I didn’t know we were going to a fancy place but the food was so good!! I had the mushroom tacos, rice, guacamole, beet salad, and chocolate enchilada. All were very delicious. I especially loved the mushroom tacos!! Small portions but somehow you get full. I definitely recommend trying this place.

Google
This is by far the most underrated restaurant in El Paso and it delivers some of the best, high end Mexican food, that I've ever had. Great, attentive service, wonderfully clean and beautiful dishes, an absolutely perfect margarita... what more can you ask for? Although not cheap, you get what you pay for and compared to the other mainstays in downtown, this is a bargain. Can't wait to revisit next week when I'm back in El Paso. The aguachile negro took me right back to Mexico, and it brought the spice level too. Please check this place out if you're in ELP.

Google
Stellar. Might be the best food in EP if you like elevated Mexican dishes featuring seafood. I sometimes have trouble with spicy but even though almost all the dishes featured spice, I was able to eat and enjoy. Balanced, exciting combinations. Beautiful plating. Professional waitstaff. This is where people who savor the art of food will find happiness. Drinks were amazing too.

Google
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The flavors were amazing! We started with the carne guacamole. The beef was delicious. The guacamole amazing. We then had the Ahi tostada to share. We decided to put the grasshoppers on the side. They were so good-it was like perfectly seasoned seeds. I could describe every dish we had but the summary is that the chef is very talented. This is not your typical Mexican restaurant in El Paso, which is fantastic.

Google
I thought this place didn't meet my expectations but boy I was wrong. I ordered the Slow cooked braised pork and my goodness my taste but was going crazy! I ordered two drinks, one entrée, and one dessert and it all came to a total of $107. A little pricey, but it's worth every bite of my food.

Google
Food was really tasty, flavors were complex and the mole sauce with the pork belly was phenomenal. I usually don’t like mole and I would definitely have seconds or thirds of this mole. It bought back memories of the mole at Pujol. I wish I could have tried the cochinita but the large party before us ordered it all so we couldn’t try it but that means we will just have to come back and try it. The appetizers were also very good especially the croquetas.

Google
Fantastic food with best customer care! We came here from California just for there AWESOME tacos! LOVE it! And thank you so much!

Melissa G.

Google
Omg this place was soooo good and the service friendly and attentive. We had mushroom tacos that were amazing and the cochinita pibil was outstanding. Excellent spicy sauces too. I loved the blue masa tortillas. Delicious. And the Serrano margarita was wonderful.

Yelp
Oh my this place has my taste buds go crazy!!! This place has such a unique taste in all of their plates. Each plate is hand crafted and very tasteful. I had 2 drinks, one entree and one dessert and the total came out to be $107.10 with tip. Definitely not cheap for El Paso prices but this place was very different than what I have been to. I know I could have gotten Slow cooked braised pork elsewhere for half the price but I must say this place is worth it. The only unfortunate it's a little expensive but I will def come Back!

Yelp
As we were attending an event around the corner, and it was our anniversary, I decided to bring my wife here for a more upscale Mexican eatery. Key word in the last sentence is "upscale". The menu is small, portions are modest, the prices are not. The quality of food is very high, as is the flavor. You come to this sort of place for the uniqueness of the flavor and the attentiveness of service. It's a great "date night" place. If you are with anyone that is at all picky, best to review the menu first. As it was happy hour, we had an order of guacamole and it was fantastic. The portion size was small and because it tasted so good, and we took that as a cue to the size of the mains, we ordered another. The Serrano margaritas were also wonderful, however be sure you are cool with spicy flavors because they pack a heated kick. My wife is a more particular eater than myself and she didn't enjoy the food as much as I did. The menu is about half seafood based which she isn't a fan of. The only two dishes she considered were the ribeye (she prefers leaner cuts) and the Conchinitas Pibil, a pork dish which she ordered. I had the Pork Belly y Manchamanteles which is a mole sauce. I'm a sucker for mole so if it's my first time at a place and it's on the menu, I'm getting it. This dish did not disappoint; loads of flavor in the pork belly, which can stand on its own, and in the mole. My palate and vocabulary are not so refined that I can write out "hints of nutmeg, bitter chocolate blah blah", it's good and I'd get it again without hesitation. My wife thought the mole was a little sweet and I would say that it did lean more towards sweet than bitter, but barely. The Conchinitas is marinated in a sauce that I couldn't describe aside from being delicious if only borderline salty. I suggest taking that comment with a grain of salt as I am pretty sensitive to salt after having reduced my intake for years. The dishes were served with a serving of rice and house made blue corn tortillas. The service was very attentive without being annoying and at 5pm, we were the only people in the place. One tip on parking. You have to park in the lot of the restaurant next door as the adjacent lot is reserved for a business across the street.

Yelp
This is one of those food that you'll keep talking about it after you eat. Wow, hidden gem in El Paso

Yelp
Tucked conveniently just off the highway 10, this restaurant strikes the perfect balance between accessibility and ambiance. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a casual yet elegant atmosphere--stylish without being stuffy, making it equally ideal for a laid-back lunch or a cozy dinner. Great service and delicious tasting food! it's the kind of place you'll want to return to again and again.

Yelp
One of the best food experiences in El Paso. Must visit! This restaurant really shows its dedication and love for food. From service to quality of the food was on point! You will thank me later

Becky B.

Yelp
Absolutely awful service. No sign that says wait to be seated. We sat and got completely ignored by a pompas supervisor.

Yelp
Wonderful culinary experience tonight. I was immediately greeted and seated. Chantal/Issa was my server. Extremely friendly and helpful explained dishes and unique ingredients. Attentive. I started with a shrimp zarandeado taco. Served on housemade blue corn tortilla. Good sized shrimp cooked perfectly. Flavorful combination. Next I had the Croquetas Gobernator. Crispy exterior with shrimp, poblano magic inside set atop a delicious sauce. Ended with Aguachile Negro. WOW flavor explosion! I have never eaten this dish before. I loved it. Right amount of shrimp, octopus, and scallops. Lime and chile left my taste buds happy and craving more. I also tried 2 cocktails both were awesome: The Queen elevated margarita Old Fashioned MX mezcal Elevated, unique Mexican cuisine you won't find anywhere else. I wish I lived here to become a regular. Locals come support this gem The love and pride put into the food and establishment shines.

Yelp
The food was good. The wings were good. The beer was great. Atmosphere was very very good. You should try it out

Yelp
Fancy restaurant with a different take on Mexican food. The ambiance here was very nice. Service was excellent and the food was delicious! The red snapper was especially amazing! It comes with a side of delicous rice. The flavors on the fish was phenomenal! Definitely try the fish! It's enough to share between two people if you get some starters. The calamari and ceviche was also good but the fish stole the show.

Randy G.

Yelp
You need to experience for yourself. Good food good atmosphere. Tecates are sold here but beer is not needed. The food is the real reason to come here.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
Let me start with the positive. The food is extraordinary, the chef / owner is in the kitchen crafting every dish that was sent out. I had the octopus tartare and the arroz a la tumbada. The octopus was super tender and the blue corn tostada was a perfect accompaniment. The rice dish was, hold on, better than a paella. It was spicy and full of delicious seafood. The service was great as well, very attentive and on their game.

Yelp
This place is awesome. I'm not a big fan of Mexican food but this was more like gourmet with a Mexican influence. Everything we had was excellent. the guacamole with crickets, the watermelon and tuna ceviche, and hummus were excellent starters. The entrees were equally delicious, fresh and well prepared. Service was excellent too. Make sure you try the Sangria! I will definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant. You can see the pride of ownership in everything they do.

Beth G.

Yelp
The food and service are fantastic. This is not the usual Mexican fare. The menu has delicious mushroom taco, pork belly entree and a fabulous duck breast mole with truffles. The menu was awkward and difficult for me to download so I only gave 4 stars for that but service is 5 stars!

Yelp
The best high-end, made from scratch Mexican cuisine in El Paso, not your run of the mill offerings. Delicious dessert offerings and appetizers. From the moment you enter, you're greeted personally by the manager. The music is contemporary, and the specialty coctails keep you coming back. I've visited several times with friends and for family celebrations.

David F.

Yelp
Really extraordinary modern Mexican food. Extremely high end food in an unassuming atmosphere. Excellent service with good recommendations. A smaller menu but everything was incredibly good. This one would be worth going out of your way for.

Kristey M.

Yelp
Yo. This place is insane. Pricey, sure, as many good things in life end up being. I live in Southern California and have not had Mexican food like this before. Not to sound dramatic but the aguachile was a spiritual experience for me. They have a great happy hour (huge for me), and their margaritas are made to order. Hector was phenomenal, granted it was slow but still took great care of me and the chefs in the back know wtf they're doing. The skull pictured is effectively a QR code for the menu but you just tap your phone against it and it pops up. A nice futuristic touch on an overall amazing experience. And fwiw, happy hour goes until 7 and they have it on Mondays too, per Hector. Food didn't last long enough to photograph, sorry! Eat here asap

Yelp
Amazing food! Conchinita Pibil was the best I've ever had and the Tostada de Atun was delicious.

Alejandro A.

Yelp
A small venue with enormous character and flavor. My part was greeted with friendly service and sat promptly. We tried a few appetizers, tartar de pulpo and some calamari. Both exceptional. For the entrées I got a cochinita pibil so incredibly tender and flavorful, I dreamt I was back on vacation in Southern Mexico. Be sure to ask for extra tortillas. Others in my group had the Mole Manchamanteles where they were sad that the meal would come to an end. Overall a great more upscale place in El Paso. Definitely worth it if in the area.

Louis P.

Yelp
Had their fantastic pork belly and mole manchamantel. It tasted like a Mexican meat candy. Highly recommend when you find yourself in El Paso!

Jeanette P.

Yelp
Small staff on a busy Monday but relax and enjoy the experience. Food is worth it. I enjoyed 3 happy hour tacos Asada, Carnitas, and my hands down favorite, Mushroom. A cold watermelon soup with a touch of chili oil was a wonderful surprise. Go . Enjoy.

Casey H.

Yelp
Let me just say, I do not EVER leave Yelp reviews. This will be the exception. I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the country which were obviously great, but Conico is elevated. This place was spectacular start to finish! It started off with complimentary watermelon soup, which was the strangest thing I've ever been served, until I tasted it. Wow! I ordered 4 items off the menu and the quality of ingredients, the plating and presentation were all incredible. The attention to detail was amazing especially for someone like me who walked in by himself on a whim, in work jeans and a baseball cap. Everything was so delicious and the server was very informative and helpful. The locals in El Paso are so fortunate to have such a special place in their city. I will be back!

Rudy I.

Yelp
The food is amazing and the service was best in class. The Tuna tostada was delicious but I have to say the ceviche was my favorite. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Elevated Mexican cuisine. Excellent service and very unique, delicious dishes! Perfect for a date night.

Yelp
Omg...what an eating experience! The menu isn't large, but I am guessing after eating here that the goal was to offer less options and do those things extremely well. They succeeded. I appreciated the unique take on Mexican fare - the chef here is more of an artist. We came on a Tuesday night while on a business trip. The service was impeccable. It's a small restaurant so I would make a reservation for a weekend night. It's so cute and quaint, with very eclectic decor.

Yelp
My partner and I stopped in El Paso for a night and ate here for dinner. The food and service was incredible. The aesthetic of the restaurant was really awesome. We met one of the owners and he was super friendly and personable. Highly recommend!

Diego D.

Yelp
Very good food, good size portions, presentation of the food feels very high end . First time there. Would definitely go back

Yelp
So enjoyed our meal at Conico Cocina Mexicana! The quiet, subdued ambience was perfectly calming after a stressful flight to El Paso. We started out with a complimentary bean soup that was very flavorful and awakened our appetites. Then on to an order of the Guacamole , which was smooth and creamy and just plain yummy! Monday night is all night happy hour, so we decided to try the tacos - and were not disappointed. Beer was cold, and wonderful compliment to our meal. We can't wait to come back and try a few other dishes! Thank you, Chef!

Yelp
First time in cónico and it's a must go! Amazing spot with amazing food! I tried different dishes and none disappointed. Overall this place is FIRE!. The service we received was very profesional and my wife and I will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcome and gave us an amazing experience.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the service here. The food was also amazing, we tried many of their appetizers as well as their main courses. I would highly recommend the ceviche as a starter and the cochinito pibil for main course.
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
absolutely wonderful dining experience! Our server was so attentive and made us feel right at home!! I highly recommend for a date night or small group outing!

Ivan H.

Yelp
This is without question my favorite restaurant in El Paso. Period. Each plate is a unique experience. Thank you for existing
google avatar

Luis T.

Yelp
Food was acceptable but the service was poor, cocky waiter, pushy and obnoxious, he ruined the ambiance by pushing his sales pitch and made all guests in our party uncomfortable. Will never go back.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely an amazing experience!!! The balance of each dish is incredible!!! Treat yourself to something wonderful (:

Yelp
Delicious modern Mexican cuisine. Great for a date night! I recommend trying some of the especially creative dishes. They don't disappoint. But the tacos were good too!

Marino R.

Yelp
Good good. Petite Service fair. Slow Wine. Warm and very expensive Overall experience; fair. Will try it again In about a year if still open

Ricardo G.

Yelp
Great service great food and very nice restaurant would highly recommend it food is very different than your typical Mexican restaurants

Fiona M.

Yelp
My spouse and I stopped by. My goodness, beautiful environment! Staff is so friendly and professional! The food is a pop of a flavor! Delicious. Recommend the mushroom tacos!

Priscilla M.

Yelp
Amazing experience, amazing service, amazing food!!! Cónico Cocina Mexicana did not disappoint. Tried a little bit of everything....tuna tostadas, fish, guacamole, chicharrón, ceviche, shrimp tacos, tamal de chocolate. Everything we had was delicious!

Cecilia C.

Yelp
Relatively new spot in EP. This was a fantastic meal. An elevated take on Mexican cuisine. The tostada de atun was very flavorful, elegant, and did not sit heavy. Many of the dishes came with salsitas that were masterfully made. Different from your typical fare, with some heat with a kick. A must try!

Zul E.

Yelp
Great vibe, great food! Will definitely return! Hidden gem, highly recommend. Small place but great taste. Be patient with service staff, food totally worth it!

Mario R.

Yelp
I had been following Conico on social media for the past year and we finally got to try it. Unfortunately, our group of 5 was not very impressed. The guacamole with chapulines was great, the mushroom tacos were good, but that's about it. First of all, the menu is available on your phone. The server brought this skull to the table and told us to tap the skull with our phones and the menu would come up, which it did for some of us and not for others unless we took off the phone case. So that wasn't the best start. The drinks were good (tried the mezcal paloma, old fashioned). The food was hit or miss and we all felt like everything that we ordered was very salty. We had the aguachiles negro, aguachiles blanco, octopus tartare, croquetas, watermelon salad, beet salad, mushroom tacos and guacamole. The tacos and guacamole were good, but everything else was very salty. The concept of the food is good and hopefully they'll work on that. I feel like the menu process can be improved, as well as having cleaner bathrooms. Normally, a high price for a small dish won't bother me but these left a lot to be desired.

Ken S.

Yelp
Excellent food and ambiance. Tacos are delicious. Small intimate place with exotic menu. Give it a try. You will like it.

Joel P.

Yelp
Whether you live in El Paso or are just passing through, Conico Cocina is a must!! The food and service is phenomenal . The flavor combinations on each course we experienced were truly amazing. Can't wait to go back next time we are in town.

Claudia P.

Yelp
Food is unique and the service was amazing. Just opened but are adjusting well. Cute place for a date night

Conor F.

Yelp
Came here around 3 because it was nearby, food was absolutely delicious and service was incredible, definitely need to give this place a try.

Javier M.

Yelp
The ambiance is super,I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Special thanks to chef Yered. We all enjoyed your delicious food (especially the aguachile negro)

Pajarita B.

Yelp
Wonderful birthday dinner. Unique and delicious food, great service and friendly atmosphere. We will return. Highly recommend.

Siddhant K.

Yelp
Amazing and unique plates, excellent service. This feels like a concept kitchen that struck gold.

Jr W.

Yelp
Very good food and excellent service.... BUT, beware the included 18% Gratuity on the bill (for me and my wife). I didn't notice it until I got home, so with the generous tip I left added to their 18% added up to an outrageous tip. Generally, included gratuities are usually reserved for larger parties -- but not here. I will return, but hopefully this message will keep someone else from making the same mistake I made.
