Food has great flavor. Great staff here too. Great lunch

Google
The best there is! There is a DIFFERENCE between a coney and a hot dog. Coney I-Lander has the real deal. I will drive for hours to take down four of these beauties with cheese and everything. As long as Coney I-Lander exists, the world will be all right!

Alexandra Simms

Google
We enjoyed Coney I-Lander! It has a really neat classic cafe feel, and the staff is super friendly. The hot dogs weren’t quite as big as we were expecting, but they still tasted good. There aren’t many side options, but you get your food really fast!

Tulsa Sales

Google
What a nice clean new venue that serve delicious Coney's!!!!! The owner is very professional and extremely nice just like all of his staff. We love supporting local owner business in Tulsa! Sheila Prine/Express Credit Auto Sales Manager.

Google
Nobody makes better coneys! I do mean coneys and not hot dogs. To a discerning individual, there is a difference. I live in Oklahoma City where we have no Coney I-Landers. When I visit family in the Tulsa area, you can bet your money that I'm going to be visiting Coney I-Lander! Such a treat!

Went in and got 3 cheese with everything on them. Perfect amount for lunch when you’re hungry.

I've ate at this place since I was a kid. I crave the coney's with Louisiana Hot sauce and red pepper. I've fixed mine up this way since I was 5 years old.

This place is amazing!!!!!! Not only is the food awesome, the manager Will Smith you rock sir.!!!! This place was my late father's favorite place to grab a quick bite to eat. Will, made it a great night for my family when we all met there tonight to remember my father, and watch sister get engaged. In the weekly scramble was a message to my sister from her now Fiance. Thank you so much to all the staff for helping with this night.

Yelp
Best chili dogs in town of course Chili does have a tad of sweetness too it Also fresh grilled dogs and fresh made Tamales are bomb despite being a hot dog joint! Try em! Strawberry Fanta on tap, I'm THERE! And always some 80's music jamming ! Take the kids let em get full- mine eat about 4-5 each

Kemah D.

Yelp
Everything was really good including the food and the maintenance the really down thing was it took a little while for our food but other than that everything was amazing iincluding the chile it was really hot and tasty definitely recommend coming to this Coneys.

Denny B.

Yelp
Small buy tastey morsles of mustard, chili, onion and cheese on a soft steamed buns. Quick service despite being busy. Ambiance was good, cafeteria style. Plenty of parking. Check them out!

Gwen C.

Yelp
It's the same old little wieners, no taste greasy chili, dried onions we ordered three chili cheese dogs and two tamales. The tamales were very good tasting but they were covered with all that cheese and that wasn't very good at all. I keep on going back to the original one at 21st and Garnet it's the only one that has decent taste in chili and real onions.

Yelp
On August 21, 2023 my daughter, great granddaughter and myself went to the Coney Islander @ 41st and Yale in Tulsa, OK. We ordered (5) cheese coneys (1) plain dog and (2) small three ways the food was terrible the dogs were burnt the cheese looks like it had been frozen and old,we lifted the cheese old it was heavy, clumpy, and unmelted We ended up just trashing it because they didn't want to do a cash refund almost $30.00 dollars, instead make the food over but we decided it wasn't worth going back up there and end up getting the same quality of food. We've always eaten at this restaurant and was pleased with the food, but this was the worst food ever, so this eatery has been removed our favorite places to eat they received the last $30.00 from me, wis I would have saved the picture of the food so I could upload it with my yelp review. VERY DISAPPOINTED

Jason B.

Yelp
I haven't been here in a hot minute and it hasn't changed a bit. The lines were long but it didn't take long to get though. They are no longer enforcing the masks around here so that's a change from being in Orlando. The coneys were pretty dang good though and for me & my brother it was $16

Logan V.

Yelp
I just had a frightening encounter with the manager of this location. He was unusually aggressive and insanely rude, hateful & confrontational when I called about a small problem I had. I don't think he could have been more unpleasant if I pooped in the chili. If you're like me, you're reading this and thinking "Yeah, but what did you do to set him off, Karen?". I am telling you, I did nothing. It is not in my nature. I treat people like I want to be treated. I despise drama and avoid it whenever possible. I simply asked about replacing 2 coneys that had onion on them that I had requested be left off. I started getting immediately grilled (no pun intended, but that is funny) about why I didn't call yesterday. Whenever I tried to answer, he just went on this unbelievable rant saying "How do I know those are even ours? How do I know you didn't get them somewhere else? I get a lot of people trying to pull this scam every day." and so on nonstop. I was trying to calm him down and ask him to please give me a chance to answer. When he finally did, I told him I was very busy yesterday and just did not have time. He then proceeded to lecture me about that, getting even more aggressive. I kept trying to talk, but he kept angrily interrupting me, going on without taking a breath and raising his voice to drown me out whenever I did try to interject something. I was stunned. After the call, I had to go home immediately even though I was still shopping and needed to do lunch because he was so very nasty, I had a panic attack and started shaking. To be very clear, I do not want anything. If they wanted to give me free coneys for a year I would decline because I am never going to a CI again, ever. I just want someone to check this guy out and get him calmed down before he hurts somebody. I hope they also talk to the employees. I would be willing to bet they are scared of this guy too. I have been going to CI since 1965 when my Mom took me to the original one downtown all the time. It was one of my favorite places for over 50 years & I have a lot of great memories there. I am incredibly sad that is all over. If you have any doubt about this story, I challenge you to call this CI and ask to talk to Tony about some issue. Get back to us about what your results are. Then tell CI.

J C.

Yelp
Very poor service in the drive thru. 18 minutes for food. Shorted me a coney and the guy at the drive thru swung the window open and scratched my car mirror. No sorry no thank you no nothing. 50 years of Coney Island is over or me. You guys don't care why should your customers care.

Wyatt M.

Yelp
The Coney I-Lander has coneys that always hits the spot. There isn't a guilt trip anymore as Weight Watchers movers to a new location. Wyatt M.

Yelp
My first visit to this place (41st/Yale) was less than exciting. They were 10 minutes late opening. This can kill their business. The hotdogs were not very hot, and we were the first ones there. I observed an employee enter the store from the street wearing a t-shirt. This employee put his shirt on, and went right to work, without even washing his hands. This is disgusting, especially during this pandemic. We had around 15 of us, and they would not let us use the back area with long tables. This area was also filthy. Overall, I felt the entire place was not clean. I was in food service for years, and know what they can and cannot do. If I could give this place no star, I would. They need to step up their game. Cleanliness is so mega-important. Anyone too lazy to wash their hands , does not need to work in food service. They can make someone sick with unclean hands.

Chandra S.

Yelp
Service was fast and employees were very nice. Only thing I had wrong was the food was a bit watery and bland. I got a three way with cheese so it may have been watery because of the noodles. Not bad for the price I paid but not sure I'll go back right way.

Yelp
This place is a Tulsa institution. Growing up here, I always assumed coneys were commonplace - I never knew they were so special. Once I applied some distance, I quickly realized how much of a delicacy they really were: The finely-grated cheese, the ridiculously flavorful chili (both spicy and sweet), the soft steamed bun housing a grill marked dog... It all comes together to form what us Tulsans refer to as the "coney". If you think "chili cheese dogs" and "coneys" are "pretty much the same thing", you couldn't be more wrong. There is a strict proportionality at play. First, the fundamental hot dog is small, making them super bingeable. Second, the mustard and chili are applied with a strategically-chosen spoon. I'm no scientist, but this spoon definitely prevents excessive chili, thus resulting in a perfect chili-to-hotdog ratio every single time. To close it out, the cheese is applied by hand in true salt bae form. The result is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. They are also cute and you feel like a giant when you eat them. And look, I've been to other cities known for coneys - like Cincinnati and Detroit - and nothing even comes close to these. If you're in Tulsa, you'd be a fool not to try one (or four) of these little cuties!

Destiny R.

Yelp
Brought my parents to this restaurant. My parents used to come when they first met I thought it would be cute. Unfortunately as soon as we sat down with our meal not even 5 minutes had past and a roach crawled across the table by the napkin dispenser... we immediately left.

Maice L.

Yelp
Coney I-Lander on 41st next by AMC theatre. Also, you see that cheese off the top cover chili-- too much for me. I will plan to make one like this, instead of lousy delicious they are making worse. Funny, I was stopped to eat this place in 3-4 years until right now I eat them--it was the same as I teased before, not right. The staffs are very nice people, and not good at cooking the hotdogs. The place is so much boring, and it wouldn't change like that '70s. That's what I think it would better recommend or not, either. Coney I Lander is 3.5 of 5 stars for the reason that they already poisoned me.

Joshua B.

Yelp
For what it is, this place is great! The chili for the dogs is the fine, hot dog style chili you want on a dog, with a good cumin flavor and a little heat. The onions and cheese give the hot dog a flavor that brings me back to 6th grade. It's a great, quick, and cheap eat good for quenching that junk food thirst.

Katie D.

Yelp
I know these are all franchises so they all might taste a little bit different but that's kind of a bummer because this one definitely wasn't my favorite. I can't really put my finger on why but it wasn't. I do love ponies and will definitely get them as often as I can. They have gotten a lot more expensive over the years which is kind of a bummer. And they always kind of look at me weird when I tell them I don't want chili LOL. But Coney Islander is an institution and I will continue going there until the day I die!

Tulsa Z.

Yelp
In a hurry, so did the drive through window thing. Got a small cheese frito pie with onions ($4.29) and small soft drink ($1.59). Friendly mask-wearing guy at the window. Gave him a $10 bill and said "Keep the change". Quick fix for a fast delicious meal. I've always loved their coneys which are addictive.

Jeri F.

Yelp
Went inside for to go order. Couple in front of me were not wearing mask. The gal serving coneys had her mask under her nose and you could see her mouth. Was just talking it up with unmasked couple...then she coughed. I walked out. Will not go back.

MarMe T.

Yelp
My husband & I ordered carry-out from Coney Islander near East 41st & Yale on Friday evening 9/13/19. We ordered 3 chili cheese coneys with onions & 3 with no onions. We have been enjoying Coney Islander coneys at the above location & also the East 41st & Peoria location for at least 24 years. Their coneys are great until last night. Onions were put on all 6 coneys, but what was worse, there was way too much mustard on them. We know they put a little mustard which is fine, but these had so much mustard that it over powered the hot dogs & chili. We are very disappointed!!

Hayden R.

Yelp
The best hot dogs in the State of Oklahoma [period]! I grew up eating these coneys, which are like hot dog sliders: small and packed with flavor. All Tulsa locations are great. This is a true Tulsa institution. Must get the full coney with everything on it for the full experience.

Mike M.

Yelp
We hit up Coney I-Lander based on the recommendation from our Road Food guide that said it was a landmark of the Tulsa culinary scene. It kind of makes sense why America has an obesity problem if that is, in fact, true. Coney's are tiny hot dogs (good, so far) covered in any combo of chili, cheese, and onions. You are supposed to order 2-3 of them and that should probably put you on the fast track to indigestion or calling in sick tomorrow! We additionally ordered the Frito Pie, which was true to form, but didn't really make me feel any better with the slick of chili grease dripping off the styrofoam tray. This place was interesting. I kinda liked it - my heart, belt, and wife did not.

Mosca M.

Yelp
What more could be said? If you don't know then I can't help Ya. Love every location equally but I now live less than a mile from here so this is the one for me. My new favorite past time just may getting 3 with chili, cheese & mustard to go with a side of Dr. Pepper and going to sit on the side walk out front and saying high to the folks partying at Weight Watchers next door. March bonus: $1 coneys from 5-7 on Sundays!!! They may have margin squeezes this month!!!

Randal M.

Yelp
I had my wife stop by the 41st St. location this morning and was very disappointed that the Coney I-Lander staff would not deconstruct the coneys to transport to Dallas. Super big customer service failure!!

Dav'id D. R.

Yelp
Super cheap and good! Has a nice contrast of mustard in it. It's small but pretty good. The bread is super fluffy! The only thing i was disappointed about was the fact that I got an apple pie thinking it would be a special fresh made one, but i turned out to be one that you could just get at Walmart!

Bobby D.

Yelp
Try to make to Coney Island every time I am back in Tulsa. They are always great. You get exactly what you expect. Service was great & efficient. Again, will be back next time in in Tulsa!

Richard T.

Yelp
Not really one to write reviews but this place motivated me. My wife and I went there, ordered 10 coneys. I don't like soggy chili saturated bread so since we were getting these to go, we asked if the chili could be on the side... Willing to pay a few cents extra to cover the cost of the Styrofoam container. The guy said no he could not give it on the side, "it's a liability". What? He did say we were welcome to order a bowl of chili for 4 or 5 bucks (depending on size). Really? I suppose if it's on the side, it's a " liability", if you pay several bucks though it's called a bowl and not a "liability". Right. Cancelled the order. Will say that the place is very clean though.

Courtney E.

Yelp
Mostly if you've been to one Coney I-Lander you've been to them all. And it's missing the 'S' is islander so don't confuse it with imposter coney places that have the 'S'. They are similar, but not the same company. Each location has the same 70's retro colored booths and the same menu. The only thing different is the quality of service you receive from the workers. The manager at this location has always been super friendly and most of the employees are great. Supposedly the manager holds the record for most coneys prepared by one person in a day. Pretty impressive considering how busy they can get. The menu has the same items as the other Coney I-Lander locations: Regular Coney (mustard, chili, & onions), Cheese Coney (a regular with cheese), Regular Tamale (tamale with chili & onions), Cheese Tamale (a regular with cheese), Frito Pie (available various ways), and a bowl of chili. They also carry small bags of chips, various fried pies, and mini pecan pies. The menu used to include 3 way spaghetti and a few other items, but I've never ordered anything but the coneys. Hubby and I always get the same thing which is 3 cheese coneys each and we share a bag of crunchy Cheetos. I've eaten Cheetos with my coneys since childhood, its tradition. Maybe one day I'll try a tamale; my brother speaks highly of them but he also eats tamales out of a can..... I love the chili on the coneys, and the orange shredded cheese. They always steam their buns perfectly, and the hot dogs may be small but they're grilled just right on a flat top. Great location right around the corner from AMC 20. Thankfully it's never ridiculously busy when we've gone, but I'm sure it's insane around lunch time or on the weekends. Oh and they accept the coupons that print on the back of receipts at Reasor's, which makes the coneys cheap!

James R.

Yelp
This a pretty good Coney I-lander. Not as good as the one on Admiral but I do like that it is next to the movie theatre. Service can be a little spotty but overall this isn't a bad location for that "Coney crave".

Mack M.

Yelp
Excellent tamales and of course, the coneys! As a kid, the north Tulsa Coney I-Lander was a treat on Saturdays, but I believe this one even beats that one out. When family comes back to town, we always save a lunch for Coney I-Lander!

J G.

Yelp
I've been to every location in the city when I lived there. I like this one the best. Oklahoma's only redeeming value. 5 stars!!!

Garen M.

Yelp
Went there on a Sunday evening and ordered 3 coneys. I was surprised when my bill was $3.16 - but Sunday is dollar night. Coneys are pretty good. I have long wanted to eat here and I wanted the original coney fixed in their traditional style, dog, chili, onion, cheese. If I were to go there again, I would like a little more choice on garnish - maybe some relish... It is certainly divey, but was clean, organized, and efficient.

Chrissandra F.

Yelp
It wasn't bad but not the best I have had. The hot dogs was hot but they Tasted like they have been on the grill all day long. The manager was fast and friendly but store was gross and dirty.

Starvin Marvin B.

Yelp
As you can see by the review, the coneys aren't bad. Unfortunately, I was feeling adventurous and paid the price. I made the TERRIBLE mistake of ordering 3-way chili. I had a great experience doing that at another coney place, so I thought I'd try something different. Well, this will teach me not to dance with the one who brought me. I can tolerate a certain amount of grease when eating out, but this was ridiculous. You couldn't get away from the bright orange liquid sloshing all throughout the chili sauce. I never noticed it that much when eating coneys, but that's one of the greasiest things I've ever tried to eat. It is a "you will get grease on whatever you're wearing no matter how careful you are" level of grease. And it didn't even taste good. I mean, when you get a bloomin' onion at Outback, you're going to eat a lot of grease but it's worth it because it tastes so dang good. But without a coney under it, the chili simply isn't that good, at least not on the chewy, flavorless spaghetti it was oozing on. A co-worker told me that the frito chili pie was good, and maybe the flavor from the fritos helps. I don't know, and I'm afraid to even think about it.

Randy B.

Yelp
One of my all-time favorite restaurants. There's no place like Coney I-Lander and I've missed it ever since moving away in 2004. Every time we go to or through Tulsa this is the place we stop and eat. In fact The Wife got me a gift card for Christmas and since we haven't been that direction yet this year I'm thinking of making a special trip just for coneys. This is the location where we usually stop and eat, although we also frequented the Jenks restaurant when I-44 construction was ongoing. I've been to all the others over the years, and IMHO the coneys here are the best of any of the locations in town. When I stop and order five coneys, Fritos, and a root beer, I enjoy taking a food porn photo and sending it to other coney expatriates and reveling in their jealousy. I can live with the hate as long as I have a coney in hand.

Ash G.

Yelp
Yum! Takes me back to the best parts of my childhood. Best coney on earth. Mad props to Vincent and Adrian who did a great job serving me and are sweetheart kids!

Matthew N.

Yelp
The best hotdogs in town if Jesus Christ came back and asked me to take him to lunch I would take him to Coney Islander

Diane W.

Yelp
Worst hotdog I ever had, the chili tasted like ground mush. Will never go there again

Tyrone W.

Yelp
These are the type of chili dogs I eat like I was a Conehead... Literally inhaling them because they're so good. Their chili dogs are smaller than normal, but pack an amazing amount of flavor. Sadly I live in California so I can't always eat at Coney I-Lander as much as I would like, but I definitely come by when in Tulsa. Great food, great service, great prices, great place.

Randi O.

Yelp
Best coneys ever! I refuse to ear coneys anywhere else. Always quick and always bomb. Not to mention uber cheap! I don't trust people who don't like Coney I-Lander.

Bob W.

Yelp
I am a Whore for coneys! So this is not an objective review. That said, this is the best coney I have had. All coneys are good, these are the goodest!

Dustin E.

Yelp
This location is not my favorite, because the service is always a little off...BUT, it is conveniently located right next to AMC. We usually stop in here for some coneys before taking in a movie. The food here is what you have come to expect from Coney I-Lander, and that is the important thing. Delicious little coneys packed with delicious flavor! The prices are very affordable, and you can always get in and out pretty quickly.

Allie S.

Yelp
A Tulsa staple! I grew up eating Coneys, though so I could be biased. These are wonderful! Yes, they are small, but I think that's part of their appeal...so order more if you have a big appetite. And let's be real here people - don't complain about it being greasy! No one said it was a health food joint, so just go somewhere else if that's what you're after. I usually order one or two (because one coney never made anyone fat) but my husband orders four or five. Now that we live in Texas, we eat these multiple times on our trips home. Nothing beats the chili here.

Barbra K.

Yelp
Some of these reviewers are really out of it. Coneys rock...and no, they don't have nutmeg in the chili. Hard to fathom that someone actually thought that. I like mine with everything except onions....

Michelle Y.

Yelp
Cheap, easy, perfect! I would order them without cheese! I eat about 4 during lunch. This place is super convenient with a drive thru!!

Cayse C.

Yelp
Love this place forever. The one on 11th is probably my favorite. Always get the works with extra cheese and mustard. Mmmmm.

Kevin O.

Yelp
A must-visit. Expertly-seasoned chili on these dogs that pairs great with yellow mustard, onions and Fritos. Easily on par with the great coney dogs of this nation: including the legends of Detroit/Southeastern Michigan and south Brooklyn. This location is one of the old Tulsa coney joints run by an interrelated group of Greek-American families. A true gem.

Olivia D.

Yelp
So I had to stop and breathe on this one... this was also another suggestion by a friend a bff if you may... Although I did think about revolking her rights as bff after eating here. lol So here is the review.. its def a dive. Small hole in the wall. Cheap. Probably a good place to take your grandma to. You can get a crap load of chili dogs for super cheap. That is if you like nutmeg in your chili or meat sauce or whatever you want to call it. . Which i dont. It has to be the worst thing or atleast on the top ten list of places i dislike. NUTMEG DOES NOT BELONG IN CONEY ... but that is my opinion. If you do go here. Get a plain ole hot dog leave that chili/meatsauce out of it. Id suggest if you want a good hot dog. Go to fat guys burgers they have great food.

Scott M.

Yelp
I had to do a review here to get the ratings up. Best coneys on the planet. The place is a bit of a dive I'll agree there, but you haven't had a coney until you've had a Coney-I-Lander.

Charlie Y.

Yelp
There are a few of these in the area. I usually go to the one in Broken Arrow, but was by this one at lunch time. Same awesome coney at both locations. Consumption of food here does lead to later indigestion, but it's worth it every once in awhile. Obviously this place isn't the healthiest place to eat, but that's that's not going to lessen my rating.
