Conningbrook - Ashford

Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommend! One of the cleanest hotels we’ve ever stayed in – absolutely spotless. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was spacious, full of light, with a lovely view over the garden. The restaurant food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. The only small downside was breakfast: there was no dairy-free bread option for toast, and the wait was a bit longer than expected. Not a major issue, just something to note. Overall, a really enjoyable stay – We would definitely come back!

Pet friendly hotel with a bar/restaurant on site. The staff were helpful and friendly at check in and the room was clean and equipped with tea/coffee/kettle and lovely toiletries. The room was a little dated but comfortable. We had an enjoyable, tasty meal in the restaurant which was reasonably priced. There was a small issue at breakfast ( chef late) which caused service to be delayed, but the staff kept us informed and organized toast while we were waiting. Tea, coffee, fruit juice and cereal were available also and once service started the breakfast was good. Easy to get to location and on site parking. We will return!

We held an afternoon tea party for our daughter's 18th birthday at the Conningbrook Hotel. The function room was perfect - fairy lights everywhere, a private bar, doors to the garden- everything we could wish for. Sarah, Sophie, Alfie, Tom & Mary were so helpful throughout the planning process & on the day - it couldn't have been easier! The food was lovely - our guests all commented especially on how delicious the sandwiches were. They had plenty of filling & thick slices of bread - perfect! There was also plenty of jam & clotted cream for the scones. The pretty china looked gorgeous - we had a choice of round or rectangular tables, & chose the circular ones, which worked well. We had 19 guests & it was a perfect afternoon - we highly recommend the Conningbrook team & venue.

First time visiting the Conningbrook for a Sunday Carvery - will not be the last! Beautiful gravy and plenty of choice for sides. We booked for 13:30 and still lots left, can see why food runs out for the later bookings though. Servers were as lovely as ever, super friendly and helpful.

Generous sized room (we were in standard double), very comfortable bed, bathroom appeared newly installed. Huge carpark!We chose hotel as it was within walking distance of a party we went to and would stay again if needing accommodation in Ashford.

Absolute disaster, booked earlier in the day and was not informed of a reduced menu. Arrive to be pushed into a sideroom rather than the restaurant. Presented with a selection of starters which did not contain anything either of us liked, the mains listed under grills were all burgers, no steaks or chicken and the mains section had fish,scampi, sausages or hunters chicken. |My wife reluctantly chose sausages, and although she cannot eat onions she requested no onion gravy with as advertised. Sorry can't do it with normal gravy as it comes pre prepared but we can put it in a pot on the side. Ok no problems, so sausages, mash and buttered vegetables. Arrived with mash which had been mixed in with spring onions and the sausages were covered with dried crispy onions. Not sure which part of can't eat onions they didn't understand and then to boot the vegetables were mainly, yep you've guessed it . . . . Leeks !!|So in the end she ended up with sausages, mash and peas. Hardly date night material.|I ended up with scampi and chips which to be fair I've had better at my local chippy at a much lower price. |Would I go back again, not a chance in hell !!

Sunday carvery is great, very busy which says it all booking advised. Staff are great and friendly. Large parking and garden, great in the summer with a kids play area. I booked oaks for a party of 20 and the food was great and the prices were reasonable.

Couldn’t fault the conningbrooks yummy carvery at all! It’s always a nice treat to come in to a bustling restaurant and be greeted by a group of cheerful and efficient workers. Me and my partner were consistently impressed by the speed, attitude and knowledge of all the staff we encountered during our visit. ||We most definitely cannot wait to come again next week for what I can guarantee is the single best roast in the Ashford and surrounding areas!
