combo and a kimchi pancake which was fire. Only minus points are the bathroom was a little dirty and the food is kinda expensive imo. Would still recommend!

The chicken was sooo good, we ordered chicken (original and sweet and spicy sauce), matched it with corn cheese (you have to try it) and soup with fish cakes I believe. Definitely coming back to try more ✨

Our favourite Korean place we’ve tried in Montreal. From beginning to end we had a great experience. The bangchan was very flavourful (they make phenomenal kimchi). Then the tteokbokki which was incredible! The sauce was so full bodied, you could taste the vegetables in it which was a first for me. Rice cakes were cooked to perfection and their fish cakes taste great. The kimchijeon was the showstopper for us and is the best we’ve tried in Montreal. Highly recommend. The fried chicken was also excellent. Overall I appreciated that the fried food was not too greasy like other places. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!!

Fried chicken is fantastic. Juicy inside and crispy outside. The sauce are also really good. Recommend the soya garlic one. Both spicy ones are not spicy, and both of them are sweet spicy. Service is soso. Last time I went the staff were just chatting at a table beside us and never came fill water or ask if the food was okay.

The three times I've been to Comon for dinner, I really enjoyed the food. My favourite dishes are the seafood pajeon and, the soy sauce and garlic fried chicken. They're both crispy and so full of flavour. I will definitely and happily return here in the future.

Best fried chicken in town. The chicken stays crispy throughout the entire meal and the sauces are seasonned just right. The sweet and spicy chicken is not really spicy at all, but still very delicious. The basic soy sauce and garlic is just perfect. Try it for yourself! They provide small side dishes that are very well marinated and pairs well with the chicken. The portion for the japchae is very generous, we had to bring it home. This is run by a korean family and I have been clients of them for years, and the quality has never lessened. This is authentic korean food. I highly recommend.

The food and atmosphere were excellent. The service was unfortunately all over the place. It seemed to me like the staff was either inexperienced or unprepared for a full resto. There is also the possibility that they were/are understaffed, though the whole place only has about 15 tables. That said, would definitely come back! Really enjoy the food!
