First time here, place is rustic modern, with good vibes, exibin Mexican most famous singers from the Golden era on the walls, and Mexican decorations,. Service is good and helpful, food is good with good portions, prices between $12.00 and $25.00 for meal, definitely a place to enjoy a good traditional modern meal, very please with this place

Food was pretty good. Our main server wasn't to attentive but the male server was. Good portion of food not over exaggerated portions like other mex restaurants. Will come back again

Google
What a great place, we flew in from Mexico & we felt like we didn't get enough Mexican food. So we came here & this place did not disappoint. We got chilaquiles, machaca and eggs, and huevos divorciados, and two cafe de hollas 😋 I got the huevos divorciados & would have liked them a bit spicier, but that's just me. The machaca and eggs might have been a little dry according to my husband, but delicious. The portions are pretty big, we took some chilaquiles home. The place is super welcoming & I loved all of their attention to detail. Great place to enjoy a wonderful breakfast.

Google
to start, waitress was very distracted focusing on the guests on the table next to us. not a busy morning but the service was not at the very minimum. food - oversized portions, over condimented with lime, I hope that was the way of making it and not to hide something. coffee mixed with other flavored coffee that you couldn't missed it bathroom door doesn't lock. I like the idea of the concept and I'm supportive on their business but needs some supervision and recommendations.

Google
Not pictured here, my son got "Silence the Child" which comes with scrambled eggs, French toast and the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had. My boyfriend got chilaquiles with machaca and I got the "divorced eggs" pictured here. I loved how in both our meals the tortillas were soaked in their delicious sauce but remained crispy. The tres leches French toast was the same. I was afraid itd be too soggy but they were just right. The only set back for me was the coffee. Im already not a fan of cafe de olla but my boyfriend and I agree it's too sweet here. I rejected it immediately as I'm used to no sugar in my coffee but he was ok with it. Definitely recommended the meals we had though.

My husband and I are regulars and we love this place and our male server! This time we got a new female waitress and she brought us our food and when I tried the cheese it was a bit bitter and so we let her know just so she can be careful in serving that same cheese (in no way were we looking for a refund) so she left and I kid you not SHE CAME BACK WITH A PIECE OF CHEESE IN HER HAND, WAVING IT AND EATING IT WITH HER MOUTH WIDE OPEN “it tastes good, I’m trying it right now and it’s fine” WHILE HER MOUTH WAS STUFFED WITH THE CHEESE!! And she’s goes on to explain how it’s so fresh etc… And how I’m wrong and she doesn’t know why my husband and I are stating the cheese was a bit bitter and trying to prove us wrong. It was extremely unprofessional and wrong. I love this place just not the service she gave.

Google
Loved the food felt like I was at home. Despite just 3 people working, the service was great. The guy taking our order, was nice. Definitely recommend.

Google
Great taste, very savory. We got the Eggs con Machaca and the enchiladas (red sauce, it is not very spicy). The portions are on the smaller side given the price, but we cleaned off the dishes. Kitchen service is a little slow but worth the wait. Lively atmosphere and clean facilities.

Yelp
Fast service and great food. Friendly staff and exceptional service. Machaka con huevos was cooked to perfection.

Yelp
The family has actually been here before, but thinking that I did the safe dish. As I tried the pork belly this time. And tried the family dishes (they offered). OMG. Whoever thought of the dishes for this place is amazing. I seriously don't think that I've had a menu that I could have done almost everything and been extremely happy. French toast is amazing looking and tastes the same. Just amazing. My family wanted to continue ordering food as they wanted to continue their taste testing. We will be back!!

Yelp
I really like the name of this spot, and it's a big plus that there's plenty of parking. The Mexican drinks were good, and the food was enjoyable--I especially liked how the eggs were plated. The interior is nice and spacious, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The reason for my rating, however, is the service. It felt like they didn't provide enough follow-through or attention to detail. We weren't checked on regularly--I had to hunt down our server to ensure my coffee and water were refilled, and they didn't ask if my wife or son wanted refills either. After our food arrived, no one checked in on us until we had finished eating. I had also requested steak with my meal, but it was missed. When I mentioned it to the server, she kindly removed it from the bill, which I appreciated. Still, if they had checked in earlier, the issue could have been resolved, and I would have had my steak. It seems like a new spot, and I'm sure they're still getting the hang of things. I'll probably come back in the future and give their service another try.

Yelp
We found this place via yelp. We had breakfast here today. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered the chilaquiles in red sauce with steak and an egg, over medium. My partner had the Tres Leches French Toast with a side of sausage, bacon, and house potatoes. We both had cafe de olla. Our favorite was the Tres Leches French Toast, it's not too sweet and is topped with fresh berries. Outside of the french toast the bacon, egg and sausage are basic breakfast items; therefore, difficult to mess up. However, the house potatoes had pieces of undercooked potatoes and overcooked potatoes & the presentation was lackluster. The chilaquiles, were the biggest disappointment. I added steak, but it's chopped up into tiny pieces and I could barely find any of it in the dish. The chilaquiles are more like tortilla soup. The tortilla chips were not coated evenly in salsa and it looked more like they poured the sauce into the bowl and just dumped a bunch of chips inside and poured more sauce over the chips. I ended up leaving most of it because it became a gross pile of mush. Additionally, the chilaquiles were way too spicy. I like spicy foods, but these were painfully spicy, making them inedible. The server warned us that the cafe de olla was sweet, but that was an understatement as it tasted nothing like coffee, and all like sugar water. One of the worst cafe de olla that we have had. The space is open, clean and with some nice decor consisting of pictures and paintings of old Mexican artists. However, the seating is terrible. The chairs are not meant for anyone with hips and/or thick thighs. Very uncomfortable. Overall the flavor of the food is good, but it's nothing to rave about. Still debating on whether it's worth another visit.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot in Hawthorne. Service is amazing. Great choices and music makes the ambiance nice. Give it a try if you're ever in the southbay.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. Portion was pretty good. Not your average over stack servings like other Mex restaurants. Our main server lady wasn't to attentive but the male server was. Thank you.

Yelp
A friend sent me a pic for chilaquiles and it looked delicious. So I ordered it for delivery and guess what.... It was delicious!!!! I can't say too much about the physical restaurant because my order was delivered but if this restaurant can get chilaquiles right, I am assuming they do other things right. It's like my bread test at restaurants, if they can get basic food right, it naturally follows that other foods have to be good. Some of my worst experiences (not here, BTW) started off with bread sticks and which are essentially crackers. I've got to give Con Huevos 4 stars for an amazing breakfast.

Yelp
Party 5, we all liked the decorations, very authentic, some even funny. We were there for breakfast, everything each one of us ordered was delicious , we arrived at a good time did not wait, great fast service, since we were short in time. We will definitely come back for more delicious food!

Yelp
This place is super cute and spacious! Lots of parking street and lot The chicken was super tender, the red salsa was delicious. I recmd adding the chicken to the chilaquiles. It was a huge portion! I barely finished my dish. Cafe de olla was a tad sweet for me but I did enjoy the taste. They have a pretty big menu. Service was excellent! I want to return to try some of the other items on menu.
google avatar

Melanie L.

Yelp
Omg yes!!! Bomb!!!! Service is good too. No refills on cafe the olla. Family environment.
google avatar

Shauny L.

Yelp
Excellent service!! Excellent food!! Excellent ambiance!! Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the entire restaurant is extremely clean!! I will definitely be back!! Chilaquiles Torta w/ Green sauce + Red sauce on the side.

Yelp
Food was great and reasonable. Place was busy with short wait time. Would definitely recommend

Mayra T.

Yelp
Food was warm, barely. There were eggshells in my food. Food was bland, and portions were small. Dishes were chipped (bacteria breeding ground) and it was way overpriced for what it was, super disappointed

Yelp
Found this place right around the corner from our car rental spot. Really nice people in a cute little spot serving really good food. The breakfast potatoes were different but amazing. The mole was really tasty. Our server was great and fast. Made sure we had everything we wanted. When we wanted it. If you're in the area and want to get your Mexican fix check this place out! In L.A where you can't throw a stone without hitting a Mexican restaurant, this place and its food and service stood out!
google avatar

Diana R.

Yelp
Food and service was amazing! 10/10 recommend. I had the huevos rancheros and they were delicious, not too spicy!

Yelp
Food was good we had the asada sopes and the tres leches French toast Love the cafe de la olla Good service from waiter How ever waitress was kinda rude and not only with us but other customers too Nice and clean place Good ambience Willing to come back

Virginia R.

Yelp
Long wait to be seated and to be served. I ordered the machaca plate, it came with black beans and potatoes, the food was cold. Never seen machaca look like Scrambled eggs before. It was ok, needed more flavor. The potatoes were made with tomatoes and looked soggy and they were super cold. The chilaquiles verdes were ok they tasted like tomatillo sauce. The cafe de olla was really good tho.

Yelp
Hard to find parking off a major street. Parking lot seems to be shared with other stores and businesses. It took 20 mins for our waitress to acknowledge us and another 5 mins to take our order. My wife doesn't eat egg yolks so trying to order egg whites was a nightmare. $4 charge for egg whites possibly coming out of a carton is crazy. No thank you. When you think about a breakfast spot. You think of unlimited coffee refills and such, but not here. THEY CHARGED YOU FOR EVERYTHING! Now let's talk about the food. Coffee was lukewarm. Food was slightly above average. Mexican food should be Mexican and not Americanized. If that was the case I'd just go to Dennys. Nice try but focus on what matters and not just profits.

Yelp
So freaking good! Highly recommend, I got the chilaquiles and they were amazing! Service was very attentive. And the vibe is on point!
google avatar

Cindy P.

Yelp
The breakfast was delicious, the chilaquiles divorciados and tres leches pan Frances were a hit! The cafe de olla was perfect as well! Besides the food the service was nice, very attentive and made sure we were doing alright even after eating! The pricing was also a nice plus, definitely returning and recommending to others!

Melissa M.

Yelp
It was pretty good food came out a lil cold. So I'm sure if it came out hot it would have been a lil better
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
I came here for a late breakfast early lunch. I couldn't pass up their chilaquiles w/ green sauce. They did not disappoint. The flavor, the amount of food and the plating was beautiful. I paired it with their cafe de olla and I could have 14 of those! The service was quick and our server was very attentive. I looked the art work and bright colors and funny little sayings around the restaurant. I will definitely come again!
google avatar

Jaime B.

Yelp
First time here and did not disappoint. Food & service was excellent. Will shall return.
google avatar

Christopher V.

Yelp
The food looks great and the place is really cute, but the food is just okay. You can find better authentic chilaquiles elsewhere. I would rate them a 7/10, but 3.5 stars isn't an option. My girlfriend had a breakfast burrito and that was actually really good.

Yelp
We were signed in, and waited over 10 minutes without any acknowledgementt. Terrible cucustomer service. Very disappointed.

Yelp
Our family loves this new breakfast spot ! Food is authentic and service is friendly and attentive. I would love to go back for the live music on Sundays. Great place to enjoy with the family or friends
google avatar

Janeth G.

Yelp
Second time here, first I tried a their 3 leches French toast and the girl told me about their concha French toast, decided to for it and no regrets! The most flavorful thing I have ever had, the mixtures of textures and flavors, makes my mouth water all over again! Ambiance was still cute, chill music. Food-10 Service 10
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food! Open early! Will fix whatever is on the menu for you. Quick service. Clean and beautiful establishment. So happy I found this place! Cafe De Olla was amazing!! Will be back even if just for the coffee!!
google avatar

Araceli R.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the decor was adorable. Definitely plan on being back. The Cafe de Jolla was delicious, just a tad sweet but still good.
google avatar

mario ..

Yelp
Severely under staffed. Four tables open and four parties waiting. The food looks incredible, the menu is thorough and the vibe is more than welcoming. Would easily be 5 stars
google avatar

Jeanette S.

Yelp

Yelp
Great food, great service. Love their Mole enchiladas. Chilaquiles are delicious as well. This place is a must try.

Yelp
Best chilaquiles I have ever had. I asked for "extra spicy," and they understood the assignment. My husband had the divorced eggs and said they were incredible. Refried and black beans were good as well. This is a cute little spot not far from LAX. You won't regret trying it.

Stacy S.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem! I never have high expectations when it comes to going out to eat Mexican food but this place.. AUTHENTIC as they come. The chilaquiles are my favorite, and the cafe de olla is perfection. The decor is cute, like a little family gathering. I've been here a few times since discovering it last October and the chilaquiles are my all time favorite. It's family operated and every server we've had were friendly. Also, they do have restrooms but the door is hidden. Like a speakeasy door. Pretty cool once you figure out how to open it lol. I would definitely recommend.

Elvia S.

Yelp
Was excited to come and try an new place, however waited long to be seated no ones greet you when you come in. The place was not so busy for a Saturday morning. Food took to long to comE. I ordered the machaca and a crane azada torta. The crane azada torta was tasteless and messy falling apart. The machaca came with black beans wich I dislike and couldn't eat. The food price was not bad but the drinks were overpriced pay 10 dollars for an horchata that was small only cause there's no refills. Would not be coming back and I don't recommend it. Also bathroom door don't lock so you feel exposed.
google avatar

Fernando A.

Yelp
I called in asking for a wait time, I was told 20 minutes. I get to the actual restaurant, sign in and have been waiting over 40 minutes. As I sit here with about 5 tables available, and about 15 people with no employees attempting to call anyone! Their sitting procedures are horrible. So if you want to wait for an hour watching table after table become available then this is the perfect restaurant for you.
google avatar

Dustin B.

Yelp
I tried the Machaca burrito this morning and was impressed. Instead of layers of separate ingredients everything was chopped up and scrambled with the eggs. I don't like a ton of potatoes, beans or rice in my breakfast burrito. It was just enough beans, poblano and potato with egg as the primary ingredient and plenty of beef throughout. It was perfectly seasoned but when I saw that the salsa had steam coming out of it, I added it for extra deliciousness. The fruit on the side was premium (grapes, blueberries, strawberry slices and banana).

Jenn G.

Yelp
I just went here recently and was not impressed. We got sat and waited about an hour for our food to come. Server didn't keep up with refills and barely came up to check on us. Our food came cold and not all at once, so we had some of our party eating and others watching us eat. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance and has potential but there are multiple things that could be worked on.

Regina L.

Yelp
I ordered the chicken mole chilaquiles which I felt was really good my friend ordered the steak mole Chilaquiles, he did not like the steak taste. The service was good with the Mexican coffee you only get one cup if you want another one, you still have to pay for 2 cups. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable if I sat back all the way, the bars were digging into my skin. Other people were sitting all the way in, but you could see it was jabbing into their legs as well for this reason I won't go back there unless they change the chairs very uncomfortable.
google avatar

Jose D.

Yelp
Authentic! Cafe de La Jolla on point! Had the tres leches French toast, did not disappoint.
google avatar

Michael N.

Yelp
Heard this place was good and new so I thought I would go check it out and support a new restaurant to the neighborhood. I think they need to get more efficient with their service. Came on a Sunday late morning for breakfast and ended up finally eating in the early afternoon more around late lunch. Our total wait time experience was over an hour and a half. I was committed at this point so I want going to leave but this was ridiculous. They took forever to seat us when there were tables available and then seated it took forever to get our food. I think a slower pace is their style or they haven't figured out how to operate efficiently between the front of the house and the back of the house operation. Not sure we will try this place again until they work out their service time. Food was good though and the staff was hospitable and very nice. Did feel like a family community spot
google avatar

Olivia C.

Yelp
honestly the best authentic mexican breakfast spot everrrrr. reminds me so much of my grandma's cooking, playlist is always a vibe wait times can be longer on weekends
google avatar

Mona g.

Yelp
Amazing food spot! The atmosphere wasn't what you'd expect from the street, inside is clean and simple. The menus however has a great selection. The service was friendly and helpful. The price was fair, however I couldn't give this a five start because the café de olle (cinnamon coffee) should have at least one free refill however they do not offer that. Which is a bummer.
google avatar

Thomas C.

Yelp
Food portioning was very small, it also did not match the price for amount of food you receive. We also came in on a mother's day, and we barely saw the waiter, nor were they attentive to our table. Ambiance was ok, nothing extraordinary. It was just another restaurant. It was good to try the food, but I will not be trying it ever again.

Vincent T.

Yelp
Tried the huevos rancheros. I think they should put the tostada on the sides. It was really soggy. The salsa wasn't what I was expecting. I expected more. This place is still pretty good compared to other places. For the price expected more
google avatar

Reyna S.

Yelp
I will definitely be back. Everything was so yummy. Of course I had to try my co workers food too. It was yummy. Oh and the cafe de la olla omg yum. Customer service was excellent. Great sense of humor.
google avatar

Letty C.

Yelp
Food: delicious I got the green chilaquiles and husband got the French toast breakfast plate. Café de olla was a bit sweet but okay. Service: we were the only ones on a Monday morning so definitely great service haha Ambiance: music was a bit loud for our liking (Mexican songs of course) but it was ok. Place is huge! I Can already see it super crowded on the weekend
google avatar

Lino I.

Yelp
The tres leches French toast was phenomenal and the home fries were.... (Chefs kiss) The decor was definitely lacking but the service and food was amazing so who cares! I'm for sure going to this spot every time I visit Cali
