Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant

I am a regular at Coopers Hawk the food and wine is absolutely delicious. My review is for hosting events at the restaurant. I hosted a special event with family recently and it was great. The easy of booking my event , from the event coordinator Grace taking care of all the details. When I arrived the room was set up beautifully. You would have thought I hired an expensive planner it looked so nice. Service was great as well. Not only do I highly recommend the restaurant in general but host an event there as well.

Came here for brunch and it was overall a great experience. The wine tasting section as you walk in looks like a wine connoisseur’s paradise! You can dabble in all types of wine before being seated. We were famished so we scooted on by and went straight to the restaurant to get our grub on haha. We kept it simple and got a few rounds of the Classic Mimosas and put an order in for the Caprese Flatbread. It was good but wish the mozzarella (or whatever cheese they use) was a bit more prominent. Maybe a few dollops of fresh cheese after the flatbread was baked would have made a better contrast of the flavors but who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️ We were definitely in the mood for breakfast/brunch food and also ordered Two Eggs Anyway which we got scrabbled with sausage patties and came with potatoes. It was great! Delish! Solid dish! Looks basic but it was on point. I was feeling adventurous and ordered the Breakfast Gnocchi Carbonara and unfortunately I was super disappointed. The dish came out and didn’t make any sense. It was watery, nothing looked right, and it didn’t taste good at all. Absolutely terrible. But!!! Our amazing waiter came over and took care of us. The Two Eggs Anyway dish was soooooo good we just ordered another one of them bad boys and called it a day. There is a time and place to be adventurous perhaps not here lol. Just stick to the safe dishes and you will be good. I have been to the Coopers Hawk in Rockville and it was Great. This spot is overall great. They could use a few extra and transparent windows in the main dining area so it doesn’t feel so enclosed but otherwise it’s fine. I would come back.

This is a great date night spot, especially if you have a membership. I started off with a wine tasting and quickly got a little tipsy off of the 7th cup, lol. My favorite was their Winter Red, which is a seasonal wine. After, we sat down to grab a bite. They give complementary pretzel bread and butter. I tried the BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad off of the Life Balance menu. This chicken was cold. I would’ve preferred a grilled chicken with this salad because it gave me lightly cooked/seasoned. I would get the salad again but I would request to have the chicken charred.

My wife and I visited this restaurant, last Friday, for our birthdays. My wife’s birthday was Friday the 26th and mine Monday the 29th. It was my first visit and my wife’s 2nd. She raved about the place so much that I had to try it. It was a very charming place, and we were seated very quickly. We started with the crab, shrimp & lobster bisque, which was great. For our entrée’s we ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Risotto, the Salmon, and the sweet chili calamari. This was first time we ever had tempura fried Calamari. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The service was great, and the Sangria was the best we ever had. We were so full that we didn’t order dessert, but next time, and there will be a next time, we definitely will.

Love this place. I have visited several around the dmv and even those outside and it’s consistent. Best bartenders ever - Chuck, Leah and Lilly! Love them. The food is always solid, they have some nice wines and I love the rotation each month. A membership is the way to go. Well done and I will continue to frequent.

The service was ok, but the short rib was amazing. I just wished it came out hotter. The dark chocolate martini was lovely. I do not recommend ordering a pear drop drink, it was very gross. I can’t wait to go back.

I was there on a Fri evening with reservation. Great place and food was excellent. Our table host Williams was such a great host. He gave a few samples of wine to taste and we ordered both their lux cab sav and merlot. Both are great wines. Food was excellent with many vegetarian choices. Our table ordered the flat bread, gnocchi pasta, Brussels sprouts, potato and cheese side, salad, and bruschetta. Very flavorful food. Great ambiance. Williams was very helpful and a charming person. He always checked on us with a smile. He alone is enough to make a revisit, of course, the wine and food is excellent.

My first wine tasting at Cooper's Hawk Winery was delightful! The ambiance is an upscale contemporary relaxing environment. Very welcoming and inviting! After sipping different wines, my choice of savor is pure sweetness. I truly enjoyed my time here! Oh and yes, I left with 2 bottles!

I've never had a great experience here. Ashburn on the other hand, is fantastic. I went to the reston one a few weeks ago. The waitress was terrible (she rung us up on the wrong check!). I left my sweater there because we were in such a hurry to leave. We asked for more bread/drinks, never got it. Awful. I contacted Coopers hawk to complain. "Katie Jensen" responded to me and suggested that if we gave them another chance, they would give us 1 entree free and 1 glass of wine. Funny thing is we spent more than this the evening we went, and we're wine club members so we dont need just a glass of wine. So cheap! I let them know that. Never heard back. I've sent them a few emails, and no response. Is the reason for their email to account that they responded? Worst customer service. Avoid this location.

Ambiance: this is a chain restaurant which I do enjoy. There is a bar for wine tasting as you come in. They have merchandise that are super cute. You can dine at the back bar or in their main dining room. I've seen some private rooms as well for parties. Service: I usually go for wine tastings and pick up a few bottles since I'm a member. The bartenders are great. Trevor helped us and he was very attentive and sweet. Food: I didn't eat this time around but I've had great meals here before.

This place is close to my work place and i have never come here before. We went for happy hour and the drinks were okay. The food however was amazing. We loved the shrimps. It was so crispy and such a large portion. The burgers were also amazing and so are the sliders. It was not bad money wise either considering $8 a drink. They also have a wine member where you get free wine every month. It gives you a chance to try the different type of wines. It has differnet level but for $24.99 for a large (double the size) this month.

Went here for a date night with another couple, the food was amazing. We got the egg rolls and the meatballs for appetizers and I got the butternut squash gnocchi for my entree, which was delicious. The portions are huge here and the ambiance is romantic. Our service was a little slow, but it was busy and our server was always friendly when he came around. I did like that even thought it was busy, that we didn't feel like the were trying to push us out to make room for another table. The friends that went with us are part of their wine club, which they love. I would go back again!

Im a little bias because I love CH! But what keeps me coming back is the staff! Hats off to Reston! Today, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Gabby and what a lovely lady! The service. Recommendations. Vibe. 10 outta 10!! She has such a vibrant spirit and was very helpful to the whole bar. She recommended the Chardonnay and I am not a Chardonnay fan at all yet, it didn't miss! I had my same ole Italian sausage flat bread so nothing new to report there other than be back soon!

We came here as a party of 8 on a Saturday during the holiday season. My daughter has celiac so when I found out that they have a separate gluten free menu (that's quite extensive!) I was very excited. I called ahead of time to find out their celiac protocols and was pleasantly surprised to learn they gave a separate area of the kitchen for gluten free foods and a separate fryer as well! They even brought out a delicious soft gluten free bread at the start of the meal! My daughter does not currently have any symptoms so if she were glutened we probably wouldn't know but it seems they are aware and knowledgeable on celiac safety. She absolutely loved her bread and lettuce wraps and steak and multiple desserts (the crème brûlée and s'mores pot)! For those of us without celiac we started with the pretzel bread and calamari (both great)! I had the surf and turf with filet and lobster. The lobster was a tad overcooked and the filet just a bit salty but overall still good. My dad ordered a blackened salmon which looked great! For dessert we had the crème brûlée, s'mores pot and chocolate cake -- all good! So happy to have found a place that has so much awareness on celiac, will definitely be back.

This place is amazing! I went here with a group of girls for a wine tasting and dinner. The tasting pours were huge! The overall wine selection was pretty good. There wasn't a wine that really stood out from the tasting list. The food was by far amazing. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. The service was spectacular. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. You can even have a cool decanter placed at your table for the wine. The ambiance was perfect. It's very homey feeling and spacious. In the front of the restaurant and bar, there's candles, home Knick knacks, and truffles you can buy. There's also free parking for 3 hours! I highly recommend this place!

Normally 5 stars across the board, but my experience yesterday knocked this location down a star. I've been a club member since 2017, have been to multiple locations and this one is my favorite. The food is always amazing, with seasonal rotations added for a great variety. The venue is great, from the tasting bar to the bar area, or dining in area! A few things to tighten up. First, consider adding more staff to the tasting bar! Yesterday, you had two with one being new. The new guy spent too much time chatting up the girls next to me leaving the other server to tend everyone else! No customer should wait to get the next pour! Second, tell your hostess staff to put just a little more effort to accommodate customers needing reservations changes. I was told we'd have to wait for the new time, yet went on Open Table and made the reservation for the exact new time I wanted. What was that? Our dining server was amazing!! He brought my rating up from a 3 to a 4 star!!

Great time at this location. Was my first time and it won't be my last! Andrew provided excellent service from the beginning to the end. We didn't have a reservation but it was no issue getting seated right away, even on a busy Friday evening. We sat in the bar area. We didn't participate in the monthly tasting. We were hungry and were ready to get down to business! We were gonna share a bottle and was torn between the pilot noir and the lux cabernet. Andrew provided a tasting of each and we ended up going for the cab. Didn't end up finishing the bottle but he worked it up and allowed us to take it in a sealed plastic bag. I've been a member for years and never knew that was option. Woot!! I enjoyed my prime churrasco grilled steak done medium with fries and veggies. It was filling. I mislocated my CH card for awhile now and Andrew kindly got me a replacement. Thank you!

I love their wine subscription where I can try so many wines each year! I collected most of my bottles all at once, and did a wine tasting with friends. It was so fun and so worth it! My top favorite bottles were: Vin Veloute, a dark red! So so good! If you like reds, this one is for you! Romance red was a sweeter red! Spritzy sangria, mango dragonfruit: very sweet, I loved the pink color in itself, I could only taste the dragonfruit. It didn't taste much like sangria but extra points for being pink! I didn't enjoy the passion fruit wine, it tasted sweet but had a sour kick for the aftertaste. It's harder to drink, if you know the fruit, you'd understand. It does pair well with a cheese and olive oil, to avoid the tart aftertaste.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience here over the weekend. This restaurant is located in Reston town center. There is lots of parking available and even though we didnt have a reservation we were seated very quickly. We had an amazing server and our food and wine was fabulous ! The cabernet sauvignon is always a great option, if you love red wine! The vibe in here is cool and fun. Great option if you're in the neighborhood!

Finally came for brunch to try the short rib grilled cheese that came back. It is still soo good but I think i would prefer to eat it at night time because I was out like a light when i got home. Still the best white sangria in reston

We decided to try out the Reston location of Cooper's Hawk and just like Annapolis, Ashburn, and Rockville locations it didn't disappoint. We opted to metro and you can see the Coopers Hawk from the metro as you exit, which is great that it's metro accessible from DC. We were able to do a tasting with no wait, and also were able to have lunch after. The service, and the food were amazing just like all the other locations. You really can't go wrong speaking time at this location and the added perk of the metro is a great plus. Highly recommend this location!

I love their meatball appetizer so much. I usually order the prime rib French dip but this time I ordered the butternut squash gnocchi which I did not care for. Too much tarragon ruined it for me. So I barely ate any of my entree. Our server asked if I wanted it to go but I said no thanks coz I didn't like it. He comes back and says he took it off the bill (without me even asking). Then the manager came and asked if I wanted to order something else but I opted not to. Now that's excellent customer service and it made up for me not liking my dish. This place is a class act and I'm definitely going back.

I have yet to have a bad experience at Cooper's Hawk. While the customer base here is ... odd, to say the least, the food was good and service was, too. We dined with two adults and a kid. Elijah was our server. Be was patient and helpful. I got the roasted chicken risotto, crab, lobster and shrimp bisque, wedge salad, Shanghai braised short ribs, a kids chicken Parmesan and a white sangria pitcher. Favorites: sangria, chicken Parmesan, wedge salad (omgggg), and the bisque Good, but...: risotto wasn't what I expected. It was good but I didn't want it as a meal. The short ribs were very good but very fatty. Everything was good, though and the next time I'm around, I'll be back!

Food and service was great. Did the wine tasting first and went with the Lux menu. It did not disappoint. For my meal I had the sausage flatbread as an entree and the red wine short ribs with wasabee mashed potatoes. Those were delicious. Ambiance was great. The server was good. I highly recommend here. Would come again.

Took my dad here to celebrate Father's Day and had the best time. Cooper's Hawk is nice because you can show up casual or dress up to make the occasion a little fancier and celebratory. Service was prompt and great- very attentive. The server made my dad feel super special and even wished him a happy Father's Day (and brought out truffles at the end). Food was stellar. We started with the Asian tuna sashimi and crispy tuna rice. We liked both but preferred the sashimi (cleaner). The crispy tuna was good, but because of the spicy mayo it made it a little rich. Dad got the filet medium; he's obsessive about salt intake and thinks everything is too salty. The server relayed this to the kitchen and they did a great job with the food. It was to my emperor dad's liking. My mom and I split the BBQ chicken ranch salad and Dana's chicken. They split both dishes onto separate smaller plates, so my mom and I didn't have to pass things back and forth. The salad is exactly what you'd expect and tasty. The chicken I've had before- pan fried to perfection. We asked for Betty's potatoes but received the mashed instead. We were hungry so we just ate it. Great experience will come back again!

This was my first time visiting a Cooper's Hawk winery and restaurant, I was not aware that it was a chain and not an actual winery until I arrived there. I dined with three of my friends. The service was really good, she was friendly, attentive, and made good suggestions as far as the wines go. Three of us decided to try their wine flights, one chose the sparkling flight and myself and one other created custom flights. The wines were pretty good, I didn't dislike any of the ones that I ordered. We all ordered different entrées, I did not try the others, but none of them really cared for their meals. I ordered one of our waitresses recommendations, the Parmesan crusted mahi mahi, and I liked it. The fish wasn't overcooked, and it was a decent size, the sauce was a little thicker than I think it should have been, the potatoes and broccolini were just basic. I also ordered a Keylime pie to go, it was just OK, I wouldn't order that again.

I absolutely love Cooper's Hawk! This was my first time visiting the VA Location. The food was great and our waitress was wonderful!

We recently had a Christmas dinner with friends at Cooper's Hawk, and while the evening started a little slow--our table sat for a bit without a greeting or even water--things quickly turned around when our server, Essense, arrived. She was fantastic: attentive, genuinely friendly, and made the night so much fun. Essense went above and beyond to accommodate special requests and gave spot-on recommendations that really elevated our experience. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, with the short rib risotto being the clear favorite at our table. The truffles we tried were absolutely delicious, too. While the menu was great, the real stars of the night were the service and the wine. We enjoyed it so much that we joined the wine club and brought a few bottles home. Pro tip: do a wine tasting before your meal--it gets a little crowded at the bar later on. That said, the generous pours and excellent service made it well worth it. Cooper's Hawk creates an atmosphere that makes you feel like a VIP, thanks to their personalized, top-notch care. The food was great, but the incredible service and wine made the evening truly unforgettable. I'll definitely be back--just make sure to kick things off with a wine tasting!

Service-1/5 Dinner-3/5 Ambiance-4/5 Let me start off by saying they forgot about our table and we had to go to the front. Things happen and I get it. The manager came by and said he would comp us for wine but we did not drink so he would comp us for an appetizer and dessert. We took advantage of a small Brussels sprouts app. The server hardly ever came. We did not get pretzel bread until late, our meals took a while then we got the check and we were charged for the free app. We paid for it and then when asking for the card to be split, one card got charged then corrected. Things were tiny mistakes that added up. I am not from the area but the person I was with was and it was not the best experience. I hope my card that was fully charged was reimbursed since I am not from here and would have to make my way out to return...

This is the second Cooper's Hawk at which I've eaten. I appreciate the consistency I've so far experienced regarding the quality of food, drink, atmosphere, and service. Many thanks to our server, who took the time to explain how things work here for those who have never been to one of their restaurants. I also consider it a big plus when all the dinners for a large party (we were 10) come out at the same time. I've enjoyed their wines in the past, this time I tried an interesting cocktail, their PB&J Old Fashioned. It's not actually a single drink, it's essentially a Screwball Whiskey Old Fashioned accompanied by a sweet, fruity liqueur with which you alternate sips. There were positive comments from everyone about our meals, and there were no missteps with our server splitting the bill into multiple smaller combinations. This chain continues to be a favorite with me.

Food was excellent! I enjoyed the shrimp and lobster bisque especially. I also had the shrimp scampi. Very tasty. I will have that again! The wines are all good. I really enjoyed the Almond wine. Service was impeccable! The main reason I will make this a staple to dine and wine! Ambiance is perfect!

The food was nothing special, I could've made all the dishes on the menu at home. What bothered me the most was that this place had decent reviews and my parents were excited to try nice American food. The gnocchi carbonara was so disappointing, I don't know if it's because I grew up making my own pasta and sauces from a nun from Italy or if it's just this bad. The sauce was so watery, gnocchi shouldn't be swimming in a watery sauce. The whole point and consistency of carbonara stems from egg whites and subtle medley of cheeses, which then provides that slightly thick and rich creamy based sauce. I don't recall what that pasta dish is, but it was literally pasta and either olive oil or butter. It was the most sad looking pasta dish I've ever seen, so limp. This was almost like finger food, the eggrolls were decent but gosh, is American just all fried and mediocre fusions? I think Coopers should remain solely focusing on alcohols and let the other retail American chain joints handle the food. The crab, shrimp, lobster bisque was decent that's all that saved this review.

We love the food here and always get dinner after our wine tastings. This time around we got the flatbread and salmon. They were very good!!!

****4 1/2 stars**** ---------------------------------- When Cooper's Hawk first opened, the reviews weren't the best. Thus, we wanted to wait a while before trying it. Actually, we waited quite a while mostly because there were other places we wanted to try first. We got there last weekend, finally. My husband made a reservation on a Saturday night for 4:45 p.m. We were able to easily find a spot to park. However, the sidewalk leading to the place wasn't shoveled out very well. In fact, getting from the lot and over the curb at the sidewalk was treacherous. Needless to say, we took it slowly due to the ice and snow. Once inside, it was confusing figuring out where the host stand was. On entering, to the right is a bar with no seats. Also, there are tables with wine centric items for sale---not to mention several varieties of wine. Finally, we saw a small sign that pointed to "the counter", which was the host stand. We told the young woman at the stand about our reservation and she got us seated. Going to a restaurant before 5 p.m. can involve waiting for the staff to get to you as at that hour of the day, they aren't fully staffed yet. We waited a while before a runner brought us some water. She said our server would be with us soon. It took a while but it never got to the point where we felt we had to find the manager. Our server, Collier, arrived and apologized for the wait. He asked if we had been here before and we said "no". We were told that we could sample some of their wine and it was on the house. Honestly, we didn't care one way or the other. Still, he brought us each a small glass of one of their red wines (we forget which one it was). I found it to be too dry for my taste. We knew what we wanted to order and gave him our entire order at once. For our appetizer, we chose "Classic tomato bruschetta". We really enjoyed this and we both thought it was one of the best bruschettas we ever had. It consisted of: "Burrata, basil, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic glaze". The burrata was whipped and cherry tomatoes were used as well as fresh basil and put on a piece of toast. The balsamic glazed was drizzled over it. All the flavors worked very well together and it was easy to pick up and eat. To drink, my husband had the House Chardonnay. Collier explained that it was a middle of the road wine. It was mixed with a Riesling wine. My husband did enjoy it. I had an espresso martini which turned out to be the best one I ever had. It had in it "Absolut vanilla espresso, Bailey's Irish cream, Frangelico liqeur" and was topped with whipped cream. I found it to be quite tasty and not bitter at all. For my main course, I chose "pistachio-crusted grouper". While the grouper was tender, the crust wasn't "crusty" at all. This dish would have been so much better if it had been browned. Instead the topping was mushy. It came with "mustard sauce, Mary's potatoes, asparagus". The potatoes were redskin potatoes that were made in house as one could tell by the texture. I like seeing some lumpiness in house made mashed potatoes. The mustard sauce was mild and the asparagus was properly prepared. My husband had "soy ginger glazed salmon" which consists of: "Wasabi buttered mashed, Asian slaw". He said the salmon was properly prepared and the soy ginger glaze was delicious. The potatoes were basically "Mary's potatoes" with some wasabi added to them. He said that the wasabi wasn't well distributed. Some bites had none in them while other bites were overloaded with wasabi. He did like the Asian slaw. At the end of the meal, we felt full. Collier told us that since it took him a while to get to us and take our order, dessert was on him! Well...that was an offer we couldn't refuse. I chose the "salted caramel brulee" and my husband chose "key lime pie". I wished that my brulee was properly salted as it would have really elevated this dessert. I only got a hit of salt and only in two or three bites. My husband liked his key lime pie but thought the crust was too thick. But...hey...dessert was free and we appreciated that! As for ambiance---it does get noisy. We did appreciate that the tables weren't tightly packed in. We had a booth that seated 2 and had ample room. Of course, this was a splurge of a meal but overall, it was well worth it. We both agree that we'll be back!

Service was SUPER slow. Waited 30 minutes to even get a glass of wine. Food mediocre especially for price. Wine was ok.

I simply love this place . Good ambiance and friendly staff . Came here with a group of girl friends . Chris was our server. Very friendly suggested good wine .We ordered red wine then came various other wine samplers .Omg all the wines were very smooth . Not much tannin . Then we ordered appetizers Lettuce wrap , Shrimp and Brussels sprouts . Shrimp was so good we dipped our bread and finished it off . So was our Brussels sprout. Lettuce wrap had the crunch in every bite. . Our main entree was Pistachio crusted fish and Salmon and shrimp Risotto. Our fish was perfect crunchy on top and moist inside . Very well seasoned . Also Risotto was full of flavor & lot of shrimp . Very soft Risotto yet not mushy. We shared salted caramel dessert. Yum!! Will be going back again. Visited this place again. Delicious food great ambiance and plus very good service .

Here's the deal: this has a "Seaons52" vibe with a very cool wine bar in front connecting to the restaurant. Host & server team were friendly and helpful considering I popped in without a reservation. Good causal modern date night place! Entree around $20-35. Must have the Brussels sprouts appetizer! Flatbreads also delicious

This review focuses on the horrible service and totally unpleasant attitude of Gil who completely ruined the good night we were having. As members we have come in for tastings often in the past few months but this one has motivated me to cancel my wine club membership. On other occasions we had the pleasure of learning about Cooper's Hawk wines from Asia and Ryan whose service, attitude, and knowledge were Chef's Kiss. I wish we had the opportunity to taste with them last night. Gil started our tasting but then we had to go to dinner and told him we would be back to finish our tasting after dinner. When we returned his approach was rushed and uninformed. To say he's been working there for 4 years it did not show in his unprofessional manner. The night ended with him abruptly ending our tasting in a super rude fashion. I mentioned to him when we started that we would be picking up our wine club bottles when we finished. About 30 minutes into our tasting he turned to me and simply said "so will that be cash or credit" no smile, no asking if we were ready to collect our bottles. He didn't even allow us to finish the last wine he poured before shooing us away. When I asked him cash or credit for what, he rudely motioned to the wine tasting menus as if to say you're done, and you're done now. Now move on. I hope to never see him again and if he is there, I advise you all to see if there are other options like Asia or Ryan. This was really infuriating because we hate the food here. It's always awful...steaks served undercooked and food arriving cold. The wine club and the tastings were our last love here. Now we have no reason to go back. The wine is mediocre at best so we were just members for the experience. Now, thanks to Gil's rude, unprofessional, and arrogant attitude, the experience is gone! The ambiance is also weird. It's like putting a wine bar in an Applebees! So expecting greatness was maybe wrong on my part!

I really enjoyed all the food here and was honestly quite impressed. We ordered a variety of appetizers and loved all of them. You can't go wrong with a burger or steak either. I did not try any wine but hope to the next time. Overall the ambiance was nice, not too loud. There's a large private room you can reserve as well. Good for large parties!

Waiting time to get the food and drinks was unacceptable they took for ever, almost an hour to get our food and that's because we asked the waitress if our food was almost ready. The ambiance was okay just annoyed of the waiting time. I will think it twice to go back .

I was there for a bridal shower a few weeks ago. The decor was beautiful and the staff, Grace and Ronan, were fabulous. Pleasant, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had what they needed. They helped determine a wonderful option for me due to dietary issues. I highly recommend. Look for Grace and Ronan!

I like this place. This is the third CH location I've visited. Located in Reston, VA. We made a reservation for 2. We checked in and had to wait a few mins to be sat. Not bad. The wine tasting area was full and the entrance had some nice merchandise to browse through. Once seated with our menus, we were offered drinks and tastes. The one I wanted to taste wasn't available, so I punted and ordered a nice Pinot Grigio as I knew I'd be tearing up some seafood. I ordered the ahi tuna in the light menu. It's very well prepared and is served on a bed of rice and coleslaw. Yum. Wife ordered the special pumpkin ravioli. She loved it. No dessert this round. Very nice and great service. Highly recommended!

I will always love Cooper's Hawk tasting room for their knowledgeable and hard working attendants. But sad to say, we wont be dining in again for a while. My Hubble stopped coming more than a year ago as the kitchen could've ever get get his order right. He always ordered the Leonard Burger, no sauce and no mayo. Now, the menu doesn't even mention mayo, but in spite of us warning the server every time, each time, it was brought with mayo. On one occasion, we sent it back three times due to mayo, an the manager shamed us, Like we were being difficult, expecting a burger with no mayo. This awful manager is gone now, but I recently came in for a delightful tasting and ordered carry out. I asked for a Black and Blue Salad no onions and no Italian dressing. Chelsea, the wonderful attendant, that she is, put the order in and brought me the bag. The receipt clearly indicated no onions and no Italians dressing so I didn't;t check it until I got home. Swimming in Italian dressing was a sea of diced red onions. The entire salad went immediately in the trash. I tried to call and left a voicemail of my displeasure with no response. I will;l still enjoy the tasting room, and the awesome staff there, but we are done with the dining room - too many hard fails.. So sorry for this review!!!

I wasn't as impressed with the food at Cooper's Hawk. All of our appetizers were excellent so I assumed our entrees would be just as good. We tried the drunken shrimp, classic tomato bruschetta, and over the border egg rolls. My favorite was the drunken shrimp just wish they gave you a couple more shrimp. For my entree I tried the prime churrasco grilled steak and it was good, but if it hadn't come with the chimmichruri aioli it would have been very plain. My asparagus were just plain asparagus with no seasoning. One big thing we noticed is that there is no consistency in steak sizes. My husband ordered the same thing as me and his steak was almost half the size of my steak. Lastly, we tried the chocolate cake and it was more like a mousse cake. Overall, the ambiance was nice and service was good, but I wouldn't come back for the food. I may return, but only to try their wines.

Picked-up my Mother's Day meal today which included one appetizer (bruschetta) , one entree (rigatoni) and three desserts (s'more, chocolate cake, banofee pie) and everything was absolutely delicious (including free pretzel bread). I laid it all out in front of me and went to town. It was a wonderful Mother's Day present to myself, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Had to save some for later to keep extending my enjoyment. This is only my second time eating from Cooper's Hawk and both times food was perfect A+++. Highly recommend

With a reservation we still waited for 10min to be seated. We waited a while before the server got to us (he had multiple tables). We both ordered red wine flights. Delicious selection. Apps we started with the arancini and caprese, both were very good. I wish I could say the same about our entree's. I ordered the shrimp and scallop risotto and my partner ordered Chicken Giardiniera. Waited 30 min before we got up and inquired about our meals, they were brought to the table by a general manager. The risotto had a nice crust of "I've been sitting in the window for a while" and the chicken no better. I returned the risotto and ordered a Caesar salad with salmon. Salmon had a very weird taste to it. Server came back to check the table, we explained the concerns of the salad and ordered mashed potatoes to have something of substance on my stomach. The general manager comped the entire bill, which was nice- but didn't resolve issues with service (to no fault of the server, he did his best!)

Food is great. Bartenders are first class. But they are consistently understaffed. Love the restaurant and their wine club perks!

great food, awesome service, and very nice ambience for my birthday dinner. gnocchi was delicious and large portion! flatbreads were also really great - we tried the caprese and italian sausage. desserts were very sweet. restaurant was also very kind about allergies - we had a tree nut & peanut allergy in our party.

Very disappointed. Our food came out cold, the steak was overcooked, and service at the wine tasting counter was terrible--we were ignored for 10 minutes while another customer the staff knew was helped first. As long-time wine club members, this experience has us seriously reconsidering our membership.

This now my "go to" place in the Reston. There are many great places in this area, and this is easily in my top 10. Fresh food, excellent presentation, preparation, and flavor. The decor is modern, and clean, with the feeling of an upscale vineyard in wine country. It's is a "wine bar" and restaurant, (and the wine is impressive ), but if you don't want wine, don't worry because the cocktails are also excellent. This was more of a special occasion than my last visit, and our server, Tom was cheerful, professional, witty, and he made the evening even more special. My only complaint is It seems they tend to "overbook", so even with a reservation, be prepared to wait longer than expected to get a table.

Just came from a birthday party here. I've always wanted to try this place, but never did. So glad I had the opportunity! My only complaint is that there isn't one closer to me. Ambiance - As soon as you walk in you get winery vibes. There's a tasting bar to the right and chocolate truffles to the left. The room for the party was spacious and separated. Food - Amazing! I could just had appetizers and been fine. I had the salmon with miso mashed potatoes. Yum! Since it was a group, we were served white and dark chocolate truffles, along with a small s'more and small key lime pie desserts. Service - We wanted for nothing. The servers kept the food coming and the drinks flowing! Great staff. Overall, since my husband couldn't attend the party I'll be bringing him back. Great spot!

Cooper's Hawk is always a win for me. The wine is amazing and the food exquisite. My favorite appetizers are the Brussels sprouts 10/10 and over the boarder egg rolls. I haven't had an entree that I don't like so try them all. And dessert I always go with the creme brûlée it's a classic. I use to be part of the wine club but I moved to Germany now that I'm back I may join again. The staff was professional and knowledgeable as always with exceptional customer service.

Enjoyed the wine and food, NOT IMPRESSED by their lack of concern over our environment with containers that can't be recycled.

One year later and still five stars--however what won us over tonight was the service by Kait! She was super attentive, knew the menu well, and was an incredible server. We had the Coopers Hawk Lux Sparkling to celebrate Valentine's Day, but I will tell you that the service and the wine was where the five stars stopped tonight. The Valentines surf and turf was fine, and unfortunately I expect more than fine at this restaurant. The lobster was over cooked. The steak was super tiny for 50 dollars. The ambiance was what you would expect for a Valentine's Day in reston, packed but moderate in noise. But we will be back. We will chalk this up to being a holiday issue and not the restaurants issue. Again, Kait was incredible and the service we were offered was the best we have had.

I love coopers hawk. it worth the 30 minutes drive to reston. the wine is good. the food is good. Its a vibe. the pretzel bread is like that. the short rib risotto is my favorite. The bartenders don't ignore you which i love.
