Such a cute and cozy little coffee shop . Received excellent customer service from Natalie colleague . They have so many delicious options to choose from . Will definitely be returning.

After living in DC for many years, Compass has the best cold brew in the city! Service is consistent and the coffee always tastes consistent. Would recommend the red eye as well if you want a true caffeine boost.

Nothing exceptional. Just convenient. Not comfortable. Music often too loud and terrible and rude service. Many tables are wobbly and reporting it doesn’t help, they don’t fix it. So, be prepared to spill your coffee all around and have everything sticky. No specific spot to put your dirty dishes. Better options nearby.

Matcha latte was excellent. The staff their was very supportive and kind. They got to get more credit! The sandwich was pretty dry and Compass can work on the flavor of the sandwiches.

Quality has noticeably gone down the tubes in the last couple of months. Today was the worst. My partner and I literally had to just throw our coffees out when we took sips after we left. I haven't met a coffee that was totally undrinkable in a long time, but Compass did it.

We didn't get food, just grabbed a cup of coffee while we waited for some print materials across the street. Cozy place. Server was nice.

Google
It was $6.20 for a decaf latte. I know inflationn and everything but why is coffee so overpriced! They also sell lots of overpriced food, snacks, and coffee beans. It's a medium sized space. I wish they'd have water out so you can grab a glass without going to ask,

Rare that you get a cafe staff with such enthusiasm and kindness! Shoutout Kelly. Saturday, Nov 1st at noon. 1 star for the management union busting.

Yelp
Had to see what all the hype was about in regard to the Cherry Blossom latte and I must say I am now very much a fan. The barista was super friendly and complimented me on my "running on iced coffee and anxiety" sweatshirt. I also love that you can get Nespresso pods of their coffee so I can make some Compass right at home. Their wifi is also fast and the store has plenty of seating which makes for a great place to work.

Yelp
Can never say no to Compass -- it's a DC classic for a reason! Compass has fueled me through many a final exam and work meeting, so I was super excited when they opened their latest location in the heart of Adam's Morgan! Compass's coffee always hits; I usually opt for a classic latte (with almond milk) or americano, and I love the not-too-bitter, not-too-acidic, yet rich flavor the beans have. They also have a bunch of fun flavored drinks that I have yet to try, but I've heard nothing but rave reviews! This location also seems to have a wider / better stocked selection of pastries than most of the other spots I've been to around the city. This Compass's vibes are also top-tier (as every Compass is). There's ample seating, a ton of natural light, and the staff is all super friendly! It's a great place to hang out and chill, or to hole up with a laptop or book.

Yelp
I may have forgot to take a photo of my delicious almond butter latte but i didnt forget to come and write this review about the 5 star experience today I had at compass adams morgan, this space has seen a many a business's here and im glad it now is a compass coffee , the store was clean and orderly and the line was long none the less the cashier/ barista andrew was cool as a cucumber! greeting everyone in front of and behind me with warmth and a smile perfect for this cold december day! and of course then the computers/system decided to take a break which did put a brake in the flow but andrew made it work! and everyone still got to be helped! I see so many situations like this as a coffee fan and a variety of reactions and responses to unplanned service interruptions and i can say by far andrew was one of the best in keeping it cool and keeping the business moving! great job !!

Yelp
I tried Compass Coffee after the Starbucks in Adams Morgan closed its doors. Anyhoo, I realized I have been missing out on a local gem. I had a real Macchiato and it was absolutely delicious and it was potent. I can't wait to have another one! Although my order was carry out, Compass coffee is nice and bright, clean with great seating.

Yelp
Dear Compass Coffee Management, I'm writing to express my concern regarding the service I've repeatedly received from an employee named Katie at your store. About a month ago, I visited the store to order a latte. When I received it, the temperature was lukewarm. I politely returned to the counter and asked if it could be remade hotter. Unfortunately, Katie responded with an unprofessional attitude. Since then, I've chosen to be served by other team members, who have been much more courteous. Today, I returned to the store and noticed my drink was on the counter. I asked if all my espresso shots had been included--it turned out they had not. Instead of remaking the drink, Katie poured only half a shot on top. I calmly requested to explain the issue first, as I noticed the drink still wasn't made correctly. I asked if it could be remade properly and requested the extra shot be served on the side. Katie again responded in a disrespectful manner and slammed my cup down on the counter for the second time. I found this behavior unprofessional and unacceptable. As a long-time and loyal customer--long before Katie worked here--I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Frankly, interactions like these make me hesitant to continue visiting this location. I've never had issues with any other staff members, and I've always appreciated the friendly service--especially from past employees like Liz, who consistently provided excellent customer care. I hope this matter can be addressed appropriately. Thank you for your time and attention. Sincerely, Mercy Rajah

Yelp
Although I haven't been in coffee shops in DC for a long time (or what feels like it), I did find a new one--according to the barista, this one opened just two months ago. It does have a rather just-moved-in feel. Even if it is fully decked out, it somehow feels a bit empty, like a spot that people haven't yet discovered and is thus not yet much frequented--despite being perfectly perched in the north tip of commercial Adams Morgan. One more thing on the ambience, I find the music a tad too loud. But: give it up to the gorgeously large windows, into which the beautiful autumn light and sun is flooding in. Their cappuccino is quite delicious, but a bit on the lite/soft side. The maple scone is ok texture-wise, but too sweet--and that was the least sweet (non-savoury) pastry they had, they told me. But overall, I give it a 5 star, because the objections are minor :-)

Yelp
Their coffee is always yummy and the baristas are great! Waiting to hear the outcome of their case with the NLRB and hoping management will [finally] choose to recognize the union. If not, I won't be coming anymore. Also, this place is much more empty than I would expect for an AdMo coffee shop with lots of good indoor and outdoor seating; guarantee it has to do with not recognizing the union (have talked to several friends in the neighborhood who won't even walk in the door because of it...). Here's hoping they make the right choice!
