The Best Fried Chicken in Jacksonville, Florida | Eater Miami

"Coop 303 has been showing Jacksonville how fried chicken can go from a humble dinner to something truly special. The chicken and waffles are anything but the standard variety, topped with a sweet maple crema, spicy Fresno hot jelly, and a sweet and savory onion jam. For something more traditional, the fried chicken basket comes with either four or eight pieces of chicken that is brined in dill pickle juice and pressure fried so the interior of the chicken is tender while the outside crust doesn’t get too dark."

Great food and drinks at Coop 303. The roof patio was covered and had fans to keep us comfortable on a hot summer afternoon. Tried the white wine sangria, loaded tots, coastal side salad, and fried chicken with Mac n cheese. Very filling and tasty! Friendly service!

Google
i have to be honest, i had really high hopes for the restaurant as i’ve seen it on jacksonville best eats pages, etc. unfortunately my experience here just wasn’t what i expected and was extremely lack luster…i went with a friend and upon arrival there was no one at the host stand and we waited around 5 minutes before someone asked if we had been helped to which we said no and then were seated. (keep in mind, there was only 2 other tables seated on the main floor) we ordered two drinks, a firecracker margarita and a kentucky mule. i can handle spice very well and the margarita legitimately tasted like hot sauce. it was to the point where i could not enjoy it. the kentucky mule was filled with chunks of ginger and also almost undrinkable. we did not finish either of our drinks. the loaded tater tots for appetizer honestly weren’t bad and probably the highlight of the entire meal. moving on to our entrees, we got the french toast cuban monte cristo. sounded good on paper, but in practice i don’t think so. there were so many flavors going on it was impossible to enjoy as well. i took one bite of the sandwich and put it to the side. my friend ate half of a half, before putting it to the side. our server came to check on us all of 2 times for the hour we were there. this is the first time i’m never gotten a to-go box. the server did ask why and we honestly felt bad but explained everything to her and she advised she was going to speak to her manager. while we didn’t ask for anything to be taken off our bill, the manager gave us 50% off of the sandwich (that i didn’t eat) and we still ended up with a $70 bill. i’m not expecting anything from this review but, waited a few days to be a little more level headed before writing this. we love trying food spots in jax, but this is one place we will most likely not go back to

Google
Nice restaurant at the beach that offers valet parking. The service was pretty good. The restaurant was clean, we went on a Saturday for brunch. The chicken sandwich was OK as the chicken breast was a little dry for my liking. The tater tots was the best. The shrimp appetizer was not the best as it had a sweet taste, and I was looking for more of a spice. My friend got the French toast and chicken on the side. She enjoyed her French toast and chicken. They have seating indoors and outdoor which is nice.

Google
Very good food and exceptional service. Had a birthday dinner for Dad. Sat upstairs and looked over the Christmas lights wrapped around all the palm trees on Atlantic Blvd which was lovely. Porkchop was delicious. And had the fried green tomato appetizer (Peaches and Cream). Also delicious. Exceptional service from Jason.

Google
I went there for my birthday celebration with a few friends. We sat outside at the lounge then had dinner. Food was amazing. If you like espresso martinis RJ makes one of the best.

Google

We sat at the rooftop and had a wonderful time. We rode up on an elevator that actually had chairs for customers to sit down in. I thought this was so cute. The rooftop experience was the best. Despite the cold weather, we were nice and warm with the ceiling heaters over each table. The food was delicious and came out in record speed. The waitress was delightful. I will definitely come back.

Google
Their peaches and cream appetizers could drive people crazy!!! Hahahaha, seriously it becomes one of my favorites appetizers, the bartender recommended that appetizers and the chicken breast salad, and I take that.. both was delicious, besides the services was goodness. For my drink I have the classic old fashioned who was fantastic. Unfortunately I couldn’t climb to the rooftop, there no doubt I’ll be back!!

Yelp
First dinner in Jacksonville FL for us, and if this is a sign of the food here, this trip will be very enjoyable. I was little nervous based on some of the other reviews, but glad we still tried. The ambiance was so cute in the heart of Atlantic beach. They have indoor and out seating, unfortunately it's freezing here so we sat inside. The entire staff from walk in and leaving were so friendly and engaging. Only bad thing is parking. Restaurant is located in like a little strip and it was packed so took us a while driving around to find a spot. The food...everything we ordered was so good from the drinks to desserts. Our server was great. Service was timely. He was so attentive probably had one too many drinks(haha). We started the meal with the lamb lollipops, which were Delicious. Then the mains were hot honey salmon that was cooked perfectly and I could of drank the asparagus sweet onion puree. Whole fish fry, and the catch of the day was red snapper. The fish was cooked perfectly, very flaky and tasty. Red potatoes and Mac and cheese were great sides as well. Then ended the meal with a hot caramel apple cobbler. Breaking into the warm flaky crust and diving into the hot caramel apple inside topped with warm ice cream, YUM YUM YUM! Great experience.

Yelp
There were two servers for our table one for each side. We had to ask to order our drinks, had to go to the bar to get refills (we were there for 2 hrs, refill wasn't offered entire time) had to ask for steak knives on our side of table (other sides server only had enough for them) seating was extremely cramped and metal chairs were extremely uncomfortable. Very limited menu and the majority of the steaks we ordered ( at least 4) were either severely undercooked or overcooked. Servers disappeared frequently, Best thing they did all night was not take automatic gratuity. We had a large party reservation and 80 percent of our ppl said they would not return for the food or service. I try to give the benefit of doubt but it was one thing after the other during this experience. I just can't justify the mediocrity of the food for the price and service. I will say that the restaraunt was beautiful, the hostess was friendly and welcoming and the complimentary valet was a nice perk. I

Yelp
Coop 303 has a wonderful ambience located in the heart of Atlantic Beach! I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday and loved how they could accommodate a large party! My husband and I tried both the Peaches and Cream appetizer and the Hot Chicken sliders which were both delicious. The peaches and cream stood out to us with the burrata on top! For our man we shared a burger and I was sad to see the burger looking like a frozen store bought patty. It lacked flavor and was a rather tough texture. The service was good considering our large party, however the food took awhile to get. If you're looking for good drinks and fried chicken, this is your place.

Yelp
The service provided was far beyond my expectations. The aesthetics of the building adorned with Christmas decorations was an eyeful. The location is quite busy but the complimentary parking was perfect and convenient . The mussels were delicious and well seasoned. The red snapper was the star of the show, perfectly seasoned and huge. I really liked the brussel sprouts too. The fried chicken was fried to perfection but lacked seasons. All together the experience was wonderful and well deserved of a second trip back.

Yelp
We Flew The Coop! Good ambiance on the ground floor, knowledgeable server with expedited cocktails from the nearby bar. Now the food: Chimichurri Shrimp was a flavor pack exciting combination with a spectacular presentation, my dish included a broken rubber-band embedded within the sauce. Upon notifying the manager of this event he informed me he would advise the Chief he as well as the server offered a free desert as compensation for this unusual circumstance. I passed expecting my meal to be comped - it wasn't. We shall not return. .

Yelp
A wonderful experience at Coop 303! This area of Jax Beach is so cute, filled with a ton of walkable shops and restaurants. It was the weekend so it was quite packed, and most of the restaurants had over an hour wait. Fortunately, we walked into Coop 303 at the right time because the three of us were able to be seated right away. Service was fantastic! The menu is small, but filled with delicious options. We had to start with the Peaches & Cream - fried green tomatoes, burrata cheese, peach jam, and a mustard balsamic reduction. We also ordered the baked oysters, and as my main I went with the Coop 303 Fried Chicken Basket - 48 hour dill pickle brined. Incredible and so juicy! The truffle parmesan tater tots were the perfect side along with garlic mashed potatoes. If you didn't already know, I'm a potato girly. Hope to make it back here again for another delicious dinner!

Yelp
Came here for brunch with a group of 8. Ambiance is very cute and modern and service was very good. Refilled my coffee many times and came around just enough (but not too much) and were very friendly. The appetizer Peaches & Cream was probably the best item I tried. Would go again just to order it again. Also had the hot chicken sandwich which was OK; wish the chicken was spicier and due to the aioli, it made the waffles a little soggy but I added a little Tabasco and it made it better. It came with a side of your choice and I got the Brussels sprouts. This is a great place for a group setting and they also have an upstairs area that opens during the evening.

Yelp
I think the tipping point of this mediocre dining experience was when we received the bill and saw that they had added a 4% "pay cash and save" charge to our bill. We live down the street and frequently dine at the Beaches Towne Center restaurants. This is the first time we've been charged for using a credit card, to say I'm offended is an understatement. Also, their valet parked cars in the middle of the neighborhood sidewalks. To be fair, they were busy on Friday night but it made walking to the restaurant dangerous and *especially* difficult for anyone handicapped and/or trying to use the sidewalks. #dobetter

Yelp
A must see! We stopped in for drinks and will be back for food another day. The ambience was fabulous. Such a low key, relaxing vibe at Coop 303. I was most excited to see their liquor selections at the bar as they had some lesser known high end favorites. The bartender, Joe, was both knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with. He made the evening more enjoyable and is a tremendous asset to Coop 303. We will definitely be back next time we are in Jacksonville.

Yelp
This is a restaurant right in the heart of Atlantic Beach so there is a lot of people! If they don't not want children in the restaurant, maybe state that?!? We were 11 people with 3 kids and they were not allowed up stairs while we got a drink there; admittedly we thought we would see the ocean but it was all closed in and on the dark side...I guess they'd call atmosphere. We got 2 drinks and took them down stairs to our party. The waitress worked hard and everyone got their food. My chicken was crisp, my salad nice, the creamed spinach I didn't taste any flavor. Chix n waffles were a hit with the kids. My hubby liked his ahi tuna on rice noodles and everyone else seemed to like their food.
google avatar

Katherine V.

Yelp
We loved the food here and the drinks were also really good! The servers were friendly and helpful to us and the kids... they have kids menu which was very yummy they loved every bite! Dessert was also really good! The place look amazing and they have a bar upstairs which is 21+ and we will for sure coming back soon without the kiddos to try it as well :)

Yelp
We live in Atlantic Beach and have been to Coop 303 on several occasions. Our last visit there was to celebrate the untimely death of our son. The staff was incredibly kind, understanding and accommodating of our circumstance. The restaurant manager Michael not only made sure our specific vision for our meal was met but he also frequently checked on us throughout the night to make sure we were okay. The food was excellent as always, and our server was prompt and accurate. I wholeheartedly recommend Coop 303 for a nice night out. The rooftop top bar is a hidden gem that deserves visiting when you are there. Even though it was a cool night, the restaurant ran the heaters in the rooftop bar area keeping it pleasant for the patrons.
google avatar

Chelsea J.

Yelp
Came here after hurricane Milton and had the absolute best service and food. We had the peaches and cream appetizer (delish), fried whole snapper and the shrimp diablo. My son had the kids menu Mac and cheese which was large but he loved it so much he ordered a second serving of it! The host was amazing and brought us some bandaids we asked for. The servers were so attentive we never had to wait for a thing. Definitely coming back if we are in the area again.

Yelp
Good food, good service and good ambiance , love it ! Also parking what is amazing considering is in the beach

Yelp
Went for brunch with a group of 6 between wedding dress appointments. We sat upstairs and outside, it was okay. Being so close to the beach, it was disappointing to not feel like you were at the beach. The street noise and view of construction next door was not great, I would recommend inside dining. Our server was lovely and very enthusiastic, but also told us she had been working here about a week. I think this contributed to getting the order wrong. What I received was not tasty but we didn't have time to send it back. The seasonal vegetable side was asparagus, but unfortunately was 5-6 of the largest stalks of flavorless asparagus I've ever eaten. Most of the others in our party felt the food was just okay.

Yelp
Coop Brunch has been redesigned and the menu is great! Definitely something for everyone, whether you're coming for the fried chicken, breakfast or more of a lunch vibe, they have it all.
google avatar

Andre G.

Yelp
Coop 303 is one of our favorites. The chicken is their highlight, yet every other dish we have tried has been superb. We have yet to visit and not order the fried green tomatoes with cheese on top. Unbelievably yummy! The servers are always caring and attentive, and the views are fantastic. Located on the beautiful street merging Atlantic and Neptune beach, it offers a great opportunity to people watch from their balcony seating. With the weather warming up again, it is the perfect time to enjoy the rays. Also, they make perfect cocktails, especially the watermelon and mint combination. Who knew those could be so good together?! And don't forget dessert because they always have something delicious to offer. The indoor decor is also top-notch and they offer great event spaces.

Yelp
Just had my birthday dinner here last night with a large group of friends! They were very accommodating for a large group and can fit in large reservations easily due to the restaurant being so big! All my friends loved the food and we loved the ambiance ecspeically the coop sign for a good picture spot. I got the calamari, chicken and waffles and mac and cheese! The aioli on the calamari was delicious and it was very crunchy. The chicken was juicy and the mac and cheese was very saucy! Would come with a large group here again!

Yelp
If I am honest I think I would give this place a 3.5 for food and service but the drink are so good I am going to give it 4 stars this time. I think this is an excellent place to come and grab a few drinks and a snack. There is always a cool crowd at Coop 303 with lots of friends and families meeting up. When I have been there are always large crowds. We ordered the peaches and cream I was good but it was a bit expensive for what we got. We also ordered the Nashville hot chicken sliders also good but the chicken was a bit small on ours (that might have been a fluke). For my drink I got the Bless your Heart, it was delicious not too sweet and strong without being too strong. With sooo many great restaurants in the area I will be back to Coop 303 but I won't be running to go back again.

Yelp
This place was wonderful! We went for brunch on our way out of town and were very happy with our experience. First off, the interior and exterior are beautiful! They have a rooftop seating area that is shaded which is a must for Florida, the atmosphere is great! Inside there are several rooms, off to the right when you first walk in looks like an area that could be used for a private event, there are also booths in that same room that are semi private which is nice! The decorating is beautiful, very welcoming and fresh feeling. Kind of farmhouse, kind of chic with the greenery elements. As for food and drinks, we didn't drink much but I did get a local beer and my friend got a michelada, both were what we expected. For food we got the Peaches & Cream as an app, it was really good I just wish the burrata was at least room temp. It was cold which kind of clashed with the hot fried green tomatoes. I had a hard time choosing an entree but I ultimately decided on the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich. Let me forewarn you, there is no way to eat this as an actual sandwich with your hands unless you don't mind getting messy I opted to fork and knife it and it was just as good. The white chocolate waffle wasn't very white chocolately but it still tasted great! I loved the pimento cheese and tequila pickles. The combination of flavors worked very well. Other items that our table ordered were the loaded tots, the seasonal salad (which looked SO yummy) and the smash burger. Coop 303 was all around a wonderful time and if I lived closer I would absolutely go back!

Yelp
My husband and I go to coop pretty often since it is close to us. I love the friend Chicken breast salad. They had a whiskey pairing dinner a few weeks ago that we went to. I have been to wine dinners before but a whiskey one was a first and it was great. The gentleman from Penelope whiskey was super entertaining, the portions of food were generous and the drinks were fantastic. I would love it if they keep doing pairings. It was a nice departure from the ordinary.

Yelp
Coop 303 was a pretty decent spot to eat at for brunch. We ate on the rooftop which was a great location (elevator available), although it gets very loud very fast with multiple parties. I tried the parmesan truffle fries for the appetizer, the breakfast bowl for brunch, and split the oreo cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake. In all, something that I noticed throughout all items was that everything seemed a little bland. Nothing stood out as unique or special to me, although it tasted good. The fries were great (double fried/battered), but could use a lot more parmesan in my opinion. The breakfast bowl was pretty mediocre, and I was left wanting more flavor, especially on the chicken (their specialty). The eggs were pretty watery. The oreo cheesecake was so light - a great desert, while the flourless chocolate cake was just too much chocolate for my taste, and I love chocolate. Not bad, just not for me. The service was amazing (very attentive). In all, a good brunch spot for a party, but don't expect food you think about later.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Coop is one of our favorite places to eat whether it is brunch, lunch, or dinner. The food is incredible with unique dishes like fried green tomatoes topped with peaches and cream, and the views from the roof are outstanding with the most beautiful flowers. Our service has been great each visit as well.

Andrew W.

Yelp
Coop 303 is a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful culinary experience in Jacksonville. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual night out. I was particularly impressed with the speed of the food and the exceptional service provided by Sierra, the bartender, and Jaelyn, the server. My gin martini, extra dirty, was expertly crafted by Sierra, and the Parmesan truffle tots were a standout. Jaelyn was attentive and helpful, ensuring that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. If you're looking for a place to enjoy delicious food and great drinks, Coop 303 is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
We've always wanted to try Coop, 303 and we are never really over in the area much. This place was fantastic! It's a big clean restaurant with excellent service, and the food was amazing. The peaches and cream appetizer is a must have and I've never had anything like it anywhere else and I went with the chicken and waffles for dinner, which was absolutely amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
Girly lunch date? A reason to indulge in the peaches and cream app? I'll take both please! I can't say enough about the ole coop. The service is above par and has been consistent since day one. As for the chef, please keep frying those peaches because the beaches can't get enough! The best day date is a drink and a few apps BUT the peaches and cream sparks my pallet with joy every time without fail. For all the selfie people...outside on the patio is where the lighting is best... and it's filled with a beautiful greenery back drop. Mmmm hmmm it's basically a SELFIE-foodie-space all in one. Coop 303 is located in the beautiful heart of Atlantic beach over looking some other sweet spots to check out in passing... you can't miss it! Forget about trying to find a spot for the car as they offer complimentary valet parking! Please tip your valet peeps. It's hot out here in Florida and you just beat a parking ticket and a paid parking spot. You're welcome. Enjoy!

Yelp
If you're looking for great ambience this is a really nice place. The service was great we had no problems at all. But, the food fell very short. It was under seasoned and the combinations just didn't work well together. If I were rating food only I would have given this place a 1 but because of ambiance and service I rated a 3. This is also a nice place if you're going for instagramable food.

Yelp
First things first, despite the name and somewhat of a theme, this place does not specialize in chicken. We probably should have asked about the name, but alas. The inside was semi swanky, but not full scale. Overall aesthics, swanky, but then there's a random poster from a car wash framed on the wall next to the restrooms, and a wall to wall up close and personal black and white photo of a cow, inside a place called Coop and a rooster in its logo, weird. The dress code was a mixed bag. Food was swanky, but not outrageously priced. The staff were all surprisingly polite, which i didnt expect from the looks of the place (I misjudged). My wife got the Hot Honey Glazed Salmon and I got the Ahi Tuna Steak over ginger rice noodles. Her food was all good, but there could have been more potatoes. She said it was delicious, but for some reason she tasted more of the glaze on the potatoes than the actual fish. The helping of hers wasnt much, but she was fufilled. My dish was fantastic, light, yet filling. The tuna was cooked nicely, flaky, yet firm and not at all dry. The noodles were especially tasty in their sauce. My helping was just right. They didn't stiff me, nor did I feel overly stuffed when I finished my plate. Just a welcomed sense of fulfillment. It's a nice little date night spot I'd say, just avoid eye contact with the cow.

Yelp
This is a nice place to celebrate but not an everyday type restaurant. The menu was very small, only on one side and did not have many options. They did have a vegetarian option but it wasn't anything I was in the mood for that day so I just got the Parm fries that were on the starter section. I did feel like they were too salty so I didn't have a ton. I got an espresso martini that was delicious and tried my friend's Moscow mule and it was good but not very carbonated. My friend did order the stake and the portion size was very large so that was a positive. It's close to the beach so the parking is hard but they do have free valet out front.
google avatar

Rachelle S.

Yelp
Stopped in for a few snacks and drinks. At first, the service was fantastic and very attentive. After we ordered, our server vanished and did not return until it was time for our check. Fries were fantastic as were the sliders, the shrimp was not what I had in mind, just some shrimp dropped into a pool of weird sauce. We sat upstairs and it was beautiful and perfect for a sunny day out.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
This restaurant is located on Atlantic Avenue amongst several other restaurants on that street. The ambiance was great, and so was the music. Our party included eight people. Some of the entrees we ordered were the jambalaya, the scallops, a burger, the fried chicken basket, the nashville sliders, and the blt salad. Everything tasted good, but the blt salad could have used a little less dressing. The entrees were also served at different times, instead of all at once. Other than that, we really enjoyed dining here.

Yelp
Great experience from the minute we walked in the door. We were warmly welcomed by the hostesses and shown to our table immediately. The roof top deck was cool and shaded with a nice view of the shops below. (We weren't near the railing, which may have had a water view.) We had quick apps and drinks Jaelyn took excellent cars off us and had great recommendations. Hubby had Nashville chicken sliders and I had the Peaches & Cream. Best dish I've had in months.... creamy burrata, fried green tomatoes and the sweetest peaches! We also shared the loaded tots, I'll be ordering both again next visit. Also loved the cocktails, we'll be back soon!
google avatar

Antonio G.

Yelp
The ambiance was extremely beautiful, we were on the roof top, seeing a beautiful view of the strip. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive took great care of us. The drinks were good, very strong. The food was very average, kind of bland, I would go back just for drinks. Love the view.

Yelp
Coop 303 may have one of the most aesthetically-pleasing private party rooms in town. Our crowd of ~26 people had a great time celebrating my bridal shower! They set up the tables beautifully, and gave my MOH full reign over the room. The natural lighting is great! The service was quick and friendly. The calamari is delicious. For our party, we had to preselect our brunch options. The benedict is wonderful. The regular breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, and bacon came out cold, but that may be because of the bulk order. All in all, Coop 303 was an amazing place to throw a party, and we would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Yelp
Wow! What delicious Brunch and awesome staff. It was a last minute Birthday Celebration on the day of Donna's run. Downtown Beach was packed with people. Complimentary Valet was a great addition to easy access. Now for the food. It was Sunday Brunch and the choices were numerous making for hard decisions. My choice was the Monte Cristo Cuban. This culinary treat was served on French toast with Tasso ham, provolone cheese, mustard, maple cream, homemade pickles and mustard with a side of maple syrup. Wow! The flavors danced in my mouth. Delicious Bloody Mary's, Mimosas and The Helen Dobson adorned our table. If you haven't tried the Helen Dobson .. you must. The service by Jaelyn was impeccable. Attentive, friendly and not over bearing. Thanks Coop303 for a great Sunday!

Yelp
The 2 stars is for the ambiance, what a pretty restaurant! The rest of the experience was terrible. We came in on a Tuesday night, it was very slow. Yet, they couldn't seem to get anything right from the start, I can't imagine coming when it's busy. We sat at a table upstairs and the fans were on full blast right in our faces. We asked the waitress if she could turn them down, she said "no problem" and then never did. We ordered drinks, first round came. Ordered a second, only 1 drink out of 3 came. Asked again for the drinks. Never came. Got our food, no drinks. So, we went downstairs ourselves to get our drinks from the bar. Waitress came back to the table later, didn't say a word about the drinks--no "hey sorry we aren't busy and I couldn't get you your drinks!" Food was not good. First, Each meal came out at a different time, a few minutes apart. And This is a chicken place, right? I'd save your money and go to Metro diner for their chicken and waffles. It didn't come with butter or maple syrup-very dry, weird onion jam only and serving size was for an app not a meal. Shrimp chimichurri was very oily and made me sick later. Calamari was good but doused in aioli sauce- maybe let us dip it ourselves? But the waitress did mention the drinks that never came when she brought us our tab to pay and said "thanks so much for being cool about your drinks! Goodnight!" Im so over spending money at these overpriced places that do nothing but disappoint. So if they can't do better, they get the review.

Yelp
What an amazing meal! We had the 4 piece chicken basket with greens and grits as our sides and yummy! Everything was excellent. Our appetizer was just as good. Tater tots with pulled pork and aioli Mayo. I gave it 4 stars because I had to go to the bar to get our drinks as our server disappeared but after that hiccup the service was excellent!

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance but the food was very mediocre, and the service could and should be so much better especially for a slow week night.

Yelp
I'll be honest and say John and I had never been because of my food allergy and the menu is packed with dishes with peppers. When dad chose this restaurant for the rehearsal dinner I was a little skeptical- but he was able to list that some guests had allergies and/or dietary needs like gluten free and vegan and they said they could accommodate all of those needs. Dad was a little irritated- they had booked the separate room, but we landed in the main dining room at one long table for 28 people. It was very loud- a party our size simply dominated the space. I honestly felt bad for other guests dining during our time there. The food was great- I ordered the braised short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes and substituted seasonal veggies for the vegetable mash that had peppers. John surprised me and opted for the shrimp and grits- which he enjoyed very much. The fried chicken looked great and that dish was a lot of food! Grouper was also offered as one of the dishes, and again- the dish looked delicious. I learned that in the entirety of the menu, I could only eat 3 dishes (for future reference) and one of them is a food I don't like- so really, I could only eat two different plates if we went again. The braised short ribs were so good- I would return for that. We also ordered a side of the mac-n-cheese (because it looked so good) and it has a smokey taste to it, I wasn't sure if I liked that or not- so on the fence. Upstairs they have a rooftop patio space which is gorgeous and the bar upstairs was fantastic. We arrived early and started upstairs at the bar. My Aunt ordered a skinny margarita upstairs and loved it- just a basic margarita, not sweet, salt on the rim. When we went downstairs she ordered another one from our server and the downstairs bar and they added something completely different (a syrup?) and it was not at all what she wanted. The server insisted there wasn't any fruit syrup added and that different bartenders make drinks differently and didn't really offer a solution. I suggested she go back upstairs and get the same one as before, which she did- but she had to almost argue with the bartender upstairs to order it- he told her now that she was seated downstairs she should be getting her drinks trough her server and that bar downstairs. It was a shut up and take my money moment. She did get the correct drink and you could see the color difference between the two. The server was a little put off when she realized what we did- but seriously, you didn't offer a solution. So- one star dinged for some basic miscommunication between reservations and serving staff.

Yelp
Two bars with table seating as well, a main dining area, and outdoor seating. Interesting menu items, well prepared, and consistently delicious. What it needs to get 5 stars? Improved cocktails.

Yelp
This place is a bar NOT a restaurant. Went in for lunch. The appetizer came before our bottle of wine so we had food but nothing to drink. Service was also extremely slow on an extremely manageable lunch crowd. The food was under the heat lamp for far too long and tasted like metal. In fact the food was so bad the table of 4 had 2 bites of each dish and was done. Over salted and dry on every dish. If you are looking for dinner don't eat here. If you need a social atmosphere with a drink it's great. If you are looking to dine, this is definitely not your spot. All in all, this place is overrated.

Yelp
We had a great dinner experience here tonight. This place has a neat vibe with different rooms and seating areas (including outdoors when the weather is right). The hostess was great in offering up a table upstairs by the bar so we could watch the SuperBowl. We started with the Salmon Cakes. They had great flavor and weren't dry. The accompanying sauce was a nice touch but the flavor of the cakes themselves didn't require it. We split the Roasted Beet Salad. They have the balance of beets with the greens and other ingredients right. So far, so good with our meal, and it was what we had as our main dish that really made our night. My husband went with the Seared Rare Ahi Tuna Steak. The Honey sriracha glaze added great flavor without overwhelming heat. The fish was perfectly seared with the black pepper seasoning. The ginger rice noodles were a great accompaniment. I went with the Daily Fresh Catch which was Monk fish. The fish was cooked perfectly with a great flavor. The vegetable medley had great flavor. I don't know when I've ever had that kind of reaction to a vegetable medley! The portions of each dish were the right amount to eat and not feel overstuffed with your meal. Our server, Taylor, provided great service throughout our dinner. We look forward to coming again when we're in town.

Yelp
This is an absolutely amazing place! The food is mouthwateringly delicious. I tried their tater tots with pulled pork, which was an absolute treasure. We agreed it was the best thing. We tried their southern chicken sliders, which were crispy and tasty. We had there calamari, which had a creamy aioli drizzled on top of it. It made the dish! I like my calamari with lots of lemon though, or marinara sauce, so my favorite was still the pulled pork. We also sampled the fried green tomatoes with burrata and peaches on top. It was astronomical. This place has an inside downstairs, inside bar area upstairs, outside upstairs, and a parking lot for their customers. You will still probably have to park on the road or in the parking lot, but it's only a few dollars. I was very happy with this place, although I don't think I can bring a few of my friends here as they do not have many vegetarian options that I saw. I might be wrong.

Yelp
I work in hospitality and do not post negative reviews, but this is necessary. Food is average. However, in an otherwise large & empty restaurant... a very loud and large table was sat behind us. Fine. It happens. When bringing the frustration to the managers attention (manager Rachel Adams) was combative in response and rude. Very disappointing. The Service score was not reflective of our server - Only the inappropriate behavior of the manager.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a birthday and when i tell you theyve earned EVERY STAR, they do! There is complementary valet which set the tone for the restaurant. He was efficient and prompt. My server KNEW the menu, was personable and attentive. We sat outside under a large patio with several fans to keep us cool, and it could not have been more beautiful as it overlooks the other restaurant and the other close by restaurants. After a day in the pool and at the beach, by the time we got ready for dinner, i was really hungry so immediately i ordered the BLT salad. I didnt read about it and once it got delivered I realized that it was made with arugula. I don't like arugula but The flavors on the salad blended well and most of this dish got eaten. For dinner we ordered Steak Frites and Beef Short Ribs. We both ate off each other's plates as everything was delicious! The potato cake that came with the short ribs were amazing! And the frites (fries) with the steak dish were crunchy and tasted great with the sauce from the steak. Both dishes are tender, with amazing sauces that are just the right consistency. You don't have to worry about the sauce running all over your plate and looking messy. We ordered Southern Mistress and Unforgettable to drink and enjoyed sipping on them slowly. The drinks were good but we were outside and didn't want to become too hot or sticky. Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant. If you're in the area, I recommend giving them a try.

Coops is by far the best BBQ I have ever had.. if you want to try this amazing food you better get there early get in line if you have to.. they are fast to get you in the door and it beyond worth the wait. The brisket is mouth watering melts in your mouth that your best dream couldn't compare.. don't stop there .. ribs yes . Mac and cheese please.. cornbread- nothing you order will disappoint. The service is just as good as the food.. the only bad thing is I moved to Florida and I need my Coops here.. Yelp
Dinner was great at Coop 303. Tomato basil soup was refreshing and comforting. Burger was delicious and well seasoned. My favorite dish was the Ahi Tuna well seasoned perfect cook and the noodles were acidic and sweet. Steak frites were okay.. nothing to write home about steak could've used better seasoning and a better cut the one we had a lot of fat and we cook New York at home all the time and don't have that much fat on ours. Great service and good atmosphere! Would recommend.
