such a great place to walk around in Austin- there’s something for everyone to look at. There’s also some great night lights- so the evening is the best time to stroll around

Walk around here. Bring money for the stores. Bring your appetite for the restaurants. Stay all day and late into the night.

Walking Congress Avenue is part of the Austin experience. A very busy street, lots of traffic. Alot of places to stop for food and drinks. I go there often since I have m y P.O. Box in the USPS -Congress location. There’s lots of interesting buildings/architecture. And there also are alot of history in the streets that are worth checking out. A good place to go for a walk or run if you don’t feel like going to a trail. Dog friendly.

Lot of people out Friday night. Homeless presence is much less obvious. Austin still has much to offer for live music and places to go.

Congress avenue connects formal and informal Austin. From the state capital you can see South between the business skyscrapers and high rise apartments, over the river, and along the shops and restaurants of South Congress. That whole stretch is a revealing walk through the changing fortunes and fashions of Texas most fascinating city.
