Google
I tried here the Francesinha and Bifanas sandwiches, both were amazing. This place is kinda popular for tourists but also locals, when I asked some people for recommendations about the best place to get bifanas all of them told me about this one. It's always crowed but it's big so you don't have to wait to much. If Francesinha is too big, if you're two you can share it ✌️😊

Google
Needed a quick lunch and was told that this place has the most authentic bifana. Was seated immediately, the food came quickly and the sandwich was delicious. A little spicy and very moist! Sandwich and beer was less than €6. Great deal!

Google
First time trying a bifana and now I totally get the hype. From the photos, I expected the bread to be hard, but it was super soft and soaked in that juicy, spicy, slightly vinegary pork sauce — absolutely delicious. The flavors were bold and addictive; I could easily eat three in one sitting. Also tried the quail with spicy sauce — surprisingly amazing too. Simple, flavorful, and just so satisfying. Conga knows what they’re doing!

Google
The bifana’s were so good, very tasty and a little bit spicy! We absolutely loved it, it was dripping in goodness. When we’re coming back to Porto we will definitely make another stop here! Very fast and kind service

Google
Came here the second time during our stay in Porto. We have tried three other kinds of Bifanas in Portugal, 2 in Lisbon and one in Coimbra, this one has better balance of flavours, the bun was a little bit chewy and a bit too soft at the bottom to me though, especially after soaking in the gravy. If the bun could be little bit crustier, that would be my perfect bifana.

Tom Rataj

Google
Came here for the famous Bifana sandwich. It didn't disappoint. Tender and juicy Pork in a medium spicy broth on a simple white flour roll.

Google
Porto-style bifanas done right: drenched in rich, spicy sauce and even better with cheese. Juicy, flavorful, and addictive. No frills, just honest food and friendly, efficient service. It’s the “House of Bifanas” and delivers exactly that. Perfect for any occasion—quick bite, full meal, solo or with friends. If you’re in Porto, you have to stop by Conga.

Google
I was told about this place by many people as the one with the best Bifanas in the city. Honestly, the place is nice, nothing special, was nice too, same with service. Not great, but not bad as well. Soup I would not recommend, it has no taste. Generally, I would recommend this place for nice Bifanas and quick bite.

Yelp
A popular bifanas spot in the heart of downtown Porto. We were told the owners at Conga claim to have invented the dish--can't say for sure if that's true, but the bifanas were incredibly tasty and only €3-4! The buns were soft and perfectly soaked in the sauce. It's a busy place, so expect a wait, but if you don't mind standing, grab a spot at the bar or get it to go. They were so delicious, I ran over and grabbed 3 more to go before catching our train on the last day.

Yelp
Great food at the Conga place. They do not have AC so it can be pretty hot. The service was prompt and courteous. The Bifanha was very delicious. It is a little spicy. I would return.

Yelp
Holy flavor! This place was seen by us on socials and we thought we'd try it. We lucked out and got there right at noon and avoided the crowd that showed up right behind us. The small sandwich was less than 4€ and was perfect for a light lunch along with fries. The fries were less than ideal but the sandwich was divine. No cheese please just juicy tender pork and saucy sauce! So good! We were seated on the third floor in a small vertical restaurant with several landings. Service was decent. I don't speak Portuguese and was able to communicate pretty well. I'll get back there often!! So should you

Yelp
BEST bifana in Portugal! I know people say that a lot but seriously, out of the 4 places we tried bifana sandwiches, this one held the #1 spot. There was a long line but we were so lucky to be able to walk straight in on a food tour. The meat was so juicy and tender. The bread was dense enough to stand up to the sauce but not too crunchy and melted really nicely around the pork for the perfect bite. We found this bifana to be more flavorful and way less dry compared to others we tasted. After they load the bun with slow cooked pork, they dip the whole sandwich into the gravy and that was the perfect touch. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is a vibe. We walked in on a Thursday night. Stood at the counter. Got a couple super bocks. Got a couple bifanas and enjoyed ourselves. Bifanas were just as good as the places in Lisbon. People working were so nice. Just a great local scene. You must go

Yelp
I stopped by Conga in Porto for a couple of meals. In terms of food, I tried their Bifani (regular and with cheese) - Regular: 9.5/10: Juicy, crunchy slices of pork with really food flavour and spice level. Affordable so definitely a value item - With cheese: 9/10: The cheese overwhelmed the original spice a bit...

Yelp
Ohhhh Dayam! If there is a better bite anywhere I have not n had it. Delectable, delicious, delightful, d...??? Ok it's damn good! Portuguese slider? Succulent slice pork roast swimming in all that spicy beer onions garlic etc.. I'd swim in that caldron and die happy! So B slap me if I decide to do to mciddies or BK. This is Portuguese fast food on steroids. Quick fast service, ample clean upstairs seating area. And cold super bock. If that's my last meal on earth I'd die a blissfully happy hombre!

Yelp
This place was recommended on many videos. They were not wrong the Bifanas here are made of thinly shaved pork which sits in a slightly spicy broth. So the pork has a little kick to it and the bread soakes up some of the sauce so it's best to eat it fresh. The meat is soft and tender and has a nice flavor the bread is soft and flavorful from the sauce but has a nice texture so eat them asap. There's 2 lines one on the left for eating in which they'll sit you in the back or the line to the left you can get for take away or I believe you can just eat th eat there at the bar. The sandwiches go very well with a beer. Service was quick and efficient. A bifana and a small beer will run you around 5€ I'm told the caldo verde (green soup) is also good. It's a potato soup with thinly sliced collard greens or some kind of green leafy vegetable. On of my top places to eat in Porto

Yelp
What a great decision to come for lunch! The bifana's are all that. The service is fast and this multi floor establishment is well organized. I enjoyed a nice SuperBock lager to wash it down.
google avatar

Mel T.

Yelp
From the outside looking in, it doesn't seem like much and looks small. However, once you go inside, there's actually an extra floor with an additional dining area. My family (party of 6) were on our own mini food crawl and trying some restaurants in the area. We came in on a Monday at around 5:30 and it wasn't too busy (I imagine the Portugues probably eat later, like many other European countries). We ordered one bifana with cheese and one without. I thought it was just okay. I liked the meat, which was tender but the cheese wasn't it. Maybe it's because it wasn't melty enough. The bread was also a bit too soggy. But the Super Bock stout I tried was good and a nice complement to the sammie. There's another bifana place kind of closeby which I prefer but if you're in the area, need a quick bite, it's convenient to just grab one from the counter downstairs.

Jonathon J.

Yelp
The Bifana here was amazing! There was a bit of a wait, but it was definitely worth it. The soft bread, the tasty sauce and the tender tender meat. I had it with fries and a a couple of nice cold Super Bocks. Highly recommended!

Zach W.

Yelp
Tasty. Quick and inexpensive. The bifana sandwich should take over America. Locals and tourists were all over this place.

Yelp
I hesitated coming in bc this place was giving off fast food vibes...but we did anyway bc I wanted to try a Bifana. I got the traditional one with cheese. It was very flavorful and not at all spicy (thankfully). I don't think I would come back, I like more quaint restaurants. But the food came out fast, super hot, and it was good. Maybe it is a fast food type of place? I didn't check. Not to mention their prices are very nice too!

Yelp
Tasty, fast, and cheap. #TakeMyMoney If a USA franchise Conga Bifanas chain starts, I'm in for a seed round. Visited based on the recommendation of our tour guide. Conga is a Porto institution after 40+years of service. It's worth the visit to understand why. Don't hesitate at the bustling and dive/pub vibe on the front, nor the line to get in. It's three stories of grinding on great, simple food. The bifanas are sliced pork, soaked in a mildly spicy soup, in a white bun, and with some cheese if you opt. Doesn't blow you away on appearance, but kiss-your-sweetheart its yummers. Since it was cold and rainy, we also had the Caldo Verde (sp?), which is a soup with potatoes, collard greens, and one piece of sausage. The crew is close-knit and hustling on the service-- one looks like Mr. Bean's brother. Everyone but us was also drinking Super Bock, which is apparently the top beer in Portugal. Another plus: $22 for the full meal for two. I'd be so fat if one was close by.

Yelp
Just go. This place is the pork version of the Italian beef without any peppers or onions, but with a little kick. Super delicious pork Santo that will leave you coming back for me.
google avatar

Yelp
We visited Conga on a food tour of Porto. This restaurant is really worth your visit. It can seem a little daunting as you approach. Many locals stop at Conga for a quick lunch. There are two lines - a takeout line and a line for those who would like a table. There is also a ton of seating upstairs that you can't see from the entry. It's a busy and rather loud restaurant filled with the bustle of working folks grabbing a quick bite. Our server was wonderful! A "bifana" is a pork sandwich closely resembling an American barbecue sandwich. But, the flavor is VERY different and delicious. Bifanas are like Portuguese fast food. The sandwiches are dipped in a delicious sauce. We enjoyed ours with a Super Bock. We would DEFINITELY go again. So yummy!

Yelp
Great local spot for a Bifana. After trying several Bifana spots in Lisbon, we were curious to see if Porto's were as good. They are. Very tasty & flavorful.
google avatar

Yelp
Bifana is a popular sandwich in Portugal, and this is the spot to get it in Porto. It's sliced pork sandwich, but unlike any deli pork sandwiches in the United States. The pork is stewed in a spicy tomato sauce. You can see this through the front windowsill. The portion size is perfect for a big snack, and two sandwiches is adequate for a filling meal. I also had a vegetable soup and pineapple soda here, which were decent as well. Overall, I think this is my favorite lunch spot in Porto: quick, affordable, and delicious.

Justin M.

Yelp
Best bifana sandwiches in Porto! Don't forget the olives. Order with or without cheese. You won't be disappointed.

Gordon ..

Yelp
This place is surprisingly good. Bifanas is delicious. So you are in Porto, please go try this place. You won't regret it. Line is long around lunch hours.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Came here early around 7 and there was no line. Lots of options for bifanas (pork sandwiches), but the meat wasn't super tender. Also the sauce was slightly too spicy for me. My boyfriend loved the quail. The meat was yummy, but on the small side. Not the nicest ambience (kinda small and similar to fast food style).
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
This was my favorite restaurant in Porto. Not only was everything reasonably priced, it was so delicious making me want more. My favorite is their spicy bifanas. The spice really kicks in and the pork is so flavorful. Why can't we have this sandwich in NY? Then, what surprised me was the francesina. I thought I had the top one from peoples recommendation, who would have thought this place actually had the best one. The fried quail was too underpriced for its worth. The green cabbage soup was flavorful. Please give me a couple more cana since it was cheaper than drinking water. Definitely recommend this as a must stop place.

Yelp
Bifanas are sandwiches that consist of spicy pork steak stuffed inside a bread roll. Conga was recommended by our host for the place to go for bifana. I did not have bifana at other restaurants, so I can't compare, but the bifana at Conga was quite tasty. The restaurant is fairly large. At the front, you can order to go, which is what I did. There is also a sit down restaurant. They have a ton of wait staff, which is convenient because Conga is busy! For €2, we received our bifana and were on our way. The bifana is quite small, but is packed full of flavor. The bread roll is quite soft and does an excellent job of soaking up the juices from the pork. The pork was tender and juicy. It was also quite spicy, but it definitely added to the flavor. In just a few bites, the bifana was gone. Definitely come by Conga for a bifana if you're looking for a quick bite.

Yelp
One of my favourite places in Porto... Actually maybe in all of Portugal! I still crave the bifanas (2EUR each!) and the papa soup. Amazing food at amazing prices, it's definitely a must try for everyone in Porto. Bifanas here are different than the rest of Portugal - they're soft and come in slices rather than in one big piece, and they are a little spicy. I haven't been able to find another place that makes it as well as this. Come here, order a beer, two bifanas and the soup and you won't regret it!
google avatar

Garry B.

Yelp
My favorite bifana. As long as you're ok with a little spicy. They are amazing. Very attentive. If you order french fries it's enough for 3-4 people. Great quick service. I would highly recommend this place. Yummy
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Wow Wow Wow You may have to wait a bit for a table at Conga but that's a sure indication that the food is great. Can't recommend enough. Crowded, noisy, but authentic Porto cuisine. Popular with locals and tourists alike with reasonable prices. Order a bowl of PAPAS À CONGA to start and follow with a BIFANA. Wash it down with an icy cold beer. HEAVEN!

Susan L.

Yelp
Came here based on hotel and tour guide recommendations. We wanted a simple lunch of bifana sandwich. We ordered the sandwich with cheese, and it did not disappoint. A note of caution: a sandwich is a little spicy, and we asked for the sauce on the side, but I am sure the waiter didn't understand.
google avatar

Canny F.

Yelp
So Bifana is a must try? I came here based on recommendations from a tour guide as well as yelp reviews and it was very interesting. The pork was thinly sliced and it boiled in a soup/broth. The pork was not bland like it looked sandwiched in the roll. When I took my first bite, I made the face of why is this a must try..then I continue to consume it and bam. The taste kicks in and I start to appreciate this tiny sandwich. The sauce made a huge difference. I'm not sure what the sauce was but it definitely gave it a kick. Guess they say not to judge based on first impressions - take more bites! Overall, this was great for a simple snack. Service was fast and workers are friendly.

Eileen B.

Yelp
DO NOT miss this place! The Bifanas are delicious with the perfect spice; and service is wonderful with friendly staff. Just wish we would've discovered it sooner during our stay in Porto.
google avatar

Yelp
Doing some research on the best Bifana in Porto, I found Conga. Their bifanas resemble of a french dip but served at the speed of a taco shop in LA. Upon arrival one of the cooks noticed me just standing at the door. He acknowledged me and told me to find a seat that I wished. A waiter came and handed me a menu. Since I already knew what I wanted I ordered before having a seat. Within a couple of mins, I got my ordered sitting right in front of me. Compared to other places that serve bifana, Conga's are a little smaller but only cost 2 EUR. They are dipped in sauce to add flavor and change the texture of the bread. I was impressed on how something small can be so enjoyable. I almost asked for another one but since I was on my foodie way, I had to resist. Along with the bifana was washed down with a Super Bock Stout x2. Was goood. VERDICT: Rinse and repeat.
google avatar

Yelp
On a culinary mission to experience the best bifana... Conga is a pretty good option. We had the aforementioned bifana, an excellent tripe soup, and we also got a chance to experience bread sausage for the first time (the history of which is truly interesting if you have a chance to research it). All with excellent service (though non-English speaking) and warm and friendly smiling faces all-around. We enjoyed eating here as much as they appeared to enjoy having us.
google avatar

Kedar V.

Yelp
Pretty good bifana sandwich, get a Super Bock and fries with it too (comes out to about 5 eur).

Shirley L.

Yelp
The environment is clean and comfortable. I came to get a bifana and I was very happy with it. It came out really hot and I like how it's a little spicy. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a place to try a bifana in Porto.
google avatar

Irene B.

Yelp
For a snack bar, you can't beat this place. 2 euro bifanas and a good selection of wine and beer to wash it down. Service is quick. We were craving bifanas the rest of our vacation. If we come back, this is a must have.
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
People come here for a bifana special which is a slightly spicy, thinly sliced pork meat, long stewed in a vat of sauce, hot sandwich. At first bite I thought it was nothing special as the flavors seemed very light. But as you progressed it got better and better as my nose began to sweat. Before I knew it, I wanted another one. When I asked what the locals usually drink with it, he said "beer" with a smile, mind you, its still 9:30am. I go ahead and order it with the beer and it really is the beverage of choice to drink with this sandwich. Sure enough, locals come in and they are all ordering the same sandwich with a side of beer.
google avatar

Kuchenlover B.

Yelp
Great, down-to-earth place if you want to eat some traditional Bifanas. They also have other burgers and intersting creations. The place is always very busy with lots of local folks. You cannot help feeling the special mood that this place emanates: it's kind of like a mixture between a really cosy local restaurant and a rough fast-food joint. Recommended for a yummy snack, in the middle of a busy sightseeing tour through Porto.

C L.

Yelp
Great pork sandwich, similar to a Wet French dip but with pork. Nice alternative when you want something besides fish!
google avatar

Alex O.

Yelp
We came here for lunch and it was a delight! Don't expect the service to be top notch -- it's a family restaurant kind of place where food is cheap and service is quick. We had two types of soup -- Caldo Verde (traditional Portuguese Kale Soup) and a thick pork soup -- both were fabulous! We also ordered a francesinha (a Porto staple) and a bifana. Both of them were delicious! Be sure to order a beer or a cider to wash down the food!
google avatar

Sunny K.

Yelp
Great for lunch and dinner. Enough space for big group which is not common in many place here ;) Good!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Best pork sandwiches with spicy sauce in Porto!! Almost like a pulled pork sandwhich. A must get in Porto! The sandwich are tasty, super flavorful small on soft fresh Portuguese buns. My husband and I split one but then we ended up getting a second one because it was so good. So please just come here and order your OWN sandwich. It is not that big and it is super tasty.
google avatar

Jeanette L.

Yelp
Looking for a place that offers a great deal for bomb food?! Look no further than Conga! They literally have everything you'd like to try when in Porto. The location itself is easy to find too. We came here with a group of 6 and each one of us left extremely happy and satisfied. The service was good and our server was more than happy to help us and answer any questions we had. I cant remember everything we ordered but the bifanas, francesinha, and tripe were all delicious. Overall I would highly recommend this place when visiting Porto. You cant go wrong with a bifana and beer at Conga :)
google avatar

Floris V.

Yelp
A decent place for an afternoon's pork or chicken snack. We enjoyed some quail as well!

Adam R.

Yelp
I don't eat meat. I ate a sandwich here and then I had a second. The pork is cooked in a Spivey beer Sauce Yumm!!!
google avatar

Nelma G.

Yelp
This place is very cool!! It serves its purpose...it's there to serve Portuguese fast food and it does it very well!!! The service is very fast and the staff super friendly. Don't ever feel scared of walking in if you see a lot of people inside or if there's a line! Usually it moves very quickly and the staff is very efficient. The bifanas are simply delicious and the prices are great. I only think that they could have done a better job with the presentation of the space but....the food really compensates the down sides of the spot! If you are in Porto you have to come here and have 2 bifanas and a super bock!

Negar F.

Yelp
Cheap but not that good! Food and service were mediocre. It did not appear to be all that clean either.

Catherine R.

Yelp
Went back a second time because we couldn't get our craving satisfied otherwise. Friendly, busy but never a wait for a table, delish. And a bargain to boot. Botinhas are addictive of course but their version of francesinha is also very good.
google avatar

Lola B.

Yelp
Fabulous biffanas...strongly recommended by two locals so we had to try. They're small, packed full of flavor and easy to eat! Last the hot dog topped with pork was delicious, along with cold beers to wash it down. Even the green vegetable soup had chorizo in it! Its in between the main square and the open market, great location. Spacious restaurant, clean facilities, and at least one person spoke English. I would definitely go back! Come prepared with cash. Also, no WiFi.
google avatar

Al-Ex C.

Yelp
Good as shit ! Meat was disgusting and waiters unpolite. I don't recommend this restaurant
google avatar

Yelp
For fast food, the bifana special is as good as it gets: fast, delicious, cheap, and filling. The spicy awesomeness just explodes in your mouth!
