First time in a long time. All volunteer theater. Space is intimate but plush. Sets and costumes high caliber. And a full audience

Freezing in the theater. Even when we told the staff, they said they couldn’t adjust. Several people walked out at intermission. Can’t enjoy the performance like this. Such a shame since it’s a great location & reasonable price to support local theater.

I went to The Book of Will here and it was so much fun! You can’t beat the prices here and although it is an amateur theater, the production was professional.

A wonderful local resource and a fantastic theater! The Conejo Players Theater is full of history, and is a testament to the power of our local community.

It was our first time visiting this theater, happy to know they offer children/ kids theater. Great ordering system, and we picked up our tickets at the box office. Plenty of free (and mostly shaded) parking.

Their productions are always amazing! Cannot fault them in any way. We recently saw a production of Avenue Q, which I have seen in the West end, and it was perfect! The actors they have clearly put alot of time and effort into the productions they put on. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an afternoon of theatre. 2022 was another amazing year for the theatre.

Google
Very nice neighborhood. Playhouse very comfortable seating and the actors put on a very intense Musical. I saw West Side Story and everyone was very good in it. You can see these actors really are into their craft. Theatre is buried away in Thousand Oaks so a little hard to fine but use your nav system and you'll never forget again. A very fun and good night for the family.

The Midsummer Night's murder mystery was good. It could have been a great show. However, some of the actors were quite novice. The premise was good. It needed a little bit of cleaning up. When the killer was revealed, there was no definite motivation and it was really unclear to me and the group of people I was with watching the show. So, at the end of the night, we were left feeling baffled. There was no concrete evidence that pointed to the murderer. It was as if they pulled the murderer out of thin air. On a positive note, I want to give a shout out to the characters Barb and Chad who did a great job acting and improvising during the Q & A section.

Yelp
Entertaining local theater within walking distance from my home. Cast is also local. They performed admiringly and with great passion

Yelp
What a charming theatre Conejo Players Theatre is. It's a jewel tucked back behind Los Robles Greens (golf course). When you come around the corner and get that initial glance of the theater your heart skips a beat at its allure. It's an (all volunteer) community theater. It relies on volunteers and donors to keep it operating. In 2019, it is celebrating 61 years. They're doing something right. The 2019 season has some great shows lined up. Just passed was To Kill A Mockingbird and Sweeney Todd. Currently showing is Disney's original movie adapted for the stage, High School Musical. Coming up is Avenue Q, Proof, Much Ado About Murder, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Pippin and more. Check their website for dates and times. There isn't a bad seat in the house. It seats 185. If you have yet to see a production at this endearing, little theater, I urge you to find a show you'd like to see and not delay any longer. Buy tickets and go!

Yelp
Conejo Players Theatre is truly a gem! The theatre itself is lovely and timeless. The people who run the theatre are patient, talented, and amazingly creative. The way the staff and volunteers have adjusted and adapted to Covid times is truly remarkable- somehow they are still providing an exquisite performing arts outlet for the community and performers, safely. The drive-in performances and zoom shows have been spectacular and their youth program is outstanding. I cannot say enough good things about this theatre company and we are so excited to see more CPT shows in the future!

Yelp
This is a very nice venue for seeing shows in the local area. It's very well maintained. The theater is small, so every seat in the house is great! The admission prices are very reasonable and there is ample free parking.

Yelp
Haven't been to this theater in years and would like to chnage that. I loved the vibes it gave off. One question though...can anyone tell me if it's air conditioned? TIA

Yelp
Have now seen 4 plays over the past 2 years and the productions have always been first class! If you love live theater, you can't beat this theater group for quality, professionalism, and price. I drive 2 hours each way to attend their productions and it's time well spent! Great venue and great artists.

Yelp
A clean theater and easy parking. I came here for the play - ALMOST, MAINE. It was about falling in love, clinging to love, and falling out of love. Truly insightful and a welcomed breath of fresh air in today's times. The cast were the best part and I was suprised with how effortless the talent played multiple roles on the same night. It's rare to see such good chemistry on stage between an entire cast. Highly recommend this play and the theater.

Yelp
Can't rate the performance but as scientists these Conejo Players must be outstanding as they know enough to disregard CDC and Ventura Health guidelines and have their own more stringent rules, currently requiring proof of vaccination to enter. Of course it would be too much trouble to state this on the ticket or at point of purchase so you just turn up with your excited children and get a surprise request and turned away when you don't bring it. Will be interesting to see how long before these excellent scientists decide to trust CDC and Ventura Health guidelines, and how many children this 'community theatre' will disappoint before they do.

Yelp
I auditioned for an upcoming play at Conejo Players Theatre on Tuesday night, and didn't land any non-profit acting work. The director, production manager and rest of crew were all very nice. We got along great. There was a nice group synergy going on..... So I enjoyed the auditioning process. They actually liked and auditioned me for two roles, which should be considered an accomplishment. Anyways, the small community theatre was well maintained. I'd say there was about 150 to 200 seats. Old but comfortable acting facility. They are part of The Four Star Theater Alliance. Theaters in this club includes: Camarillo Skyway Playhouse, Conejo Players Theatre, Elite Theatre Company, High Street Arts Center, Ojai Art Center Theater and Santa Paula Theater Center. UPCOMING CONEJO's PLAYERS THEATRE PRODUCTIONS: Hairspray March 17 to April 15, 2017 Hairspray Jr April 22 to 30, 2017 Social Security May 19 to June 10, 2017 Young Frankenstein July 14 to August 13, 2017 A Murder Is Announced September 8 to 30, 2017 My Son Pinocchio Jr October 14 to 22, 2017 Chess November 17 to December 17, 2017 TICKET SALES Adults: $20 Students $1 GROUP DISCOUNTS Offered: $2 off regular prices on groups of 10-24 people $5 off regular prices on groups of 25 or more people The shows at Conejo Players Theatre are known to be fantastic. If you have the time and want a close getaway from the Greater Los Angeles Area, then... consider going to Conejo/Thousand Oaks, California for dinner and show.

Yelp
We attended the opener of "You can't take it with you"...this was our first time at this theatre. What a wonderful production. The actors were excellent, the theater is comfortable and there is not a bad seat in the house. We bought the season package and I am so glad we did. Looking forward to a wonderful, entertaining year. Thanks to all of the people who put this together, great job, Harry and Susan Schless

Yelp
Such a great theatre! Intimate house, fantastic shows, excellent variety. If you have a chance to come it's not to be missed!

Yelp
Fun place and small venue. All seats are good. Saw Cuckoos Nest. Was really good. Would've enjoyed a better and more varied intermission offering.

Yelp
"Diary of Anne Frank". Great acting! Good facility. Staff very friendly, clean restrooms and intimate theater with not too many seats. Very cold air conditioner so bring a sweater.

Yelp
My family and I have seen quite a few shows at this theater and each time we are very impressed. We love community theater and seeing most of the local theaters working together and supporting each other. One of my favorite shows I've seen here was Tommy. A weird show in and of itself, but the music is amazing. And I'm not going to lie...the guy playing Tommy was pretty incredible. I mean, pretty and incredible.

Yelp
waited years too many to check this place out, looking for something fresh and there it was. The play was Amadeus. Excellent productions, great costumes, nice small very comfortable theatre and the actors were fully committed, professional and entertaining. And it is very affordable. Super evening, you deserve this ovation.

Yelp
188 comfortable seats, professional lighting and a wide stage for actors to work on with plenty of free parking just 3 blocks north of the 101freeway at Moorpark. Location is accessable from both Ventura to the north and Hollywood to the south. However, not recommended as an "industry friendly" venue since there are no industry comps or other industry perks.

Kevin P.

Yelp
This theater consistently puts on great shows. I'm not sure what Greg P. is complaining about regarding "industry comps". It's important to SUPPORT local community theater, not ask for free handouts.

Kimme C.

Yelp
I love this magical little theater; nestled in a quiet part of Thousand Oaks, right off highway 101, a world away from the stresses of my life and always a thrill when the curtain goes up. So many talented individuals sharing their passion for theater and putting on fabulous shows because they love what they are doing...it never gets old. I see one show, then can hardly wait to see the next! So much fun!!

Yelp
a great place to volunteer and fulfill your interest in the theater arts, or at least catch a nice show.
