Amazing place. Tiny, chic and friendly. I literally called 8 stores in NYC about any available Chartreuse knowing it was a rare find. Most stores copped and attitude: "check our website!", " Don't you know that's impossible to get right now" or " I've heard that there might be a store in Brooklyn that may have it, but you're crazy if you think can get it on the island." Well the staff in this tiny shop could not have been more friendly or personable. She said: "For sure, we've got a 375ml green and a 750ml yellow but there's a fantastic new local comparable concoction Faccia Brutto Centerbe that you have to try!".
I made it there pronto. She was amicable and unpretentious.
I bought all 3. She said let me know about your taste test.
Well the Centerbe was close but as my wife described the Green Chartreuse was "thicker and stickier" (probably the honey) and has a 55%ABV vs the 45%ABV but it was close and would easily serve as a good substitute minus the possible Wormwood??????.
This was one of the smallest, coolest shops with a great vibe and amazing customer service. Kudos!!!!
