"While Compass has several locations in the Portland-Vancouver area, the main location and roastery is located in NE Vancouver. Here, one will find a wide variety of light to dark roast coffees from all over the world, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Mexico, and Sumatra. And one must not forget the refreshing cold brew lemonade and iced americanos with sweet and salty cream." - Seiji Nanbu

Coffee shop review: Overall I give compass is 8/10, I tried every coffee shop in Vancouver, Wa and give a honest review for many who are traveling. I have been to this shop since 2018, even been to their other location in St John & Portland (pdx location no longer available ). Compass coffee has by far the best tasty coffee/ espressos/matcha and makes the most perfect art on top of your drink. I wanna say the coffee shop itself has been growing, it’s become a busy place where many go to study and having good time with friends. Many years ago it was such a small local coffee shop and as the years are passing by they are getting more customers day by day . I’m happy to know that they are doing amazing, I do say the space is starting to become too small and there are less barista to beat the crowds coming in. I would recommend them getting a third location or even so expanding their shop to fit more people and consider hiring more baristas to help the many orders. I say if you new to town or visiting for a while, this shop is amazing and highly recommend but know Sundays are super busy and afternoon are too. You are lucky if get there during a slow times but it’s more of a luck if you find a good table or seat when it’s always packed.

Best coffee in Vancouver! ☕ Compass nails espresso & matcha with perfect latte art. 😍 Busy vibe, great for meetings, but Sundays are packed. Space feels small—needs more staff & a bigger spot. 8/10, a must-visit! 🌟

I had an incredible experience here! The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially as I was choosing between so many good options. The bacon cheddar jalapeño croissant was absolutely delicious, and my chai was fantastic. They make their drink flavorings in-house, and I tried the one with honey, vanilla, and paprika--it had such a delightful kick of flavor. This spot is perfect for relaxing and soaking up life. If you're downtown, it's a must-visit.

So this is the place downtown where the masters of the universe actually do meet! Where deals are made and meetings held and great poets dip their metaphorical pens in metaphorical ink! The Chai was piping hot and delicious, the place was full, but not too loud and we felt no pressure to rush our nefarious meeting. The place felt alive and relaxed. The thing about Compass is, they take their coffee seriously and because of that, a lot of the other stuff falls into place. They don’t have to act hip, being good at something confers hipness like sunrise confers morning. While I was having my business meeting at Compass, while I was growing within the community, I could look around and see meetings and friends, students and workers, I could see a vibrant section of the community that had found a home smack in the middle of downtown Vancouver. I’ll probably start having more meetings there myself as well.

Cool coffee shop with a large menu of teas ans coffee plus bakery treats. Cutely decorated for holiday season; this place is quite busy.. you’ll have to be in line for 5-7 min but the service is fast. Staff is courteous. Indoor seating only. We tried caramel latte and spiced chai latte, and liked both. They have non-caffeinated drinks too.

I was in town for one day so this was along my walk. There’s plenty of seating inside and outside the cafe. The service was friendly and fast. I was handed a latte with beautiful art and a smooth, robust flavor. I sat outside to soak up the day and reset. Great business.
