Consigliere

I had a great time here my first visit. I didn’t try to get a table since I was solo, but I was able to find space at the bar fairly easily. The wine and cocktails were really good, particularly the Fowl Play and the Love You Bunches. I didn’t try any of the foods but probably will next time. The service was good and the DJ that was playing was excellent. I enjoyed the aesthetic and set up, and I do hope this place can last in downtown Newark!

Consigliere is a whole vibe. The space is meticulously designed, stylish, cozy, and full of character. The wine selections are thoughtful and well-curated, with something for everyone. Music is always on point and the attention to detail shows in everything from the glassware to the service. Staff is awesome and friendly. It’s clear a lot of love went into this place at every level. Easily one of Newark’s best new spots.

Great spot, amazing atmosphere, wonderful hospitality. If you’re looking for a great music and cool atmosphere this is the place be. Cocktail menu is refreshing and extremely tasteful. Wine catalog is very diverse and impressive. You can tell the team behind Consigliere are extremely educated about the wine products they served. 10 out of 10.

Talk about a great evening! First off, the staff is nothing short of incredible — attentive, fun and most importantly, knowledgeable. Consigliere brings out the best of Newark, filling the gap of what was much needed for the city’s continued growth. The wine list? Phenomenal and clearly curated. The cocktails? Smooth as can be and the team there executes a vision that is constantly iterating to become even better than the last time (I’ve already been several times!). Definitely becoming my go-to spot.

By far the BEST experience I’ve had in Newark! The atmosphere is great especially with the live DJ! The wine selection is amazing for someone starting to gain interest in the space like myself. The most impressive part of Consigliere was that the owners and staff were personable and accommodating to everyone that entered.

Consigliere is truly something special. The atmosphere, the music, the service was incredible. This feels like what we all want from a true East Coast establishment: great service, great vibe and the wine and add in dope music. It has something for any mood. Happy Hour today was amazing and I cannot wait for their events! You can tell this was well curated by the owner and I felt like this is now a destination spot if you are looking for a great wine, music, and vibe.

Beautiful wine bar with an extensive wine list and amazing cocktails (even mocktails!). So happy to finally have a grown and sexy spot to go to in Newark that also serves delicious small plates—especially the customizable charcuterie boards (duck prosciutto is a game changer). Our server and the bartenders were very friendly and the music was perfect, too. Can’t wait to go back!

A beautiful space & just what we’ve been needing. Amazing music, amazing selection of wines + cheeses and 10/10 service from the staff. Love it.

I met up with my friend for a drink! When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked into the nicest spot! I sat at the bar and was served by some awesome bartenders. I had happy hour and ordered wine and other cocktails. Everything was great! I definitely will return!
