Contemporary Art Center of Peoria Illinois

My nephew had a piece of his artwork in the 17th annual Art Exhibit so I went over there to check it out! He did amazing of course and it was so awesome to see all the different art pieces that other students had contributed! Some of them are so impressive I absolutely loved being there and obviously I was very proud of my nephew! It was very cool to be able to walk around and look at the art and also be able to explore Preston Jackson's Studio, so fascinating and really happy that I was invited to attend the show! I had never been in Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe but they're located inside of the Contemporary Arts Center as well, going to have to try them out sometime! It sounds like a happy environment, there was somebody playing the piano and lots of people were enjoying their dinner! They always have all kinds of events happening at the Contemporary Arts Center come on by and check it out sometime!

Attended a wedding at night but saw they had a sweet yarn exhibit that I couldn't check out because the museum proper wasn't open.

Excellent art venue, full of local artists! Great place to find or commission an art piece or just enjoy a first friday!

Fabulous. Great performers, relaxed atmosphere, friendly people. Comfortable seating arrangement. Sweet sounds. Nothing but positive things to say about this event. I'll definitely be a repeat.

CAC was the perfect venue for my daughters wedding reception last fall. William and staff were Amazing ! Very professional, helpful,and patient with all of our questions,changes of mind,and requests. Beautiful location and building. Would highly recommend .

We have only been back in Peoria for around 6 months are always trying to find unique places to go. We love art and this was trip worth going downtown and trying to find parking. They feature several artists and you can even go in the studio area where they are working on different projects. I love the fact that they have taken an old warehouse and given it new life. There is also a cafe on the main floor but we did not stop in to eat. We will definitely visit The Contemporary Art Center again.

We used this venue for our wedding reception in October! The space is so beautiful and unique as the art changes in the gallery space. William so helpful in helping us plan the layout and suggesting different vendors to check out! I'm so happy we used this venue!

We love CAC. We frequently go to Five Spot which is a great BYOB and food every Friday from 5:30 to 7:30. Great jazz blues etc. The resident artists are an amazing talented group. Always cool stuff going on.

Live At The Five Spot in the Preston Jackson Gallery is a fun event held at the Contemporary Art Center of Peoria. In this case my cousin's blues band was the featured act. Live at the Five Spot is the Contemporary Art Center's bi-monthly Friday night music event featuring regional talent performing a variety of great music, including R&B, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock and lots more. Attendees enjoy a nightclub atmosphere while unwinding with your friends and family. The music fills the building and you can stroll through three fine art galleries. You can enjoy anything you desire to eat or drink because you bring it. It is BYOB food and drink as well as glasses, plates and napkins. They provide the table and chairs. My family had wine, (corkscrew of course,) cheese, crackers and fruit. We enjoyed the music and even got up and danced to a few songs. It is a great place for groups even in the pandemic as there is lots of space for social distancing. The entrance fee for this event is $15 per person.
