"Cool River Coffee House is as close as you can get to a local hangout in a city like Breckenridge. You’ll overhear tour guides chatting up their barista, small business owners planning their next craft circle meetup, and families coaxing their children to eat a housemade pastry so they don’t have a meltdown on the mountain. Make sure to order some breakfast burritos stuffed with eggs, tater tots, and your choice of bacon, sausage, or chorizo, all smothered in pork green chile. Even if you’re not planning to spend the day being an outdoor athlete, it’s worth starting your day here with an excellent latte and a lovely conversation with the staff." - anne cruz

A great grab and go breakfast! Fresh food in a mountain town. It was awesome to stop in for a bite before hitting the slopes. The line was crazy long but the staff did a great job moving it along and getting orders out. Worth the wait. A lot of options to choose from but I went with a staple - a cool river burrito with bacon and a side of salads. Full of flavor and will be back.

I couldn’t recommend this establishment more. I have several food allergies which makes eating on vacation kind of scary. Luckily, this was stop number one on the first day and I ended up having breakfast/lunch here everyday. They had multiple gluten free/vegan bakery items and were able to adjust menu items to meet my needs. All of the employees are so kind and welcoming. They accidentally made a mistake with my order the first day and were very apologetic and made me a new dish with a complimentary piece of DELICIOUS gluten free toast. The chef even came out the second time to ask additional questions which was dearly appreciated. The owner and staff are all top notch. Additionally, the atmosphere is very cozy and laid back. You can come and go or dine in. I just can’t say enough good things. I recommend this place to anyone, but especially for people with specific needs.

Before we left town, we stopped here for breakfast. The breakfast biscuit with sausage was very good. Excellent coffee and super friendly staff all around. The croissant we shared was good and the donut was great. They have a nice outdoor space too with a great vibe. Wish we had a place like this where I live.

Meet Meshach. He is quite likely the best barista in Breckenridge, and Cool River is one of - if not the best - coffee house. Though I’m sure you could get all the sweet coffee experiences you’d get elsewhere, a straight latte is amazing. Not bitter, well roasted beans, milk steamed to perfection, latte art to add the touch. The cinnamon rolls are incredible and I wish we had room to try more of their pastries. Go here. You won’t regret it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cool River Coffee House, where the lattes are smoother than my dance moves (which is saying something because my dance moves are legendary). The food? Let me tell you, we ordered the Cerdo Burrito smothered in green chili, and I think I had a spiritual experience halfway through. That green chili? Absolute fire, but in the best way possible. 🔥 Then there was the Nutella and banana sourdough toast—basically a warm hug for my taste buds. And the pastries? Don’t even get me started. I’m still dreaming about those flaky little pieces of heaven. If you’re looking for a place where the coffee is top-notch, the food is next-level, and you can leave with a happy belly and a caffeine-induced grin, Cool River Coffee House is the spot. Five stars, two lattes, and a burrito that’s now my new best friend.

Cool River coffee house was one of our few choices for early breakfast. Most places open at 8am however cool River coffee house opens at 7am. Coffee was amazing and we were given the choice between light roast in dark roast. The chocolate croissant was fresh and delicious and we had some breakfast as well which was also great. They have a lot of choices both for breakfast and lunch. When I was there early morning, it wasn’t busy but two hours later there was a huge queue. This place is very popular and for a good reason. Highly recommend it, and I will visit again.

Cute little shop tucked away just off the main street with great coffee. They offer a huge selection of gluten free, dairy free, and vegan food options.

Went for coffee and breakfast. The breakfast burrito was large (good size for the cost). It was really good and the service was excellent, even when they were busy. We had the White Pistachio Mocha and the Mexican Orange Mocha, both were great, the white chocolate does down out the pistachio flavor.
