The Best Restaurants and Bars in Verdun | Eater Montreal

"The headliner at this popular neighbourhood spot is the fried chicken, whatever way you like it: plain, sweet and spicy, just spicy, draped in a soy-garlic sauce, or loaded with green onions. It also dishes up a lovely selection of standard Korean dishes." - Eater Staff

Went on a Friday night, very quiet. The waitress did minimum effort to serve us and straight up put a large amount of tip herself on the machine when we paid. Fried chicken is decent, it’s super crispy. I brought the left over home and it was still crispy. Soy and garlic is not very saucy. If you like to dip your chicken in sauce I recommend green onion fried chicken. Other notes: -Rice cake is good and medium spicy. -5 small Rice roll cost 10$ very pricy. -The pitcher of beer came with some room temperature glass.

For about 25$, you get to enjoy some flavourful Korran fried chicken which was quite tasty. I really enjoyed how the chicken was still tender and juicy which isn't the case in a lot of other restaurants. I do however feel like the portions are a bit small. I don't know why but I was expecting the food to be served with rice and appetisers but there was none of that. The chicken was also not really crispy but that's a given since it was a delivery order. I would love to go eat at the restaurant and try their fried chicken served fresh, it would be so much better. The sauces were quite flavourful and balanced in flavours which was great. They paired so well with the fried chicken and the salad.

Amazing experience! I went here with my cousin and ordered a plate of rice cakes along with the crispy rice cakes and fried chicken. All of the foods above tasted phenomenal and we’re above our expectations! Absolutely recommend eating here. P.S: The atmosphere was great and the waitress was amazing.

Fried chicken is fantastic. Juicy inside and crispy outside. The sauce are also really good. Recommend the soya garlic one. Both spicy ones are not spicy, and both of them are sweet spicy. Service is soso. Last time I went the staff were just chatting at a table beside us and never came fill water or ask if the food was okay.

Best fried chicken in town. The chicken stays crispy throughout the entire meal and the sauces are seasonned just right. The sweet and spicy chicken is not really spicy at all, but still very delicious. The basic soy sauce and garlic is just perfect. Try it for yourself! They provide small side dishes that are very well marinated and pairs well with the chicken. The portion for the japchae is very generous, we had to bring it home. This is run by a korean family and I have been clients of them for years, and the quality has never lessened. This is authentic korean food. I highly recommend.

Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had. Very crispy on the outside and extremely juicy in the inside. Staff is very friendly. Food came out very quick after ordering.

Loved this place! Nice cozy spot. Food was amazing. The fried chicken with their spicy sauce was so good. Also really liked the rice cakes with cheese. We also had the Kimchi fried rice and a bibimbap. Will definitely go back.

Our favourite Korean place we’ve tried in Montreal. From beginning to end we had a great experience. The bangchan was very flavourful (they make phenomenal kimchi). Then the tteokbokki which was incredible! The sauce was so full bodied, you could taste the vegetables in it which was a first for me. Rice cakes were cooked to perfection and their fish cakes taste great. The kimchijeon was the showstopper for us and is the best we’ve tried in Montreal. Highly recommend. The fried chicken was also excellent. Overall I appreciated that the fried food was not too greasy like other places. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!!
