"Cool Moose Cafe has been a Jacksonville staple since 1998. The restaurant is known for its wide variety of globally-inspired breakfast items like Irish hash made with grilled potatoes, kohlrabi (German turnip), Brussel sprouts, cabbage, corned beef, and topped with eggs. Cool Moose Cafe also has an entire section of the menu dedicated to vegetarian options with dishes like a vegetable breakfast burrito and an egg white omelette with veggies and feta cheese." - Megan duBois

Such a cute and quirky spot! Cool Moose Café has a cozy, welcoming vibe with a fun mix of décor and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. One of the highlights is their self-serve coffee bar—bottomless and perfect for coffee lovers who like to sip and sample different blends at their own pace. You order from a QR code, and while it’s a casual setup, the whole place feels like a team effort—everyone is friendly and helpful, from the staff to the regulars. On our first visit, they even brought us a complimentary muffin just to say welcome, which was such a thoughtful touch! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portions that left us full and happy. This place definitely stands out as a must-stop café, whether you’re a local or just passing through. We’ll absolutely be back!

Atmosphere is 8 stars, at least!I love it when I get a chance to drop into Cool Moose for a delicious breakfast and/or some coffee. Coffee is Serve Yourself in the best style of diner mugs and offered in a variety of roasts and flavors. The seating area is uncrowded and comfortable with the perfect mix of natural and ambient lighting. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and never been disappointed in taste or portion sizes. They offer Order&Pay from your seat, but that doesn’t mean that you are left to your own devices - a friendly server will also be attendant to your needs if you need menu/ordering help or anything additional for the enjoyment of your meal. It’s one of those places that is perfect for a solo breakfast or a date/friend/family outing. There are also little sidewalk cafe tables in the morning shade for outdoor dining, or the perfect neighborhood spot to walk up with your 4-legged breakfast/lunch date. I could simply live at this table by the window, drinking bottomless coffee and reading or just soaking up the vibe!

First time in. Hostess greeted and seated quickly right next to the window, perfect. Placed order and no long wait. Server and several other employees checked on us and were so pleasant. Food - DELICIOUS 😋

I’ve been a customer of the Cool Moose for 27 years. I started going in the late 90s when they opened, I’d tag along with my mom and her friends on the weekends for breakfast and lunch. I come back from time to time for the nostalgia. Last trip was just a few years ago, the place was still perfect: cozy, great coffee, great atmosphere. I know this sounds dramatic, but I literally almost teared up seeing how much this spot has changed during my most recent visit. No longer full service, we had to order on an app on our phones. My order was wrong and there was no one walking around for me to flag down to ask about it. The person who dropped the food at the table didn’t even ask if everything looked right, they just quite literally dropped the food and walked away. Where’s the customer service in that? The website boasts about how this cafe is the neighborhood spot where everybody knows your name - that is how it used to be, it was like stepping into Central Perk in the show Friends. Unfortunately, the cafe has turned into yet another hip, quick-turnaround place to get mediocre scrambled eggs. As sad as it is, I won’t be coming back.

Google
The Cool Moose is a must for breakfast or lunch anytime we are in Jacksonville! I tend to go for the brioche french toast or vegetable hash but today I tried the fried green tomato eggs benedict special. It was so fresh and delicious with a perfectly soft poached egg and light creamy sauce. Nicely seasoned home fries finished off my meal (skillet cooked not deep fried!). We enjoyed a couple cups of Green Mountain coffee (one while we briefly waited for our table outside) and mimosas. The staff was friendly and attentive from start to finish! 👍🫶

Google
Best customer service I've ever experienced at a restaurant. Food is bomb. I got the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken. Because it was my first time, they gave me a griddled blueberry muffin for free too, and I'm very glad since it's something I would never get myself. Absolutely delicious.

Madison Hoskins

Google
This is an excellent food option. We got the ultimate sandwich and the chorizo eggs benedict. The ultimate sandwich was huge but so delicious! I highly recommend the potatoes. This place has a coffee bar with several fun brews that you can get unlimited refills. There is also an outdoor seating option if you would like to bring your dogs. Also, all the staff was friendly and helpful. Several staff members were walking around and cleared our plates almost immediately after eating.

Yelp
This is an interesting place. The menu that is handed to you does not have prices on it. The scan of the menu does have prices. And you can order and pay for it thru your phone. Or you can walk up to counter and order but you get hit with a 10% fee. Either way it is very eclectic style of restaurant. Had the rise and shine breakfast and did the self serve coffee bar with a pretty good selection of regular or flavored coffee. I ordered my breakfast with English muffin. And it was grilled. Very good. Breakfast was very good and people that work there are very helpful. Just a bit different style of restaurant. Still worth going and possibly going back now that I know the routine.

Yelp
It's been years since I've been to Cool Moose & my has it changed. I wish I could say for the better. They only take orders at the cashier or on a QR code at your table. The food choices have not changed much. The menu does not show pricing. This forces you to go online to see prices. The Grilled Veggie Pita was tasty with Pesto & Feta Cheese. The 2 egg breakfast with 2 Turkey sausage patties were ok. Ambiance is informal. Though the two wait staff I saw are very nice, they lost the warmth I remember so well. I might as well get my food from a vending machine. Not a favorite anymore. They've lost the lovin' feeling. Sad.

Yelp
Went to this establishment for a group meeting of about 25 registered people. Only about 9-10 showed up. Unfortunately the group leader hadn't called ahead to let them know or was there early to get things set up for said group meeting. I have to say although they weren't expecting such a group with this being a small cafe, they did an amazing job of placing us with not too much of a wait time. I had the basic breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, bacon hard cooked. The eggs weren't my idea of scrambled more like flipped and were a little running inside, but not terrible. Others had different menu items, and when asked how it was the answer was " alright." I didn't take pictures, completely forgot after all the confusion about meeting the people and not being expected. Have to say the perks for me was the self serve coffee and buy one mimosas and get one on weekends was a notable mention for my returning.

Yelp
Cool Moose. I love you. This place is amazing for just having a great breakfast menu while being cool and relaxed. The locals will always be in the dining area and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The owners are super nice and hire staff that are happy to serve. I usually keep it simple but if I love you at all, I've brought you to eat here. Please try their Chicken and Waffles. The weekends will be busy and they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It feels amazing to support a small business that cares to produce good food.

Crystal W.

Yelp
It was my first time here and was pleasantly surprised by the solid choice for breakfast in Riverside. Tips: 1. Buy 1 get 1 free mimosas on weekends. Can choose OJ or pink lemonade as the mixer. 2. Arrive early when it opens at 8 AM. Gets crowded pretty quickly and not much seating inside. They anticipate a wait so they even put chairs outside for people to sit while they wait. 3. No need to tip. There is a built in 10% tip to your bill. Very European of them. Plus, any server can help you. You aren't assigned to a waiter. 4. If you have to get 1 thing, get the warm toasted cranberry muffin. We got a complimentary free serving and it was so good!

Yelp
Food is delicious, the service was great, and the coffee / tea bar was fun! Tried this restaurant for lunch and we enjoyed every bite. Be ready to order and pay online, I recommend taking a look before you get to the restaurant so you're not overwhelmed with the process. The gratuity is built into the prices and the process was really easy and convenient.

Kathy T.

Yelp
Fried Chicken Sandwich and Garlic Fries. AMAZING great atmosphere and top notch service. Coming back for 241 mimosas and bloody mary's on the weekend.

Chris M.

Yelp
I am visiting from out of town and stopped in here just to grab a cuppa coffee. Right off the bat the service was excellent and I was greeted very warmly. Felt like a very local quaint establishment. The owner were sitting at the bar and greeted me. also this is the reason, I always go to local establishments over the big coffee shops. Good coffee too

Christine Z.

Yelp
The food here is super. And the blueberry coffee is also amazing. It's a simple place where there is limited service but yet they still take such great care of you when you order. Enjoy

Yelp
The Cool Moose cafe....why have I never been here before? Needed to pick up some items in Riverside, so I googled breakfast spots near me. Cool Moose popped up...so I looked at menu, pictures, reviews...and off we went! Pulled up and was surprised that there wasn't a line but got right in and sat down. The wait staff quickly came over and explained how things work here now. You can order at counter and pay, or via the QR code on table. No tipping as an across the board of 10% is added to each order. Order when you are ready, help yourself to the coffee, let me know if I can be of any help....and left us alone to decipher what we wanted. I went specifically for the pancakes and bacon, and he ordered the Colombia omelet. My pancakes were piled high, thick and fluffy....delish! The omelet was cooked perfectly and not a bite was spared! We must have picked the perfect time, because when leaving, there was a line formed and wait list to get in. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience here and look forward to lunch!

Yelp
I've reviewed Cool Moose Café before (one of my earliest!). Since I was taking a friend there after visiting a nearby bookstore, I decided to update. The staff are just as friendly as I remember and we received good service. There are lots of items related to "Cool Moose" available for purchase, too. (I already had a heavyweight mug from my previous visit!) The food is still fresh and delicious, but I think the serving sizes are smaller. Also, in my case, the "Cubano" was supposed to be on a pressed roll but came on grilled bread slices l. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding but I was disappointed. It was tasty. My friend's Ham and Brie was similarly small but she enjoyed it and said it was enough for her. Her side of broccoli was super fresh and nicely buttered. My side of fruit was plentiful and fresh. I like the "Maine/Canadian"coffee house ambiance and she did, too. She commented, however, that the metal chairs were very uncomfortable. So, we enjoyed our visit but will be a bit more observant as to what we order and if there are more comfortable chairs next time.

Yelp
What a fun breakfast joint! My husband and I selected this spot for breakfast after I ran the DONNA Mother's Day 5k, and I am so glad we did. We put our name in, and the hostess immediately directed us to the self-serve, bottomless coffee. Wow were seated fairly quickly, and were introduced to a new-to-us system: we had a server to tend to us, but we ordered ourselves via a QR code. We paid right when we placed that order, and that was that. Our server was lovely. She offered me a complimentary coffee or mimosa since it was Mother's Day, and even went so far as to give me a choice of juices. She also asked us if it was our first time visiting and when we said yes, she brought us a cranberry nut muffin to sample. Breakfast was delicious. Prices were great. Vibe was perfect. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
The food was so delicious, atmosphere was really relaxing. Service was exceptional. The fresh coffee bar was a nice treat

Yelp
As an out of towner visiting Jacksonville, it is only right to find the spots a new city has to offer. The Cool Moose Cafe did not dissapoint from the second we walked in the door, till the moment we left. Expectations were more than exceeded, from the staff, * Whos names I wish I remembered* to give them the proper shout out they deserve, to the most userfriendly QR code to place your food orders from. For starters as my friend and I were seated and chatting with one of the servers, it was discovered that it was our first time visiting, and without hessitation a heated up muffin of our choice was delivered as a warm welcome to the Cool Moose. I ordered the 'Mexican Bendict' that was crazy packed with flavor and modereatly customizable. You can choose how your poached egg will be cooked, I opted for the soft poached egg, which no fault to the cook was just a little too runny for my liking. And my side of home fries where seasoned properly and cooked with a delightful crispy outside, I would have enjoyed smaller cuts of potatoes. I also had to try the french toast, which to no suprise came out fluffy and sweet , served with what I assume is an in house made maple syrup and whip cream. All in all this was a very enjoyable brunch experience, I look forward to visting again, or making the reccommendation for others to visit and enjoy as well.

Yelp
Love the concept on the decor. Service was spot on and friendly. Great coffee selections and food was fresh and plentiful. Prices were much more affordable than the chains like Grumpy's and Metro or Beach diner. Good job

Daniela M.

Yelp
Driving through Jacksonville and found this GEM! Walked in and the first thing we encountered was laughter and all smiles. It's a nice spot with a laid back feeling and very friendly staff. Alex came over and explained how things work, 10% tip added to the check, order at the counter or with a QR code. She then gave us some tips on the menu items and some off menu specials. Honestly everything sounds incredible, one of each would not be a bad idea. Coffee is self serve and they have a variety of flavors. The chocolate covered strawberry coffee is out of this world! We had Mexican Eggs Benedict, perfectly poached egg with a hollandaise sauce with a kick of chipotle, the Strawberry Pillow, a croissant made French toast with strawberry and cream, also side of biscuit with sausage gravy as we wanted to try the gravy it was to DIE for. It upsets me I can't visit regularly as I'm from out of town.

Denis M.

Yelp
New to the area and glad we found our go to neighborhood breakfast spot. Good vibes, good variety of food, and enjoyed everything we ordered. The service is also excellent. Coffee bar is a nice touch!

Yelp
I visited this place years ago and had a good experience, so I was excited to visit again this morning. I also invited some family members, who had never been before. I drove all the way up from the Baymeadows area to visit. My family got their food, but I was sitting there with no food. I had ordered the French Toast, but I hadn't received it yet, so I asked a couple of times, and they said it would be out soon. My family was almost done with their food when the runner came out with the Brioche French Toast. At first, I said it's not my order because I had ordered the regular version, and this was when we found out that my order was given to the table next to me. I'm not sure why the guy accepted it when the two orders look completely different, but maybe he didn't know better. Now, instead of giving me this new order, she also gave it to guy at the table next to me. They never even offered it to me. So now this guy had my food and his food, and I still had nothing. A member of the staff came over to tell me that they were going to remake my food, but by this time, my family was pretty much done eating. I asked her to cancel it, and they just said ok. My family member went up to the counter to pay, and that's when the staff member advised that she saw that the runner had delivered the food to the wrong table when it was happening. I'm sorry, but this is unacceptable to me. I understand people make mistakes, and they did apologize, but it didn't seem like they actually cared to make it right. Instead they wanted me to sit there for another 20 minutes waiting on them to remake the order that they gave to someone else, realized the error at the time, and didn't make an attempt to rectify until I called it out. I literally drove across town for nothing. I ended up getting food at First Watch, which would have only taken me 5 minutes to drive to it. I'm not sure what caused this to happen, but please don't let this happen to anyone else.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Unique establishment. Food was edible. Not bad, but wasn't my favorite breakfast. The best thing for me today was the pink lemonade mimosas. They also have options of flavored coffee. My family didn't seem to care for the flavored coffee they had. They thought it had absolutely no taste at all. I ordered the heart healthy omelette. It was pretty salty and the frozen spinach made me gag. I think they offer a pretty basic breakfast. Nothing to slap your momma over. The service was great considering you order via a QR code. I do like their fair wage practices. Hence the tip already being included. They have treats for dogs which is considerate. Try it for yourself, but I'm pretty much one and done. Oh and they only have breakfast on the menu during the weekends.

Shirley Marie R.

Yelp
The atmosphere is original and good feeling. When you go in you are welcomed by people you don't know. Everyone has everything in common. Everyone cares about you and your strangeness. My first meal in Cool Moose was at Christmas time. i enjoyed it so much I treated my church mom and her friend to brunch (breakfast at lunchtime.). She is no longer living but I have the memory of treating her to a special time out as and older and beautiful Christian woman.

Amber A.

Yelp
What happened?? Walked in for breakfast around 9:ish. Went into the dining room and picked the less dirty table with strings of hair wasping on the back of a chair. Am abruptly told by the waitress to order by using my phone. Ugh.... I expect this at an airport but from a local diner and hangout. Really. I order. I go up to the coffee stand. Blueberry coffee is cold. Dang. My order comes out. Two eggs over-easy and grits. Toast hasn't come. I wave down the waitress. She gives me a lecture saying I didn't specify on the digital order what kind of bread I wanted. (Sooo, I guess you shouldn't get the toast you ordered and paid for; if you made a mistake ordering the first time you've use this stupid thing. Is it too hard to literally ask me? You are hanging out 3 feet from our table instead of cleaning anything. I get some whole wheat toast. Before i leave, she tells me I shouldn't have ordered the grits separately because I there was a breakfast item that included the grits and was cheaper. Thanks. You're a real gem. I don't know what happened to this place. I used to come here all the time. It was "the" place to hang and eat breakfast. Now, I know.

Christina D.

Yelp
Tried this small local spot out and had a nice experience. I was not drinking coffee at the time but they are known for good coffee. They have a new system where you either pay at the register or pay online from your table (waiters do not take your orders). They have raised prices significantly but clarified that they do not expect a tip. But, any tips will be donated to charity which is awesome! Process seemed annoying at first but was actually good because the staff still deliver food and check on you without making you wait on them or talk too much. Staff is very friendly. Will go back again to support this local business!!

Timothy O.

Yelp
Had the meat lovers and cheddar omelette, was delicious and loaded with your traditional breakfast meats. Any patron order the brioche French toast with fresh fruit. I found my next breakfast. The staff were awesome and quick. A definite repeat

Kate C.

Yelp
What sound does a moose make? I don't know, but whatever it is, it would sound a lot happier after going here! Cool moose is a Riverside staple. From the eye-catching funky decor to the self serve coffee to the fantastically varied menu of delicious breakfast offerings, this is the perfect place for any morning occasions. Brunch with friends, relaxed date, or even breakfast by yourself. I highly recommend the Desayuno de Costa Rica with plantains and chorizo- a surprisingly delicious combination. The Irish hash is also stellar. Weekends can get a little crowded here, so while you're waiting for a table be sure to grab a self-serve green mountain coffee. The blueberry flavor is to die for! Overall there is something for everyone at this place. You won't regret branching here!

Jacqueline H.

Yelp
Just as our waitress was explaining the menu, the power went out! Luckily the grills were working fine and there are big windows so it was nice and bright. I enjoyed the coffee bar and got to try a surprisingly delicious blueberry coffee. For breakfast I had the Desayuno de Costa Rica and it was delicious! Portion was good, not huge, not tiny. Service was friendly and helpful, especially since they were working without power.

Maddie T.

Yelp
visiting town and wanted a cute breakfast spot. came here because the menu looked so good online. walked into a cute small local cafe, very welcoming and smelled great! Tina was our server and she was amazing. took care of us tremendously and even brought out a free sample of their blueberry muffin which was incredible. definitely need to check this place out if you're in the area! 5 stars all around.

Shema C.

Yelp
I love this cute little place. Everything is a 10. Service, Digital Ordering, Fair Wage culture, The Coffee, Tea and the food. Consistent service and friendly.

Peter S.

Yelp
This is a very quaint and homey feeling place. The service is excellent and the food is comforting to the soul. Delicious! Pricing is great also. If you are in need of ultimate comfort food in a cozy place, look no further. 10/10

Satyajeet P.

Yelp
The food is delicious and ample. The service is very friendly. Dogs are welcome to sit on outside tables. Easy to order over phone.

Andrea F.

Yelp
To echo the post from one of the previous reviewer. What happened? I had a similar experience. Ordering on the phone no real service cold coffee mediocre to bad food now. So sad.

Jasmine R.

Yelp
The atmosphere is really relaxing and quiet. The coffee is delicious and the pastries are even better. The service is really great. They have lovely employees working there.

Amelia B.

Yelp
Really good breakfast place!! Went here on Easter Sunday because it was one of the only restaurants open. Because it was our first visit the server gave a complimentary muffin. Everything was really good. Ordered the pancakes, french toast, and breakfast burrito but this was more than enough food for two people. Huge portion sizes and we definitely had leftovers. The breakfast burrito was good and pancakes were fluffy. Would definitely go again!

Maya C.

Yelp
I honestly was too tired (or lazy) to make breakfast so I popped up my UberEats app. Lo and behold Cool Moose showed up. I've been wanting to actually go to the physical location for the longest and while this experience will not be the same, at least I would have tried their food. I ordered my boyfriend The Cool Moose Breakfast (two eggs, smoked bacon, whole hog sausage, home fries, double stack pancakes, toast). He really wanted a just breakfast sandwich but I made him eat more since he'd been eating relatively light all week. I got myself The Farmers Market and Brie omelette (three eggs, grilled onion, mushroom, spinach, tomato, garlic, brie). I love brie in an omelette. I also got a side of bacon for extra protein. It took well over an hour to reach us but it was worth the wait. There was no frills to my omelette as it was plain and simply-made but it was delicious. I get it now. The bacon was also on point. All of our slices were added to the styrofoam container straight from the pan as it started to melt it. My man was happy with everything and was very glad he didn't end up with a skimpy breakfast sandwich. Definitely a fan and looking forward to more brunches here.

Katharine B.

Yelp
Delicious!! Cool vibe and great food. Definitely a good environment for a relaxed time

Halley B.

Yelp
Just went here for breakfast and it was so good! I got the fresh market eggs benedict and my boyfriend got the French toast. Since it was our first time we also got a complementary muffin to munch on while we waited for our food. The food was soooo good and the staff was super friendly and knew the menu well. The coffee bar was amazing as well, so may brew options. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the bathroom, needs a little updating.

Jensine C.

Yelp
Adorable small cafe located in the Riverside/ 5 Points area. The local spot has been here for a while as you can tell by the locals that come in and they already know your orders. It was relatively quiet this morning but it got busy after I left. I definitely needed my coffee and they have a serve yourself coffee bar area. I ordered the brioche French toast which was two think slices of brioche bread served with syrup, butter, and fruits and walnuts. That was definitely filling, I could barely eat half. It took a little while for my check to come but otherwise good food and lots to choose from on the menu.

Angie R.

Yelp
Suppose to order using a QR code on the table-which was dirty.Advised by a staff member that 10% charge would be added to the bill automatically. Not a warm and welcoming first impression. We saw some not so happy customers around us after they received their food so we decided not to eat here. Won't recommend and definitely won't be back.

Kimberly E.

Yelp
Cool Moose is the perfect little breakfast spot! It was walking distance from our airbnb, and I can see why all the locals love it b/c it's such a cute quaint little thing. All the workers are very friendly and assured us that any of them can help you out, not just your server. I originally wanted to order their Homemade Hash, but unfortunately they were out of it, so I settled for the Breakfast Portobello. Still very yummy and a good sized portion, I enjoyed it very much despite wondering what the Homemade Hash would've been like. Their coffee is self serve because there's several drip options to pick from; you just get up and help yourself. Oh! And there's also servings of mimosas if you want that kind of morning as well. Overall a very good choice to start your day.

Quy M.

Yelp
To be fair I am not a breakfast person. My wife is and we met some people up here assuming I could order something else off the menu. It was Sunday and we were told they don't serve items off the lunch menu - Total bummer. Decided to get a frozen coffee and it was entirely way too sweet. I don't recall what my wife got but she didn't like it. She said she' been here before and I assume it was good, since she decided to come back. Not a fan.

Clifford G.

Yelp
Food is good, grits are flavorful! Hostesses / Servers are very polite and helpful. If you have a mobile phone, scan the menu at your table, and place your order from the app. I needed a little help - it was an Apple Pay issue. (Needed to type my full first and last name to place the order.) I asked for the "special", since I've never been here before. They made me feel welcome and appreciated!

Troy M.

Yelp
We used to eat here frequently a few years ago before we moved outside of Jax. We were excited to stop for breakfast while visiting the area. I was very disappointed. The service was lacking and the meal was o.k., but not to the standard I remembered.

Jeana L.

Yelp
A neat little cafe located on the intersection of Park street and King street in the Riverside area. It's surrounded by small local shops and restaurants on a street strip. My friends and I came here for brunch and it does get busy including the streets! Parking can be a pain so be prepared to circle around the area or walk a distance. When my friends and I arrived, we had to put our name down and the hostess stated a roughly 30-45 minutes wait. We were cool with it and decided to walk around the area trying to spin PokeStops, Gyms and virtually catching Pokémon. What else can we do for the 30 to 45 minutes wait? Lol. When our wait ended, we were seated inside. There are two space areas and the other side had more seats and has a front area plus self-served bottomless coffee. Lots of good coffee flavors such as vanilla caramel and hazelnut. There is also additional seating outside the cafe and we've seen folks with their dogs so that was pretty cool. The area where we sat had these gorgeous oil paintings by a local artist. Very artistic and loved the themes and style. We ordered the Spicy Chicken and Waffles for the table and our own individual meals. I had the Veggie Burger with Home Fries. My friends shared the Biscuit and Gravy with Cheese Grits. When the food arrived, I guess maybe the server misunderstood us and served us regular Chicken & Waffles rather than the Spicy Chicken and Waffles which suppose to have some sort of cheese and it wasn't spicy. We were a bit disappointed but just went along with eating it. My Veggie burger was really good and loved the vegetable combinations of tomatoes, broccoli, onions etc and the patty was wonderful. I believe it looked to be homemade as you can see the chopped vegetables mashed together holding in place well. In addition, there was arugula and mayo. Home fries tasted great with a hot/warm temperature. I tasted the biscuit and gravy and cheese grits and thought it was good too. Overall, it was really good with the exception of the minor food mistake, but it's not significant enough to prevent me from coming back. So, I hope to next time to try out their lunch menu upon my next visit.

Chad M.

Yelp
Great little place. Was impressed with coffee. Food was delish. They work as a team so was checked on several times friendly service. You can order at the counter or use a QR code on the table. I choose the QR code and it worked great and was easy to do

Marylou J.

Yelp
All staff were amazing from the host to our server to the gal next to the coffee bar. Food was plentiful and delicious. It's top on our list for our must go to breakfast spot whenever we visit Jacksonville again.

Adrian W.

Yelp
Used to go here quite frequently, I'd get the two pieces of chicken on the biscuits covered in gravy. Then they started just using one piece cut in half, which was ok. Then, the price went up and I started frequenting Cool Moose less. About a week ago, after months of abstaining, I finally decided to go back. The manager checked my bag before I walked out and sent me on my way. Not only was it missing my cheese grits and home fries, but the sausage egg and cheese that I ordered was instead bacon. Driest, most bland breakfast sandwich, and at a price of $7, quite laughable. I called to express my complaints and the manager said she'd refund the incorrect items back to my card. It's been a week and still no refund. Shame that this was my last time at cool moose, as the biscuits and gravy (however overpriced) were always pretty solid.

Yelp
I loved this place. We got sat really quickly, mimosas were super cheap and good. The food was so good and they brought out a muffin as we sat down that was delicious.

Yelp
This cafe offers a variety of breakfast options! I love breakfast food and it was really difficult just choosing one of the items on their menu. I finally chose the Irish Hash, a great recommendation by my server! I also ordered a caramel latte- freshly brewed, might I add (If you like your coffee strong, you'll love their coffee). Since it was my first time there, I didn't realize they had bottomless coffee until after my visit! I wish I would have known! The Irish Hash had two eggs, kohlrabi (it's cabbage!), potatoes, brussel sprouts, and toast. Vey delicious! I love a good "heavy" breakfast but this was a nice little surprise because my veggies balanced my meal and made it light and fresh. Often times, when I order corned beef the flavor gets lost in too much salt. I don't like too many potatoes either because it just blends in with the taste of the corned beef. Not the Irish Hash! They ribbon-cut the potatoes so every bite has a small bit of potato, meat, then little tiny cut cabbages! I love the dish presentation! Skillfully executed and quite beautiful! Perfectly balanced flavor, I was very pleased with this dish! I also ordered a side of cheese grits. Very thick and creamy just the way I like it! This cafe is very homey. Decorations have a lot of moose! They even have a wall dedicated to photos of cute peI love the atmosphere because it feels like I was invited to someone's home! Highly recommended!

Yelp
I give Cool Moose a strong 5+. The breakfast selections were amazing and I thought they showed so much creativity in the selections. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with the over easy egg and it was so amazing. The sweet iced tea was a fruit blend which was quite refreshing. I am certainly looking forward to coming back and trying a non-breakfast item on my next visit.

Yelp
Looks small from the outside but is great on the inside! They have a coffee bar which is free. They advertise not to give tips because they all get a livable wage and benefits. They have QR codes on the tables where you can order and pay from your phone. They gave us a free cranberry walnut muffin! Very good food in general and very polite and nice staff.

Yelp
Pretty good food... sneaky tactic after tipping 22 percent on their app they added another 10 percent for fair wage fee. This is bull..... and predatory and illegal. If they want to make sure their employees make a fair wage then PAY THEM A FAIR WAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE. We will tip them based on service as is customary in the formerly in woke United States. Not sure where these owners learned this after the fact scam but my new hobby will be putting a stop to it. One of the servers told me they don't get that ten percent and that the owner keeps it. Disgraceful
