As a returning costumer for years, I would like to give a special appreciation goes to Senada, who is absolutely amazing. She is kind, attentive, and always makes sure everything is perfect from start to finish. Her dedication and passion truly shine through and make the entire experience even better. Because of the quality, service, and incredible team, I haven’t been to another bakery. Conti’s is truly one of a kind!

I did not get a chance to do a full review because I've been super busy, but I placed an order for a navy themed best wishes cake. The presentation exceeded our expectation. The flavors were a hit and not a crumb was left. I would like to thank all staff for making this possible. I look forward to doing business with this bakery again. The price quote for the cake was reasonable and fairly priced and the staff is very friendly.

I ordered my daughter’s 3rd birthday cake through their website since I didn’t have time to visit in person, and the process was seamless. The person who assisted me was very detailed and made sure they understood exactly what I wanted. The cake was beautiful and absolutely delicious! My guests kept raving about it all afternoon. I will definitely be returning in a few months to order my son’s First Communion cake. Highly recommend!

I ordered this custom cake from Conti’s Bakery and I am beyond impressed. The design was PERFECT — vibrant colors, clean details, and exactly what I envisioned for my son’s 7th birthday. I wanted to give Conti’s Pastry Shoppe a big shoutout for making my birthday special. They brought my birthday cake vision to life with my custom order. The cake was very delicious and they definitely took their time to make it turn out the way I wanted. They were very accommodating as well and patient for making sure I got exactly what I wanted in a short manner of time. My experience with them is a 10/10, I would definitely come here again.

I am a frequent customer at Conti’s bakery. I normally go in and grab a bunch of mini pastries and mini cannolis, but this time I had ordered a cake for my girlfriend’s birthday. I ordered the strawberry crunch cheese cake with plain vanilla cupcakes on the side. Not only was the cheese cake absolutely delicious as expected, but the whole process was seamless from start to finish. The girls behind the counter were very helpful with making my order, insuring the cake would be done in time. If you haven’t tried Conti’s I highly recommend you make a visit. I was surprised on my 50th birthday with a strawberry shortcake from Conti's and it was absolutely delicious. Me and my family loved it. it was fresh, light, not too sweet...just A++++. My sister discovered the bakery and we will all patronize from now on. Can't wait to taste other goodies.

The cakes here are delicious. They are known for the Boston Cream pie but everything is great. The workers are courteous & professional. In a part of Morris Park that's changed, Conti's is a great asset. My constructive criticism on Conti's. I ordered 2 cakes online. Paid in full for both last week. They gave me a pickup window 9AM. I show up early & there's a big line. I ask a worker & she says there's 1 line. She states there's 1 line for picking up a cake paid in full, ordering a new cake, getting coffee, getting pastries. Guys NO GOOD! Why pay in full & order a week prior? You should have 2/3 lines. 1 line picking up cakes paid in full only. 1 bread line only. 1 line for new orders. I mean this criticism as constructive

a pound of cookies went from $15 to $22 in a year. I understand the economy is bad, but 10 cookies for $22?? that's highway robbery. I remember when Conties would price the specialty cheesecakes to $30-$35 max. a 12inch pistatchio cheesecake is $46???? i know for a fact the employees dont get paid enough for the price of a cheesecake to increase that dramatically. one of the girls said the pies/cakes are made a week before they're sold, so the price on soon to expire pastries is insane. for $46 dollars I can get a larger and better quality cheesecake in Manhattan. The ladies behind the counter look unhappy and find every request to be inconvenient. this place is definitely ripping you off. UPDATE: I opened the box of cookies for my friend, she reached for the first cookie and as soon as she took a bite, she pulled out a blond hair from the cookie. $22 dollars for cookies full of hair. I'm never going back.

I love this pastry shoppe!! The desserts are delicious. I had the strawberry cheesecake crunch cake. The cheesecake was fresh. The crust was delicious and they give you a large portion. It was around $8-$9. I've also had the speciality pumpkin cheesecake donut and those were delicious too. 10/10 recommend.

I came here today solely based on what I saw on social media . The videos they do certainly work because boy is it busy there ! I pre ordered online because I didn't wanna get there and they're sold out . It was quite a drive with all the holiday traffic . I can honestly say I've never been any where near this bakery . Bronx is a little too far and could be a little intimidating. Anyway I saw a video for the apple pie and pumpkin cheesecake donuts and they looked incredible. I'm not one for cheesecake so I passed on those but I ordered apple pie , apple cider donut a Boston cream and a turkey special donut . So after I tried getting parking for like 20 mins I finally got a spot . As I came down the street I saw the huge line and guessed that must be the place . I thought I could just walk in and give them my name and they pass me the order and I'm out ... no ! You must take a number regardless and wait . I waited about 20 mins not too bad I get it they're very busy . The people there are very nice and are working hard while maintaining a positive attitude. The young girl who helped me had trouble finding my order but someone helped her to find the order . As I left I noticed the line was even longer ! Will I come back ? Maybe but def not before a holiday and if I'm going in that direction. It's a great bakery with an insane selection and good customer service .

Pros: I ordered a custom cake for my gender reveal. The flavor was great and the cake was moist everyone enjoyed it. It was funfetti with dulce de leche moose. I've had other cookies from here, my favorite are the fruit filled. Their caramel tres leche is a must have for me. Cons: I had to wait a long time for pick up, but overall the service was great as long as you remember to take a ticket from outside so that they can call your number to be serviced, if not you will wait even longer. The ambiance is nice but a little cramped. For a cake for 25 people it's about $150.

Conti's is a very good bakery. It's very popular. My family sometimes gets things from here. If you are looking for a fancy custom cake, this might really be a five star bakery - their custom cakes look pretty amazing and might be worth sitting in a bunch of traffic (but I've never tried one). They're famous for their Boston Cream Pie, which is very good and is worth trying. The cannoli are very good, but are no better than the cannoli at a bunch of other Italian bakeries and restaurants around New York. This year we also got an apple pie and a pecan pie. Both were perfectly fine, but neither would inspire me to make the trip. Maybe someday I'll try one of the fancy custom cakes. In the meantime, if I'm ever in the mood for Boston Cream Pie, Conti's is at the top of my list. Tip: if you want to get stuff for a big holiday (for example: Thanksgiving), order in advance. And then still be prepared to wait to pick it up. (It took about 40 minutes to pick up our order the day before Thanksgiving.)

I ordered my birthday cake from Conti's and I absolutely loved the attention to detail in the cake and The quality and taste. It was a red velvet cannoli cream cake and it was DELISH!!! My guests were raving. The ordering process was quick and easy and the cake was delivered in perfect condition!!

First venturing out to Conti''s. I must say it was a very welcoming experience. The staff here are well versed on the goods they sell. Also, knowledgeable on how to customize your fit/need. These team here are the professionals making it do what it do! As soon as you walk in. You smell the deliciousness of what a bakery should smell like. The place is clean and they serve hot and cold beverages. They even have freshly squeezed OJ! I forgot to grab one. This is a neighborhood staple. If you're even in the neighborhood...GET SOME!!!

I came here from the westchester area to try this tiramisu latte! And as a tiramisu lover, I just had to. Let me say, it did not disappoint! It was delicious, very strong yet with a creamy cold foam that ties it altogether. I hope they keep it on the menu because this would be what keeps me going back

Ordering a custom cake couldn't have been easier. The online ordering process was quick and easy. Conti's staff was helpful in answering all of my questions, working within my budget, provided timely responses and accommodating in all of my requests. The custom cake was exactly what I ordered. I couldn't have been more pleased with the process. The chocolate cake with strawberry shortcake filling was YUMMY! The cake was perfectly moist and the filling had just the right amount of sweetness you want in a birthday cake.

The Boston Cream pie is an iconic staple and a must for our holidays. The recipe is ages old and never disappoints!! The smells of all the confections in this bakery ramps of your senses and you end up buying more than you planned for.

I ordered a birthday cake for my boyfriend. It came, but it didn't come as the picture that I wanted so it was false advertising that I didn't like. The cake was OK, but it could've been better as well. It wasn't as moist as I thought it should've been.

Stopped by 1 of my selicious bakeries in the Bronx. The famous Conti's.nyummy strawberry Napoleon cake.. an bx their delicious coffee. Servise is good. Quick too. They set up seating outside, no tables just seats. I sat out ate my dessert and had my coffee. Awesome breeze. Perfect amount of sun. Cons: the male population that visit, pretty much sit outside to smoke 15 cigarettes. Smoke goes to other customers and their childrens faces and we are forced to intake this nastiness or you can leave and not have the lovely experience. 3 stars because smoking is banned in so many places but not here. Smh My tip: move seating for cancer stick users to another location. We don't want cancer.

Took my nephews and niece there last weekend, everyone is friendly. Had the strawberry cheesecake as well as the rainbow cheesecake. Also tried a few other pastries, everything was good.

We ordered our wedding cake from Conti's and they absolutely blew us away! Not only was the cake gorgeous -- exactly what we had envisioned -- but it also tasted incredible. We got so many compliments from our guests on both the look and flavor. The whole process was easy by simply sending an inspo picture and then a custom quote - they were such a pleasure to work with. I've had cake from here a few times. Most recently I've tried the strawberry shortcake and it was so delicious and high quality. The strawberries were very fresh and the cake was soft and yummy! I had two slices, no lie! I never sat down here but it's cute inside too. Special order cakes can be a bit $$ but ready made cakes are decent in price. This cake was similar to Paris baguette cakes. Delicious.

I order a cake for that bakery the cake design was so beautiful but the quality of the cake was bad hard The cake was not fresh at all, it tasted dry like it was made 3-5 days ahead horrible my guess don't like the ask me where I got that cake why is taste like that you need to complain to the bakery , and take the cake home cause nobody like that the chocolate taste like fridge terrible inside taste horrible I call the store I got into a back and forth with one of the owner name Senada she told told me to bring the cake but I don't have time Cause i get out at 530 and by the time she got there was close , I was about to bring the cake today april 2 when I get out for work after I got into a argument cause I was really sad with the service the owner senada said to the other owner I was Threatening Her I was not she was lie I just was talk how i feeling about the quality of the cake I supposed complain for something the I pay my m money was not free at all , she said after that not don't bring cake cause I will not do a refund o fix any issues she make the other man owner to call and ask my sister if she Threatening the owner senada my sister said no said , and he said that's the only thing I want to know, he told my sister the senada want speak to her again she start talk the same stuff to me I start crying cause I was mad , she not find a solution and she put me in hold in phone and after that they hung up the phone I told my sister no worry I will call the department of health and make a big complaint is not about the money is about how the make a horrible quality of cake like that I have a lot video and photo of the disgusting cake inside ... I've heard good things about this place, and they didn't disappoint on my visit. The interior almost reminded me of a bakery that I once lived across from, giving it a nostalgic feel for me. All of their sweets are great, but I liked the Pignoli cookies most; they had a great texture with a fantastic, delicate flavor-definitely a good choice for a coffee pairing. Their service is, likewise, great; in particular, Anita was especially helpful for our freshly baked pie needs for the holidays. I definitely recommend them, for great food and great service that is the icing on top-no pun intended, of course.

We have ordered so many custom cakes from Contis and they never disappoint. we've ordered cakes from my mother's birthday for my son's birthday and my birthday. This year I decided to be creative with my son's cake since he rescue snails and I gave the bakers an idea and they took that idea and knocked it right out of the ballpark. This is so amazing and so delicious. I can't thank them enough for all the hard work that they always do.

Conti's is my go-to for every family birthday. Hands down the best cakes around. This place never misses! And don't sleep on the Nutella coffee... it's absolutely to die for.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST CUSTOM CAKE! My life has been changed! The service was great, especially requesting a custom cake 2 days prior. The team works with me and we're very patient with all of my questions. I ordered a red velvet cake with cannoli filling! Like what?! I never knew that was possible and just trusted their judgement/ suggestions that it would be a great mix. The birthday girl loved the cake and all the party goers loved the cake as well. I will definitely order my future cakes from here going forward. When i went to pick up the cake the staff was very attentive and the ambiance was nice. They are a popular bakery so there was a good amount of people there. Lastly the price was very reasonable and the quality of the pastry's was out of this world! I almost forget the macaroons were a crowd favorite! The birthday girl loves macaroons and was gifted some from Paris and shared that these were better than the ones from Paris! Thanks Conti's for making me look good lol!

The chocolate cake is no good. I've been twice in the past two weeks. My first visit there were chocolate cupcakes with a dollop of caramel on top. I asked the staff if it was filled they told me they didn't know. When I asked if there was a way to find out the young woman told me to buy one and cut it open. I opted instead for a chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting. It cost 3 bucks I think I paid tax bc I used a card. The cupcake was as hard as a brick. As dry as a biscuit. It went into the garbage not one bite taken. Today I went and chose the chocolate mouse cake for 5$ I figured with frosting it wouldn't be dry and hard. Wrong. The creme is nicely done. Airy and not too sweet. The cake is dry and hard and Costcos chocolate crème cake tops this one by 10000%. There was a layer or hard chocolate on top. Too thick almost inedible. The place is beautiful the staff are hit or miss as the young woman who helped me today was quite pleasant.

Stopped in on our way home to N.H. from S. Carolina. With the exception of the lobster tail (we prefer the custard type filling), everything we bought was delicious just like we get when we go to Boston. The service we received was great especially since we had trouble deciding on what items we want to get. Going to a good Italian bakery is very hard for us because we pretty much want all of it. Lol

We buy all our holiday cakes From here. They do amazing custom cakes, the cheesecake is really good, oh the red velvet too. its always a positive experience when you walk into Conti's the staff is polite and patient. especially when the store gets really busy.

Very disappointed with my experience. I clearly requested a heart-shaped cake and confirmed it multiple times (photo, messages, call, and email), yet received the wrong shape. I was then told to pick up the cake at 3 PM, but when I arrived, it wasn't even ready. I had to wait ANOTHER hour, making me late to my event. They also wanted to charge an extra $35 for a photo that was never added, and I've received no response to emails. For the price I paid (plus 20% tip), this level of service is unacceptable.

Absolutely amazing! The pastries are obviously delicious but I have a thing for their macarons. They are delicious! The vanilla ones are my personal favorites. Also the workers are very nice. They are nice people who are willing to help and give suggestions. That's where I found my love for their Boston crème pie! Also the vibes were very nice. It was peaceful and quiet. Also try their cheesecake!

This is the BEST bakery in the Bronx. Saw this cute little box on Tik Tok and had to order it for my besties bridal shower. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. Stellar customer service as well and it was super easy to order and pick up. I will definitely order again!

I was soooooo disappointed with the custom cake I picked up for my daughter. I ordered it weeks ahead of time and paid for it in full. Had a bit of confusion picking it up and wound up waiting for about 35 mins for it. Was so sloppy I think they did it while I was waiting. Wasn't even offered a cookie or a cup of coffee as I stood there for a very long time. The cake itself was very dry, too. I've ordered a few times but the past 3 experiences haven't been pleasant.

Ok, so I waited a few days to have a cool head to write this review. Conti's ( God bless their poor souls) staff needs to learn how to READ READ READ, customer emails before moving forward with a cake order, with that said, I wish I just canceled my order. I ordered my birthday cake a week before and the cake was delivered to my cousin's home, she took a pic and texted it to me. To my surprise t was not the design I ordered, not a problem I said, I called Conti's and they informed me the delivery guy will return to pick up the cake and they will "FIX" it. BIG MISTAKE. The new cake was delivered within one and a half hours later, but it looked like they piled blue buttercream over the white buttercream, which made the cake so sweet and heavy. The filling was a combo of both white buttercream and peanut butter mouse. The cake just tasted awful and my guests and I mean NONE of them liked the flavor at all, and even me. Half of the cake along with the $90 bucks I paid, went straight to the trash. Epic fail. Thanks, Conti's. Never again.

Conti's save my 4 year old's birthday celebration. Very last minute, we decided to celebrate our kid's birthday with family at a BBQ in LI. She shares a bday with her second cousin so we decided to do a joint thing. I had another bakery in mind when I finally got around to ordering the cake. It was very short notice and that initial bakery was closed on both Sunday and Monday, and we needed it for Monday. I asked my sister if she knew of any other bakeries and she mentioned Conti's. I know conti's because my parents have always shopped there for sweets and treats, especially after visits to the dentist (lol) because the office was nearby. I was not convinced that they would be able to do the cake I wanted but I checked them out online and saw a lot of great cakes. What I wanted was pretty simple in comparison so I called them immediately. The person with whom I spoke told me to order through their IG page or come in person since I needed the cake in only a few days. I tried the IG page but did not get a response quick enough so I just went in person as they're not too far from my home. Funny thing is, I got a reply from the IG account a little after completing my order in the shop so they do reply pretty quickly but I didn't want to take any chances. When I walked in, Ciara was the first to greet me. I explained to her what I wanted and she directed me to Brianne (sp?), who was able to answer all of my questions and explain to me what exactly they'd be able to provide me. I asked for a rainbow layer cake with vanilla butter cream filling and icing, and a rainbow ombré icing decoration effect. After hearing their other filling flavors, I decided to also have their strawberry and cream filling added. My daughter really wanted a My Little Pony cake so I went with a rainbow theme and asked that they leave space on top of the cake for a figurine. The cake was ready the morning of, I stopped in and picked it up without any issue. The cake looked wonderful and it was packed very well. We had a 90+ minute drive to LI, including a stop and there was not problem with the cake. I took the advice of placing it on the floor so that it would be flat. When my daughter saw the cake, she was so happy. She loved it. We bought some MLP toys, washed them thoroughly, and placed them on and around the cake. I also bought a MLP candle that was probably too big but my kid loved it all so it worked out. The cake was great. The kids loved it. It was super sweet so I probably should have done all the filling as the strawberry cream and only the icing vanilla buttercream. She had a very special 4th birthday, sounded by family, and aying all day. Definitely one of her best birthdays so far, considering two of them were during the pandemic. I think Conti's will be our traditional bakery for special occasions. They're fast yet professional and the end results are amazing. Also, when ordering, I picked up a Napoleon (a thank you for my sis), a lobster tail (huge and filled with cannoli cream), and a couple pistachio cookies. Even if you're not ordering a cake, they have wonderful desserts, ready to pack up. If you have a dinner party or event at someone's home and you don't want to show up empty-handed like me, stop by Conti's and pick up some Italian cookies, pastries, or any number of their goodies and your host will be singing your praises.

Never heard of this place before until my mother just recently bought a cake for her birthday yesterday. She told me that this place makes nice cakes but then also told me that she was returning the cake because the inside of the cake was hard. Now I felt the cake before she took it back and it was indeed very hard. Now I don't normally purchase pastries or cakes from anywhere other than Artuso's but she decided she would try something new. Upon her attempting to return the cake she said that they offered 40% back for the cake because it was not hard. Furthermore offered other people to taste test the cake, telling my mother she was in the business to make money. That's not how you make money honey. Your product has to actually be good and the customer service has to be spectacular. It's unfortunate that that wasn't the case.

I ordered a customized two tiered cake for my mother's 50th birthday. I barely drove 10 minutes away from the shop before the cake fell over. And it was not a transportation issue. The cake was not supported enough in the box. One long wooden stick was used to support the cake. And short plastic dowels. It was also placed in a box too big. I couldn't even use the cake for the celebration. No way to try to fix it on my own. I went to the shop and they were NOT helpful. Of course they thought they supported the cake enough, but even for the inconvenience no assistance was offered. $225 down the trash. The design could've even been better. I chose the same design I saw on their page and it didn't even look as lavish. This shop was my go to for cakes, but I will no longer be purchasing from this shop. Open for 100 years or not, customer service is not up to par.

Came here after i found it trending on tiktok and bought SO many pastries at once (big mistake) wasted a lot of money and time (drove hour and half) at the end of the day literally everything was stale and mediocre. The girl in the front was asked what type of bakery this was (Italian, French etc) she then said Albanian and had another girl she works with rudely tell her it's Italian and correct her in a bad manner in front of us

I don't know what has happened to this once great bakery but it has really gone down hill. My friend has lived in the area all her life and frequents this bakery. It's a neighborhood spot, the pastries used to be amazing but not it's very clear that they are either prepared way in advance - which leads them to be stale or they are trying to cut the cost on ingredients by buying pre-made or cheaper ingredients. The real kicker is when I tried to order a bridal shower cake for my friend from here. They only use this American buttercream that is way too sweet and tastes artificial. They couldn't incorporate any of the designs we wanted for the cake and honestly as a pastry chef I know they were easy enough to do especially if you are known for making custom cakes. The flavors and fillings were just your run of the mill flavors and they were just disappointing. In the end the cake that we got was just a dressed up Grocery store cake. I almost wished I had gotten one from Bj's instead as it would have been an improvement.

I bought a cylinder cake for my child's birthday. They said ready by 4. I arrived after 4 and was told to be careful because the cake was just finished. Put it on a flat surface so it doesn't break like the floor of a car. The told was brisk and rude. The young woman then pulled out packing tape and said now I'm putting the disclaimer. Which said what she just instructed. Maybe there's an issue of folks breaking cakes and complaining but why persecute me. Great cakes. Second one I bought from them . I have been to this bakery several times and have had several custom cakes made by them. Never disappointed!! If I have a design in mind, without hesitation I know the staffs at Conti can make my vision come to reality. Every single staff there is very friendly and patients when ordering your custom cake. From a simple cake to a very intricate cake, they can do it all. As per the pastries, they are very yummy. Love the Cannoli's and the Boston cream pie. Its s a cute little bakery with yummy food and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Omg their cakes are delicious!! For their price point you cant beat the quality. They are so nice, literally all their staff is amazing. They were so nice a patient with me and the cake I wanted to get designed. It came out beautifully. The work was great, they were extremely professional. If you dont want a custom cake they do have so ready made cakes, also very pretty. They can also deliver a custom cake to you for a fee. If you have to get a cake I recommend you go test tasting first you wont be disappointed PLUS the amount you spend on the cake tasting goes toward the overall cost of the cake. I ordered a funfetti cake and I usually don't eat cake but this cake was so yummy! The color was exactly what I wanted. Everyone loved the cake. Amazing service and great cake!! Gave me exactly what I wanted !!

Between crunching numbers with our accountant, then coming up short on what to bring for my Mom's birthday celebration- I had to think fast. Being that we had to bypass Conti's on our way up to Soundview from Fordham, it came up as my closest Italian pastry source. Right away, Conti's is cozy and liked their apothecary-esque feel. Small front counter and stools, decked out with wall-to-wall wood cabinets, menu items listed on chalkboards, small hexagon floor tiles- all adding a touch of old-fashion. And totally loved these circular wooden chairs like in the back lounge area. Packed house on a Sunday evening, placed my order for $30 worth of goodies. I actually went pastry crazy and ended up with a box of mostly Chocolate cream Puffs, Napoleons, Blueberry & Cream Tarts and these larger Cream cone thingies and Rainbow Cookies- to balance things out. There are Hot beverages on the menu with a Hot 'Coco' listed also- but no Chai. And if you're someone who loves coffee, Conti's might be worth a try. So it seems, Conti's is the go-to place for Italian pastries- in part because of its history, quaintness and vibe. At that moment though, Conti's just came to the rescue real nicely.

I'll start with the cake because it was just that bad. It tasted like ink. It was done poorly. The simplest decorations and they couldn't get it right. I could've done a better job on my own as far as decorating is concerned. If it tasted good, maybe we could've let the bad decorating and wrong color slide but it was like chemical tasting and ugly. This is not the first time they have messed up. They were nasty to my child during Christmas when she asked about unicorn cocoa bombs. The staff is not just rude but I get the feeling they are racist. The way I was treated in store vs others that looked like them was blatantly obvious. It's a shame to see a place we used to go to for every event has gone this far down. Customer service isn't a thing. I was told by the manager "I won't yell at my staff because she was rude to your daughter". That was the strangest response and unprofessional. Shop elsewhere. There are MANY other bakeries with amazing cakes, decorating and great customer service! Oh and more affordable as their small cakes are an arm and a leg.
