I was really looking forward to trying this place and had it bookmarked for quite some time. Unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. As a bartender and someone who’s worked in the industry for years, I noticed that both the table service and host procedures could use some refinement.
We were running a bit late for our reservation and tried calling ahead, but no one answered. When we arrived around 8:45, we learned that the kitchen would be closing in 15 minutes. Unfortunately, we weren’t seated until about 8:50 because the host was nowhere to be found. By the time our server greeted us, we had to quickly throw together a charcuterie order. Had we been able to reach someone earlier, we could have planned a more curated experience.
Our wine also took a while to arrive, and from an operational standpoint, I think it would streamline service if servers handled wine while bartenders focused on cocktails. Overall, it was an average experience, not bad, but a bit disappointing considering how excited I was to visit.
