Concha bakery

I wish I could give no stars, we ordered a cake from them 2 weeks ago and went to pick up the cake and it was a dark purple, we wanted light purple, the lettering was off-center, and it looked rushed. We even sent an inspo picture and the baker said it was difficult for him to match the color of the cake. If we had known that we would've just gone with white. On top of that he didn't want to fix it for us, he said he would, but he would charge us an additional $30 when we had already paid $100. He yelled at my mom and said that "it wasn't like Home Depot where you get a color match he isn't a machine". Bad customer service imo we won't be getting anything from them anymore...

The pan dulce tasted a few days old just tastes like I'm putting food in my mouth, it lacks flavors, the bread is a little hard, hardly filling, the sweetness also appread dry

Pan seemed like it was multiple days old, definitely not fresh. The concha topping crumbled all over and was still texture of granulated sugar. Was embarrassing to show up to a party with this pan. Not sure what happened with this place, but it's very sad.

I was so excited when my husband walked in with a Mil hojas slice, it looked so good and fresh in the pic on line... But then we opened it and the fruit was rotten and dried out almost dehydrated, the whipped cream was hard and so nasty... I will never go back here, just because they are willing to sell someone rotten food. What else are the willing to do... just opened the cones he bought to check them, they are old and hard... the vanilla should not be hard... DISGUSTING

It's so sad to post a negative review but in my case I had placed a cake order thinking its was going to be delicious like their bread. No complaints about that but when it comes to their cakes it was worse their bread was hard like if it was old they had told me that they bake their cakes fresh everyday. It was our first time ordering cake from here. I had explained to the lady what I wanted on the cake and I wrote it down how I wanted it on the receipt she told the guy who is the baker and he said yes he understood what I wanted on the cake. All I wanted was a half sheet snow white theme colors and on top of the cake I wanted happy birthday and the baby's foto on the middle of the cake and her name on the bottom of the foto. Simple right well not the case I went to pick up my cake and their was no picture and the writing was horrible like if a little kids wrote it. I asked the same lady that took my order that it wasn't what I had asked for. She asked the baker to come see the cake and he said the cake was what we had ordered I told him check the receipt it's was in high lighted I had send him the picture of the baby and the picture of the colors that I wanted to his phone the day I placed the order. He looked at the receipt and said you never send the picture so I texted him as I was their and he got the text and said oh I just got it. Vary unprofessional very bad experience and he never offer to refund or anything. I always like to buy from small business to help out the community but they we get people like this that makes me think twice

The bread was fresh and had a large variety to choose from. Pricing was a plus. The parking is a little tight but we'll worth it.

This review is for Concha Bakery #2, located in Apple Valley on the corner of Kiowa and Bear Valley Rd. The bakery is open 6am-6pm M-F and 6-2 on the weekends. The young man running the place is the baker, the clerk, the janitor, the parking attendant, etc. I was surprised the business was open again. It was a different bakery and it was closed. He notified me that he's been open 7 months. I never knew. Well, I decided to buy the namesake bread (conchas), some cuernos for coffee and a dozen bolillos. The bread did not disappoint! It was fresh, soft and tasty. The bakery itself was clean and neat. I hope he gets the support from the community. We need to have fresh pan dulce in Apple Valley. Now is the best time to try this bakery. There is nothing better than a cup of coffee and a variety of Mexican bread to choose from in this cold weather.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! Concha Bakery on 7th St. The man in charge is very rude not only to us, but to his employee too! I worried for her. But also, the expectation for the cake was not what we wanted. We got a full cake and he asked us to send him a full picture and it wasn't printed out completely. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Don't ever pay upfront because he did not simply cared! He said leave the cake there and you don't get your money back. I wish I can give this place ZERO stars!!! DO BETTER PLEASE

STAY AWAY unless you're looking for a bad experience. This man doesn't care about his clients or employees. When I walked in he was yelling at his employee very rudely. I feel for the girl working for him. I ordered a full size cake and agreed on a picture to go on the cake, to my surprise he printed 1/2 picture twice and placed them crooked. I question him and told me if you don't want the cake leave it but you aren't getting your money back. I asked him you don't care about your customers and he said no I don't. NEVER AGAIN.

Hidden gems have the best food The best Mexican bread in the high desert.. Bread is super soft fresh not old and hard . The bollios are super soft and always fresh . I don't go anywhere for Mexican bread of bollios

My experience with this bakery is pretty good, Great service and the pan dule is very good, also fresh. My only complaint is that on some days it can be a bit different then from other day like for example let's say a pink concha is a shade of pink and a nice tan color, the next Saturday it's a hot pink and more of a darker color then tan, and it tastes more like egg. But I understand it's not always going to be perfect but overall, it's still good and fresh would recommend!

I love this place! Someone gave me a concha bread from here and I had to get more! I did not know that the bread was so soft and good!! I always passed by but never stopped and now I am going there a lot...might not be good for me, but it is so delicious! You must try everything from them! I got the jalepeno cheese bread, concha white and pink, and the rolls with cheese...they are all so soft and delicious...always so fresh!
