"We don't think sipping wine on a patio will ever go out of style. And Alpharetta is getting another spot to do exactly that. This winery chain has locations in thirteen states, so their wine must be (at the very least) drinkable. The full restaurant has a menu that covers all the bases from steak and seafood to pasta and chicken. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Juli Horsford

I've reviewed Cooper's Hawk before at the Va Beach location. This is the newest location opened in GA and it's top notch as expected. The short ribs are the gold standard there. I hoped they would be just as good as I remembered, and to my delight it was. If I could make a suggestion would be to cook the carrots a bit longer, they were just a bit undercooked. The shrimp and scallop risotto was delicious! All the components in that dish are excellent. All the vegetables, the rice, and especially the seasoning. Two easily fixable issues with this dish. #1 add more shrimp and more scallops. If they are not tiger shrimp and scallops with a diameter of at least 1.5in...you have to put more that 4 of each in the dish. #2 and this is an important one...... put more of it in the bowl! That is a very good dish, if I didn't have an appetizer in not sure that would've filled me up. Speaking of appetizers, almost forgot about them because of how good the entres were. The shrimp, crab, and lobster soup is very very well put together. Very tasty and lots of seafood in each spoonful. The bruschetta is loaded with color and flavor. The way you can tell when is done right is when you leave it for a while and the bread still has crunch. That means it's not too runny and the bread is toasted to perfection. To top all of this off, the variety wine is stellar. They have something for everyone.

Went for their soft opening in Alpharetta. I don’t drink alcohol but they had a great wine selection and a surprisingly good nonalcoholic wine. The food was good, had the churassco steak and my friend had this chicken dish that was good. Service was not bad, you can tell the server was being trained.

I’ve dined at several Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants in different states and was excited to see a new location in Georgia. My husband booked a reservation for Friday night, and when we arrived, we were seated quickly. The decor and ambiance were carefully curated. However, once we were seated, things started to go downhill. Our server greeted us, but since we were still reviewing the menu, she said she would come back. When she returned, we placed our entire order, requesting that our appetizers come out prior to entrees. We ordered hibiscus tea, peach lemonade, a chopped wedge salad, sweet chili calamari, filet mignon with Mary’s potatoes and asparagus, and the Seasonal Chef’s recommendation: miso-glazed Chilean sea bass. After placing our order, we had to ask for glasses of water, as none were brought to us. About 15 minutes later, we finally received our water. The drinks gradually arrived; my husband received his hibiscus tea, while I was still waiting for my peach lemonade. They provide complimentary pretzel bread, but we had to request it while waiting for our appetizers. My peach lemonade eventually arrived, but throughout the night, I didn’t receive a refill or was asked if I wanted another one. When the bread came, I reminded our server that we would like our appetizers to come out prior to our entrees. She told us they would be out shortly, as the manager needed to talk to us about food allergies. The manager came, reassured us that our appetizers would be out soon, and then rushed back to the kitchen. Shortly after, we received the sweet chili calamari, but they were cold and hard, suggesting they had been sitting for a while, although they did have decent flavor. Not long after, we received our chopped wedge salad and both of our entrees. Unfortunately, all the food came out at the same time, which was exactly what we had asked the server not to do. We mentioned to the manager that we had reminded her twice about bringing out the appetizers first. While she apologized, she attributed it to the error of an inexperienced server. The salad was lackluster, and while our entrees were decent, we struggled to enjoy them since we were still trying to finish our appetizers. Once we finished, we asked for our check. It took a while to receive our check, as our server mentioned she was “working onfixing it.” While we waited, another server came to our table with a dessert, saying “happy birthday.” We explained that it wasn’t our birthday and were surprised, as we weren’t aware that the dessert was meant for us. The server then went around the restaurant before returning and stating he was instructed to give it to us. Although we appreciated the gesture, the dessert had gone around the restaurant, so we weren’t particularly interested in eating it. Eventually, we received our check and were pleasantly surprised to see that they had deducted the cost of the salad. We appreciated this gesture, but we really wished our food had come out in a timely manner and was served hot. Overall, this visit fell short of our expectations. We hope that if we decide to visit again in the future, our experience will be much better.

My wife and I have been looking forward to trying this place. The grand opening was the beginning of this week so we expected some issues which we did encounter. When you first walk in there is no signs letting you know to go left to request a table, if you just walk in and go straight to the register, this is where you purchase the wine from. After figuring this out, we went to the correct counter where we asked for a table for two. This is where the issues started. They have numerous workers at the front helping customers but they only have one machine to show what tables are available. As the young lady took my name another couple walked in and met with another front desk worker and asked for a table for two. Well, she was apparently on the computer that showed what tables were available and was going to walk them to a table but the young lady who was helping me, told her to hold on a second because we were there first. Not a big issue to me but definitely something that should be worked out. After being shown a table our waitress came to our table and explained the history of the restaurant and asked what we wanted to drink. After placing our drink order she came out with the complimentary bread with our drinks and then left. She didn’t ask if we were ready to order or if we would like to place an appetizer. Well, we ended up waiting for 10 minutes before she came back to our table to ask what we would like to order. My wife placed her order first along with the appetizer we wanted which our waitress completely forgot to ask me what I would like to order. I looked at her and said, I would like to order some food. I’ve never had this happen before which all I could do was laugh. After placing our appetizer and food, we ended up waiting a little bit for the food. The appetizer and our food came out at the same time which to me defeats the purpose of an appetizer. I can count on one hand how many times, I have had to reject food. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done and when I cut into my burger it was really pink and not cooked in some areas. A manager came around and asked us how our food was which I told him, not so good. I showed him my burger and told him I asked for it to be cooked well done. The manager agreed that my burger was definitely no where near well done and told me he would get me another burger. He was awesome and came to our table twice to let us know my burger was almost done. He then brought out my burger which I thanked him and cut it in half… sadly once again the burger was pink inside which I wasn’t going to make a scene about it. Throughout this time, my drink “soda and my wife water” cup were empty which I had to ask our waitress for a refill. I didn’t eat my burger and just asked for a to-go-container. I will microwave the burger when I get home to fully cook it. I will say the burger looked amazing. I just wish I could have enjoyed it there instead of having to bring it home. The manager did comp my burger off the bill which was really nice of him to do. We came in knowing there will be some issues so overall this was expected to some degree. My wife and I both agree we will give this place another try but not for a few months. They should have all the issues worked out by then. Also, all the staff were EXTRA polite which made it very creepy at times. A soft smile and great customer service is all that is needed.

I am soooo excited to FINALLY have a Cooper's Hawk in GA. I love the wine tastings, you will get a nice buzz of those 8 glasses. The soy ginger Salmon is one of my favorite dishes. I usually don't eat coleslaw but the Asian slaw here is a must have... I absolutely love it. And you gotta start with the Southwest eggrolls because they are good too. I can't wait to see where the next location will be but for now I have no problem taking GA 400N to Alpharetta, it's right off the interstate.

First visit to Coopers Hawk and it shines as a new restaurant gem on North Point Parkway! Seating: There are 3 areas to choose from: a stand up wine tasting bar, a separate full bar area with high top tables and small booth seating, and the restaurant. There is an outside patio area being finished, which will add another space. Wines: The wines are proprietary which is a great way to explore the menu freely. The wine selection is vast and impressive for being under their own label. I settled into one of the many 4-pour tastings; hearty pours to really enjoy each one thoroughly. I chose the Lux pours which are their higher end offerings. $22 for four glasses was a terrific deal. Find one you love? It can be purchased in the merchant area. Food: The food was served fast, and generous portions. Widely varied menu helps with wine pairing perfectly. Fresh ingredients abound. Complimentary bread and butter. Get the house made truffles!!!! By far the perfect ending to a meal without over indulgence. And you can purchase them from the retail area as you leave to take home. Service: swift, friendly, and pleasant. Steveonia was a fantastic waitress and really helped us decide on what would work best with menu choices. The menu is extensive so having a waitress or waiter helping you is crucial. Thank you Steveonia! Welcome to Alpharetta Coppers Hawk! Glad you are here!

Yelp
My friend has been talking about Cooper's Hawk so she was excited to hear that they were bringing one to Georgia. What better way to celebrate her for her birthday?! I'm so glad that they are finally open and I was able to enjoy them with her. We started off in the wine tasting room while we waited for our reservation for dinner. They offer 8 tastings for $12 which is actually a really good deal. When I tell y'all we had us a good time trying different wines and they definitely got us a tad tipsy which was very enjoyable lol. I'm not a huge wine person, but if I do, it has to be sweet so I went for the sweet options while she opted for the non sweet. They have some great selections. I really enjoyed the Riesling and their Vin Chocolat Almond wines. The atmosphere is really nice with dim lighting to set the mood. We sat in the bar dining area and had a nice two person booth. I definitely want to give a shout out to our waiter James. He was really great and had impeccable service. He made sure to provide some great recommendations as well as told us about their barrel reserve in which we tried a sample of that. With me not being a huge wine person, I actually thoroughly enjoyed it even though it wasn't considered a sweet wine. It didn't taste too vinery or acidic for me so I thoroughly enjoyed it. For the food, I got the salmon and it came with scallop potatoes, and it was simply amazing. The potatoes were seasoned so well, and although it was a lighter choice option, I felt very satisfied and my salmon was cooked just right. My friend definitely enjoyed her shrimp scampi as well and you can't go wrong with the egg rolls. Y'all should definitely check them out and I definitely look forward to going back to try their brunch and some of their other options.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing experience overall! From the service to quality and price, this Coopers hawk exceeded my expectations in every category! I was a bit skeptical hearing it's a national franchise, but after experiencing them I'm so glad they expanded the way they have. Upon pulling up to parking, the mural outside immediately grabbed our attention. Once we entered, the ambience gave an air of a napa valley vineyard, with wine tasting bars galore. Fortunately the interior dining area was much more intimate with cozy, ambient lighting and comfortably spaced out seating to ensure you're able to enjoy conversation. Not being drinkers, we greatly appreciated the delicious mocktail options they offered, particularly the spa. We had the brussel sprouts and calamari to start. For entrees we had the filet mignon, short rib risotto, and rigatoni, all of which were cooked perfectly fork tender. After an amazing meal we couldn't pass up on the chance to try their creme brulee, and so glad we didn't, because it was absolutely delicious! Will definitely we coming again with friends!

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and I wanted to see their new location in Georgia. Did a tasting with Ashlee and she was wonderful. Very attentive to our group of 4 while also tending to other customers. The flow of the resturant was very nice. We purchased a couple wine stoppers and they were very nice. We had an app at the bar and again, great service. We didn't stay for dinner due to other plans but I'm glad we came to experience the same service as we would in our home town. Amazing work, Cooper's Hawk!

Yelp
Having been a fan of Cooper's Hawk when we lived in Miami, Florida, I was excited to see that one would open relatively close to our new home in Georgia. While I do appreciate having this establishment nearby, I was not thrilled with our first impression of this location for several reasons: #1: it took nearly 30 minutes to get the glass of wine and beer that hubby and I ordered. In fact, we got our appetizer well before our drinks arrived. This, especially in my husband's opinion, is a cardinal sin. If he does not get his wine before he takes a bite of food, he is not a happy camper. #2: they had NO flatbreads available. We asked for the Caprese flatbread as our appetizer and were informed shortly after that they were out of all flatbreads, so we had to choose a different appetizer and opted for the bruschetta. The bruschetta was good but it wasn't what we originally asked for, which was disappointing. Another disappointment was that they removed the buttermilk chicken sandwich from their menu, which was one of my favorites from Miami. Not sure why they would take such a great option off their menu, but I was definitely missing it. #3: the cost did NOT live up to the experience. I do not mind paying a premium price for a premium experience, but I absolutely HATE it when I pay a premium price for a mediocre and/or disappointing experience, which unfortunately is what happened at Cooper's Hawk. While the skirt steak that I ordered was tasty, it was too small to be worth the $39.99 price that accompanied it. We ordered the bruschetta to start (since they didn't have the flatbread we wanted), one Cooper's Hawk ale, two glasses of Cooper's Hawk red wine, the skirt steak, and the Sonoma chicken sandwich. For these 6 items, our bill came out to $109.87 BEFORE tip. We originally planned to join the wine club because we assumed this would become a regular haunt for us but I am glad we did not sign up for it before going since we no longer feel there is a good reason to join. We have had significantly better food and service at other establishments for considerably less cost, so we will likely NOT be returning to Cooper's Hawk anytime soon as we did not feel it was worth it. We were disappointed that Cooper's Hawk did not live up to our expectations, especially since they were a spot that we enjoyed in Miami. Maybe they will improve as they settle into this new area but for the time being, we will stick to our tried and true local faves instead.

Yelp
So excited Cooper's Hawk has made it down South--welcome to Alpharetta! I joined the wine club on the spot and can't wait to attend all the tastings! From the start, the experience was top-notch. Kole, our server, was absolutely amazing--attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. Tyler, the manager, even came by to personally welcome us to the wine club, which was such a nice touch! We kicked things off with a tasting of wine straight from the barrel--what a fun start! The drunken shrimp appetizer was packed with flavor, and for drinks, I had the Vin Veloute--sooooo smooth and my new favorite! For dinner, my daughter enjoyed her kids' salmon and fries with a Shirley Temple. My husband's Theodore burger with fries was cooked perfectly and hit the spot. I had the Wine O'Clock shaved prime sliders--tender, flavorful, and just the right size since I was saving room for dessert. And I'm so glad I did--the salted caramel crème brûlée was creamy, rich, and a perfect sweet ending. Between Kole's excellent service, Tyler's warm welcome, and the fantastic food and wine, Cooper's Hawk is already a new favorite for us. We'll definitely be back for the wine tastings and more memorable meals! Oh and the gorgeous ambiance so warm and inviting with the perfect music !

Yelp
Cooper's Hawk is a national chain that just opened up their first Georgia location. This is a new building in the parking lot of the Barnes and Nobles on North Point Parkway. I stopped in for a weekday lunch and was impressed with the experience. The place looks classy, and the wine bar is right in front. The bar area is separated from the main dining room by a wall. I had the lunch portion of the Dana's parmesan crusted chicken, and I thought it was terrific. It came with tasty tomatoes, mashed potatoes, and a big portion of green beans. You also get free pretzel bread to start out the meal. Lunch entrees average around $20. I didn't get to try the wine, but I've looked up the wines on review sites, and they tend to get good reviews (especially the Lux versions). I will come back with more people next time to try the wine and the large dessert menu.

Lenny F.

Yelp
Cooper's Hawk offers an extensive menu with a wide selection of wines, making it a great spot for both casual diners and wine enthusiasts. Their wine club provides various membership options, which could be worth considering for those who plan to visit frequently. The atmosphere is lively but can get quite loud, and the service felt a bit slow and distracted. Since the restaurant is newly opened, this may be due to staffing or training issues, so hopefully, it improves over time. As for the food, the Lobster & Shrimp Bisque was rich, flavorful, and packed with seafood, while the Caesar salad was fresh and well-balanced. The Gnocchi Carbonara had great flavor, but the gnocchi itself was dense and heavy, making it a bit much to digest. The Leonard Burger was delicious, featuring two thin patties cooked well, with great seasoning and balance. We paired it with mashed potatoes, which were creamy and well-seasoned. Portion sizes were reasonable, but because some dishes were quite rich--especially the gnocchi--it felt like a lot to get through. Price-wise, it was on the steeper side. With one bottle of wine and four entrées, our total came to $175. Given the quality and portion sizes, it wasn't unreasonable, but it's something to keep in mind. We'll definitely be back to explore more of their wine selection and finally save room for dessert next time!

Yelp
Went here for my birthday and had an amazing evening. Service: our server was top notch. He brought us a little sip of champagne toast with since it was my birthday- gave us great advice on what to order and was so attentive. Food: amazing. We had the tuna appetizer, I had the filet, my husband had surf and surf and turf wigj churrasconsteak and grouper and my daughter had the scallops special. We loved the whole meal. Ambiance: really cool space, great tasting room in the front, and lovely restaurant in the back. Bathrooms were clean, plenty of great parking and when the outdoor space is finished it will be perfect for a glass of wine and a nice meal on the patio.

Yelp
We had lunch with a group of six to celebrate birthdays. This was our first time here and it was absolutely wonderful. It took a while for entrées to arrive, but everything was perfect!! The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

Yelp
Wow! Top to bottom this place is next level. Truly the most special restaurant in Alpharetta. It's gorgeous, it's cozy, it's cool, shockingly impressive service right out of the gate, the best menu, loved the food and wine, and the little things they do like offer a complementary wine tasting, and glassware gift shop section. My personal new go-to for girls night, but also feels romantic, or could be a perfect spot for a business meal... so it checks all the boxes. Welcome to Alpharetta Coopers Hawk!

Yelp
So 1st of all we rarely ever try out a new restaurant as soon as they open but Cooper Hawk Winery and Restaurant is a must try. They opened up the end of February in Alpharetta GA and I must say the experience was a 10/10. The food, service and ambiance was amazing. Our Server Shai didn't disappoint..She was amazing and very knowledgeable. Every recommendation from appetizer, entrée to dessert was excellent, but I believe the best part for us was the pairing of the different wines to each food item along with just being able to sample any of there wines to appease your personal preference. Thanks again Shai for this wonderful experience and we will definitely be back really soon.

Yelp
Came for lunch , sat with Kole , he was very sweet and informative, guided me to the best items on the menu and absolutely enjoyed the food, the Ambiance is incredible, it was my first time I'll definitely be back to see Kole

Yelp
Today was my first visit to Coopers Hawk in the new Alpharetta location. To say I was overly impressed would be an understatement. From top to bottom they have it figured out after only being open only one week. We will never forget the incredible service we experienced. A shout out to Katy & Javon who couldn't be more accommodating. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Went for early Happy Hour, great shaved prime rib sliders, smoked salmon pate and crackers, wonderful expresso martini and mango sangria. Brand spanking new facility with wine bar, cocktail bar, large dining room, a couple of private dining rooms, great decor, attentive and plentiful wait staff, moderate prices. A wonderful experience.
