I visited this place years ago and had a good experience, so I was excited to visit again this morning. I also invited some family members, who had never been before. I drove all the way up from the Baymeadows area to visit.
My family got their food, but I was sitting there with no food. I had ordered the French Toast, but I hadn't received it yet, so I asked a couple of times, and they said it would be out soon. My family was almost done with their food when the runner came out with the Brioche French Toast. At first, I said it's not my order because I had ordered the regular version, and this was when we found out that my order was given to the table next to me. I'm not sure why the guy accepted it when the two orders look completely different, but maybe he didn't know better. Now, instead of giving me this new order, she also gave it to guy at the table next to me. They never even offered it to me. So now this guy had my food and his food, and I still had nothing.
A member of the staff came over to tell me that they were going to remake my food, but by this time, my family was pretty much done eating. I asked her to cancel it, and they just said ok. My family member went up to the counter to pay, and that's when the staff member advised that she saw that the runner had delivered the food to the wrong table when it was happening.
I'm sorry, but this is unacceptable to me. I understand people make mistakes, and they did apologize, but it didn't seem like they actually cared to make it right. Instead they wanted me to sit there for another 20 minutes waiting on them to remake the order that they gave to someone else, realized the error at the time, and didn't make an attempt to rectify until I called it out. I literally drove across town for nothing. I ended up getting food at First Watch, which would have only taken me 5 minutes to drive to it.
I'm not sure what caused this to happen, but please don't let this happen to anyone else.
