"With its self-described “fat” and “thicc” cookies, Cookie Plug is opening more locations around Vegas. The three-year-old bakery makes cookies that are four inches across and an inch and a half thick. Some of their giant soft cookies include the Firecracker with chocolate and marshmallow, the Pixie Junkie sugar cookie covered in colorful sprinkles, the O.G. chocolate chip cookie, the ultraviolet Purple Haze with white chocolate chips, and the cinnamon-dusted Snooperdoodle. It first opened in Henderson last September. It just opened a location at 4750 West Sahara Avenue near Decatur Boulevard and is currently moving toward opening Cookie Plug bakeries in Summerlin near Summerlin Parkway and Town Center Drive and a location in North Las Vegas near Las Vegas Boulevard North and Civic Center Drive." - Janna Karel

This is the most disgusting cookie I have ever tried. I'm really pissed that I paid 10.00 for 2 cookies to just toss in the trash. The girl was super nice nice and explained pricing. The decore is great looking inside. But the smell of the spot is horrible. My son says it smelled like a garbage can <musty> My son ordered the OG chocolate chip, I ordered the peanut butter choc. Got home and discover I got a plain peanut butter cookie. It is super hard. Not to mention they put the cookies in a ziplock bag. I would not ever waste my time or money here. Very sad and disappointing.

Google
Cookie presentation looked great but unfortunately did not taste as fresh as we'd thought. Cookies tasted very sweet. They were hard and kind of disappointing that we had to take and bake. Price was kinda expensive for the size of each cookie. Glad we have another place to go to for a treat option in our neighborhood, on the way home or to school or work. Service was very friendly. Atmosphere was awesome, colorful artwork.

Google
Definitely by far the worst cookies I’ve ever had in my life. So disappointing! My 5 year old even said every flavor tastes like plastic. They definitely taste like chemical. Bummed I wasted $20 they went right in the trash 😳

Google
Meh. Really wanted to love it! I got the classic chocolate chip bc that's my go-to when comparing cookies. I took 2 bites and gave up. Best description: a really big Pillsbury cookie served in a ziploc bag. #Miss

Google
I hate to leave such a bad review but I don't want anyone to waste their money like I did. The only saving grace here was the really nice girl working the front. On the digital sign the 12 pack of minis is listed at $15 but it cost $20 instead with a paper sign on the front display table. They were all very hard and did not taste good at all, in fact my 3 year old daughter spit out the sprinkled cookie. There are also air pockets so big that sometimes you're biting into air. The bad reviews are true unfortunately. Not really a fan of the woke branding either.

We needed something sweet to bring to a party, so we decided to give cookie plug by the house a try. Upon entering you can see and smell that the cookies are baked on site. They have a big selection of different flavors that seem to have names like a smoke shop. The girl at the counter was friendly and helped us with a couple questions. We went with a dozen full size cookies. Pretty much 1 of each flavor. Every cookie I tried was really good. The cookies are pretty big and filling. Typically me and my wife share a couple cookies. They did have other items on the menu, and to my surprise dog treats. I didn't get the treats this time, but will be back in the near future.

Google
Loved the Cookies just very disappointed in the bottle that's promoted for the lemonade it's not the bottle in the pictures. Just a regular baby bottle. Really wish I could have gotten the bottle that's being promoted but I ended up getting 4 of these regular baby bottles such a disappointment 😞😥😥 and it was my birthday the first time I went there. Really wish I could have gotten the bottles that was being promoted on their website 😭😢. Also the Drink didn't taste very good it tasted like fermented juice and it smelled horrible I ended up just throwing out the drinks when I realized that they were spoiled and not good to drink at all. It's like they never changed out the liquid in the machine and just kept selling what they had in it as well as it not being cold at all it just tasted horrible so again it was my birthday and I was impressed with the Cookies but the drink was very disappointing and I really wish I could have gotten what I initially paid for as it was promoted not only on Google but on the website as well.

Google
Man, I hate that I have to write this review. I don’t take writing reviews lightly, but after my experience, I feel compelled to share how disappointing this was. To the franchise owner, I sincerely apologize for being so critical, but I have to be honest— the cookies I purchased here were, without exaggeration, the worst dessert I’ve ever had in my life. They were hard as a rock, tasteless, dry, and completely inedible. For $30, I expected something at least enjoyable, but instead, my fiancée and I both took one bite, looked at each other, and immediately regretted driving 15 minutes out of our way to try them. To make matters worse, as we were driving home, my fiancée said, “I wish we could just have another one of those take-and-bake Walmart cookies your dad made. Those were so much better.” Honestly, I’d have to agree. If this place sold Walmart cookies instead, I think people would enjoy those far more than what we had tonight. I strongly recommend the bakers at Cookie Plug try Chip Cookies on Eastern and Silverado Ranch to understand how good cookies should taste. The recipe here needs serious improvement. Finally, the cashless policy is an additional inconvenience. While I understand it may streamline operations, it limits customer options and is frustrating for those who prefer to pay with cash. If I could give zero stars, I would, but unfortunately, Google only allows one. I don’t normally write reviews, but I can’t let this experience go unmentioned. I hope this feedback inspires change because what we had was unacceptable.

Yelp
Great cookies. I like the variety pack of small ones to try everything and the big ones are great too. Fun shop design too.

Yelp
while waiting for our pizza next door we decided to check out Cookie Plug. when we walked in the music was BLASTING so damn loud my wife and i couldn't even hear each other talking. my daughter was holding her ears. when whomever was working there decided to turn the music down, we were standing at the counter, without being even acknowledged while the young lady was busy talking on her cell phone which seemed to be a personal call as she was casually joking around. we just left and likely won't be returning, will advise others not to try this spot as well. needless to see, please get better at training staff on customer service and not making the music so damn loud. ridiculous.

Judi M.

Yelp
These were the worst cookies I have ever had. Hard as a rock even after they were heated

Dee G.

Yelp
I found this place in door dash and omg it's so good and the cookies are so thick! Filled with flavor. I was obsessed with the whole vibe of the box ! Super cute. I will definitely go back And try the other flavors. Worth the money.

Yelp
With The Cookie Plug on Blue Diamond & Rainbow opening their doors just recently, my boyfriend and I went here to try some of their delicious cookies, as it's close to his house. They can be found between Mr. Moto Pizza and the future Togo's Sandwiches. A punny place ("doughp" dealer, get it?!) with cool artwork and old school hip hop music playing in the background, The Cookie Plug has everything imaginable that you can find at a cookie place. They have cookies that come fresh out of the oven or you can buy them in a frozen pack. Also included are stickers that you can take back with you. All places should provide stickers for their customers! We looked at their menu online ahead of time and we already knew what we wanted to get from here. We ordered the following - (2) firecracker s'mores, (1) pixie junkie sugar cookie, and (1) pink elephant strawberry cheesecake. The firecracker was for me and the pixie junkie and pink elephant were for my boyfriend. The ladies working there were super friendly and the service was super quick. At first, the cookies were incredibly sweet and we only ended up only having half of them, but we got used to the flavor the next day when we finished them. The firecracker had that gooey melted marshmallow on top which included actual toasted marshmallows and chocolate chips. It's like I was eating an actual s'mores at a campfire. My boyfriend said that the pixie junkie and pink elephant were really tasty. And yes, they were "nice and thicc", according to the box they came in. This was a great place to visit. Will definitely recommend to everyone I know.

Travis R.

Yelp
This place served us the worst cookies you could pay for. They tasted freezer burnt, she heated them up so we had a warm bite of hot garbage. There was no one in there, they had trays and stacks of cookies and its no wonder, they aren't good. Sadly this place will be going out of business soon.

Liz G.

Yelp
This cookie place just opened up near my home so I decided to check them out because it was my husband's birthday and I figured why not grab a few cookies for him. I know that this location is still new, but it was very chaotic. There was one girl behind the counter that knew what was going on. Everybody else seem to be lost. I asked the girl behind the counter if she could run me through the process of how ordering goes and if she could tell me about the cookies. She basically just told me that the cookies are on display and I pick from there. I was expecting her to recommend her favorites or tell me about what makes these cookies special but I didn't get that experience. I ended up going with a deal they had for four cookies. The cookies were displayed on a counter without any glass. You just tell the girls behind the counter which ones you want and they grab them out of the cookie rack right behind. The overall ambience of the store fits the name. They had old-school rap music playing in the background and the store front seem to be clean. I couldn't see much in the back area. When I went to pay the person ring me up needed help because she couldn't figure out the deal in the computer system. Someone from the back ended up coming out to help her. When I got home, we decided to try out the cookies. They were not very good. I ordered a carrot cake cookie and the carrots were still raw and very crunchy. I thought that they were gonna be soft and crumbly, but to my surprise, they just kind of fell apart. However, the internal part of the cookie was still doughy. My kids wanted to try the cookie that had Flintstone cereal in it and it seemed to be kind of burnt on top and again uncooked in the middle. Nobody told me anything when I was at the store, but I noticed that when I was going to throw my cookie box away that it had directions for reheating the cookies on the box. I'm not sure if you're supposed to cook the cookies when you get them home but I didn't do that. My experience was mediocre and the cookies were disappointing. I had high expectations for this location and the cookies. My experience didn't warrant a 5 star review. I understand the overall concept of being the cookie plug and the graffiti matches the idea, but they are not my plug for cookies. We'll be back in in a few months to try again.

Yelp
We loved these cookies! When we would say Crumbl is 3 stars they are too sweet inconsistent and way over hyped these were great. Crispy on the outside gooey in the middle our only complaint is they were a little too sweet. Overall these are our favorite cookie that we've ever had from a location other than homemade. We had two chocolate chip cookie, one fruity pebbles and one purple cookie. They were all amazing and we'd get them again. Well give a better assessment when we go into the location we read reviews it's hit or miss but the cookies themselves are great. Also, heat them up when you get them! The gooey center is the best.

Yelp
I went the day after grand opening. The service was good. Everyone was helpful! You can tell they are still working through kinks. But overall they did good for their second day being open. I like they provide samples. Therefore you know if you like it before you buy it. Cookies were good and big is size. We froze them since we can't eat everything in one sitting. The cookies are soft inside and have a hard outside. Personally I like my cookies that way but the hubby doesn't. So far we had: 1. Purple Haze - 8/10 2. Good Luv - 7/10 3. ChocolateXTC - 8/10 The cookies are big so my family and I cut them into 4s so we can try multiple. We order 2 drinks as well: 1. Purple lemonade- 6/10 2. Slush - 1/10 (had no flavor) The ambiance went with the theme. Everything looked really clean as well. Overall I gave it 3 because the cookies were good but didn't care for the drinks.

Taylor G.

Yelp
Stopped by for the grand opening, it was buy 2 drinks and 4 cookies, get 8 cookies free! The staff were so nice and helpful, and they were handing out samples. Way better than Crumbl cookies too! Love the ambiance of this place, super fun! They have drinks and dog treats too! They also have KETO cookies for when you're dieting and still want something sweet!! Definitely will be returning here!

Emily K.

Yelp
I've been waiting for so long for this place to open. Got my cookie fix with my faves OG and Purple Haze. Slightly crisply edges and warm and gooey on the inside. Perfectly baked There was a line but it went quickly. Service was amazing and staff were welcoming and helpful. The place is clean and there are cool murals on the wall for photo ops (especially for Knights fans!). Will def be back to try the other flavors.

Crislyn O.

Yelp
I wish I took more pictures of the cookies, but I was too busy enjoying the #*%! out of them. My husband and I stopped by from out of town because we've always wanted to try the ones near us. We ordered four cookies and they are HUGE! Totally worth the value. Because they cookies are so large we had to save some for later, and they hold up well freezing and microwaving. The texture is perfectly gooey and crispy. I bake a lot and I've been thinking about how to replicate that texture at home but I'm stumped so I guess I'll just have to come back ‍. We tried the OG, chocolate xtc, strawberry cheesecake, and purple haze. They were all great but I love anything strawberry so that was my personal favorite. Today was their grand opening and it was a fun atmosphere with music, face painting, and a big ol throne for a photo op. The service was awesome, everyone was super helpful and nice. I also really enjoy the theme, it all just feels so well-thought out and throws in the right amount of humor and cleverness to the experience. Location is good, parking was easy.

Liz O.

Yelp
These cookies are awful. They taste like...plastic? I can't put my finger on it. Save your money.

Sarah F.

Yelp
Employee was really nice and cookies are big and good 1st time we loved it. We will Be back

Dru Z.

Yelp
The two cookies that I bought just wasn't very good. I got the s'mores and flavor of the month or something which was carrot cake. Both had a very distinct flour smell and aftertaste, which was not appealing. I don't think it was raw inside, but it sure tasted like it. They describe the cookies as part cookie, part cake, and part brownie, but I just don't think they were executed very well. There is a lot of cookie competition out there, and if you're charging $5 per cookie, it better be good. From a marketing perspective, I understand that they are trying to be and look different with the urban / graffiti / street vibe but it doesn't match up with a spot that's charging $5 for an undercooked cookie. I wish them the best, but time will tell if they can survive long term in Vegas.

John B.

Yelp
Been eyeballing this place while it was being built, and stopped over for the grand opening. I'm giving it two stars because all I got to have was two samples as I was waiting in line. The grand opening was disorganized, and honestly wasn't worth the wait as I saw it from the cookie sample. Didn't seem like anything special as far as a cookie goes, and I hope to one day be wow'd by when I actually get to go inside and buy some. But I didn't get to go inside, because the line was long, to be expected, but that's not what made me walk away from the line. What did it for me is the owner (assuming the owner as he was the only one communicating to people outside) came over and asked a bunch of people at the end of the line to start moving toward the wall along the left of the entrance because we were spilling out the curb. He was so very quiet and passive however that where a few of us did move, the line didn't. So then new people coming up got into the back of the line that didn't move and those of us that did move got skipped over by new groups of people and it just made it that much less appealing. No coordination, or any attention to this from the owner or staff, and that was enough to have me walk away. I'll try again another day, and hope the chaos gets sorted.

Nery I.

Yelp
Super Hard from the outside and uncooked on the inside, definitely not to my liking all I taste is flour and sugar don't think I will go back

Gina G.

Yelp
I'm so glad we found this new cookie plug place. They have so much flavors to choose from, my favorite one is the purple ube. But we literally ordered all the flavors. They are so delicious. You will not be disappointed and they are so addicting. They are perfect for parties and all occasions!!!! Seriously, you will not be disappointed! I will definitely be coming back. Friendly staff and great vibes. I love this new place!!!!!

Ana M.

Yelp
I am very picky with cookies, cakes & desserts especially when I am traveling and trying out new places. This place just opened & family lives nearby so we went to check it out. My experience was amazing! Service was great & people were super helpful & friendly. Treated me like a person, not a number like many other places. I came in happy & left happier. Very clean & new inside. Now about the cookies- they were huge, very pleasantly appealing & tasted so, so yummy. Got one of every flavor to share with the family (split into 1/4 for sample sizes & everyone loved them!) My favorite is the purple one. Mmmm. So delish. Reminded me of ube crinkles that's popular in So Cal. I will definitely be back for more yummy purple cookies!

Chris R.

Yelp
The Plug is legit.. don't let the prices scare you, the product def meets the cost. Bought two boxes and put one in the freezer- 3 weeks later (was out of town traveling) threw them bad ones in the oven, maybe even one in the micro- and they came out fresh as everything! 10 O.O. 10 fire sho!

Sara B.

Yelp
These cookies were horrible, especially the little ones that come in the plastic tube. I was embarrassed that I had given them to someone after I tried to eat one. It was hard as a rock, even after heating them up. We bought 2 of the regular size cookies and 2 of the tubes with the 6 mini cookies. $30 wasted on them. I'll stick with Crumbl Cookies.

Ren R.

Yelp
The employee explained cookies and how to order well. The cookies were good but kinda very similar to crumbl cookies. Although a little harder on the edges and soft in the middle. We tried the strawberry cheesecake, peanut butter and chocolate, purple velvet (ube) and the s'mores flavor. Those are not the exact names as i cannot remember them all. I liked the strawberry one best.

Pam B.

Yelp
Just got 8 cookies today and was really disappointed. The sugar cookie alone was hard as a rock, the clerk even said maybe should microwave it to soften it. Never had that happen at any cookie place, sugar cookie just stayed hard and was actually inedible for my 8 year old grandaughter . I mean a sugar cookie? Wont be going back unfortunately.

James V.

Yelp
Cookies are great! Staff at all locations I've been to are cool and friendly. Just wish they had lids for their dranks. I would even pay a little extra. Check it out, but also bring a container for your drank if you're doing a take out order.

Jermon F.

Yelp
Cookies were good but not a fan of my son My cookies being packed like a sack of weed. Using baby bottles for the drink as if it's lean.... That shit is weird. Y'all selling cookies dude, cookies! Kids want cookies, don't put that concept of drugs in there minds and hands. Not cool

Bella K.

Yelp
I went to this cookie place, and honestly, it was a disaster from the moment I stepped in. The vibe was all off--like they didn't even want to be there. The workers were so rude, barely even acknowledged us when we walked in. One of them literally rolled their eyes when I asked a simple question about the flavors. The cookies, if you could even call them that, were dry and tasteless. I tried a chocolate chip one, and it felt like chewing on cardboard. I'm not exaggerating. They were overpriced too, which made the whole experience even worse. When I finally got to the counter, they didn't even get my order right. The worst part? When I mentioned it, they acted like it was my fault and just shrugged me off. To top it off, the place was dirty--crumbs everywhere and the tables were sticky. It's like they don't even care about the basic things that make a good cookie shop. I won't be coming back, and honestly, I'd recommend anyone to stay far away from this place. There's nothing good about it at all. The workers were so so rude. It was 2 girls working and one of them was getting off and starting being rude.

Miguel A.

Yelp
These Cookie Plug cookies are soooo good! My favorite is the OG and Crunch Nutty. I will be definitely coming back. This is going to be my new cookie fix spot.

Frank M.

Yelp
I couldn't wait for this place to open. I ordered a dozen for my family and one look after I opened the box when I got home and it was like a batch made in heaven. They did not last. My favorites were the purple haze, pink elephant, OG, and crunch nugget. These cookie are no joke- huge and delicious. My wife said when I was eating them that I reminded her of the Cookie Monster. Om Nom Nom Nom.

Susana A.

Yelp
Went in for their grand opening... they gave us the wrong cookies in our order of 12 and they were mostly all raw inside. Super disappointed... looks like they were so busy they didn't bake them through to keep up. The taste of these wasn't great either.

Ron S.

Yelp
Got the four pack of strawberry, og, bam bam, and snickerdoodle. All were great, but the strawberry is my favorite. Will definitely come back!

Vee T.

Yelp
Well super disappointed in this place. I have been waiting for them to open and finally went last night. They posted 50% off all purchases for "Tax Day" so we went across town last night with my 3 year old at 8pm (an hour before they closed) and brought a handful of people with us. The staff was super nice and the place is cool but when we went to order, we all showed the ad and they said it was a misprint and they couldn't offer the deal. I showed them how it had their address and suite number. The super nice girl behind the counter called the owner and the owner said it was for the Sahara location then said it was just for California. They wouldn't offer the deal so we got a few cookies and left. The cookies were ok but super dry (granted, it was an hour before closing). So disappointed in my first experience that I was so excited about and embarrassed that I brought a bunch of people by showing them the ad. Won't be going back or recommending this place again.

Yanitza M.

Yelp
Best cookies ever!!! I love the variety of flavors and I am so happy that this location opened up nearby. Service was a 10/10 and I'll definitely be returning.

Aspen R.

Yelp
This place is amazing! great cookies great costumer service. The lady insides is so sweet and kind!

Kaylie B.

Yelp
Dense, hockey puck cookies. I'm not a fan of this type of cookie so I didn't like cookie plug and won't ever come back. Doesn't taste or look fully baked. Mushy everywhere but the top part. Overly sweet and just too much. The prices are also crazy. $5 for a single cookie?? And it tastes like crap? No thanks. I would rather spend money at crumbl. The interior/ambiance also feels tacky? I guess it's not my scene or type of place, so I don't want to disparage the business, but if you also don't like barely baked cookies this place isn't for you.

Sophia F.

Yelp
My kids were obsessed with Crumble Cookie and recently they shut down their blue diamond location, so when I seen Cookie Plug was opening in the near location I showed my kids and looked awesome online . We ended up getting the 4 cookies for 18.00, and the cookies were so small . Thin and all burnt around the edges . They didn't even eat them and I had to throw them away . The service was ok. My kids said they did like the graffiti and the look of the inside . But I won't be returning.

Peter F.

Yelp
Cookie Plug is located in the Southwest part of the valley on South Rainbow and Blue Diamond. Their specialty is thicc cookies with unique flavors. I purchased the four pack for about $20 so that I can try the different flavors. Flavors like strawberry cheesecake, chocolate chip, and s'mores cookie. Service is top notch because it was my first time and staff took the time to explain everything. This location is new and very clean. It's a smaller shop so seating is limited.

Edwin G.

Yelp
I went to this place on their grand opening. Management and staff have amazing service. Cookies are big, warm and soft. Lots of flavors and options. These are the best cookies in Vegas. I can't wait to come back to try different flavors. I will tell all my friends and family about this cookie place. If they are this good in their first day open I can only imagine how much better they will be after an month or two. All the kinks will be ironed out.

Leslee G.

Yelp
First time there, didn't realize cookies wouldn't be served warm and had to heat up in microwave when we got home (wish the girl at the counter could have FYI'd us as we told her it was our first time there). Couldn't eat them room temp, outer half of cookie was hard and overcooked. Thought we paid for fresh cookies, not fresh at all.

Lise K.

Yelp
Indifferent, not happy to be here attitude. Cookies average, so for $5 a cookie, when the counter person is unwilling to help describe or suggest anything. I say spend your money elsewhere, where it is appreciated.

Michael Perez ..

Yelp
Won't go back to this location after they refused to accept my cash but they'd accept my tip in cash.

R C.

Yelp
This new cookie place is amazing!! Lots of interesting flavors. The aroma of the freshly baked cookies makes me feel warm and fuzzy. My personal favorite is the purple ube. They're so big that can be shared with 2 to 3 people. The servers are very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back soon to try the other flavors, I highly recommend this place.

Erin F.

Yelp
A major disappointment after having had Crumbl in our community the last few years. After Crumbl's relocation I was really hoping this was going to be our new "go to" cookie place. We got a box of 4. In general I'd say they were all overcooked compared to our liking- only leaving a very small portion of the center chewy. They were all mildly... bitter (?) compared to the sweetness of their competitor. The staff were friendly and outgoing. We liked that they had samples.

Roe K.

Yelp
The best keto cookies I've had! Seriously, I've tried many, and most at not very good, but Cookie Plug perfected it! I've tired all the keto flavors, and amazing! My husband is hooked on the purple haze and the OG, but all the flavors are delish, and they don't "crumbl" lol We also love this location the staff is super friendly and service is fantastic! Thank you, Cookie Plug, for making our lives a little sweeter

Lew S.

Yelp
Went there for the first time. Staff was very nice and friendly. I considered that in my review. The cookies were just average to me. I prefer other places myself. The cookies were $5.00 each, was hoping to love it but just didn't.

Alex A.

Yelp
Alright I'm starting to become a Cookie Plug expert I think, but I'm here to bring back another tip. I went again and wanted to try the drinks cause I see a lot of polarizing reviews on them. Some people love them some people don't and I think I got it. This is another one where let me set your expectations- these drinks are MILD, they aren't super sweet like you would expect of a deep purple drink, but I asked and they told me it was to not be overly sweet when combined with the cookie. To me this made perfect sense, but also they're not as good on their own because of this. They do pair well with a cookie though and also ask them about mixing the slushy with the liquid to make it not so thick. Overall, I think they're great and I appreciated the helpful staff once again answering all my annoying questions so I could come report to all of you ha

Ed G.

Yelp
Cookie was awful, seemed to be raw in the middle. I was up all night with stomach pains. The store was small and cramped and a terrible vibe. The servers were weird and out of it almost, like they didn't know they what they were doing, overall I'd stay away from here

Eric K.

Yelp
Service was ok, cookies not bad, the drinks had no taste, tasted like Kool-Aid and they forgot to add the sugar?!. Place was nice looking and clean

Baby T.

This is not my first-time trying Cookie Plug. The excitement was based off my experience with the other location. I normally have to travel across town to get these cookies. I was stoked to see a location near me. I spent $45 on a dozen cookies. Most of the cookies looked slightly burnt but still kinda raw on the inside. I got the special stash (Carrot cake). It was so under cooked it stuck to the dang box, then fell apart when I tried getting the cookie un-stuck. So I just had to leave it right there in the box. The cookie has a thick crust, but the middle is as thin as a regular cookie. I don't remember the cookies at the other location being like this. Maybe they should have done a few trial runs ... get the oven temps and cooking times right before opening. I don't know. I'm mad I spent $45 on this BS. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location.
