Lots of variety. Very high prices. Coffee ($3.75) was not very good. They also ran out of coffee twice, the only 2 times I’ve been there. They also ran out of creamer. The first pie we got was pretty good and not expensive ($12?). The coffee cake ($15) was super dry and the streusel was not very good. My friend’s overnight oats with fresh fruit and a spoon of peanut butter looked good ($9). They do carry Nashoba Brook Bakery bread - which is excellent and not very expensive.

I love this place! The concord market actually feels a lot like a store called butcher and pantry in Vermont. If you don’t know the reference just know it’s really good. High quality goods, great atmosphere, and really nice staff. I took a lot of photos so you can get a sense of the space. There is a wide selection of products and a seating area to enjoy them. Also, the concord market owns the restaurant in the same plaza. Highly recommend checking this place out. The products they offer are hard to find any place else locally.

Google
Great Butcher counter Excellent steaks but the best is Lamb Loin Roast. They cut the bones out of a rack and string it in a Roast. So good. Call ahead to prevent a wait. Coat with Dijon mustard, add favorite spices and Roast to desired temp. I like to indirect cook on Weber charcoal. Can be done in oven as well. Reminder to have a drip pan under the roast with water to catch fat and prevent flare ups if cooking on a grill. The guys at the butcher counter know what they are doing and are friendly !

Stumbled across this gem while looking for a Market Basket in Concord, long story short, this store is not a market basket. I just needed rice flour. This place makes me feel like a princess. Specifically, 2002s Barbie as Rapunzel when she escapes the castle and discovers the village. When I’m rich , I’ll shop here more.

Wow, a hidden gem just off the beaten path in Concord. So glad we found it. Fantastic selections of everything, and,so fresh. Great prepared meals and baked goods, fresh vegetables, lunch meats and salads. Well worth a visit!!!

Google
The shop is quite nice with many good grocery items, but we really need to talk about the pricing. I just spent $120 getting four chicken cutlets, a ball of fresh mozzarella, a standard bottle of marinara sauce, a pack of pasta, and a couple fresh herbs to throw on top. This is an absolute luxury store. I can only recommend if you don't typically care at all what the price is on your receipt.

Google
Cashier quite rudely looked in my reusable shopping bag, which had items from Walgreens in it while I was packing my groceries. Felt accusatory. I go to Concord Market almost every week and have never experienced something like that.

Google
I’m not one for bad reviews, and enjoy the fresh-farm ambience here, but our $18 peach pie was literally inedible, and our family will eat just about anything. The dough was very tough, the cardamom added kinda like it was cinnamon (it’s not! Add less!) and the peaches so unripe they were crunchy. It’s hard to help the peaches but I’d think for that price tag that the dough would be good.

Yelp
This store has a well-curated selection of hard to find items ... lots of $12 ice cream and $5 bottles of soda ... which appease the Concord-ites in their $2 million houses. You can find things here that you can't find anywhere else. The best ice cream in the world is Mitchell's ice cream in Santa Barbara, CA. I have never seen this for sale outside of Southern CA ... much less in Massachusetts. I don't even mind paying $10/pint. Do yourself a favor and try it. (Just leave some for me!) The Chip Shop Curry sauce in the Irish/British section is also a fantastic item. You'll never think of Ketchup with french fries again once trying this cardboard tube of dehydrated crystals. And their selection of beers and wines at about 20% markup are pricey, but good. Bananas Foster Milkshake IPA, Blueberry Muffin Porter and obscure French and Italian wines? I'm in. I am not necessarily going to complain about the absolutely insane prices. This sure isn't Market Basket. Shit, even Wholefoods rolls their eyes behind this store's back when they see a half a tuna fish sandwich for $14 or a $6 single wrapped non-descript oatmeal cookie. You know what you are getting into when you pass through town and see the perfectly landscaped 1700's giant houses with their 'activist' signs in the front yard, that look like they came out of a Pottery Barn catalog. You know ... Stop Global Warming ... yet consume ice cream that traveled 4,000 miles across the country in a refrigerated truck. What I don't love is the pre-made foods ... from the sandwiches to the baked goods to the entrees aren't that good. How can one go wrong with a $12 'authentic' Jamaican jerk pasty? When it is bland, tasteless and contains two small scraps of meat, that's how. In a moment of weakness, I splurged on a $8 piece of pie that tasted of little more than shortening and cardboard. Overall, it's clean ... it's immaculate ... and it's well curated for the well off. It's 20-something year old workers, who clearly would rather be at Dartmouth gathered around an ice luge made with Fiji Water, will one day be able afford the trappings of $40/lb. Stilton cheese and $12 per ounce pimento cheese spread. But in the meantime, they aren't that helpful or interested in customers. Who can blame them? Hedge funds and derivatives are so much more interesting than Naples tomato sauce and organic laundry detergent. Would I come back? Yes ... for the 5 or 6 really cool things I can't find anywhere else and cannot live without. A raging coke habit would be less expensive than doing one's regular grocery shopping here. But ... you never know what oddiments you'll find. Just keep in mind that a $20/lb. cold cut really is just a cold cut here and many of the crazy expensive deli, bakery or cheese items here aren't that amazing despite 70% of the world needing to take out a mortgage to buy a roast beef and asagio cheese sandwich on sourdough here.

Yelp
What was once an amazing community shop has now become a run of the mill store that sells items you can find anywhere else at probably a fraction of the price. But this isn't about price, this is about having a shop in town that is special and the Concord Market is no longer that. At one time they would procure the best ice cream and means from across the country and now they are relegated to sparse freezer shelves of Jenni Ice cream and Boars Head hot dogs. If I wanted that I would just go to Stop and Shop. It saddens me that it is clear this place is holding on for its dear life but that's the truth. Stay true to why you opened this place and maybe locals would frequent you.

Yelp
This review is strictly on their BBQ menu that they currently offer every Friday evening at the time of this review (June 2022). This yelp account is dedicated to finding BBQ spots all over New England so I'm a bit of a BBQ Snob and clearly this place is no smokehouse, but I have to try it. This is a great store with tons of local items and imported beers and wines, good bakery, good food to take home for dinner, small produce section but its all good. Apparently they have a few nights out of the week where they prepare a different themed menu like Indian food Wednesday or Mexican Thursday or something like that. Just so happens that Friday is BBQ night. Nice menu items, Ribs, Brisket, Pulled Pork, Fried Chicken, Beans, Mac and Cheese, Biscuits, Slaw ... think that was about it. So I ordered it all. Didn't get everything I asked for but I ordered it all. Pulled Pork. Immediate reaction was "ehhgg". Crock Pot style to me, been stewing in some kind of sauce. Lots of fat bits, tender enough but still chewy, good for sandwiches, not really pulled the right way, the flavor kills any pork taste, no smoke flavor, not that I was really expecting it but still. Taste is okayish but I couldn't get over the texture. Mac and Cheese was tough pasta with cold cheese goop that tastes like kraft singles. Surprised by how cold it was actually. I picked up my order on time. Biscuit was actually the best part of the meal. Good buttery sweet bread. Not warm but still pretty nice. If it was warm and served with some maple butter it would be incredible, but I'd get it again. No desserts are part of their BBQ menu but they have a good selection of some sweet treats. I got a cup of chocolate mousse. Looked good, tasted good, light and rich and fluffy, yum. But you can get that any day of the week, I think Ribs were not pre-cut but some parts were easy to cut through and some parts were really tough. They had BBQ sauce slathered all over them which is always a no no in my book but with these oven baked ribs I guess it's okay. 6 Ribs on a 1/2 rack, good amount of meat on the bones, sauce was traditional, some kind of rub obviously on the bottom of the ribs, didn't look so much on the top. Pork flavor was pretty good. The meat didn't fall right off the bone when I picked it up but it was easy enough to clean off the bone when eating. Might have been due to the temperature though, a bit cooled down. Fried Chicken actually was a nice blend of spices for the skin, but the meat was nothing special. Honestly, it reminded me of boiled chicken. The fried skin was very crispy but it wasn't really on the chicken, more like a boiled and lightly roasted chicken thigh inside a bubble of crispy fried chicken skin. And I don't know if it was sitting for a good long while but there were some obvious spots that had oil and juices sitting in the fried stuff and it just made this gross slime on the inside. Also they say you have to order it online but it wasn't working so I did it over the phone. Didn't get Brisket or Coleslaw even though I asked. No big deal. But the food wasn't quality enough for me to try it again. Their other stuff is good though.

Yelp
Concord Market is beginning to show signs of improvement. The produce section is nicely organized and items appear fresh. There's plenty of space devoted to wine & spirits but not a drop of water anywhere on the shelves. My visit to the center aisles was repeatedly interrupted by rude twenty-something staff who were stocking shelves and having words with each other. There's a wide assortment of spices, condiments, and canned goods. Cashiers are helpful and pleasant. The white rocking chairs located on the store's porch have replaced the charming Adirondack chairs that went missing a few years ago.

Yelp
Seems like a nice local market in Concord, MA. Has a nice selection of wine, beer and other alcoholic beverages. Fresh prepared meals and deli. Went in to buy a few things on my home, apparently they are too snobby to accept EBT Snap benefits. Walked right out without making my purchase. Won't be shopping there, like, ever....

Yelp
I wanted to love this place. Sadly, I've given it 3 tries. Check photos attached- receipt with date. Last night I purchased winter squash. I got up today and the winter squash they sold me, was too dried out to be edible.. photos show the part i had to cut off to salvage any portion to cook. It's new years day and stores are closed. We're not starving but this was on our meal plan for this holiday. Last month, i returned a box of crackers that were rancid. A brand new store selling rancid food is just ridiculous .. my very first visit, their doors wouldn't function /didn't open even though they were open for biz. I understand the high prices. It's Concord $$$ and we can afford it. Too bad .. we are locals but local people are not going to put up with poor quality food.

Yelp
I don't get the three-stars- are the people of Concord so spoiled? This place is a gem. Granted a pricey gem, but nobody wants cheap gems anyways! This might be the most picturesque food market I've been to ever. Its relatively well stocked with basic necessities and tons of goodies. This isn't the place to do all your shopping, but an event to grab a few higher end goodies. Stopped by while in the area this week and thought we'd grab a few odds and ends for a picnic at Minuteman Park. Picked up some marinated olives, couple of speciality cheeses, a few cans of Pricklee (cactus water), donuts (Sunday only) and sourdough bread pudding. We were hungry! Prepared food was amazing! Especially the donuts- I got cinnamon toast crunch and lemon lavender. Donuts had big flavor and had a nice chew to them. Only wish I had a coffee to enjoy with them (next time?!). Sourdough bread pudding was amazing too, with a nice caramel sauce. The olives were great too and good value ($3.50 for a container). All in all, a successful pit stop. I would swing by the next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
I love this little store. My partner and I came to Concord as a mini "getaway" during COVID times. I walked here while he was taking a nap to grab some sweets for our movie night in. When I walked in, I felt like I was in a general store/gourmet country store. LOVE! I wandered the aisles and picked up some of Polar Seltzer's small batch 100 seltzer, a piece of tiramisu and a fruit tart, as well as some fancy mints from France. I could have spent all day just browsing the shelves - the layout is lovely. The staff and shoppers all seemed kind and funny. The staff were helpful and tried not to make me wait while I was picking out sweets, and a shopper made a joke to me while I was checking out. I was so taken that I went back the next day and bought gorgeous organic tomatoes, candles that are locally made, more seltzer, and some more international sweets for my Mom for Easter. If you're in Concord, walk down a little ways from the main drag to find this little gem! PS The tiramisu and fruit tart were delicious and not heavy! PPS Yes, it's sort of expensive, but worth it, I think.

Yelp
Best picnic supplies! Grab a charcuterie board and wine to go and head out the paddle on the Concord River...or just grab quick dinner ideas from impressive ready to go salad, sides and meal section. Love the small batch all natural products featured - always finding something new and interesting!

Yelp
Iu just had the best chicken cutlet of my life today at concord market, every bit was more delicious then the one before, the staff was so friendly and I am very excited to buy another one. They seriously surpassed any expectation I had for the chicken cutlet. Thank you Concord market for such an amazing of flavor in my mouth :)

Yelp
I am usually a fan of the harvest sourdough bread, but they have gone downhill! What used to be loaded with raisins and nuts is now scarce on any fillings. The last loaf I purchased was burnt badly on the bottom. Who puts this kind of stuff out for their customers to buy?

Yelp
I really wanted to like this new grocery store. I know Concord can be expensive, and quality is worth it for the extra dollar. But this place, is laughably a robbery. The prices are so ridiculous. Their selection of meats look delicious and honestly, a lot of it will not be purchased. There will be plenty of waste because of the prices. Like Concord Provisions before them. If you are a multi millionaire, then yeah it would be ok to shop there. The staff also were quite aloof/rude and this town doesn't need another overly pretentious market. Whoever owns this company depending on how much they can afford to invest in will keep it going for a while. But...I'm predicting this place won't last for more than five years. Like I said, maybe whoever invested in this place can afford to keep it there longer. Time will tell. I've had much experience in fine wine and dining in restaurants, as well as working for a high end grocery type place...the amount of breads, meats, fish, poultry, produce, cheeses and food that basically will stay fresh for only so long - have been wasted to the point where it's like too much supply over demand. It's not about trying to save money, and it's not about being cheap. Idle Wild Farms for example has a wonderful selection of foods - fresh, local and worth the money even though they sell a lot of expensive goods....it's worth it. That's why they've had business for decades. But if I wanted to get some halo oranges, a steak, milk, nuts, a cracker spread, a couple produce items....I'm not really tempted to spend $80.00.

Yelp
We stopped by for some lunch items and suggestions for a day in the area. The 2 folks "working" inside Concord Market apparently were both having a contest as to who could act ruder to anyone unlucky enough to enter the place. After I heard... "go look for yourself" following an inquiry as to where prepared foods were located... we put our intended items on a small table, and our 3rd try to purchase items was our last. Other than the need of a good sweeping and mopping, it was otherwise unremarkable. Sad we will not return. Nothing special here... except for especially expensive, run-of-the mill stuff and less than "happy to see you" attitude so needed these days

Jeffrey L.

Yelp
Concord market has very good quality dry and prepared good but the prices are extremely hig
google avatar

Maddy M.

Yelp
Excellent prepared food! I can always find specialty brands for things like coffee and prepared coffee drinks (lots of local cold brew and local roasters). Definitely pricey but it is not meant to be a typical grocery store.

Betty R.

Yelp
Much of the staff quite friendly but not cashiers- virus fear?- some salad combos unusual - many precooked meals for those who need them- eye catching baked goods - some fresh produce- even fun children's games to buy! That being said, I reiterate the overpriced items turn many patrons off- designer purses over shopper's shoulders speak volumes about the clientele. Our backpacks and sweats paled in comparison to the stylish ensembles of the patrons. Also, they sell flowers, but any gardener's eye sees the poor quality and near death of the daffodils. We, too, wanted to embrace it, but after two visits, each totalling 100.00 for two bags, we decided to move to another store.

Yelp
This place is such a welcome addition to our little town! I fell in love at first sight, the pastries, the fresh fish and everything else looks fresh and tasty. I loved the curried chicken salad and the spicy carrot salad. And they have a ton of flavors of Jeni's ice cream, the best ice cream in the planet!

Yelp
Great new market! Just what Concord needed! For only being open less than 3 months, I'm impressed with the selection of groceries and goodies coming out of the kitchen. Great service and fun staff! Love all the food I've tasted far! Looking forward to more!

Steven W.

Yelp
I live near Concord Market. I really wanted to like it. The market emphasizes prepared foods and quality ingredients. If Concord Market lived up to my expectations, I would likely stop by a couple of times a week to pick up a zero-effort dinner on my way home. The prices haven't bothered me. (I guess I am less price sensitive than some of the other reviewers who have mentioned this as an issue.) One of my favorite zero-effort dinners includes a whole, roasted chicken. Concord Market carries these, and they look very good. I was going to buy one, but fortunately I always read ingredient labels. A member of my household has a severe allergy to sodium bisulfite, which is a preservative that the FDA banned for certain uses (on fresh fruits and vegetables) in 1986, after 13 people died from being exposed to it. I can't for the life of me figure out why Concord Market (a place that emphasizes freshness and quality) decided to use a preservative on freshly made chickens, but I suppose it is their prerogative to do so. (None of the other markets in the area do so ... Crosby's, Concord Provisions, Whole Foods, Roche Bros, ...) Anyway, the inclusion of a dangerous preservative in their fresh chicken recipe is still not the reason I decided stop shopping there (although it certainly made me question how fresh the prepared items really are). Three weeks ago, I asked the person at the counter why they use sodium bisulfite. He told me that sodium bisulfite is the same thing as kosher salt, which is absolutely not the case. (In case it's been a while, table salt is sodium chloride, with the chemical formula NaCl. Kosher salt is an especially pure kind of table salt that does not have additives. Sodium bisulfite has the chemical formula NaHSO3. They both start with "sodium" but they are totally different things.) The counter guy also told me that he is the one who makes the chickens. I told him that salt and sodium bisulfite are not the same thing. He promised to ask his boss about it. Two weeks ago when I was buying something else, I asked the same guy about it. He told me that he forgot to ask about it. One week ago... same thing. He told me once again that sodium bisulfite is the same thing as kosher salt. I repeated that they are not at all the same. He said he would ask about it. I stopped by today. The same guy at the counter was there, and he told me, now for the third time, that sodium bisulfite is the same thing as kosher salt. Oy. The guy suggested that I call early in the morning and place a custom order. In addition to obviating the convenience of prepared food, how can I have any confidence that a person who doesn't believe there is a difference between sodium bisulfite and edible salt will not use the wrong one? So the reason I decided to stop shopping at Concord Market is because the service is inattentive and the staff is dangerously uninformed about food allergens. My advice: if you are shopping for somebody a food allergy, exercise extreme caution at Concord Market. Do not assume the staff behind the counter has any knowledge of common food allergens. Ask a lot of questions. (I upped my rating to two stars instead of one because they have reasonably priced, tasty salmon.)

Lee S.

Yelp
When Concord Market first opened I was not that impressed. Now...I'm 100% in the opposite direction. They have really utilized the space, the offering are very unique, and more importantly (to me) the meals to go have really gotten better. I usually get my meals to go at Verril Farm, but recently I'm going to Concord Market. The variety and quality of the items are incredible. Most recently, I bought the lobster ravioli. I walked by it 3 different shopping times until I eventually said "I need to purchase this because it sounds so good.." Second time buying the lobster ravioli and I'm happy to report it is probably one of the most tasty lobster raviolis Ive ever tasted. Definitely coming back to experience more of their take out meals, etc.

Yelp
I was unemployed for a couple months over the summer and received EBT benefits. While I am working again now I had a few dollars left on my card and wanted to use them up. I was told you don't accept them - this seems a poor policy to have in a time where many people may need assistance - even temporarily. I will no longer be shopping with you as a result - excluding those who are marginalized as a result of their economic situation is incredibly distasteful and speaks volumes as to how you view your place within the community.

Yelp
Well, I want this store to succeed, but I'm not sure it will. I personally have found the staff friendly and helpful. Nice curated selection of produce, but pricy. Most of the dairy is local or organic, but also pricy. Good selection for vegans, but that's irrelevant for me. Might be a good idea to carry some more budget minded items; there's plenty of room in the dairy case. Meat and fish selection is good and I'm willing to pay for those. Overall, I appreciate the convenience of the location, and the store usually has what I need, but I can see how the price point would be a dealbreaker for a lot of people.

Yelp
What an amazing place! A new gem conveniently located and filled with a wide assortment of delicious and different delicacies. I visited for the first time last night and wow! The place is beautiful. They had a wine tasting going on when I arrived (I heard that they do that every Friday night and have tastings of beers and ciders as well) and I was pulled in by friendly wine steward who shared some great wines that they sell at the Market. The meat and cheese counters were filled with amazing, fresh cuts and their prepared food section was full of great looking food. They also have an expansive selection of breads and pastries as well as isles of groceries. I was concerned they may be pricey but I was wrong. For the unique selection of fresh, diverse selection of food (lots for those with gluten and dairy allergies), this place is great!

Yelp
I tried many high end products and all of them are great taste . May need more gourmet products but in general a very well designed store with high end products. Definitely be back
google avatar

Stephen K.

Yelp
Great location! Lots of great options for high end products. Produce is amazing for the beginning of March. Staff is great and I'm excited to go back and back and back throughout the year.

Maisie C.

Yelp
The conspicuous rat trap, still right outside the front of the market for weeks, does nothing to instill confidence. Nevertheless, I went in because I needed to pick up some macaroni and cheddar cheese. They have half a dairy case of non-dairy cheese, and they had a few exotic cheeses in another part of the store. When I asked about just a block of good ol' cheddar, I was shown a cheese that was $24 per pound. Needless to say, this will definitely not be my "go to" for last minute items.

Bonny R.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the Concord Market has missed the mark. We live in Concord and went there for the first time today. They need a differentiator - this place is a very expensive Trader Joe/Crosby's. I paid $4.99 for Almond Milk and could have paid $2.99 at Crosbys. I am all about paying high prices for something unique but there truly was nothing unique at this market. I'm very disappointed. Give me something different and better that I can't get at Trader Joe's, Saltbox Kitchen. Provisions or Crosby's and I'll come back. I really hoped for something unique.

Melinda H.

Yelp
I hope they increase their fresh produce as organic and develop their deli foods to be more sumptuous it is a great location and a great addition to the community

Susan R.

Yelp
Great customer service and selection in all market sections. I'm glad the Concord Market exists!

Sam W.

Yelp
EXPENSIVE EXPENSIVE EXPENSIVE! Wtf! I could get every single one of these products at whole foods for so much less! And thats whole foods pricing! I tried asking for the manager and a worker worker told me he was in a meeting. I called and they told me he was in a meeting. I have a friend of mines daughter who works there whos told me that he purposefully tells inquireres he's busy to now have to deal with them! Disgusting.
