This lobster grilled cheese was just what I needed! Hit real nice! Tasted fantastic! Bread was good and no complaints at all!

Google
Its tough to rate this place individually. Congdons itself is a great place. The donuts are famous and they don't lose a step when it comes to their after dark stand. The atmosphere for congdons after dark is great too. People come with their families and dogs. The live music is a great touch. The food from the trucks is a sticking point for me though. A lot of items come out to around $20 and for what you get its just not worth it. The better strategy would probably have been to just get drinks and donuts and eat elsewhere.

Google
Very fun. The trucks change daily so be sure to check. Not impressed with my hotdogs. Only had ketchup and mustard, no onions, toppings of any kind. Be sure to check out Congdons donuts. Line starts to form by 6.30 am.

Google
Such a fun venue, something for almost everyone, multiple trucks give you lots of food options. Yrucks not always the same. Live music, people laughing and great for families. Just be careful you might eat way too much. And go when the weather makes the venue even more enjoyable.

Google
My family went to Congdon’s Food Truck park for the first time on Father’s Day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Lots of varying food options including spirits and their own Raspberry Jelly Donut IPA in collaboration with Mast Landing (a must try!!) We will be back for sure!

Google
We were gonna go out to dinner at a nice restaurant but when arrived and saw the food trucks we quickly changed our minds just because we love food trucks. Stopped by all the trucks to see what they had and ended up going to Bubba Frye's On The Fly got the Memphis Chicken Sandwich daughter got the Chicken and Waffles. Both sandwiches were great so big that we couldn't finish it all. Then we got fries from Knew Potato Caboose got the Little Red Rooster which consisted of fries, Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, Bacon, Ranch and Scallions piled on high so good. We were definitely not disappointed on our decision.

Google
Terra Firma is hands down & simply the best healthy food truck there!

Google
It was such a fun venue, and the food was amazing!! The beverage trailer is great. Perfect dinner before the show at Ogunquit Playhouse.

Yelp
This has become such a summer iconic spot for Wells! There's a wonderful rotating variety of food trucks throughout the summer. You can check which trucks are there by visiting the Facebook CAD page. On a regular basis though is a bar booth and Congdon's donuts (the perfect dessert or with drinks just because). There are multiple picnic tables, lighting and music played over speakers at just the right volume.

Yelp
This review is for MacDaddy's Seafood and Tots food truck. Although we aren't newbies to Congdon's Donuts, we've never stopped in for the After Dark. This was our first time. At first look, it's what you would expect going to an event with food trucks. Expect lines, expect a wait. Be patient but most importantly be kind. They are all doing their best out here. Back to MacDaddy's. We ordered the chicken tenders, pulled pork tots, and a lobster roll. I will say the pulled pork tots were the star of the show here. It was LOADED with pulled pork. Far from being dry. It was really good. The chicken tenders and the lobster roll were just ok. Good but I would go back solely for the pulled pork tots.

Yelp
This is an awesome place tho stop. Young people, music, variety of food trucks. Food was great.

Yelp
Came to Congdon's after spending the evening at the beach! Really met DOG FRIENDLY setup where we took our 2 dogs for supper. Live music was pleasant and overall wasn't too busy! The donuts even at 7:45 were still soft (4/6 of them) and fresh tasting! Donuts are a PRICEY! ($16.50 for 6, $33 for 13) I had an amazing smash burger here with waffle fries from the food trucks and it was really good! Overall definitely was a neat place I'd come back too! If you found this review helpful let me know! Thanks!

Yelp
Honestly we got there and I was not really sure if I was going to be impressed or if I was going to leave hungry. There are multiple different food trucks. There is plenty of parking. I really thoroughly enjoy all the different types of food trucks and that they are just in one bake circle so you can Go to as many as you want. The people at the food trucks were super nice and we got the french fries with the gravy and that was absolutely delicious that we went back and got One more. We also got some dumplings from the Thai truck that were delicious as well and the lady was super nice and actually only charged us for another small because we went back and got more of those as well. It really was a very fun environment with the singing and lots of people just hanging out at picnic tables. I'll be back

Yelp
If you like waiting in lines this is the place for you!!! And after waiting to order for 20 minutes you get to wait for your food by standing within earshot of the truck for another 20 minutes. All the trucks should implement vibrating disc systems like they use for restaurants. Because what's ends up happening is you wait apart from the group you came to spend time with for 40 minutes. And you have to repeat this for every truck! At least you have pleasant live music to listen to while you wait. That said, the food was pretty good! Tried three or four of the trucks.
google avatar

Yelp
Many different food trucks. Night we went had; seafood, pizza, Thai, Mexican, French fries. Alcohol, crepes and burgers (Beer, wine and mixed drinks (limited variety/local)). A bit pricey, but nice weather to eat outside and enjoy the singer that entertained. We got seafood. Haddock was good, scallops were overcooked and dripping with oil. Best thing we ate were the tater tots! Something different to do, but much better food at the restaurants in Wells/Ogunquit.

Yelp
There's a good amount of choice when it comes to this small "food truck" venue - I tried a few different offerings but I just wasn't thrilled with the cost to flavor/amount ratio. Inflated prices for sure. Service was good, granted you order and they call your number, so not much to review there! Overall, a pretty neat spot, however with the crushed stone everywhere I watched a person struggle pretty hard with a wheelchair to get back out of the eating area with her S/O. I think if I were to go back, it would be to try something I really wanted - or, have another cute date night.

Robert T.

Yelp
Best donuts anywhere! Also muffins and doggie donuts for pet. Staff extremely friendly and efficient!

Yelp
wells maine, phenomenal place. bbq betty's smokehouse, not phenomenal... at all. please don't waste your money or appetite. very poorly executed. we couldn't eat a quarter of the meal. brisket- overcooked & sooooo dry. cornbread- straight out of a jiffy box. the mac n cheese was worse than kraft from a box, there was no trace of flavor or cheese. it was a 0/10. whoever is in charge of bringing in food trucks, please take them out of that spot. incredibly dissatisfying.

Mike S.

Yelp
Absolutely a relaxing and entertaining evening. The food from the trucks was okay, albeit expensive, the selection was inviting. $20-22 for a wrap is indicative of our current economy and a wee bit ridiculous. The talent entertaining this evening was a one man guitar player with a fantastic personality and the chops to go with it. The place stayed busy and the clientele were enjoying themselves. A great way to spend an evening in Wells.

Yelp
Great concept, poor execution. If you want overpriced crap to eat, go no further. Crap offerings at high prices to eat at sticky picnic tables while you slap at mosquitoes. Bon apatite! Avoid this food truck slum and go to a REAL restaurant with real food choices at fair prices for the quality you'd expect. There are plenty of great places, many within walking distance, that will surpass anything offered here. If you found this review helpful, please tap the thumbs up to let me know. Thanks.

Yelp
Love love love Congdon's After Dark! Whenever I'm in Wells, Maine, I make sure to stop by Congdon's for their doughnuts and breakfast, but was super excited when Congdon's After Dark opened up. This little set up reminds me of NYC in the summer. There are random food trucks every night, so you don't get bored. Honestly, I've never tried a dish I did not enjoy here. My friends and I love getting a bunch of dishes to share, so we could sample food from every truck. The seafood truck is one of my favorites of course. I mean we are in Maine after all. Food is always fresh, flavorful, and very well priced. I also always get the honey beer that comes with a munchkin on the rim. Such a cute little touch. If you love good food, live music, and friendly people, then this is the place for you. Now go check this place out. You will love it!

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place serendipitously while driving around on a trip to Ogunquit, and I am SO glad we did. Like 'Hey there's some food trucks - let's check it out'. They were just opening (around 4), so it was uncrowded. When we drove by later at night, it was jamming. There was a good variety of trucks to choose from, and most had at least some vegetarian offerings. We ended up at Cheese Louise, and, holy moley! Most flavorful grilled cheese I ever had. IDK what they put on it, but it had so much flavor! There is also a beer/drink truck, where we got refreshing frozen vodka lemonades. Great food and drinks, fun, casual atmosphere. Definitely stop here if you get the chance.

Yelp
All food trucks had something good to offer . So organized and fairly priced. Our kids love it

Yelp
Updating review to add photos from our visit on 8/30/20 - FANTASTIC as always. (Not sure that update posted from last year... and now here I am with more pics from 7/31/21... Hoss & Mary's - "East Meats West" in a wrap - da bomb as always!! Their coffee cake was a yummy treat as well!!

Yelp
Love Congdons... But we went at 6 thinking "after dark" would mean after 4. Crazy busy, which is Great for them. 4-4:30 is the time to come here though

Julie P.

Yelp
I love it! It's the best place in the whole entire world for donuts. If you had a great time there, get the yelp app and review it too!
google avatar

Judy A.

Yelp
We went here to celebrate a birthday. So many food trucks. We had decide ahead of time to eat at Hoss and Mary's. Everything they make is hot and delicious! And the portions are huge! So many choices. Cheeseburgers built sky high, wraps and hot fries! Oh, and do yourself a favor and order a slice or two of homemade cheesecake and coffee cake!

Yelp
Food trucks are the newish trend in the Portland food scene, with many growing so big that they end up having their own restaurants. There are some really great, innovating food trucks out there, however, sometimes it can be hard to find them as they tend to be all over the place. Segue to Congdon's After Dark... Congdon's is a well-established donut/breakfast place in Wells, and in the Summer months they host what is called Congdon's After Dark. At Congdon's, there are a variety of food trucks that line up and look to serve patrons. The food trucks range in what is served as far as food, and the line up of food trucks change daily. There is enough of a balance that there are food trucks for actual dinner, but also some trucks that are devoted to desserts. Congdon's, naturally, has their own food truck that is always there serving fresh donuts, though the menu is limited. Congdon's also has a spot where they serve a variety of local craft beers in bottles and on draft, as well as some cocktail options. They also showcase local talent with live music. I generally appreciate Condon's After Dark for what it does; showcase the local food trucks that have become popular in the food scene. My only con? It can definitely get really expensive. The drinks can be pricey, as can the food. It's easy to leave here at least dropping $30 for food and a drink. However, like I said, I love that it's exposing great food trucks in one place.

Yelp
Took some family visiting from out of town. This was a fun time. Live music outdoor environment. Nice variety of rotating food trucks and regular features. Be sure to check the weather and the website before heading out - weather may cancel the daily event. We spend on average about $40 per person. Might do it again, sometime.

Yelp
What seems like close to a dozen different food trucks every night in the parking lot of Congdans Doughnut Shop.......is sure to have a little something for everyone. The trucks rotate on a regular basis which I think is a great idea because it gives you and the people you came with an opportunity to step a little out of your comfort zone and give something new a try. They do a pretty nice job of setting the parking lot up around all the vendors.......and there's plenty of picnic table style seating in a middle area and more benches off to the sides. So my suggestion......give an item or 2 a try from a truck that you may not be totally familiar with that style of cuisine........and you just might accidentally stumble upon you new favorite food. Best of luck to everyone in their search!

Yelp
This is how food truck parks are supposed to be! Great atmosphere, different choices, families and young people just enjoying a great evening! We sampled Knew Potato Caboose, What a Wrap, Fahrenheit 225 BBQ, and MacDaddys. All were fabulous, service great and prices reasonable. Good drinks and beer selection (although they couldn't make a martini or Manhattan-but hey, those don't seem like food truck drinks)
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
What a cool place! There is something for everyone here: burgers, wraps, pasta, bbq, desserts, drinks.. you name it! Fun Oldies are blaring on the speaker while you enjoy your meal. Grab a hula-hoop or play a round of cornhole before you go. Enjoy classic cars on Mondays. We will definitely be returning.
google avatar

Missy T.

Yelp
Super fun! Came here with some folks from work and had a nice time. It was crazy busy and only Wednesday so I can't imagine what the weekend is like here....would keep that in mind for future visits. Not much parking, grass parking for four wheel drive only. A lot of food to choose from and rotating food truck schedule. Definitely coming back again to try Falafel Mafia when they are on the schedule and the Honey Dip beer in the beer garden!
google avatar

Michelle O.

Yelp
I have been a few times and I appreciate that it is different every time we go. The one GF staple is Knew Potato Caboose. Really wish that there were more options.
google avatar

Jon S.

Yelp
Lots of food trucks and variety. Son got pizza, daughter loaded tots, wife a wrap and I got fried haddock. So many options and so many great trucks. It was windy and there is some seating in the beer garden. Great way to try local food and not have long waits.
google avatar

Gary A.

Yelp
Always good options from the food trucks, but unfortunately they close before dark... when in vacation we tend to eat later and always seem miss out on this venue. One more hour would be perfect.
google avatar

Cameron G.

Yelp
It is food truck heaven! You should be able to find something fun! The Irish wrap was excellent

Marcus L.

Yelp
It's a must do when in Wells. There is a good selection of trucks. Live music and an open bar add to the experience. Would be nice to have a Mexican and Italian truck there.
google avatar

Cozy P.

Yelp
It's coolieo and fun for eating fooooooood and bringing a dawg ..............................................................
google avatar

Tiara W.

Yelp
Great place to check out the many different food options in the area! It gets very busy so keep in mind that wait times might be a bit long. I've found going later in the evening is the better option. *Weather permitting, so make sure to have a back up plan in case the weather isn't favorable.
google avatar

Elizabeth F.

Yelp
This is awesome it's like a parade of Food Trucks it's great all combinations of choices from pizza to wraps to BBQ ribs and Mac and cheese. Beer and wine is also served. Congdon's Donuts and ice cream is also served! So far I have taken a picture of every truck we have tried. I will try to post all food pictures.
google avatar

Sharon D.

Yelp
Good hot dogs anyway you want and hand cut fries again anyway you want. About ten trucks there with everything from Thai to lobster rolls. Beer and drinks as well. Lots of families Very casual. Worth stopping
google avatar

Alexis H.

Yelp
Awesome line up of food trucks!! And the cocktails were great!! Such a good vibe I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Karen B.

Yelp
Pulled pork Mac and cheese!!! This place is amazing. Phenomenal food. Very clean. Spectacular service. Different trucks all the time. fat kid eating it up.. awesomest place!! Will be back many times

Irv S.

Yelp
Next donuts in the WORLD!!! Only open 4 days a week until 2:00 PM. Mostly take out as their inside seating is now limited and no table side service
google avatar

Channing W.

Yelp
The food trucks at Congdon's After Dark offer a truly unique dining experience. It's usually quite busy and crowded because of the several options available but I think there are some trucks that are more worth visiting then others. If I could only choose one it would have to be Hoss and Mary's! They serve the craziest looking burgers piled high with things such as chicken fingers, crab rangoon filling, and hot pastrami. Also be sure to try their coffee cake! The food trucks are the perfect option for families of if you just can't decide on a single restaurant!
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
Well , we decided to try this out. We walked around an noticed many food trucks. We tried the crepe pizza roll up it was very good. Condon's had their beer and specialty drinks made the there. All in all we enjoyed the visit.
google avatar

Darla C.

Yelp
Fun and a great summer event that can include families and dogs. We had fun letting all the little ones pet out pups and talk food. Loved the Greek food truck, amazing Gyros!
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
There's a lot of varieties of food here. Followed with gelato or fresh hot donuts. It is too good to pass. Came with kids and husband and had a blast. Had bites from 5 out of the 10 trucks. Food includes burger, loaded fries, eggrolls, lemongrass beef skewers, gelato, fresh hot doughnuts. Everything tasted GREAT!
google avatar

Rachael G.

Yelp
This is a must when in Wells! Starts around 4pm and filled with food trucks (rotating list). They have a truck that also serves their donuts and other goodies as well as beer/wine and there are picnic tables and corn hole. Buuuut my fave thing to do was to get our food and then go sit inside their beer garden where they serve their special Honey dipped blonde beer from Barreled Souls brewery, served with a donut hole. They have other beer/wine and mixed drinks inside as well and there are restrooms too.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
I love a few food trucks here but I wish the hours could be more consistent. I have driven there 4-5 times this year, only to find it closed, some nights when it wasn't even raining. Plus, if possible; I wish they prohibited cigarette smoking. Last week we grabbed the only available picnic table to eat our dinner and there was someone smoking at the table next to us.
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
What a great idea!!! A community of food trucks (something for anyones taste buds) surrounding picnic tables with ample parking! They update their Facebook page with the exact food trucks that will be there that night. I went on a Friday and they were still serving but slowing down at 10pm. I think they start at 4. Great for big groups that can't decide on a restaurant together or families. They have live music and and ice cream and gelato stand the night I went also!
google avatar

Tony K.

Yelp
Great concept, and we've had pretty positive experiences -- many food trucks with good variety. Price points are a bit high, in general. Disappointed on one visit, arriving at about 8:20 p.m., that the gelato truck was sold out; you would think they would just be gearing up for the rush at that hour.

LK R.

Yelp
I had the lobster roll, daughter had chicken nuggets, her dad had fried scallops. They were all good!

Brian S.

Yelp
Over priced and bad selection food is also mediocre would not recommend to anyone other then my worst enemy
google avatar

colleen m.

Yelp
So fun! So many choices! You can peruse your choice of dinner options among the numerous food trucks. There is beer and wine available at Congdons under the tent. Awesome alternative dining!

Mike G.

Yelp
My family and I tried the food trucks at congdons two days ago. The place was buzzing on a Monday night. Food trucks we sampled Congdons kitchen. My son had chicken fingers abs waffle fries and enjoyed his food Macdaddy seafood. My mother loved her haddock sandwich. My fathers lobster roll was so-so My aunt and uncle abs my Brother and I all got food from el rodeo go. I had Mexican style steak tacos which were excellent. My brother and aunt abs uncle all had chicken quesadillas. My brothers was great unfortunately my aunt and uncles quesadilla was lacking chicken and did not look appetizing We also shared poutine and spicy fires from knew potato caboose. Poutine was excellent the spicy fries were lacking.
