Sure the city has a plethora of decent croissants, but a TRULY GREAT croissant reminiscent of the ones in France/Europe, is surprisingly hard to come by but that's exactly what Conci consistently delivers. We're talking fresh, moist, flaky, pronounced buttery flavour, and excellent lamination for an airy yet substantial bite. Their other viennoiseries are also fantastic. Service is friendly, the price is right and the space is unpretentious. This spot is so out of the way for me but it's worth the trip every time.

This is such a cute place to get amazing food. Went here for a Sunday brunch. No reservations but still found a spot.. not because it's not busy but most people get take aways and it was a rainy Sunday. Got the veg croque monsieur, an almond coffee crossiant and quiche (the best one in Toronto hands down) The food was fantastic and the chef and the staff delightful. Wouldn't rave about the coffee but it wasn't bad. They have a lovely selection of breads and wines as well. Would definitely be visiting again.

Tried their almond croissant and it was very good ! They have a lot of savoury options as well as sweet ones. They have patio seating. Friendly service. Will try more things when in the area.

Terrible service, rude and extremely unfriendly. Seems they don't like people of a certain color. Never felt so unwelcome by the lady at the front. They must be buying positive reviews. The food was overpriced, soggy and tasted stale. The only decent thing was the coffee which tasted like it was from mcdonalds. If you're looking for a nice French bakery la beau on dundas has actually real French pastries.

One of the best brunches I've ever had in Toronto. Spectacular flavors! Edit: after several months, I returned there and I haven't changed my opinion, in fact I'd give this place 6/5 stars if possible. Every plate looks like a piece of art and they taste incredible. I'm adding a new picture to these review in case you're still wondering if it's worth your time.

Located at Greenwood & Gerard, Conci was a highly anticipated destination fueled by numerous recommendations (thanks, Peter from Dreyfus!). We'd heard about their natural wines, but we came by early Sunday morning on this particular occasion, seeking comfort in some pastries and coffee. They opened at 9 am, and we showed up five minutes later, only to find a tolerable queue of eager customers. Most people seemed glad to grab their treats to go, but we chose to enjoy the morning sunshine on their patio. The croissants that awaited us were superb. We woke from our Sunday morning haze with each buttery, flaky, flavorful bite. Yet, one particular pastry reigned supreme—a pistachio-infused croissant with unrivalled flavour and texture. Oh, what a hit it was with the adults and kids alike! In the company of flat whites brewed to perfection, the entire experience reached new heights. As we sipped our coffee and savoured the last morsels of our delightful pastries, we couldn't help but feel a deep sense of satisfaction. Conci exceeded our expectations, leaving an indelible mark on our culinary journey, orchestrated in the most unpretentious settings. So, if you are fortunate enough to be on the east end, step foot in this spot and enjoy! We look forward to returning to try the natural wines on-site, but we purchased some bottles to take home, which will do for now!

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Chocolate lover, or not? Then try a Cinnamon Knot, or their Triple Cheese Croissant? No matter what you pick, you’re sure to walk away and come back for more. The tart - buttery and crumbly - brings an excellent balance of sweetness and a touch of salt that complements the rich filling of gooey chocolate. Smooth and velvety, the dark chocolate hums with a restrained sweetness and is balanced with a hint of bitterness, melting in your mouth, leaving a lingering cocoa aroma that’s bolstered by a light dusting of cocoa powder and a drizzle of chocolate glaze. Sweet and spiced, unequivocally nice, it’s perfect for those who love warm flavours. Each bite is soft, fluffy and brings a satisfying chew, with a golden-brown exterior coated in a subtle sugariness. It opens up into a generous cinnamon sugar filling, swirled throughout the knot, offering a sweet and whispers of spice in every bite, yet another reason why cinnamon is my favourite seasoning. Finally, this isn’t my first time with their cheesy croissant, layered with flaky, buttery layers of golden perfection that shatter with each bite to reveal a soft, airy interior structure—packed with a complex, cheesy aroma that exudes umami and indulgence, reinforced by the crunchy, nutty poppy seed crust. It lives up to the hype. EDIT: More goodies. The canele has a deeply caramelized exterior, for a rich depth of flavour and a crispy texture to contrast the gooey vanilla custard center, while the kouign aman has an attractive shape and a beautiful contrast of textures and flavours.

Dropped by on a Sunday afternoon. This place is obviously popular as they were out of some baked good when they got there. Managed to snag the bread pudding and loved it. Huge, dense, custardy, creamy. A tad pricey but worth it. Also got coffee which was pretty standard. Not sure what this place is like as a bistro and wine bar. But as a bakery, its definitely worth a stop!
