I tried the lavender latte, and it was absolutely delightful! The rich coffee paired perfectly with the subtle floral notes, making for a truly enjoyable drink. Not only was the latte fantastic, but the service was also top-notch. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Nice little coffee joint with fast and friendly service. I tried their capacinno, and it is among the best I had. Place is tiny, so it is hard to find a place to sit inside. They have some limited seating outside, which is also always occupied. Overall, it's a good spot to sit and soak up san francisco vibes! Place has one restroom, but usually, there is a line during rush hour.

One of my literal favorite cafes in SF!! Such a friendly vibe + cute atmosphere (been to both locations). They charge +0.75 for non dairy milk (BOOO) but the coffee is good and the baristas are so friendly! love this place and will be a repeat customer

Fantastic coffee and pastries! It’s not always easy to find good vegan dessert options but I loved the vegan zucchini chocolate bread. It was just the right amount of sweetness! The drip coffee was also really good! Will be back to try other desserts and lattes. The space inside is cute as well

I love coffee, I think most shops in SF have a set standard that they’re pretty good at adhering to. I unfortunately had a bad experience, the service was great but I ordered an iced latte in my own cup and what I was given was potentially accidentally steamed milk that was then thrown into my iced latte. It was soy milk and was a warm goopy texture. I’ve worked in coffee for 10 years, I ran Fellows storefront for 2 years so I have a good grasp on what to expect when ordering coffee. It did not taste good and was surprised someone could make a careless mistake and be okay with serving it. I think it’s a cute shop and I’ve gotten a good single origin shot from here before but I think I’m good after this experience.

Latte was great, the vegan bread I got was also good. There are a handful of seats indoors and also some seats outside. On a Saturday morning indoors was quite crowded, and it was definitely "wait 10+ minutes for a drink" not "grab and dash", but it's a weekend, all good. This isn't my neighborhood but I would drop by again next time I'm up Fillmore and looking for a coffee.

Ordered two vanilla lattes, half sweet for my best friend and I during a walk in town. We both agreed that the coffees were impeccable. So delicious. Made with love by friendly staff also, two of the cutest ladies with gorgeous tattoo work who just looked happy to be there and made beautiful art in the lattes. I noticed this place uses "Variety" brand coffee. It inspired me to order some online.

Very yummy coffee I got the maple cinnamon latte I've been to most coffee shops and asked for one shot of decaf and they look confused but the person was super sweet about it made me my exact coffee

Stopped by Compton's for a quick pick-me-up and ordered the raspberry matcha which was a unique flavor that worked so well together and was just the right amount of sweetness. Great coffee and quick service. The place was packed with people working or catching up so I'm glad I got it to go. Parking is tough (as with most SF businesses) and SFMTA pulled up quick on a Monday at 2pm so be careful!

Went ~ 11 am weekday Got: Maple Cinnamon Latte w/ Oat Milk (light cinnamon and light ice) and a Raspberry Matcha Latte Both are part of their seasonal menu and honestly surprised by both of them. It's hard to please me with matcha, like I think you can taste quality in the powder. But the raspberry added a very refreshing aspect to the latte and just felt like it was something a little different than other cafes. The Maple Cinnamon Latte had the perfect amount of sweetness you'd want in ur coffee and even though I know I got light cinnamon you could still taste it.

Cramped interior but great coffee! Menu is simple which cues into quality, no-funny-business coffee. Some outdoor seating, and they have whole dollar pricing, which was oddly satisfying.... Ha!

A great coffee place in Pac Heights! I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed! The location is quite central to the whole street of restaurants and shopping. I tried the seasonal maple latte and WOW it was great!! I absolutely loved it. It was sweet, heavy on the coffee, and perfect for those days between summer and fall. It was actually quite good and I would definitely go back again for it. I also tried the bacon scone, but wasn't as big of a fan. There was a lack of flavor and complexity in the pastry, so I might try a sweet item next time. The set up is pretty typical to a coffee place and they have free wifi. I didn't see any charging points, which is a big issue if trying to sit and get some work done. The decor is light and bright, and the couple tables outdoor have a really nice vibe. Overall, I was pretty pleased with Compton's and would recommend!

One of my favorite coffee shops in the city! The coffee is so good! I've gotten their lattes and cappuccinos to stay, great place for people watching or chatting with a friend. It's not quiet enough for reading/working for me but I've seen it done there. They also have outdoor seating right in front of the coffee shop. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I love coming here!

Beautiful but small space to work, overall great vibes and drinks! Baristas were friendly. Good for working mostly, wifi is free. I tried the cardamom rose tea latte and wish it had just a bit more cardamom!

Got super hyped up on tiktok and I was in the area so decided to check them out! Usually an ice latte girlie but it's been so cold outside I decided to try their maple latte. The drink was a bit sweet for me and the coffee flavor was lacking. The staff there is super friendly and it does get busy. They do have wifi and a bathroom but there is limited seating and I didn't see any outlets.

A cute cafe in lower Pac Heights! I've been here twice to do a little WFH. Their wifi is good but it does get loud for meetings. They have 1-1 round tables and then a row of solo seats. I got here around 10AM and they were packed with only 1 seat on the solo seats. I've gotten their seasonal Iced Raspberry Matcha Latte and a hot Maple Cinnamon Latte; both were kind of mid and the matcha flavor was pretty weak.

Walk along Fillmore, browsing in the shops and stop to treat yourself to a perfect cup of coffee. They have all the basics, and some great specialties. I tried the raspberry mocha and it was smooth, not too sweet, and perfectly hot. Service is friendly and they do offer good suggestions if you're not sure what you'd like to try. It is a small place, so take your coffee to go and wander around this great neighborhood. A few doors down you'll find one of the best bagel places around, to enjoy with your coffee.

Walked by and saw a huge line so decided to try it and unfortunately was pretty disappointed. I ordered the iced maple latte as part of their fall menu and the first taste strangely tasted like chicken curry? It also was not sweet so if you're looking for a latte on the sweeter side you'll need to ask for a bit more syrup.

coffee THE COFFEE IS AMAZING. I think this is the best coffee I've had in San Francisco thus far. My sister got a Maple Cinnamon Latte with oatmilk it tastes exactly like biting into a cinnamon bun with each sip except a liquid version of that cinnamon bun and I usually do not like sweet coffees, but this latte was unreal. It's the perfect sweet and chai flavor, I got a regular latte and it was incredibly smooth and just the perfect latte, comparable to coffee I've had in Italy. The lattes came with a heart design and a smiley face on the cup which honestly made a huge positive difference. atmosphere Cool people everywhere, perfect ambience to feel inspired by cool people as well as people who are working, perfect place to do work or read a book or journal. There are a few tables and a bench I think outside as well as a tables inside. I already wanted to come back there after I left. Even the workers looked cool. bathroom Nice clean bathroom just which there were paper towels instead of a dryer but I get its more environmentally friendly but I just find dryers gross. Anyways I can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu and do some work and people watch. You can tell they care about quality.

Fine selection of pastries, could have more gluten-free options. The coffee itself was delicious! I ordered the seasonal orange blossom cappuccino and it was tasty with a wonderful aroma. The service was good and the space was good for working.

This place has very yummy coffee!! I got the seasonal latte and it was good, very sweet which I'm not used to but it was very good! The place has a good amount of seating if you need to work or sit with a few friends. It's in a nice area as well

4.3 for drinks Bump it up to a 5 for the overall vibes and service! They serve a solid latte and americano. It's a cute and small cafe located in Fillmore. I visit on weekends, and it's typically busy, but somehow, I always manage to grab a seat. Considering how small the shop is, I'm always impressed by how many people can squeeze in to do work, read, or catch up with friends. If you're in the area and looking for good coffee, I'd recommend it.

Really friendly staff and the coffee is really pretty. It can get really crowded on a Saturday morning, so a bit hard to concentrate on reading. I Heard a few French songs on their play list, pretty enjoyable overall!

The coffee was pretty basic. They do not do dark roast, coffee, only medium, and light roast profile. There is no gluten-free pastries.

I've been here multiple times over years when visiting San Fran. A lot of locals frequent this place. Solid, consistently well-done coffee every time. Pastries/cookies also available. Small amount of indoor (but cozy) seating = 6 tables or so. Some outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Rest room & WiFi available for customers. There is a 6-electric outlet strip under the wooden bar area toward the back of the place. Plenty of shopping and restaurants (including Michelin starred) nearby. Walking distance to other spots of interest (Japan Town, etc). You can make a nice day trip/activity around this area as you walk up & down Fillmore St for shopping and then take a break with a good coffee/tea at Compton's. Friendly service and knowledgeable staff.

Absolutely loved my experience at Compton's Coffee House from the good vibes to the delicious lattes this spot hit all of the marks for me. I also really liked how this cafe had ample seating for me to enjoy my book and coffee in. I had the oat vanilla latte and it was 10/10. I loved the balance of espresso with a subtly sweet vanilla. I hear they're known for the lavender latte so that's next on my list. They also have a selection of pastries to choose from. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the area.

We were walking by and had to come in because it smelled so good as we approached!! I'm so glad we did! We ordered the iced maple cinnamon latte and the iced green tea Matcha latte. Our barista asked us if we'd like to try the raspberry green tea Matcha latte, one of their specialties, so we did. It was delicious. Both of our drinks came out quickly and were perfect. Staff were helpful and very friendly.

One of the kind and friendly baristas recommended the honey lavender latte, and it turned out to be the best I've ever had. The service was friendly and quick, and the café's small, cute atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for a coffee date with a friend or a productive session with your laptop.

A very nice coffee shop right in the heart of Fillmore Street! Bright and airy when you walk in, there is a row of seating along the right hand side while the order counter is straight ahead of you. The pickup counter is toward the back, as is the restroom. The past couple times I've visited, I would get the Matcha Latte. While these are DELICIOUS hot, next time I'm going to try asking for an iced one. ;-) The reason I docked a star is simply because Compton's is so popular there's not enough seating for groups of three or more. Otherwise, it's a great place to hang out!

The most charming place! Kind staff, good selection of pastries, even better selection of beverages, and well-designed layout for the small size. There's Wi-Fi, seasonal specials, and upbeat but not overly-loud music. I'm a fan

Great ambiance!! Around 6 small tables to use (each fit 1 laptop) and there's a long bar height counter you can work at as well (outlet bar underneath!) There is also limited seating outside. Free wifi and there is 1 all gender restroom.

Came in to try it out, especially because I'm from LA area and partial to Compton. I ordered the iced seasonal Latte drink that I believe included pumpkin, and made it a quad espresso. Also ordered the cinnamon twist pastry. The drink was super tasty and enjoyable. Lots of flavor without being too sweet. The pastry also delicious though wish it was a bit heavier on the cinnamon taste but this pastry wasn't baked there, it's from another bakery I believe. The staff were super friendly and the place was clean. Easily accessible restroom and I think they had wifi too.

i'm a huge fan of lavender lattes so was really excited when I found this small modern coffee shop on fillmore st. LOVED the milk foam and super creamy texture, but thought the lavender taste was a bit too overpowering and syrupy. they also have a small selection of pastries. apparently they don't make any of the baked goods in house, but instead get them from a bakery in oakland, so grabbed an apple sauce kouign amann to share. would probs come back again for coffee!

I didn't have any intention of getting coffee after lunch. I walked pass this place and decided I should walk back to get coffee because it smelled so good. This is a small shop with a few seats inside and outside. Menu is simple, no fancy overly sweet drinks. I got an Americano and it was good with strong coffee flavor.

a very cute and high quality spot! I got the touch of grey latte and my sister got the honey lavender latte. It was a great recommendation from the very kind barista; great service and really genuine and kind people:) It wasn't too sweet and the earl grey flavoring was perfect. I love london fogs but never really considered adding earl grey to an espresso latte, but let me tell you that you need to try this combo! this drink was probably my favorite specialty latte I've come across while traveling. very delish and unique! SF was experiencing great weather while I was there and this spot had nice seating to enjoy the sun and the breeze indoors. highly recommend as an oatmilk latte lover :)

Great little coffee shop we found on vacation! Just up the street from the best Goodwill in SF! Even topped my latte with a cute little heart! Great service!

I remember visiting Compton's when they first opened in 2020. Since then, I've been there many times and have always had a great experience! My go-to order from Compton's is the iced matcha latte, which is a nice blend of sweet and bitter flavors. The hot matcha latte is good too! For both drinks, I appreciate that they give you choice of whether or not you would like them sweetened. The coffee/tea at Compton's is great, but my favorite part of visiting is the atmosphere. As far as I know, this was the first Third Wave Coffee shop in the neighborhood, and has a much more community, small-business vibe than visiting a larger chain coffee shop. The staff is all very nice and I like they make the drinks in front of you too. Lastly, a note on the seating. Since Compton's is a small shop, there is not a ton of seating inside. This is usually ok, since they almost always seem to have available seating outside. Something to keep in mind though if you are planning on working from there!

Cute small coffee shop on Fillmore St. It seems like they have some outdoor seating which is great as the interior only has about 10 seats. Went in and got a small coffee and also a cinnamon morning bun. Coffee was good and while I tasted more of the sugar in the bun than cinnamon, it didn't make it any less delicious. Definitely a great place to drop by for caffeine if you're on the way to the shops on Fillmore St or heading down to Japantown. Service was good. The cashier charged me accidentally and immediately realized and refunded me.

This is a cute small coffee shop in the Fillmore district. They have your typical coffee menu and serve in cute cups if you choose to stay. The seating is very limited and there are no outlets to charge devices so come fully charged if you plan to work or study here. Definitely would not recommend coming in groups bigger than 3 as the seating is very limited and awkward if more than 2 people. They also have free WiFi.

When I asked my soy friend to get me an ice vanilla cinnamon cappuccino and this is what they gave him. Not full and no he didn't drink it he doesn't drink caffeine.

Stopped in for a quick cold brew and an Americano for my friend - fast and friendly baristas that didn't charge us an arm and a leg. I excitedly told my friend "I THINK WE FOUND THE CHEAPEST COFFEE IN SF!!"

We ordered two cortados, one regular caffeine and milk, the other decaf and oat milk. The decaf with oat milk especially tasted burnt, similar to burnt popcorn kernels. I had to add cinnamon powder, cocoa powder, and sugar to my coffee to down it. It is understandable why their cortados aren't on their popular menu list; most people in the establishment seemed to have ordered lattes. The only redeeming thing was the muffin that we bought.
