My wife being a history fanatic I knew the only way we could truly enjoy the Key West, FL area was to get a professional tour. We had the pleasure of riding train number 97, who has the BEST tour guide on the planet. As we weaved our way in/out of the streets of Key West we learned SO much about the city, culture and the roosters. Cannot say how enlightened we all were after this tour. The tour itself lasted about 1.2 hours, and we could have enjoy another hour with our guide. If we had any burning questions of things to do or see or places to eat, our guide filled in all of the questions.

This should be every single tourist first excursion as you get a needed introduction to key West. You would never know the island had such rich history and everything has a story behind it from the fossil stoned buildings to the trees. It gives you plenty ideas of what to do around the island and the guides are all pretty friendly. Thanks for the tour!

We used the Conch Tour Train to take our wedding guests from Old Town Manor to Fort Zachary Taylor Beach—and it was one of the highlights of the night! Our guests had an absolute blast riding through Key West, honking the horn, and dancing along to the music on the way to the ceremony. Sarah, our driver, was fantastic—friendly, fun, and even took music requests on the ride back. It added such a unique and memorable touch to our wedding day. We’re so glad we splurged on this!

We did this as our first activity on our trip to Key West and I was so glad we did, we got to learn about the ample and interesting history of the island as well as see many potential places to check out after our tour. A great way to help you figure out how to make the most of your time in Key West, all while resting your feet! The tour is fun and informative, we appreciated the ten minute break so it did not feel overwhelming. Our guide, James, did a fabulous job and was happy to answer any and all questions.

The train ride was a lot of fun and well organised. The driver was also really friendly and experienced. You see all the interesting spots on this tour. Unfortunately, when we did this tour in August there was one stop missing because it was under construction. Also, the ticket price is kind of high. It is almost 45 $. You do get some coupons for other attractions and you also have free admission for the sails to Rails museum but it is still a bit expensive.

We had the good fortune to tour Key West on Easter Sunday with Kenny as our guide. This was, by far, the single best tour we have ever taken anywhere. Kenny is engaging, clear, very well informed, and truly funny. My wife and I learned an enormous amount about the island and from someone who grew up on Key West — from the history of major storms to fascinating details about the local flora and fauna. Kenny is exceptionally well read and knows how to weave a good story. He’s meticulous about fact and detail and knows how to command and direct the attention of his listeners. Thank you and bravo!

***Christmas Lights Train Review*** We went on the 6 pm train and this was perfect for our kids. You need to arrive 15 mins prior at the Key West High School parking lot. This was perfect as there was plenty of parking, but no restrooms were available as the school was closed up. The train had a great music mix and we drove around mostly residential neighborhoods, a little of upper Duval, to City Hall and then back to the high school. Wonderful lights displays and a few fun small surprises. Exceeded my expectations. A bit pricey, but absolutely worth it.
