Coney Star Halal Kitchen

While I absolutely love Chicken Over Rice at this restaurant, I can’t help but feel that we’re spending a bit too much on a small portion of food. Even with delivery, it’s $17, and the container is barely filled. On one occasion, my order was mixed up with Gyro.

I was excited to see a Halal Kitchen in the area. I been there twice since 1rst hearing the news of this location. I look forward to trying several items on the menu. So far so good. Keep it up. 😋👌🏾

We tried NY lamb and chicken style gyro over rice. It was tasty and of good value. Good for midnight and early morning cravings considering it’s open 24 hours.

Great prices, food, and customer service. The sweet nice lady was great! The food came out quick and fresh!

We were craving some greasy street style food so we thought to give this Halal Coney Island a shot. First of all, the food was beyond our expectations. I got a turkey burger and naga dog and my husband got a chicken tikka over rice. 10/10 for EACH DISH. This is now my go to spot now for Detroit. The menu has everything from nachos to breakfast. The staff is very friendly and know their menu well. The restaurant is very clean and you can tell they take pride in their business. Definitely a hidden gem.

I like the owners in there. It's always cooking. He's always active with the customers and tells the customers about good deals or good food he's got. I love that place I drive from Wayne, Michigan stopping there all the time

I visit to try their "naga burger" , it was so delicious.. and their service was good.. specialy the Bengali sister work their was amazing server.

Great place to eat food is fantastic this my to go place love the bacon cheeseburgers with the onion rings very clean neat and respectable place for friends and family overall very impressed

Detroit does not play when it comes to Coney! Coney Star is top-tier! I have enjoyed everything I've ordered from there! i highly recommend it.

Meat is undercooked, somethin told me to tear it in half and I'm glad I did I like coney star food is good but yall gotta do better

Naga chicken wings my favorite. Good people and good service. They open 24h so especially getting out from work midnight you can find these people ready to serve you.

An excellent addition to Banglatown! Star Coney opened recently as the only coney in the area that is fully halal, joining only a couple of others anywhere in Metro Detroit. Even better, Star is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which has become a rare and precious thing now that COVID has flung our dining options back by 25 years. (Star had more limited hours when they first opened and were ramping up, but are now at full 24/7 operation.) I stopped by with two friends late on a Saturday night after celebrating's a friend's birthday down the street in Hamtramck. Star's parking lot was brightly lit and is near a high-traffic intersection (Conant & Davison), and the lobby/dining room inside is also brightly lit even late at night. They have a big and diverse menu, even compared to most other coneys. You'll find most of the expected standards here -- breakfast plates, omelettes, and sandwiches; burgers and hot sandwiches; coney dogs; fried appetizers. But there's also quite a few dishes not found at other coneys: chicken wings; burgers, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches made with naga pepper sauce; chicken tikka sandwiches; but perhaps best of them all are five different kinds of egg rolls, which are large and well-stuffed. I had loaded hashbrowns, chicken tikka egg rolls, and a naga dog. My tablemates had Philly steak egg rolls, a burger, and a breakfast sandwich. We were all happy with everything we got, and I'll gladly go back again even when it's not a post-bar stop. Glad to have you in the neighborhood, Star!

Had the late night cravings the other day and found this gem open at 2am. Drove down here and got some naga wings and bbq wings. Have to say was pleasantly surprised how great the naga wings were! I will definitely be back for more. Coney star is open 24/7 and has a dine in seating area.

The food here is banging! Must try all the eggrolls, especially corn beef one. 100% halal and will be open 24 hours. Finally, the community needed this!
