I had the best experience and also my first time. The drinks were outstanding 👏 flavors right on the point. The appetizers were perfectly cooked and the salad with salmon is something I enjoyed!!!! Don't hesitate if you are in town and try this amazing restaurant!!! I will be back soon!

Cutie little bar in town with such a pleasant ambiance. I tried the Cardamom Corpse — not too sweet, not too dry — just perfect. Definitely my go-to spot whenever I'm in town. Will be coming back for sure!

I was here on September 26th at 1:30ish PM on my one and only day off. Women came in cussing at the bartender telling her the food was raw/horrible. Had the same food as them and mine was cooked right. Super juicy and tasty. Fries were golden crisp. When the bartender was busy the food sat out on the kitchen counter for them until she was able to serve it to them. I could see the fries golden from the bar. Fries weren’t burnt. Bartender told her to leave. Me and another guy at the bar told her to leave. All she did was cussed at the bartender. All drinks she made were on point. She even came back for a 2nd time after saying “she’s trying to pay”. All she wanted was a fight This place is great. Took many of my friends here and we all had a great time

This place always has the best playlist when I go in and the food never disappoints. They have fun drinks too. This photo is from the 2025 Meltdown sandwich, a benefit county-wide in which participating locations offer their take on delicious grilled cheese sandwiches and $2 from each one sold benefits the local food bank.

We invited my brother-in-law and his girlfriend to cocktails so we could get to know her better. Girlfriend-in-law paid the bill! suh-WEET! Even when I tried to pay the second round, she told the bartender not to accept my payment. haha Even if I had paid, I would still like this place and their cocktails. It is a nice atmosphere, not too loud, comfortable seating, warm whimsical decorations, friendly service, and clean bathrooms. They have a large list of cocktails, mocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages, as well as beer and wine. They can make all the traditional cocktails. A regular told me the manhattan is top notch, but the cherries aren’t the best he’s seen. Cherry seemed alright to me. They also have several house cocktails and a few specials to choose from. Between us 4, we tried several different cocktails. We even tried the house cocktail designed for the bitterest of liqueurs, Jeppson’s Malört. All were deemed tasty by all! They offer several food items from a full kitchen, including appetizers, sandwiches, salads, breakfast, and dinner. They even have veggie burger, gluten free crackers, and gluten free (GF) fried chicken! ! ! Free parking on the street. No minors allowed, bummer… l’d like it better if kids were allowed, but it’s so good it’s gets the 5th star. If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!

I was once in love with the owner of this bar and always will be. I guess some things never change and some do. Life is mysterious, but I will always love her and wish the best for her family until my dying breathe. Praying for continuous blessings for the family and grace beyond merit. Went in on September 26th on Friday at about 1:30ish the bartender seemed new tried asking her to make my mom a fruity cocktail with vodka& she suggested a lemon drop my mom politely said she didn’t like those& she pretty much seemed like she didn’t know what to make.my mom told her to just make a vodka cran since that was easier. Got our food burger was raw went in to have it cooked more,my chicken sandwich had absolutely no chicken in it, the fries were burnt& the sever seemed very annoyed with about anythin she had to do. My mom then went inside just wanting to get a refund on her burger and the server lady refused and said she couldn’t give her a refund & asked her for her name and she then refused to give her name so my mom asked for the managers number& she just gave us the restaurants number. Absolutely worse service ever, definitely not ever going back.hopefully the manger or the owner sees this and reaches out.

We went there on a whim. Unique bar they have all the usual drinks but they have some of the most interesting drinks that really catch your eye as they are being served. The food was spectacular and beautiful the drinks were great! The staff went out of their way to make our experience outstanding! We felt comfortable the moment that we went in and can't wait to go again. Highly recommend!

Alas, The Conservatory has fallen pray to the dreaded portion deduction syndrome. We have dinned here multiple times and we have really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant still has a lovely vib and is open late, which in these parts is not always easy to find. However, the Smoked Salmon Salad had about half the salmon per usual (smaller plate?) and the Portabella Sandwich simply cut one mushroom in half rather than a whole one. The wines per glass, still mediocre considering where this restaurant is located, had way less of a pour than before. Rather than served in a decent sized glass the white and red wine both came in a small white wine glass. The previous pour with a larger glass made the wine as good as it could be. But now the red wine in this small white glass tasted mostly of alcohol. Just as well the portion was reduced. As a business it all comes down to money, naturally. Nothing wrong with that. The decision to reduce portions throughout was based (probably) upon the fact that the majority of customers would not notice, or those who did didn't care, and that only a few would care enough to call it out. The Conservatory certainly did not invent this trick. It's too bad to see this here as we did enjoy coming for an evening dinner. We own a commercial kitchen on our local farm. We do not cut the size of our baked good way down, nor do we sell 9 eggs to the dozen. If we must raise our prices, we will gladly inform our customers as to the reasons why. Our customers appreciate honestly. In the end, we gain more that we loose.

We had a nice time at conservatory. We were there early on a Friday and it was not busy at all. We placed our order in at the bar and the two bartenders there were so polite. The poutine with brisket was delicious. The drink was a tad sour for my taste, but it was good none the less. Not a ton of menu options for dinner, but we would come back for an app and drinks.

Service was slow, drinks were made up and tasted okay. The blow dart was just gross. Tasted like paint cleaner...

I just bragged about it and told some friends that it had the best poutine south of Canada ... but today the poutine was lacking. I guess the gravy was out of a bag (or not a good attempt to make a good gravy) the previously offered brisket was substituted with a hamburger patty (who ever heard of a hamburger patty with poutine?) It really wasn't up to par. I'm seriously saddened I liked to go there once in a while to get a very good poutine.

I was there about 4 months ago and loved everything --the ambience, the murals , the vibe and especially the drinks. I tried most of their specialty drinks + shots--everything was delicious! The bartender was so friendly and knowledgeable!! If you're ever in Oregon-check out this bar- I enjoyed all the drinks!! Such a fun place to sit down and relax!!

This is a place with a ton of unique character! Come in and hang out for a few drinks and bites. Worth visiting just to see the mural on the outside. Food was good! My favorite was probably the fried cauliflower. Crunchy with what seemed like a cornmeal batter! Warmed those babies up the next day in the air fryer, still tasty. Also really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, nice balsamic glaze, cooked through but not mushy. Portobello mushroom burger had nice combo of flavors! It was hard to eat because the mushroom was cut too thick and kept sliding out of the sandwich. Ran out of bun too. Dropped a star for snobby service. I don't recall anyone smiling at us once. And we are a friendly bunch! I can charm any server! Could it be because our group was probably 30 years older than the other patrons and the staff? I hope not. You have to create your own fun at this place. Servers were rather dour and lacked enthusiasm. We sat by the kitchen and the cooks looked like they were slogging away at a mundane task. No banter and certainly no joy. Now they aren't there to entertain us but it made me a little sad. And it was very early in the evening. Maybe everyone was just weary after a long week.

Sadly, our last visit had food downgraded and portions cut in half- wine choices not as good- guess they would rather serve cocktails as their main draw.

This is not a place I would recommend The drinks are way overpriced, and the owner does not put pepper on his hamburgers, which is ridiculous and there's no salt and pepper at the tables. He does not care about his employees. It takes forever to get a drink. I have not seen a cook last longer than six months there Horrible place

First of all... POUTINE! Secondly, top notch, and very interesting cocktails. The bartender took her time making amazing drinks, and I can tell this place cares about flavors, ingredients etc. One of the best bars in McMinnville in my opinion. And try their take on an old fashioned. Very interesting and delicious. Cheers!

I've gone here a couple times in the past year and it's been alright... the food is extremely bland and often soggy. The drinks are pretty good, but the bartenders are very bizarre. I don't know if it's rude, or just a general social skills issue.... Also, I find it a little ironic that Conservatory displays a LGBTQ flag on their establishment, but every time they've been asked to do a queer event, they just don't respond. If you don't know what the stereotype of yuppies and hipsters are, you'll definitely get that vibe coming here. An opinion about everything but a belief in nothing, and no action behind their words of equality. Personally, I could go on a diatribe about certain people who work here, but I'll just leave it at this - TOXIC I will say the only redeeming thing this bar has to offer is Brussel Sprouts. So order those to go if you really feel like wasting you money on a piss poor establishment. I do Not think a conservatory will be around in 5 years time, but hopefully they reconsider the way they treat people, and make changes so everyone can enjoy it.

I love a great cocktail and the cocktails were good. What wasn't was the service, I felt like I was I na members only club and I wasn't a member.

Sabrina is a real gem. Made our night by helping keep the kitchen open after our flight came in late. Great service!

Eat here at least 2 times a week and the ambiance is amazing. Bartenders are attentive, consistent, and friendly! The food is consistently delicious and reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend!

Beef brisket sandwiches were great! A little more Brie would have been nice. The potato salad was so authentic. Reminded me of grandma's backyard bbq's. The music was so nostalgic (80's) and fun! Very friendly servers! We will be back!

Wow! What an amazing place! The food was incredible, I got the poutine with brisket. Absolutely delicious, it was covered in brisket gravy and the most tender brisket I've ever eaten. The drinks are so unique. The different flavors/herbs they mix with the drinks is something I've never experienced in a cocktail. They really do a terrific job making each drink something special.

Loved this place so much we came twice while in town. First night just for drinks, then our last evening for food and bev. Both occasions were great. Super chill with friendly and efficient bartender. If you want things to stay chill you'll want to settle up before 9. Open daily til 11 which is late night by McMinneville standards, and things definitely cranked up a notch after nearby bars and restaurants shuttered for the night and patrons moved like moths to a flame to one of the only alternatives in town. That being said, things never got out of hand, just bustling. Creative cocktail menu. I tried a hibiscus drink that I found a little too bright for my mood, and a spicy mezcal cocktail that packed some good heat and was perfection. The food was also excellent. The portobello sandwich (with goat cheese, tomato, greens, tomato jam, and chimichurri on ciabatta) was massive and delicious. I seriously thought there were two sandwiches on my plate when it was delivered to my table. Nope, just two enormous halves. I saved one for a midnight snack. The fries were also some of the best I've had in a very long time. Freshly cut. Not overdone, and not too soggy, but just right. This would be my go-to as a local. Considering moving to McMinneville to make that dream come true.

I've been searching for a good burger in McMinnville after moving here five years ago, and FINALLY found the best burger in town, AND the best fries!!! Conservatory Bar serves a half pound burger, cooked any way you like (I prefer mine medium rare), along with a HUGE pile of string fries, salted to perfection. I've eaten there twice and it's the ONLY place I will go for a burger in Mac! Their Margaritas are pretty good, but I'm hoping they will start serving Bierly Brewing's gluten free beer, especially because it's home-grown right here in McMinnville (https://www.bierlybrewing.com/).

This is a hidden gem. The best meal we've had in Oregon. The chef was amazing! Brussel sprouts, oh my goodness and the salmon salad was perfect. So happy!

I love this place! Best bar to get food at in town!!! The Turkey club and Brussel sprouts are my go to. I order take out quite a bit from here. Fun to go with a few people and play games and get drinks!!!

This little bar is an eclectic place. We were visiting wineries during the day and came here for a drink before dinner. It was recommended to us as a great place to get a nice cocktail and one of the few places that stays open late in McMinnville. It does stay open late and serves food until midnight. And I'll preface this next part with we may be spoiled as we have great cocktail bars at home but the service was average to poor at best, the cocktails were not good but didn't wow you. The setting is hard to describe it. Have low expectations and you'll be fine. We ended up staying for dinner. The brisket sandwich sounded amazing based on the description on the menu but really disappointed, it had very little flavor. Pretty much just brisket on bread. My bride really liked the mushrooms, I'm not a big cornmeal guy which is the batter they use so I was underwhelmed by them as well. Glad we gave it a try but wouldn't come back.

Food was decent. Burger was great, fries were over cooked. Drink selection is very locally based, which is great, but some more pedestrian options would be great. Cool ambiance.

Alright, I gave this a 2, because the staff was friendly enough etc, no issue there. Other than I think the bartender was new and didn't make the normal Mosscow Mule correctly, their Mulberry was amazing though per usual. HOWEVER if you like paying out the keester for the most bland food you've ever had (didn't even have salt and pepper shakers at the tables at the very least to have some sort of flavor) or a brisket that is soaked in whatever sugary concoction, or a Cuban sandwich that uses sweet pickles? Let's just make it all sugar on the plate right? A soaked bun that the brisket came on that falls apart as soon as you pick it up (maybe toast it?) I would have tried harder to pick it up and make it work if i didn't think I'd need an insulin shot after. A balsamic vinegertte that tastes of nothing but oil (yes i mixed it up before using) and a poutine that would make a Canadian cry, and apologize to the chef who made it. Then this is 100% the place for you. I've been here several times, what happened? The staff looked 12 years old in the kitchen, so maybe they lost their kitchen staff they had? Not sure, 100% won't be back though, its too overpriced for us blue collar people who received glares from all the hipsters. I can go so many other places in the area if I wanted to hear rich pretentious people complain about having too much money, and just not enough time to spend it, and I wouldn't go hungry and have a bill for $75 for two meals and 2 drinks. Back to my lower class hole I crawled out from. Stay humble.

Ordered poutine with brisket, pickled cauliflower and Brussels. Everything was fast, fresh and delicious! The bartender was personable and friendly, loved the outdoor seating!

Such a great place. I loved the atmosphere, the bartender was legit, and the selection of spirits was definitely a step up from most places. My sister-in-law and I had the mulberry and it was perfect, just what we were looking for. My brother was excited about their selection of whiskeys and got a double of the four roses....but even more surprising was their food! The brisket sandwich is a must and the burger was just as good. The fries r fresh and perfectly cooked and the brussel sprout app was so good (we added goat cheese). We will definitely be back next time I'm in town!!

Great food at a reasonable price. We had the Brussels and beet salad and went back the next day for poteen it was all wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I love the Conservatory! I was so excited when a new trendy bar opened in McMinnville, and it does not disappoint! All of the staff are lovely, the drinks are delicious as well as the food. They offer great outdoor seating too. All around good vibes!

A wonderful evening with terrific service, delicious food and a great atmosphere! The front of the house staff (especially the bartender, Anami!!) are welcoming, warm and well versed in the local community, recommendations and menu suggestions. Back of the house staff are super talented and skilled in creating delightful specials. Recommend the grilled cheese special, fries, and Blood Money cocktail (if you like spicy cocktails).

Great atmosphere, great drinks, great food! The menu is limited, but quality is very good. My go to is the turkey pesto sandwich add bacon. They also have a great catalog of drinks, as well as new drink specials every couple of weeks.

I absolutely love this place! June, at there bar makes amazing mixed drinks and the food is fantastic. Some of my favorites are the portobello sandwich, the brussel sprouts and the cornmeal coated mushroom fries but I've eaten almost everything on the menu at this point and its all delicious.

I frankly don't have enough nice things to say about conservatory bar, from the drinks, the food, the kind humans who own it, to the amazing humans they employ. I haven't been drinking recently, but the last cocktail I had here was absolutely exquisite, and they also have some cbd and nonalcoholic options for any other non drinkers. That being said, even as someone who is not super comfy in bars currently, I feel so welcome and loved when I pop in about once a week and grab some food. Everything is so fresh, you can tell care is put into each item, and it's always so delicious. The turkey pesto sandwich, smoked salmon salad, and fried pickles are definitely not to be missed. The vibes, absolutely unmatched. From the decor, to excellent music I always have to ask about, truly kind and incredible employees who make you feel so cared for, indoor and outdoor seating, conservatory truly delivers it all, in such a magical package. Thankful to have such a consistently excellent spot I can frequent in my town

The craft cocktails are interesting and delicious. My husband had the Farm Fashion and loved it. I had the Cardamom Corpse-very good. The food was amazing! Smaller menu because it's a cocktail bar, but super interesting ingredients that were well prepared. The Portobello sandwich was out of this world! I recommend when trying something different. Except for the hard surfaces, the place rocks!

Never been here before but it's awesome! Delicious creative cocktails, beautiful atmosphere, fun unique board games too! We also tried the Brussels sprouts and they were so good!

Tables are too close together. Not a place for a private conversation. Had the Poutine and shared with a friend. Salt!! Neither of us could taste the food. Only salt. Bar tender was sneaking shots. They do have domestic beer. That's a plus.
