CoolRooms Palacio de Atocha

By far one of our Favorite Hotels in Madrid. Do not let the name of the hotel fool you. The rooms are spacious and super high quality, clean and better than some of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in. All with luxurious touches and every detail you need for a great stay. We were with our son and the suite is spacious and super comfortable with a great clean design. The service from the front desk to the entire staff is amazing. They provided our son with a home-made cookie- and it is the little items like fresh water and treats while checking into the hotel. The food-inhouse- poolside and room service is top notch. Some of the best croquettes in Spain we had poolside. The small pool in the rear is a mini retreat from the Madrid summer heat. The location is also great to get to Plaza Sanatan or Plaza Major with so many great restaurants and tapas bars all nearby. The entire staff is so kind and we love this hotel. Five star ***** hotel in my opinion. Savvy traveler from NYC.

We are a family of 3 (8 year old child), and we all absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were incredibly spacious, the bathroom was beautiful and shower was huge, the bed was so comfortable. The staff was amazing, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel was perfectly located within walking distance to all the major attractions (and also to the subway if you prefer not to walk). Since we visited in July, we did our sightseeing all day, then relaxed by the pool in the late afternoon and it was absolutely perfect. We were so happy to have the pool since the days were so hot and tiring. The pool was not ever crowded and we were able to get a seat every day. We will definitely be staying here again! This was one of our best hotel experiences yet!

Beautiful hotel - we stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute! Our room was absolutely gorgeous, so spacious and well designed. It was an absolute pleasure. The staff was fantastic, the location was great. I have zero complaints! The staff even packed us some water and snacks for our early morning flight which was such a nice gesture. Highly recommend staying here, you will not regret it. BTW the soaps / lotions are to die for - apparently it's the brand the queen of England used to use so there ya go!

I cannot say enough good things about CoolRooms Madrid! We had booked an Airbnb that unfortunately did not have properly functioning AC. We booked CoolRooms last minute, and it saved our trip. We booked a two bedroom suite. It was spacious and beautiful without being stuffy. The beds and then linens were incredibly comfortable. The pool, although petite, was perfect for a quick plunge to cool down and play with our 2 year old. The food was solid. Most importantly, the service was excellent! Every person we interacted with was very kind and helpful. They even set up a tiny tent in the room for our child and gifted him a teddy bear which days later he continues to hold. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! We will be back 🤩

Myself, my wife and our 12yr old son stayed in the Junior Suite from June 25-29th|Very good location. Very relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service and the breakfast was delicious. Room was very large and quiet. We arrived at 10am and they allowed us to check in early after flying overnight from Toronto. Strongly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Madrid.

From check-in to turn-down, every moment was handled with warmth and care. At one point, the concierge described the hotel as “an oasis in the heart of Madrid,” and I couldn’t agree more. One thoughtful highlight: a perfectly curated welcome tray in the room with artisanal snacks, olives, and a chilled vermouth setup—a small detail that made a big impression. Be sure to dine at the hotel restaurant. It’s one of the best meals we had during our trip—creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

This is the second time we have stayed at the cool rooms and each time was wonderful. The location is fantastic and the staff makes your stay all you can hope for. The food is delicious and the pool make for a great treat!
