Cooper's Daughter Spirits

We dropped by Cooper's Daughter on a Saturday evening and enjoyed the outdoor vibes. The menu has an eclectic mix of drinks and the overall experience was excellent. You can get the recipes and the ingredients to your favorite cocktails so that you can make them at home (if you're so inclined). Highly recommend!

Mission accomished today at Cooper's Daughter Spirits at Olde York Farm What a wonderful way to chill on a summer afternoon. (We were already fans of Cooper's Daughter black walnut bourbon.) A tasting tent and food trucks accompany plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Picnic tables, Adirondack chairs around a fire, cover pavilion and an indoor air conditioned barrel room.

My family owned a home in local Churchtown from 1960 to 1998; I basically grew up there. My 37 year old son visited Cooper's daughter a few weeks ago and loved it. He bought me back a bottle of Black Walnut Bourbon. One of best bourbon's I've had. I can't wait to visit myself! All the best.

What a lovely afternoon we had. GPS to find it and it's worth it. Small secluded area, wonderful spirits and fun food. The place oozes relaxation. I tasted and bought two bottles, Peach Whiskey and a Bourbon. We had an artisan pizza and finished with an ice cream. There is a fire pit , picnic tables and corn hole game. We spent about 2 hours there. Definitely recommend.

Loved our time here! Stopped by on a cool Sunday — the fire pit was going, there were yard games, and a pizza food truck was parked on site. We did a tasting and then got a cocktail, which was perfect for us. We also make sure to buy some spirits for home. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area, and also check out their onsite BnB (it’s on my list!). Edit: Stayed on the property recently for the weekend and it was amazing! We were there on a snowy weekend and they made sure we could get our car out which made us felt cared for ☺️. Would definitely stay again!

A magical place. Beautiful grounds. Renovated barn/tasting room where the delicious cocktails are made with their small batch vodka bourbon and liquors. They also serve small brewery beers on tap and excellent sandwiches mostly made from local products. Best of all the owners couldn’t be warmer and engage all of their customers. Sometimes they have delicious food trucks and fabulous entertainment. Plus, in the main house there is a gorgeous b&b facing a stunning waterfall.

We went on a nice winery tour in the area and ended our day at Coopers Daughter! My humans were drinking some delicious hot apple drink with pumpkin spiced bourbon. No idea what that is but they just kept going “mmmmm” making me mad they didn’t share. Luckily there was another golden and a few chihuahuas to play with. The grounds were very accommodating for me to run around. There was a huge fire pit to keep everyone warm during that fall evening. Everyone was happy with their drinks and the atmosphere was amazing. Perfect end to a day out in the country.

I had the best afternoon here. Highly recommend if you're in the area. 15 min scenic drive from downtown Hudson. Had to get a flight to sample everything, we bought 4 bottles! Unique and incredible flavors! Huge fire pit, nice area to spread out, some people brought their own blankets to sit on. There's a very friendly dog who runs around asking all guests to play catch with him. There was only 1 bathroom but it was clean

Picked up the smoked maple bourbon at a farmer's market yesterday. Unlike most of the bourbons at farmer's markets or similar, this one is very good. Really liked the black walnut as well but purchased this one. They both have a nice edge to them along with the started flavor profile. And, that it's woman owned is a bonus in terms of the purchase. Glad to support them and also take home a nice bottle of bourbon. Cheers!

Great spirits, friendly staff. Took a tour with a group of friends a few years ago and it was incredibly informative and fun!

Before visiting the Cooper's Daughter site, I had tasted the Black Walnut Bourbon and it was amazing. It's 80 proof and as smooth as can be with a subtle walnut flavor. When my friend visited from out of town, I wanted to bring her there to sample the other spirits they make. We had a wonderful experience. We sampled all 13 spirits-bourbons, vodkas, and liqueurs, and I was blown away. Every single one of them could be consumed straight/on the rocks/with soda. They were all delicious. The pumpkin spice vodka tasted just like the cookies I make in the fall. The cacao maple bourbon tasted like chocolate. The Cooper's Daughter has managed to take the alcohol taste out of alcohol and it's incredible. Their site (basically a backyard behind a lovely old home) has indoor and outdoor seating, including picnic tables and a fire pit surrounded by chairs. There was also a food truck there that served bar snacks and such. We didn't try it, because we were headed to lunch in Hudson, but the next time I go back I will (it smelled great). You can spend a lovely few hours here, sampling their spirits, and then having a cocktail or two with some snacks. The service was excellent. Both people we interacted with were friendly, knowledgeable, and excited about their product.

Such friendly people! Did a tasting of 4 for $9. Loved the Thai basil liqueur. The smoked maple bourbon was a close second. They aren't doing tours or anything inside right now due to COVID but they have heated lamps and tents outside, which worked just fine.

The cocktails were great. I had the Manhattan. Also, I had the flight and each of the spirits was very good. The outside area is very beautiful as well.

went there for the first time 2 weeks ago and I forgot to leave any review....this place is a little gem ...staff was fabulous and friendly...we went for the pop up oysters ...learned they have a different food truck every weekend we will definitely be going back here ...there's a great variety of cocktails and a tasting of their own spirits ...large fire pit and plenty of seating ..they also have indoor accommodations...great time ! Support local !

Amazing drinks and friendly staff! We love the atmosphere at Cooper's Daughter. Everyone is always incredibly nice, and the cocktails never disappoint.

Be careful pulling into the entrance! The signage is right before the turn and only one vehicle fits simultaneously. We had to continue down the block and U turn, nbd. The fire pit was warm and toasty. There is a wooden pavilion with aton of picnic tables. A outdoor paved seating area with more tables and chairs. The visitors we chatted with were friendly and the vibe is very low key. We tried a flight of 10, a Manhattan , cherry chocolate coctail and an whipped iced cold brew for the kiddo. Everything was outstanding. Some tasting notes, the maple smoked bourbon had no smoky flavor, Lilac liquor zero lilac very unremarkable, pumpkin spice vodka too strong cinnamon. I bought a bottle of Ramp Vodka to mix up for bloody marys. The ramp vodka was my absolute favorite. Also they host a food truck SC bbq which smelled amazing but we had already stuffed ourselves in Hudson.

Great place to sit outside by a fire but you don't have to be in sweats! We came dressed up and still had a nice time! Good bourbon!! Good trucks are an added plus!

Caught their stand outside the Brooklyn Museum one random Saturday. The lady running things was ultra nice. They're mostly known for their whiskeys, but they also sold vodka and liqueurs. I left with a bottle of their smoked maple bourbon, which I can tell you is delicious. Only a hint of smoke, with a nice sweetness. You can taste the corn as well. Will get the black walnut next time, as that also comes highly recommended!

Not being much of a drinker, I can't comment on the quality of the booze, but as soon as covid hit these folks got to making sanitizer. I'm a captain on one of the local fire companies, and their delivery came in the day we were going to run out. Sure is nice to know that there's folks like that out there.

I absolutely love everything about this distillery. The Black Walnut Bourbon has been mine and my partner's favorite for a very long time. During the stay-at-home order we decided to purchase one of their bundles. Upon receiving our order we noticed one of the bottles was incorrect. We called them up and let them know of the error and they immediately fixed our issue, without hesitation. Shout out to Rory for great customer service and thank you to the whole team for creating amazing products we can stand behind. Next up is finally visiting the distillery!

Went for the first time the other day and it was fantastic. The staff was very nice, the cocktails were phenomenal, and the resident distillery cat Hops decided he wanted to be best friends. One thing to keep in mind is that depending on which parking spot you get, it could be a bit tight getting out.

What a supremely pleasant surprise. We randomly happened upon this place on our way home to the Berkshires from Hudson and it was such a treat. We were greeted by the sweetest pup. We enjoyed some amazing spirits and snacks. I can't wait to come back. What a diamond in the rough.

They had me at hello. My wife and I had sampled their Cacao Vodka and Maple Bourbon at the Basilica Hudson flea market. Exactly what you're looking for in a local small batch spirit. Smooth, distinct, and oh so good. When I learned they were restoring a nearby barn to house their distillery and were opening a tasting room, I knew I had to check it out. Stopped in on New Year's Eve and the place is magic. So much heart and soul. The ambiance, the cocktails, the friendly bartenders. Looking forward to going back.

Really cool place in a town without much going on before the summer season kicks off. Staff was super welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. My friends and I ordered some cocktails and then tasted most of the whiskey and vodkas they offer. There's a wonderful cat that hangs in the bar as well, which I truly believe should be a staple in most public places. The tour is awesome and very informative. You get to taste everything and I really learned a lot about the distilling process. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun day activity, whether it's a couple or a large group. I don't even care for bourbon or whiskey much but I still had a great time.

A must go to!!! I can't say enough about this place. The staff greeted us immediately and sent us up for a tour, which we caught the tail end of. Even though we only saw part of it, the tour guide was awesome. Funny and informative. I actually learned so much about bourbon, who knew? After that we went down to the bar area for some drinks. Service is above and beyond. The bartenders (who are also the owners) are extremely passionate and friendly. Free tastings!! Drinks are great. We tried a few things. I tried the basal drink and the nirvana. My boyfriend had their version of a Manhattan. Drinks r strong! The bar IJsselmeer is mixed with locals and also tons of people just still in in to check out the place. Definitely didn't feel out of place. To top off the experience they have a cat and a dog that are super friendly and looking for some love. Overall, great experience. Will be back!

Came across this craft distillery on Christmas Eve. It was a short drive from our stay and we didn't have many options on a holiday. Well it worked out perfectly for us on this cold winter night as we made ourselves at home and tried about half of the items on their cocktail list (Indian summer, the gentle gladiator, bc basil, and sugar shack old fashioned). All were very memorable, in terms of taste and presentation, and we also loved the fact that there were local beers on tap. The service was great and the space was cozy. I would love to come back on a date or with a group of friends if I'm ever in the area again!

This was our stop before dinner and I was so happy we did. The atmosphere was very inviting and quaint. The staff was very knowledge and answered all our questions. I did enjoy the free tastings. It allowed me to gage what I wanted to drink. I was addicted to those snacks on the table. What really made my night was the cute dog named Flo. She was so friendly and such a lovely surprise!

I found these delicious spirits at Bethel woods festival in the fall of 2020. I loved the bourbons. I ordered some bourbon and vodka, unfortunately a bottle was broken. The customer service was simply inspiring!!!! I sent an email the day I received the package describing the problem. I received a call the same day. I was asked to send some pictures, they mailed me a new bottle immediately along with a gift for my problem. What a great company! Easy to make the customer happy and keep that customer. Believe me this week a company lost me over a $5 problem. Also the bourbon and vodka are delicious!!

This is an extraordinary place with wonderful people. We were tooling around upstate and came across the distillery as we looked for things to do. WOW. It is a beautiful property and they serve the most amazing cocktails made with spirits they make on site. I had a drink with rhubarb honey vodka and egg white that was out of this world. So much so, that I had 2! My husband doesn't drink and they whipped up the most exquisite "mocktail" for him. They also have a small menu of delicious light fare made with local provisions. Olde York is a family owned place and they also have an Airbnb they call the Distillery Suite. We did not stay there but the proprietors were kind enough to give us a look. It is gorgeous! They have a lot of events there in tandem with other organizations (flea markets, etc.) so it's worth looking at the calendar on their site. Loved it and hope to go back this summer!

We were very pleased with the cocktails and amazing service. They have a vodka that is infused with ramps, just amazing. The bartender (the owners daughter I believe) was friendly and inviting, she made it a nice experience. Also, I must say she can make a mean cocktail. The quality and freshness of the drinks are top-notch.

Very cool place! Free tastings are key. Bought 3 bottles of Finocchietto Bronzato Amaro, was my favorite. Hands down the most unusual and tasty liquor. Peony and Rose were a close second.

I went with a small group to tour the place. Being immediately greeted by a sweet pup was a good sign. The bar area was clean and neat. We were a little early to the tour which started at 3 o'clock, so we each got different drinks (all very original and tasty). We didn't feel rushed to finish them as we could take them with us on the tour. One of the owners led the tour. He was very knowledgeable and was willing to answer all of our questions. The tour lasted about an hour, then we were encouraged to stay to taste the liquors that they make. We probably sampled close to each one and we never felt like a nuisance asking. The owners were very eager to pour samples. I bought two bottles of vodka - Buddha's Hand Citron and Cacao Maple. In addition to drinking, we got the cheese plate which I believe came from local farms. It was some of the best cheese I've ever had. We left fully satisfied with our experience and I cannot wait for the opportunity to return. Be advised there are two cats that roam around (both very friendly!) so if that's going to set off allergies, take a Zyrtec, because you're going to want to stay a while.

Olde York Farm distillery is a gem of the quaint Hudson, NY area! It is a truly unique place with spirits that are nothing less than awesome. You can tell the owners put their heart and soul into this business every day. The bars drink menu is full of creative cocktails and they also have several beers on tap. AND not only is the distillery and bar awesome, guests can book a stay at the air b n b that is on site. Wonderful place overall, will definitely visit again.

This is the best distillery I have ever been to! The tour was very informative. Great selection of drinks. The best part of this place...they have this beautiful fluffy dog named Flo that you can pet!

My girlfriends and I enjoyed a recent afternoon there. The old barn atmosphere is so quaint and the setting is picturesque.The drinks are the best , had one with Apple Cider,cinnamon and vodka. Got the wood fired pizza outside too . Delish !

This place was fantastic. The whiskeys, bourbons, vodkas and liquors were all excellent. I never would have thought I would have liked mulled peach bourbon so much that I had to buy a bottle to take home with me. The tour was super informative and the host of the tour had great stories to share. They were also very generous with free tastings throughout the entire 2 hours we were there. Overall I would definitely recommend a visit. Whether you have 30 minutes or two hours to spend there it will be well worth the time. (P.S. they have an awesome distillery cat)

You know that feeling when you've been somewhere so good that you almost don't want to tell anyone? Olde York is a beautifully designed, tucked away gem that should be on your to-do list when visiting the area. Great assortment of spirits and seasonal cocktails, very informative and pleasant service - all in a very well thought out rustic interior. Looking forward to going back often.

Olde York Farm Distillery & Cooperage is one of the best Distilleries around. The warm, welcoming atmosphere will encourage you to return time after time to this beautiful, rustic and perfectly located distillery. In addition to the exquisite scenery, the drinks are one of a kind and absolutely yummy!! The owners take the time to create a drink that is perfect for you and is specialized for any season. And it gets better! If you're looking to get away, or just need a place to stay: you can book a room at the Airbnb!! It is the most comfortable and relaxing get away for any occasion. I enjoyed every single one of my visits and I especially loved getting to know and adore the friendly and cute ducks, dog, cat and amazing owners of this thriving and successful Distillery and can't wait for my next visit!

Amazing place! Beautiful location, with a great and friendly staff. All the drinks are so expertly crafted, and each one was just as amazing as the one before it. They truly care about their customers and making sure they have a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend, and will definitely be back.

It has been an endless winter in the Hudson Valley. This establishment seems to be able to slog it out. It has the charm, the draft, the woody smells of an old barn although I think this could easily have been a carriage house. I am not a brown liquor drinker but I have tried their cocktails and enjoyed them. Their vodka is noteworthy. Rory is not only the mixologist but also the cooper. Sophie is just as knowledgeable. In a town that has nothing to offer except peace and quiet this is a welcome diversion.
