Very cute little spot with delicious ice scoops! Welcoming atmosphere! calm music and all antique small model car collection is wonderful to watch while enjoying our ice cream.

You are going to pay an outrageous amount of money for coming here, the atmosphere is definitely worth checking this place out , but $20 plus tip for a kiddie sundae( did get an extra topping ) and a rootbeer float is crazy and the wet walnuts were not a good brand so very sub pare for the price . The one picture is the extra topping for $3.00

I love going here with friends and family every summer when they are open. They always have great ice cream that I enjoy and fun areas to sit like in the back of old cars that are photo worthy. They have a few seating areas so don’t be afraid to look around. They have different sizes of ice cream you can get too. They also have hard ice cream and soft ice cream. You have to pay in cash they do not take card so just have cash when you go.

This ice cream polar is a must visit if your in Wildwood, the retro atmosphere is amazing. Walking in here is like taking a time machine back in the day, From the classic car booths to the classic toys and memorabilia are so cool,Their ice cream is awesome as well. My family and I visit here every year during our trip to Wildwood. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Super nostalgic establishment. We will definitely be back!

Ice cream was delicious! I want to go back and try different flavors. Loved the retro vibe and being able to eat in a variety shaped booth. Made the experience a lot more fun, even as an adult!

Ice cream shop right out of the 50's. The memorabilia in the shop is incredible and amazing. The walls and ceilings are plastered with all kinds of stuff from the 1950s. Great music playing from that era too. The owner is really super nice and the ice cream is great

Cool Scoops never gets less cool! I’ve been going every year since I was a little kid, and it just never gets old. I mean number one, delicious ice cream, sundaes, and shakes, but beyond that, such an amazing place to hang! I find something new every time I got hidden in ever corner. Always worth the trip!

What an adorable ice cream shop! Once you step inside you are transformed back to the 1950s. So much cute memorabilia and I love the booths made out of retro cars. One warning: it's cash only. Not uncommon in this city but wanted to point that out. One thing I really loved is how seriously they take allergies. I have a child with a dairy allergy and they have a separate case with all the dietary specific options and they knew a lot of information about the ingredients and gave me a napkin and spoon in a sealed bag to avoid cross-contamination. Finally, ladies, do to check out the ladies room! It will transform you to a 1950s hair salon (or at least what I have seen in movies since I'm not that old).

This place is dripping with atmosphere. I was on the hunt for a pistachio milkshake and Scoops delivered. Others in my party were equally satisfied with ice cream scoops and sundaes. A great place for kids and ids-at-heart.

This was a nice ice cream parlor with a lot of cool nostalgic items that fit is theme well. It has a 50s dinner theme and some of the tables look like old vehicles from that we're. The ice cream was good and service was quick, an't ask for much more. Would definitely return in the future.

How could you not love this place! Number one it's too friggin cute with nostalgia oozing out its pores. Secondly they have cake crunchies so I was sold immediately. They have a great assortment of flavors and they sell real actual ice cream like I remember from my childhood. I hate that cold yet warm fuzzy crap that places try to pass off as ice cream. I got two scoops one strawberry the other banana with cake crunchies, sliced banana, whipped cream and cherry. It was sooooooo good. My husband and I sat there and ate as I looked around at all the old little novelty toys and things they had on display listening to the oldies but goodies and it was a sweet time! Probably one of the best places we stopped in during our visit. Well done guys!!!!

What a great place! Adorable 50 style diner type ice cream shop. I don't have pictures of the ice cream, because I had to sit outside with my dog! It was dark. The inside is lovely, very kid friendly, and the ice cream was just delicious. I had a caramel sundae with peanuts and whip cream. The perfect ending to the day!

The ice cream is great and you'll enjoy whatever you order but the place itself is what is totally amazing. The nostalgia is amazing. I'm shocked in a good way how much 50 and 60's paraphernalia they have!!! My parents are in their 80's and the place really brought them back to their teen years...can't speak highly enough this place. You will remember this place for years to come after going here.

My happy place. A must stop while in Wildwood. I adore every small detail and piece of history brought into this doo-wop joint. Every room filled with tons of authentic collectibles from the 1950s-60s. Music playing follows suit. Great ice cream selection and friendly service. I can't say enough nice things about this place. Come take a trip down memory lane enjoying your favorite treat. Cash only.

Very cute place. Lots of very old memorabilia throws you back in time but also very clean at the same time. I wish I would've taken pictures of the booths they have that are like 1950s cars. Definitely take some time and look around the entire place at everything. Very huge portions. In my opinion a small was too big for me. What seem to be the owner and her daughter were running the place and super super friendly.

Kind and friendly staff! Always speedy service. You get what you're paying for! It's a bonus you get a "museum" experience on top of getting ice cream. The car booths are so cool like a drive In experience. Gluten free and dairy free options are awesome. Always get a cookie bowl!!! You won't regret it. I would go every single night if I could.

Cool Scoops is one of my favorite ice cream places. Obviously, the ice cream is great - but the atmosphere is even better. There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant, but our favorite place to sit is the booths converted from old fashion cars. The rest of the restaurant is filled with old antiques and memorabilia which provides plenty to look out! Back to the menu - there are options for everyone. They've got plenty of flavors and a menu full of options. Everything from milk shakes to specialty sundaes.

I love this place! Every time we visit wildwood we come here for ice cream because the vibe is so nice The entire place has a 50s/60s theming to it There are separate rooms One where you order the ice cream, the front room which is filled with old cars that you eat in The room to the right is themed to be an old diner While the room to the left of the entrance is filled with music of the time such as the Beatles and Elvis The ice cream is good too! I got the salted caramel pretzel which was good! I really do recommend you come here when in wildwood even if you don't like ice cream the vibe is great

This is such a cute, fun place. Little vintage car booths, nostalgia and tchotchkes everywhere. We had a lot of fun looking at everything lining the walls. Lots of ice cream flavors and sundae options. Everyone was masked and behind plexiglass. Ice cream was yummy. No outdoor seating, and parking was kind of challenging.

Wow! All 5 of us had different sundaes and they were all amazing. The waffles and ice cream were perfect! Fresh piping hot waffles with great ice cream! Covid note: Really wish we could have enjoyed the super cute classic car booths, but they did an awesome job moving us through safely. )

Best ice cream I've had in the area! Such a fun atmosphere- will be returning! The caramel pretzel flavor was amazing. Very pleasant service as well.

My son, who has celiac disease, and I went here after reading about them on Find Me Gluten Free. They know the safety guidelines, have delicious gluten free cones that taste like regular ones, and even give you a spoon wrapped in a plastic pack. The place itself is adorable! Tables that are shaped like 1950s cars, tons of old memorabilia, and a working jukebox. Everyone there is so friendly and accommodating. And the most important part? The ice cream is delicious!!! Omg I got a Dusty Road Sundae and switched out the vanilla ice cream for their caramel pretzel something ice cream. The woman there suggested I then put caramel on it rather than hot fudge. It was the yummiest sundae I think I've ever eaten! The caramel is not a runny sauce. It's thick and gooey - the real thing. I told my son they should make that one of their sundaes and call it the Dusted Pretzel or something like that haha. I won't be back to Wildwood probably till next year but I'm absolutely returning.

I'd read up about this spot in a magazine and was interested in checking out the retro decorations, and as we read up some more online, learned that it was a pretty great ice cream spot in its own right. We also saw it on a gluten-free finder site, so that made us feel better about coming for ice cream. We went one evening for a treat, and while waiting in the car, my wife looked online and learned that they have an option to serve ice cream in a cookie bowl! Both of us assumed that there was no gluten-free option for that, but as I stood in line, I saw that it was! In fact, they're great about gluten-free - they have separate sets of ice cream in the back that they can scoop separately to avoid cross-contamination! When they brought the ice cream out, they had little baggies to hold the napkin and spoon, which was really great to see as well. All that said, the ice cream was also really tasty, and the cookie bowls were a nice touch, especially gluten-free! We'd definitely come back for more!

Honestly confused how this place has so many good reviews. Stopped by because no other ice cream places are open during the off-season, and the place smelled so musty from all of their old decor. It's a novel idea but you don't want to smell must when you are about to consume food. The women behind the counter made us feel super uncomfortable. We ordered two tiny scoops of ice cream and it was $11. The ice cream wasn't even that good. I would only go here if there were no other options, otherwise there are plenty of other good places to go.

Cool Scoops is just that, cool. The ambiance is 50's nostalgia and you could spend hours looking at all the stuff they have in there. My kids loved sitting in the Cadillac seats and that was a highlight for them. Ice cream was good according to the kids and I got a milk shake which was also good. It is cash only and not cheap $32 for 2 milkshakes, a twist waffle cone and a sundae but it is worth it for the experience. Super great way to end our night and my kids already want to go back!!

This place has become a family favorite! The ice cream is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is super "cool!" The staff are always friendly and accommodating to people's needs and dietary restrictions. Every time we go in, we are greeted with such a warm welcome and spend hours taking in the decor. I am quite the germaphobe and more than appreciate how they are constantly cleaning, and I never see a sprinkle on the table, booths, or even the floor. My 2 year old is a tough critic when it comes to ice cream and such a snob when it comes to ice cream parlors. This is by far her favorite place and actually the ONLY place we go to while in Wildwood. Highly recommend!

I love their selection here and I may have to say that I love even more, their eclectic vintage decor. The booths are cars! It's so cool inside and the bathroom reminds me of Hairspray. We stopped here to get the kiddies some ice cream, and get some for ourselves as well. The flavours are really good and the staff was so patient with us since we were such a large group and it took a little while to get organized.

We went here because we wanted ice cream but we mostly went here because it is kind of iconic. The ice cream was okay, nothing particularly memorable. It was nice that there were a lot of options. However, it was ridiculously over priced for what you get. The real shiner of this establishment is its decor. So much vintage memorabilia from tv shows, movies, and just random household items that are super cool. There is something for everyone in this building that will bring out the child in anyone. Even the bathrooms are decorated. The women's bathroom has mystery date and an awesome vintage hair salon dryer. How cool! Did I also mention that you can sit in cars ? That's right, there main dining room has several cars you can sit it- if you're lucky enough to score one. There are 3 dining rooms overall, be sure to check them all out because they each have something different!

The place is so cool, great ice cream, great service and fabulous decor!! It will be our regular stop when we are in wildwood for sure!!

the store itself is a memorabilia in itself; lots of vintage toys and collectible items everywhere in the store! the ice cream itself wasn't anything too special but it's open by 2pm on weekends which is great!

A living monument to nostalgia. I was able to recreate a sundae I used to get as a kid at HoJo's...sat with my wife and we enjoyed our treats surrounded by mystifyingly awesome memorabilia while we tried to guess the TV themes playing in the background. Very good ice cream and a fun & friendly staff. Must visit while vacationing in Wildwood. We'll make it a tradition.

This is one of my favorite ice cream shop of all time! I've been coming here since I was a baby haha! Never had a bad experience and the aesthetic is absolutely amazing! The ice cream sizing and taste is great And they have so many cool little nick naks That show off the 50's/60's theme If your in wildwood and in the mood for ice cream You gotta stop here! You won't be disappointed

Okay, first having a cookie bowl is genius enough. I've never seen it at any other ice cream place, but it makes so much sense! BUT, to have a GLUTEN FREE cookie bowl (made in house btw)!!??!!? Mind blown, color me impressed! Since going gluten free, I don't see gluten free cones offered at any ice cream shops near me, and even that would have been well enough for me (Cool Scoops offers those too). Also, for gluten free customers, they will scoop from a separate fresh tub with different scoops, so definitely appreciate that extra effort and mindfulness. Though there weren't extra tubs of my first couple choices, I was plenty happy with moose tracks still. The ice cream was creamy and delightful. The cookie bowl served its purpose well, but it wouldn't be as appetizing if not soaked in melted ice cream. Also appreciated how they packed each order to go with lids and individually packed baggies with a quirky napkins and a spoon. So thoughtful and perfect for germaphobes like me that would shudder at the thought of people fumbling through a tub of naked plastic spoons.

This place is awesome!!!! The ice cream is probably the best in the wildwood area as we have tried almost of them. The decor is fun and the bathrooms are a must see. Cash only place.

So wonderful! My son has food allergies and. It only so they categorize for those with allergies they give separately packaged spoons and napkins to make sure things aren't contaminated! We love being at the shore since this is the only place we can take my son for ice cream since they have soy options!!

Absolutely love that Cool Scoops has non dairy options for people with allergies and for vegans! I wish more places would do this especially in a shore town. Love the vanilla non dairy with jimmies (not sprinkles). Waffle cone is delicious! This place is super retro and cool inside. Great for the whole family.

As a dairy free gluten free individual, I got a dairy free milkshake and gluten free waffle bowl. I felt so normal for the first time in a long time. Very inclusive and tests products to make sure they aren't contaminated!! Love it!!

Honestly a classic place on the island but so expensive and the one 40 something year woman who works there is honestly pretty rude. She's given me an attitude before and I work in the service industry down here and I understand that it gets busy and you get stressed as a result but I would say skip the trip these days.

Fun place to take the grandkids with great ice cream! Our grandkids, oldest is 11, loved seeing the old things we grew up with! And loved the iced cream. Went back second time. They didn't want to go anywhere else!

If you're looking for really good ice cream in Wildwood, there are plenty of better choices. This place has a very unique design and decor, but the ice cream is lackluster at best. We recently ordered the Happy Daze sundae, and I was very disappointed. Not only was the brownie missing, our icecream was served more than 50% melted, and the serving was very small. $12 seems pretty expensive for the quality we received. I was excited to try this place, but it was a letdown.

Hands down the coolest ice cream place ever in my book. The place itself is worth it just to visit. The ice cream quality is simply second to none. You have amazing people work and are like Ashley she's awesome and runs the Instagram account. I dare anyone to find a speck of dirt anywhere in this place at all it's so clean it's almost like the place is brand new every day. Whether you sit at the counter or pull up inside one of the classic cars that have everywhere you look it's a piece of nostalgia from the 50s. honestly I can't name another place that even during the offseason they showed pictures of them cleaning every single part of the store. If you haven't been here you need to go here it's amazing. @Wildwoodbadboy

You guys, what am I missing about this place? I am doing my best to be gracious during this tough time in 2020, but being friendly to customers isn't something that should be negotiable if you're running a business. Uninviting from the moment we walked in. Much of the shop is closed off I guess to limit movement and contact so you don't get the fun decor but that's fine. Music could help the atmosphere. We had never been here and didn't realize it was a 'create your own concoction' type of place, so that slowed us down and the lady just sat there staring at us. I don't know, engage us in conversation? I really hate to be so harsh over ice cream but in general life I don't enjoy unfriendly people. Not realizing there is a small sign on the door that says cash only, we tried paying with a card and was met with "we're cash only." "Okay, we didn't see a sign." "Yup, it's there." Awesome, this experience is going really well. The ice cream. Honestly I thought they scooped our chocolate peanut butter from a turkey hill container. I like turkey hill. But there was nothing that stood out to make this 'cool scoops' and certainly not for the price. Hubby's brownie sundae ran us around $11 and for the size, it makes other places look like a bargain! I don't want this place to go out of business, and I don't believe my words have enough power for that as I'm clearly in the minority here. But if you're going between trying this place or some other staple of wildwood, save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

This place is a treasure to find ! The ice cream is wonderful, and very reasonable. CASH only thoughwhich is fine I will def be going back there-they had memorabilia that requires A LOT of future visits ! Icecream excellent - they have soft serve and scoops- the salted vanilla and caramel w/ pretzels was excellent ! And the owner Laurie was so warm and welcoming !!!! This place is such a treasure I think it should have more than 5 stars

Great service crowded place but moved quickly. Delicious Ice cream. Prices very high. 3 small adult sundaes and 2 tiny children's sundaes came to $34. (Before I tipped)
