The 26 Best Restaurants In Paris - Paris - The Infatuation

"Two mixology stars from Little Red Door have created something new for Paris: a hybrid tasting counter-bar based around ingredients and decor from French producers—even the washable wool coasters are artisanal French. Only the comptoir is open (the subterranean cocktail bar is expected to open this summer), and it shines. You can book a five-step seasonal drinks tasting that includes bar snacks and lasts 90 minutes, but the more interesting option is to go for the six-course discovery menu and add cocktails to get a full picture of how knockout and creative the pairings are. Depending on the season, you may throw back a raw oyster in black pepper oil, topped with kiwi granita, paired with an apple Sgroppino, or seasonal asparagus arranged between aged Comté in a savory tart, served with a hay soda, grass spirit, and yuzu saké cocktail—all from one of twelve seats at a massive blue-green enamel counter." - sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta

Google
Waiter was friendly but service in general was extremely slow. Ordered the steak and fries, WRONG decision! One of the worst steaks I’ve had, extremely fatty and couldn’t even cut through it. No money off even though we couldn’t eat them, would not recommend.

Google
Creme brûlée was really good! Nice refreshing beer, staff wasn’t very attentive as we asked for water but didn’t get any

Google
The worst staff. Very rude because we didn’t like the food (disgusting is an understatement). The waitress said it wasn’t her problem that we didn’t like it and the waiter was making racist remarks about us.

Food and wine was great. And the service was very nice, they did listen to you and actually care.

Google
Excellent food, price and service! Mike, the waiter, was very nice and welcoming, thank you! I had the duck with ratatouille, which was delicious. My husband had the Jigsaw burger, super juicy with the brie cheese😍 I highly recommend it! :)

The Keith-Donovan Experience

Google
Can’t really give this place a fair assessment being that we weren’t there no longer than 20 minutes. We had a a glass of wine and a cigarette to be in theme. Nothing super special or fancy about this place. We were lost and it became the nearest places to lunch. Our food was decent. Waitstaff were friendly.

Google
Nice little place to stop off for quick bite to eat, the staff were really friendly and even had a few recommendations of places to check out while in Paris. I was brave and tried the snails.... Not for me but the French people I passed them onto said they were nice (as far as snails go!)

Had a great tasting burger at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly. Perfect spot to eat and people watch in the afternoon.

Yelp
NYE in Paris and you have to pretty nuch have reservations for dinner prime time. The host was kind enough to seat a family of five w snall kids in tow to have dinner and the meals didn't disappoint. My kids enjoyed their croque monsieur with fries and I with my ribeye steak and fries- it as juicy and cooked just the perfect medium. Added bonus was a DJ playing fun disco music- a perfect pre NY Day celebration w the kids. One major con is the bathroom- please be mindful and check often ensure it is clean- there was urine on the floor and trash overflowing:.

Yelp
Aloha, if you're looking for a burger & beer, just about any corner in Paris will suffice. This corner is great for people watching as lots of activities pass by. We actually got our burger to go, had it back at our apartment with cold beer. The burger and fries were good, the onion rings were meh. Still a solid burger with cheese & bacon on a nice bun. Enjoy!

Yelp
Corner cafe on the busy Rue Des Archives in the Marais area of Paris. It's very busy for most of the day and a good spot for people watching if you don't mind a bit of traffic (but then, this is Paris). The clientele is mixed gay/straight - some of the nearby cafes are more predominantly gay, so take your pick. They do breakfasts for €8 (beverage, fruit juice, croissant, & bread and jam), light lunches and snacks, as well as desserts and a brunch at €18. Reasonably fast waiter service. At off-peak times their WiFi is excellent (but they switch it off when it's really busy).

Yelp
I can only speak for the view, the wine, and the free popcorn, which is actually good. Similar to kettle corn the service is attentive and nice and the view and people watching is pretty good.

Yelp
Drink Review Only: We stopped here with a group of ten after walking around the area and had a really nice time. The staff speak English just fine, but had a really fun time joking around with us when they realized that some of us spoke French and they could communicate with us privately. That sounds slightly snotty, but seriously, I laughed my head off a couple of times. Our waiter would walk by and tell us a joke and run off. Or tease our English only companions about drinking more French beer to absorb the language faster. It really was a blast. I was sad when it was time to leave.

Yelp
Stopped for a glass of wine, I ordered the 25cl portion, they served me the 14cl portion and tried to tell me the glass was bigger on the inside and I did not understand the measurement. They are just outright stealing from people. Stay far far away from this place.

Yelp
Comptoir des Archives was a good find. The service was very friendly and helpful. we were all given a free glass of champagne on arrival, but that may have been because it was Valentines Day. The menu was a pretty standard French menu with salmon, steak, burgers and salads. I had the ribeye steak with pepper sauce which was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and seemed to be very much a locals restaurant. There were a few gay locals, being in the centre of the Marais but also a few gay tourists like us.

Yelp
My husbaInd and I made a quick stop at Comptoir des Archives for coffee. They have a set menu with coffee or tea and a dessert for 9 euros. I had a hot milk with caramel and crepe. They were okay, nothing special. They do have English menu, which was helpful and the bartender/owner?? spoke very good English. He was very nice and attentive.

Yelp
I find it really funny that the reviews in English are pretty much all enthusiastic, whereas the reviews in French are mainly 1 or 2 stars...I don't know what that says about us (especially as I can't read French), but I am conforming to my language's predisposition and have to say I was a fan! Not much to say other than the entrecote I had was thick and delicious. I wasn't sure about the bearnaise, but my boyfriend enjoyed it. Good value too - cheaper than most of the boards we had looked at on the walk, which was a deciding factor for us.

Yelp
Food is poor at best, everything was served separately, and the waiters were incredibly rude. A friend ordered a bagel, was served a club sandwich, and they didn't even excuse themselves. Don't do it!!

Yelp
Let me start by saying it's really hard to find a breakfast spot in Le Marais! Turns out, most Parisians don't eat le petit dejeuner and most vacationers get breakfast in their hotel. We were hungry for eggs and espresso and this spot hit the mark. The "petit dejeuner complet" was big enough for two: coffee (or tea), juice, croissant, bread, and an omlet. Delish! The plat aux oeufs (fried eggs) was also good sized and tasty. Service was decent for French standards. Overall - a good spot.

Yelp
Ambiance amicable ! Service impeccable ! Repas copieux ! Gout delicieux ! Prix hyper juste ! This is our favorite bistro in Paris. It's simple, casual, well-priced, and the food is delicious. Even with a bistro on every corner, it's hard to find such a solid bistro in Paris. This is a guarantee for a great meal at a terrific price. Poulet roti - 11€. Confit de Canard - 11€. Vin à verre - 5€. And, it's in the Marais ! On occasion, we travel all the way from the 17eme for this great find. Try it. You'll be happy.

Yelp
This is a great neighborhood brasserie. We were just in paris with our two kids (13 and 10) and my wife and I came here a few times for a late afternoon carafe of wine. We enjoyed the very friendly staff and the general ambience. What really sold us, though, was how accommodating the staff was with our son's food allergies (dairy and peanuts). A number of restaurants we went to were not at all interested in trying to figure our how to get something other than plain pasta for the poor kid. At Comptoir des Archives, however, the waitress and restaurant manager both came to our table and discussed some possibilities and we ended up having a really nice family dinner at which everyone--including my son--got to eat something they liked. And the food was pretty good too!

Yelp
This is a great neighborhood place. Their quiches are fantastic, the croque monsieur wonderful, and their roasted chicken moist and flavorful. Buttery mashed potatoes! Nice wait staff and intimate surroundings. Much better than its competition across the street.

Yelp
We came here pretty early (just before 10am) and were the 2nd group of customers. All of us ordered the breakfast set: omelette with ham and cheese, croissant, french bread, orange juice and a coffee - all very good! Will definitely recommend coming here for an enjoyable breakfast in Paris.

Yelp
Excellent service...roasted potatoes to die for and great prices! I had a Ribeye steak with two sides for 12 euros.

Yelp
Dining on impulse can be fun and occasionally, you're lucky enough to stumble across a small gem. Such is Comptoir des Archives, where it sits on a sunny corner in the heart of Le Marais (4th). It's accessibly chic in aesthetics and intimate in the mere fact that the quaint outdoor seating gives you just enough wiggle room. The vibe today is all local and fairly friendly with subtle smiles and nods. My server is a vivacious individual who happens to be from the homeland (Portugal), so we banter back and forth in Portuguese. I always like to balance out my meals so I start off with a green Ginger smoothie. It's fresh, intense, and energizing. My Confit de Canard arrives and it's perfect. The duck is tender and fatty, the roast potatoes are scrumptious, and the salad is crisp and dressed diligently. My favorite dessert is on the menu and you bet I ordered it. In somewhat of an alternate take on Tarte Tatin, they've topped it with high quality vanilla ice-cream. No complaints from me as I savour every bite of warm flakey, tender apples, gooey caramel, and melting ice-cream. I love it so much, I want to order another but I restrain myself for fear that the locals might think me a gauche tourist who has never seen Tarte Tatin in his life! The portions here are hefty, delicious, and worth every Euro at 22 euro for the entire meal.

Yelp
The absolute worst club sandwich I ever ate in my life. Yuk! bad tomatoes, withered salad, canned chicken. And I was not the only one. My friend with whom I visited the place had exactly the same experience. And cheap they are not! Horrible lunching experience. One of these places that give Paris a bad name. I told them too. Staff is friendly though.
