The 16 Best Los Angeles Coffee Shops With Free Wi-Fi | Eater LA

"One of SoCal’s coziest caffeinated spots resides in La Cañada. Arrive at an unassuming strip mall and into Constellation Coffee for a collection of coffees, teas, and pastries worth seeking out. The space is also a great destination for anyone looking to escape the bustle of the city and get some work done." - Mona Holmes

Google
Food, service, and atmosphere are 5 stars. I usually order a double espresso and a scone. Delicious!

Google
Great coffee, the cold brew is fantastic. Lots of good pastries, and has some fantastic chill vibes.

Google
Great lil coffee shop in the neighborhood. I’m in the area temporarily and been visiting them frequently - it’s been good start of my work day on a regular basis. Good coffee quality, nice snacks and very friendly team

Google
It's great to support a local business like this one. They have lots of regulars coming in. I tried the iced vanilla latte which was mildly flavored and smooth. It was good. The people working here were nice. They have limited seating so I had to take my drink to go.

Google
Nice coffee shop to sit and work in. Music isn’t too loud, AC works well, space feels open and inviting with a handful of different seating options. There are a few extra tables in the back by the bathroom. Parking in the lot is a headache - limited number of spots and very cramped. Friendly staff, great coffee. Their rose vanilla is fantastic - floral but well balanced and not too sweet. Also appreciate the speedy wifi—though it wasn’t crowded, wifi was noticeably faster than all the public places in recent memory. Look for the Ryan Gosling picture at the counter for the password! Will definitely be back.

Google
Expensive for what it is. None of the pastries are made here. They’re all delivered. I asked for chorizo and cheese pastry and what was served to me was something else. Definitely not chorizo and cheese pastry. They use a small toaster oven…. Something someone would have in a studio apartment. Definitely a joke for a restaurant that has a queue of people wanting to order. The pastry was hot on outside but cold in centre, so the cheese was hard. Better just go to Starbucks.

Google
I like this Constellation coffee location as much as its other location. It's a great place and atmosphere to get some work done - wifi works real well. The coffee is good, vegan chocolate chip cookie is tasty, and service is very nice. Would certainly return when I'm in the area again.

Google
The rose latte was amazing! Wasn’t too sweet, had a great flavor and a little sweetness. The barista was knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely come here again!

Yelp
Small La Canada coffee shop. Choose local coffee spot over Starbucks any day. Not quite the hang out or work from type coffee shop since seating is limited and it's pretty small. Stellar coffee and baked goods nonetheless. Super friendly staff. We were offered recommendations for coffee and they were a hit. Ordered an iced vanilla latte and a salted maple latter. Yum! Surprisingly plenty of parking in the plaza lot. Not too busy on a Saturday morning. I'm not in La Canada too often these days, but I will definitely choose Constellation the next time I am.

Yelp
Parking was sparse and it was super crowded. Cute interior but nowhere to sit. The coffee was just fine. I don't think I'd come back.

Yelp
Was in the area and decided to give this place a shot. Asked for their most popular drink which is their rose vanilla latte. Didn't really enjoy it. Felt like i was literally drinking a flower. Bakery goods seem to come from a local bake shop. Ordered a Nutella croissant. Pretty good but wished they can or would have warmed it up. Parking: small parking lot.

Yelp
Haven't been here for years and was out and about in their neighborhood. Coffee is great. My half decaf cappuccino was made with artisan-coffee beans and tasted great and was $4.50 + tip. Pretty pastries, great service., chill environment. I won't wait so long to come here again.

Yelp
I was so hoping the coffee here would be good. But it was just your average cup of joe you can get anywhere. Bummer. Space was good and service was friendly though. Not bad if you're in a pinch for coffee in the area.

Yelp
I dropped by this coffee shop on a Thursday morning, hoping to blend my work tasks with a cup of coffee. However, my productivity hit a snag due to the not-so-great wifi. On the upside, the coffee more than made up for it - truly delightful! Despite the compact size, the place was buzzing with activity, and a constant line kept forming. Surprisingly, the service managed to keep up with the hustle and bustle, ensuring a relatively quick turnaround. The cozy, small setting gives off a cute vibe that adds to the overall charm of the place. While my work plans might not have panned out, the positive aspects make it a spot worth revisiting for the ambiance and, of course, the great coffee.

Yelp
Small and cozy coffee spot in La Cañada with drinks and pastries. The matcha tea with oat milk was a bit lacking as it could have had a stronger matcha profile. The iced vanilla latte was mediocre as well as I could not taste the espresso - only the oat milk. Maybe it was an off day for the baristas but both drinks were bland at steep prices. Parking was a bit tough as the parking spots were cramped and limited.

Yelp
After my second visit, I would never recommend to anyone. I got a hojicha latte with no ice because I was going to drink it while driving and didn't want a diluted bev. The cup came barely half filled and I had to ask umm is this all? The guy nonchalantly said yep we give only 6 oz of milk or whatever and the rest is ice. Sure, I understand that cafes may have a certain ratio but come on... this for around $7 w tip ??? A ripoff and a joke of an establishment if they think customers would be pleased seeing a half filled cup. Visually, it looks ridiculous to me. Very unfortunate since it's an aesthetic cafe with decent parking.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick morning coffee on my way up north. Prices are reasonable. $12 for two coffees. Got the salted maple and pour over, both good. Doesn't leave any weird after taste and was not bitter. Pleasantly enjoyed the pour over. The salted maple wasn't sweet either. The barista was efficient and attentive. He definitely seemed like he knew how to brew. If I lived closer I would definitely return. Also, they had a printer there? I think they offer printing services.

Yelp
I really wanted to try this spot after driving by a couple weeks prior. To be honest the coffee was underwhelming. Nearly $15 for both drinks, as a coffee connoisseur I was let down. I got both an oat milk latte and an iced rose latte and was disappointed in both. The latte wasn't fresh and tasted like watered down beans. The rose latte was SO sweet and felt as though soap or perfume was heavily poured into the coffee rather than having rose undertones. The inside has so much potential to embody the name but there was no signs of constellations. Plain walls and a few tables inside. There's plenty of parking out front which is great and the staff was friendly.

Yelp
I was craving a coffee and since I am not too familiar with the area I decided to go on yelp and saw I was super close to Constellation Coffee, so I gave it a shot. The parking here is very tight so be aware of that if you are visiting for the first time. Upon walking in the interior is very cute and trendy. They have bar seating at the window and tables and chairs all around. The service here is great! For my drink, I got the Rose Vanilla Latte with Oat Milk and iced since I love my coffee cold. The drink was amazing and popular for a reason, based on what I have seen on yelp. The rose and vanilla flavor makes the perfect combination. The coffee wasn't overly sweet which was great. I really enjoyed my drink and I am excited to come back and get some work in here.

Yelp
When I looked up best coffee in La Canada Flintridge on Yelp, this tiny place came up. Our drinks, a latte and an iced Chai latte, were both watery. I assume it was a bad day. But we're unlikely to return after watery coffee. If it was say, a highly praised sandwich shop, maybe I would give them a second chance before leaving a review.

Yelp
Delicious and rich coffee. I found this place through yelp because I was around neighborhood shopping and craving coffee. Cute little local coffee shop. The service is great, friendly guy made my coffee . I will definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Honestly, I had higher hopes for this place. I had heard from a friend that they had pretty good coffee, and I popped in just to grab it when I was in la Canada. To be completely honest, the staff was extremely friendly, but the coffee itself was lacking. I ordered one vanilla Rose latte iced and I ordered one brown maple latte iced. Brown maple latte was terrible. We didn't drink it. We ended up tossing it. It had a really weird like aftertaste do it. The roads vanilla was meh.
google avatar

Jasmin S.

Yelp
Great coffee! My family loves this place, and I always forget why until I re-experience the velvety smoothness of their lattes. Would def recommend the iced vanilla latte and banana bread. The line always moves fast, too. And the ambiance is nice, a bit bright but nice.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood spot. Had the Grenade, cold brew with pomegranate. I didn't see any menu of specialty drinks, which would have been helpful, but perhaps I didn't look hard enough. Delicious coffee, though.
google avatar

Joshua B.

Yelp
Absolutely splendiferous!!!! This coffee really gave my tongue a tickle. My friend and I came here to start a business plan for next big thing, but we were so enamored with the business that we forgot to start! My friend is also just going through a really rough time and said that one sip of this coffee cured her paint huffing addiction! She's now 3 months sober :)

Yelp
3.5 but will round up. Was very excited to try it out due to the high reviews, and seems to be a popular spot. I tried the rose vanilla latte and it was underwhelming. Granted, everyone has different tastes, but this was rather bland with no sweetness, which is not my thing. The staff was fine, not too outgoing...they just did their thing. Definitely not a memorable experience from that standpoint. It wasn't too busy or crowded so perhaps I just came during a bad time.

Yelp
Had to kill some time in La Canada this morning and decided to check out Constellation Coffee. The shop was semi-busy with a mix of people chatting and others hard at work. Great ambiance! I had the sugar maple latte and blueberry maple donut that I believe was actually from somewhere else. Both good! The latte was gorgeous but had a certain after taste. Together it came out to almost $12 too which I think was kind of high for the combo. Still--I would love to come back and try some more options!
google avatar

Mauricio C.

Yelp
The service, coffee and pastries were excellent. If we're in the area again we will definitely GO!!! Very chill ambiance .
google avatar

Avery B.

Yelp
The service here is so efficient and even though it is a small space, there is always enough seating. Coffee and tea always taste well made and authentic, and it's perfect when you simply want to go to a convenient local cafe!
google avatar

Mandy W.

Yelp
I was around the area looking to grab some coffee. I came cross this cute hidden gem in the Pasadena area. They offer, cold brew, regular coffee and expresso in various flavors. I got the Vanilla Rose Latte with oat milk, very good! There are tables available , people come in to sit down ans study/work. They are located at a small strip mall but there are enough parking space but very narrow, so be careful when you pull in and out.

Yelp
Excellent coffee for the Crescenta/Cañada area! There's like a bunch of Starbucks on Foothill, you know, places with baristas who can actually work an actual espresso machine. Constellation has been making quality cappuccinos for just a minute, I'm so thankful. I've only had a couple off drinks and they weren't bad, just not the quality of drink I'm used to. Nice smooth transition of microfoam, not scalding (did you know a cappuccino should be immediately drinkable?). No sized caps here! Their specialty drinks are interesting and good and very different from each other- great for a small menu, and their teas cover a nice range also. They use mostly local coffee roasters and a local pastry company. Get the pour over. It allows you to pull out a richer and bolder flavor from the grounds. Though it would take a little longer compared to drip coffee machines, a pour over allows you to control the speed of pouring water to your coffee. If you want a lighter taste, pour faster(let them know (The longer you pour, the stronger the flavor. They get pretty busy in the morning and fill up with laptops but I can usually find a seat. The bathroom is nice and always clean. Parking lot can be tight but again, usually spaces when I go.
google avatar

Wendy G.

Yelp
You can tell is good coffee when the flavor lingers in your mouth. I would make the drive again!
google avatar

Chad W.

Yelp
Small great place where I got work done and met some glorious people. I really enjoyed the rose vanilla latte. Spacious bathroom. Just wonderful.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Amazing coffee and large variety of pastries. We opted for the maple latte, a regular latte, and a chocolate cinnamon roll, and everything was perfect! Maple latte was not too sweet, which is a huge plus. Small parking lot that can fill up quickly on the weekends with some 2-hour street parking nearby. It's a nice place to hang out or get some work done! The tables and seats (no back support) aren't the most comfortable, but gets the job done. Few outlets, free WiFi, and one gender neutral bathroom.
google avatar

Leslie L.

Yelp
The location has really tight space parking spots. Not necessarily the business's fault, but FYI in case you have a large sized car it might be a bit tricky to park. The shop itself is quaint and has a local feel to it. The service itself was okay, nothing exceptional but not terrible either. For drinks, we ordered 1 rosebud vanilla latte. Although the latte art was nice, the flavor of the coffee wasn't very potent. I did ask the barista if I could have a tiny bit more vanilla syrup, and they accommodated me which was really nice. The flavor of the coffee, wasn't my favorite but I understand every shop has its own taste to it.
google avatar

Francoise S.

Yelp
Well! I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the taste and strength of the coffees that we ordered. It's so great to have a choice in town other than Starbucks. Best coffee I've had in town in years. The cost was comparable to Starbucks. The only thing I would complain about is the parking. Very tight to get in and out of the parking lot. One way in and one way out. But if that's the only complaint, well, don't wait to go! It's really delicious and a full body coffee which I love. I ordered the Rose latte and my friend ordered the mushroom coffee. You could actually taste the rose in my coffee! Felt like I was tasting and smelling a slight rose smell with ever sip. But not overpowering. The two servers were helpful, but maybe could be a little bit friendlier in my opinion, but I'm all into customer service. Seems like this place is frequented by locals who work from the coffee shop. It's not fancy, nor overly comfortable, but we managed to sit for two hours without being rushed out. So, yes will most definitely come back.
google avatar

Cynthia P.

Yelp
Best place to grab a bag of beans on this side of town. When you purchase a bag of beans you get a free cup of coffee too! I usually never spend more than 5 min here but the place has a good vibe if you wanted to stay for some reading. Love that this shop promotes local artists and florists! Parking, man oh man, I hate the narrow lot! It can be a pain sometimes. Nothing we can do about it though.
google avatar

Daniel J.

Yelp
The staff is super courteous and prompt, drinks are a delicious pick me up, and the pastries are wonderful! It's definitely a cute place, worth a visit for sure!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
this is my fav local coffee shop to go to, my go-to is the iced or hot hojicha oat latte. i've literally ordered it at least 20 times. the ones i've tried at other places taste too syrup-y but the one here has this perfectly nutty, mildly sweet flavor i love. this is honestly my one silly treat that i get every week that makes my ENTIRE DAY. just a heads up that it's paaacked in the mornings so i try to go in the afternoons.
google avatar

Christy H.

Yelp
Incredible service, coffee & cafe. I'll definitely be back weekly. The WiFi is great and the snacks they have are excellent. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Jennie T.

Yelp
I have to write this review immediately because the first sip of my iced latte was enlightening. Wow - truly one of the best I've lattes I've had all year. Parking can be a little hectic because the parking lot is small and tight but at least there is free parking.
google avatar

Tina L.

Yelp
This is probably the best coffee in the general area. They really know how to make a good Cortada cappuccino latte and their gluten-free options as well as pastry options are really out of this world and fresh delivered every morning. --- 5 stars all the way!! -- The only alternate milk or almond and oat. I wish they would get barista coconut for those who would like it
google avatar

Nora C.

Yelp
Good coffee and pastries. Okay prices though everything is expensive these days. Good customer service too

Aubrey H.

Yelp
First time here, husband ordered salted maple coffee and I ordered a vanilla chai. The employees watched us stand there waiting for our drinks and never told us it was ready. fine. we figured it out eventually. But the bad review is mainly for the drinks. My husbands coffee was trash. like actual trash. My chai was water. Cinnamon water. oh and we ordered a pastry. pastry was hard and cold. I never write reviews. but this was a disappointment. HARD PASS.
google avatar

Charlotte M.

Yelp
The baristas at Constellation really know their stuff! Coffee is consistently excellent. I've been going here for a few years and it's always a treat to start my day with a cappuccino, cortado, or grenade (pomegranate + coffee). Drinks are never too sweet either. Pour overs and espresso are always good as well - the beans are high quality and roasted to perfection. Seating inside is cozy and the staff are so friendly!
google avatar

H R.

Yelp
Ordered a cold brew no ice and this is how high they filled the cup. We're regulars here, low maintenance customers, in and out, we don't stay here to siphon free internet for half the day so this fill wounded us.
google avatar

Candace L.

Yelp
We were in the area because I was participating in a local trail race and happened to misread the start time so we had about 45minutes of free time. Me early??? That's an oxymoron! I'd planned on running on an empty stomach with no morning espresso but that all changed when I said "let's go get coffee". I quickly looked up coffee shops in the area and Constellation came up. Service was great, it was in the 7A hour of a Sunday morning when we walked through the door for a couple of lattes. I ordered my usual iced oat latte and spotted that their pastries looked very similar to many other coffee spots I frequent. Cake Monkey is doing some serious business around these zip codes. I don't normally eat their items but they always catch my eye. This Sunday morning I opted for the spiced donut and it, combined with my latte provided me with all the goodness to have a really fun first trail race back since 2019. Service was friendly and I noticed they had the small sparkling blackberry pomegranate mountain valleys that I live for. I was making a few Easter baskets and wanted to put these in each of them. I was happy to have found the small sizes here. Each time I'm back in this area for a trail race, I'm intentionally arriving early so I can make a stop off here for coffee and a brekke item.

Yelp
Found this nice little coffee shop when we were out for a drive and wanted a caffeine hit. It was what I call "coffee shop late" which means after 3pm when a lot of shops are closed. So I was so happy to see that Constellation Coffee was open till 5pm (6pm on weekdays). They are located in a strip mall with parking in the front and back, there is even a back entrance so you don't need to walk around. And while most places have closed their restrooms to the public Constellations is open, something I was very grateful for :) But of course, it's really all about the coffee right! I got a Cortado which was very good and my son had the Rose Vanilla Latte iced which he enjoyed very much, I had a sip and can confirm it was tasty! There was no inside or outside seating but we did sit on the planter in front to enjoy our drinks which was actually very nice. The shop is roomy with some random items to buy and what would normally be plenty of seating. It was clean but the actually counter was a little messy and the guy that took our orders was not very friendly verging on rude. The lady making the drinks was nice so I'll call that a push LOL
google avatar

Sam B.

Yelp
#73 in my Coffeeshop Chronicles. Service was lacking, as the female employee who took my order wasn't very friendly and seemed unhappy to be there. The coffee was also underwhelming and I ended up tossing it after a few sips. I ordered the rose vanilla latte with oatmilk. I actually love rose lattes, but this drink was completely different from what I'm used to. The latte tasted like straight up rose water and oatmilk, and I could hardly detect any vanilla flavor. It's a unique idea to use rose water so props for that, but it's an acquired taste for sure, and one I wasn't a fan of. So from the unwelcoming service to the underwhelming coffee and the dirty table I had to wipe down myself, I have zero interest in returning. ********************* My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Will definitely return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around eating here

Deborah A.

Yelp
Great pastry Good Coffee Easy to order and fast service! Parking can be difficult but good selection of pastries
google avatar

Tomes G.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops in the area. All the folks working there are great, and make killer coffees. I'm a mocha guy, and I always order it "less sweet" and they hit it perfect each time. They also have a wealth of actually really good pastries. My favorite is the sage+cheese croissant (with the chorizo croissant next), which I recommend you always order "extra toasty", cause then it's next level good. There's a standing level counter at the window facing the beautiful mountains, and more than a few tables. There's a few outlets (I don't usually use those, but if you need them), and it's not usually too crowded with laptop heads so you can pretty much always have chatting and hangout tables if you meet someone there. (That said it definitely has fast rushes and slower periods every day, so be aware.)
google avatar

Karolina N.

Yelp
I like this Constellation coffee location as much as its other location. It's a great place and atmosphere to get some work done - wifi works real well. The coffee is good, vegan chocolate chip cookie is tasty, and service is very nice. Would certainly return when I'm in the area again.

Yelp
We got a Rose vanilla late with almond milk. Yum. Perfect. Not sweet at all. My bf got the Mocha w oat milk and he said it was pretty good. They get their pastries from cake monkey bakery. we tried some sort of chocolate molten cake and it was the bomb. Still dreaming about it. I may go back just for that. Also got the Sage and cheddar croissant which was good too. The server went that one extra step and warmed it and cut it in half when he realized that my bf and I were sharing it. It's a small thing but honestly that little step really goes a long way.
google avatar

Linda S.

Yelp
Simple little coffee shop in La Cañada! Wanted to give this place a try and got a plain vanilla latte with oat milk. It was nothing over mediocre. They don't have many flavors so if you're looking for a fancy latte or a specific type, it's best to go elsewhere. If you want a plain coffee, this place would be for you.
google avatar

Joshua H.

Yelp
it's a nice break from that Seattle coffee chain . . . I found the espresso to be on the sour/fruity side - not my favorite, but I know others like that flavor profile - so this cortado is sadly not for me. I did enjoy the Chagaccino - which seems to be cropping up everywhere . . . mushroomed coffee? Sounds weird, but it's good - no mushroom flavor, so that begs a question or two. I really liked the music selection - but the speakers keep cutting out - which was gratingly hard to listen to, like a radio station in the mountains that keeps losing signal. . . . maybe they're trying to keep patrons from lingering too long. As an IT pro, it makes me a bit cuckoo, there's likely a loose/frayed cable somewhere. They also offer a delicious looking assortment of pastries, both sweet and savory - maybe next time. the staff is super chill - always a bonus.

Yelp
I am so glad there is a cafe like this in La Canada. My wife wanted to go here to eat and do some work. Came here last here Monday, yeah the review is late. The other reviews will give you all the interior details, and yes it's modern but also cute because it really is cafe of the constellation theme, which is right for my wife. She's a sucker for themed businesses. They do have merch to sell but just the service is top notch. That's one of the reasons why I like small business owner shops, as compared to chain businesses. Bring the order to you and really check on your preferences. Order the coffee drinks with oat milk, delicious. My wife didn't like the croissant as much because it was chewy and too think for her taste. Give this place a try, especially if you're local.

Martin K.

Yelp
It's the best coffee shop in town, but personally think that the coffee beans taste a bit burnt and the milk is frothed at too high of a temperature. Has potential and is in a great location! Just needs some tweaking with their cappuccinos
