The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful in every way. Our visit was in February so the use of the spa & pool was such an added bonus, (probably because we had it to ourselves). Breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room an amazing experience. Free parking. We found the hotel a bit austere in atmosphere, as if it was still a convent, but that was part of its charm for us.

Central location and historical architecture are organically facilitated by organization of sleeping premises, all amenities in working condition. But the rest doesn’t work, the unique spirit of the monastery is not opened by the hotel. The rooms have outdated (but clean) furniture, no drinking water is provided, housekeeping service uses super chlorine detergents. No common area for guest, no working bar or restaurant, the pool doesn’t work

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the cathedral, so very convenient. Check in and out were smooth. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom well equipped. There was only an empty fridge in the room but that wasn’t a problem. There were 2 bottles of water provided per day, but no kettle. Breakfast was a reasonable spread but nothing great, in a dining room that seemed far, far away from the reception. Overall a pleasant stay.

For anyone who has a sense of history, this place is your best accommodation. Though only a four- star hotel, our experience was definitely five-star. It is still a convent but renovated to provide very comfortable rooms. The location is so close to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela making it convenient to go there and explore the city center. Being in an old convent is itself an experience.

This is a nice, historical hotel in a great location. It’s a 4-minute walk to the cathedral. Front desk personnel were very helpful||Our room was on the plain side but was spacious and well maintained. Valet parking is a big plus. We were also surprised with a complimentary bottle of champagne and a box of local chocolates. Not sure why we received them but it may have been because we booked direct with the hotel.||Breakfast was pretty average but they served large cups of coffee which are rare in Spain.||I would definitely stay here again if we return to Santiago de Compostela.

We arrived after completing a 7 day 280 km ride from Porto. What a spectacular hotel venue. This almost 500 year old complex has been restored with immaculate attention to detail. The staff seem to feel the responsibility of providing service in such an auspicious place and are wonderful. We went for a swim in their pool and had it to ourselves. The rooms are well appointed in keeping with the setting. The breakfast room was adjourned with spectacular stained glass windows. Highly recommended, for a pretty penny...

Had an enjoyable relaxing stay. Found all of the staff to be very helpful and even without asking. The room was cosy and comfortable. The historic environment was special. If you have a chance, have a meal in the restaurant. It looks amazing!

This is my favorite hotel in my favorite city in Spain. The hotel is situated a five minute walk to the Cathedral and the historic area with plenty of great restaurants and other historic sites. The hotel itself is very historical. Getting to the hotel is easy and the hotel has plenty of parking. The hotel staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The Rooms I’ve stayed in are modern and roomy with comfy beds and pillows. Room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was great. Restaurant and housekeeping staff were very friendly. I try to get to Santiago several times a year and I wouldn’t consider staying at any other hotel.
