The cocktails were ok, compared to around the area, the staff are quite friendly and the place is nice! The snacks and food menu is good as well.

We made it for their very generous happy hour. We had a few cocktails that were well balanced. One had an egg white which the bartender shook forever to create an amazing looking foam and pattern with bitters. We also had tacos and a panini. The tacos were flavorful and we enjoyed the salsa.

Google
It has great happy hour for wine, beer, some cocktails & delicious food. Bonus: they go an hour later than most other places nearby. Negatives: on some days you have to order directly from the bar & it can take 15 minutes or more just to PLACE your order. I did see a European couple ( tourists, I assume) who waited at least 15 minutes and were discreetly holding( not waving as rude people tend to do) a couple of $100.00 bills, & either the bartenders didn't see them, or they ignored them for some reason, because they ended up leaving. Maybe I just don't know the backstory ( perhaps they were there before & really rude or something). Anyway, I'm going to try to go near the beginning of happy hour, to see if the service is a little bit better. If you are not impatient, it's definitely worth a visit. If you just like cheap beers & burgers, I would choose another nearby option!

My favorite bar in Santa Monica. Strong and delicious drinks with more than enough variety for everyone. I highly recommend the Gold Rush or Lenin-Aid. Monday night is all night happy hour. Closed on Sundays but happy hour is everyday from 530-8PM. Definitely gets packed during the end of happy hour so try to get a seat early.

Great drinks, a little cramped but good spots usually get crowded!

I must be way too easily influenced by TV because after watching Mad Men, I find myself drinking whiskey cocktails and even on the rocks sometimes. With that said, Copa d'Oro has an extensive cocktail list--written on the boards on the wall, or you can even find more online, and they'll make it for you. All the drinks are well-made, fresh tasting, and strong, with my favorite being the "Ciao." Plus the people are fun since it's a younger crowd in Santa Monica. I've been meaning to go back for happy hour once my liver gets a well-deserved rest.

Google
Don't let the "posh" descriptor mislead you, the atmosphere and setting is posh and intimate, but the staff and clientele is laid back and easygoing. Great cocktails, good service, a nice place to unwind especially later at night when there are less tourists.

Google
Copa d'Oro's location by 3rd Street promenade and the pier makes it a perfect spot to grab happy hour. Their drinks are well made, and while the HH food is good, a bit overpriced. Definitely worth it to stop by if you want to take a break from shopping and not deal with a large crowd!

James J.

Yelp
It's right next to 3rd street Promenade very convenient if your in the area visiting or vacation various drinks to decide overall a great place to check out

Yelp
a cute little bar in santa monica! we were wandering at night trying to find a restaurant where the kitchen was still open, and we were pointed towards lanea. they have some arcade games and pool tables by the front. the service was friendly! we were starving and ordered asada and camaron con mango tacos with chips & pico de gallo. all pretty good. we loved that the tortillas were handmade!

Alfie W.

Yelp
Nice place, the food and drinks are good. I enjoyed the flavor of their tacos, they had a very good salsa to go with them.

Eric J.

Yelp
Came here Saturday night, parked over at the promenade and walked over. Got sat immediately but no host. Sat on the couch and you order from the bartender and they'll bring it over pretty quickly. $4 tacos, i thought it was multiple in a serving but i ended up going back 3 times for more lol. Huge amount of guac that'll fall out while eating it. Ton of chicken for just one taco I missed happy hour but had a spicy margarita that was just the right amount of spice. My vegetarian friend said she was suprised at how good the veggie taco was and the house made tortillas. We also tried the beyond meat taco and it wasn't bad for fake meat

Christina C.

Yelp
Unexpectedly the best tortilla chips I've ever had. They are corny, slightly sweet and not oily at all. They go so well with the guacamole, which is delicious as well. We had tacos that came on handmade tortillas, which were again, unexpectedly amazing. The music is loud, but at least good, and there are arcade games and a pool table along with a roomy bar. The girl next to us got the nachos, which looked delicious. The service is friendly and the restrooms are pretty clean. There's also free 90 minute parking at the garage around the corner on 2nd Street.

Karina P.

Yelp
We had a surprise party here, and the food was really good! I loved all the chips and guacamole, pico de gallo, veggie quesadillas, chicken tacos, rice and beans. The best item was definitely the veggie quesadillas, and it helps that the tortillas are handmade and actually flavorful. The prices are also pretty good for a restaurant in LA.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! My boyfriend has been coming here for years since they first opened and not much has changed. We popped in for a quick drink and it was fairly quiet. The service was wonderful. The bartender (I forgot his name but he was the Asian guy w tattoos) was a joy. He was kind enough to recreate their "Banana Montana" drink which is from an old menu of theirs. It was fantastic. We also ordered some Beyond and Veggie Tacos (we are vegan and GF) from the bar and they were so good we ordered more. We hadn't even gone with the intent of ordering food but it was such a good deal and so tasty. The atmosphere is chill and there are tons of arcade games, a huge boat prop you can take selfies in and some other games around as well as event nights like karaoke, watch parties and more. I would definitely come back. I'm hoping a friend of mine will start hosting trivia nights there as well :)

Emily N.

Yelp
We went on a Wednesday to grab some drinks and food but didn't realize that it was karaoke night. It was unexpectedly crowded for a Wednesday night and it was really fun! They had games and a pool table as well and a DJ. I would definitely go back for a Wednesday karaoke night

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped by this place while we were killing time before the Barbie movie began, so we decided this was the spot to sit down and eat dinner. Good decision as the quesadilla and the tacos were really good. I ordered the gluten-free quesadilla and I wish I could have brought the tortilla shell that he used home because that was the best taco shell ever. And I mean ever. Better than gluten, even! The customer service was great, and I don't even know how he did it by himself with all those people in there, but he somehow remained attentive to our table as well. My only complaint is that I wish they weren't so shy with the seasonings, but at least we had the two choices of sauces to fill in the gaps.

Amber S.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant and bar. The decor and seating was comfy, they had arcade games on free play, including my husbands favorite PacMan. The bartender went over the menu with us, even talked to the chef about gluten free options for me. We got our drinks right away, they were ok. The margarita is more like a weird seltzer drink. Took us awhile to order, because you have to go to the bar and the music was pretty loud. We got our food and it was really good, the fresh corn tortillas were great. The carne asada and polo tacos were pretty good. Trying to order more drinks was a task. The bartender kept walking around playing on his phone. Then he'd wonder into the back and be gone for a bit. Same with getting our check, we had to track him down again. All in all we had a nice lunch and it was an interesting place. Just needs a little bit better service.

Sandy Y.

Yelp
Dropped by on a Thursday night for a quick bite. Food is mid but it filled us up and essentially got the job done. Didn't drink but the vibes were good - there was a "live" DJ and bartenders were doing their thing. As the night progressed (~11pm) it was louder and there was more vibrant energy. There were pool tables in the front by the entrance, retro game machines, and plenty of space. Bar area got pretty crowded and busy though - understandably so. I wouldn't come and order food again but I would come to grab a drink and chill.

Christine B.

Yelp
I really wasn't expecting much, but when I tried two tacos that I ordered. I couldn't believe how good they were. I had one shrimp and one Asado. I would've ordered more if it wasn't for. I definitely want to come back here again when I'm in the area. I also posted a photo of what my girlfriends ordered and they loved it as well. What I didn't know is that you have to order from the bar. No one comes to your table. At least that's what happened when we went last Friday.

Kassandra S.

Yelp
I stumbled across this place while walking to my car & immediately needed to peek inside because there was loud music inside I was not disappointed!! I'm not sure how long this place has been open, but they have free arcade games as well as free board games! - Drinks were tasty and they played good 2000s music! They have a cute photo op inside the bar as well - It was a bit empty, but my friends and I made it fun playing games and catching up! - We didn't order any food & you order drinks at the bar A place I work definitely visit again!

Darya S.

Yelp
My husband and I went here for a late dinner after landing in LA on a Wednesday night. It was one of the only restaurants open that also allowed babies and we were thankful (even though we were definitely not hip enough for this type of place). They have an unlimited taco deal on Wednesdays for $15 a person, which is a fantastic deal. We had three trays of three tacos each and it was delicious, including the vegetarian ones. They definitely had that California flair that you don't have with Arizona street tacos. It was filling (obviously) and satisfying. The meat was juicy. And overall a great deal. The server/bartender was cool too and he even told us about his own baby! Great spot for late-night tacos in a cool ambiance.

Brittany E.

Yelp
Stopped here after a day at the pier and so glad we did! Cute, eclectic interior with plenty to look at and fast service. Loved our cocktails, and the tacos were great, too.

DeeAnna S.

Yelp
Our first time here. It was late Sunday afternoon and not crowded so we thought we'd give it a try. (We've walked by so many times in the evening and it's been packed.) Inside was casual but comfortable seating. You seat yourself and order both food and drinks at the bar. The menu is on a QR code you scan and open on your phone. Not a big menu so was fairly easy to navigate on a cell phone. We ordered a Shrimp Burrito and a Chicken Quesadilla. Both were good and filling. For cocktails had a Margarita and Watermelon Sugar Highs. Both types of cocktails were excellent! Javier the bartender was very nice and enjoyable to talk to. They did have several televisions with sports on as well as recorded music playing. Neither were too loud which we appreciated. It's nice to be able to have a conversation and hear the person sitting next to you! Overall we really enjoyed this place and definitely recommend it!

Yelp
Taco Tuesday happy hour all day! This is the place to come if you're in Santa Monica. It's right next to Parking Structure 6, so parking is not an issue. It might seem small, but there is more space the further inside you go. Food and drinks are great, although, I thought my margarita could have been stronger. This bar is perfect for dates, because they don't blast the music and since it is close to the Promenade, you can people watch. It's also good for groups, like a small birthday or after work drinks. The only issues were how the furniture was arranged. For some reason, they put a pool table, mini arcade, and boat right by the entrance. This forces everyone to crowd in the front and make the bar look more packed that it actually is. Also, they often have parties reserve all the table seating, so you have to either sit by the bar or the gather by the window/patio that's pretty cramped. Finally, they don't have much staff there, so on busy nights expect to wait awhile for your order.

Lauren C.

Yelp
My review is strictly on the drinks, happy hour, and atmosphere. I was walking around Santa Monica looking for a place to grab a drink before a movie and this place looked cute, quiet and I loved the huge open windows. They have a great happy hour and fun free old school video games. Played a few games and had a few drinks. I loved that they have old school 2000s R&B on, total throw back. Definitely want to try the food next time. I remember seeing a sign that said all you can eat tacos on Tuesday but for a certain amount of time.

Robert M.

Yelp
This place sucked in every possible way! It will be out of business in a few months. Super loud music, dirty tables. Bad service. Sketchy people.

Rita M.

Yelp
The servers were welcoming and the ambience was okay- we appreciated the fact they served food late. Unfortunately, the food was painfully average, if not bad. An unfortunate introduction for my friends first try of Mexican cuisine. Their guacamole, however was delicious!

Roshni W.

Yelp
Lanea has been around for 5 years and a neighborhood favorite which was why it was a no brainer for my husband and I to host our wedding ceremony and reception there. Peter the owner was so accommodating in letting us have the space privately for an hour for the ceremony and allowing the wedding party to turn the space into a confetti of balloons, flowers and arches before the big event. The food was amazing as always and the staff were so great with taking care of all the guests. It has been and will continuously be a place where my hubby and I will frequent especially when they have great events of their own like salsa dancing, karaoke on Sundays and tourney Thursdays! A fun place when you want it to be and a whimsical environment for special occasions! Thank you to everyone at Lanea for everything you do.

Chanel M.

Yelp
I love Linea. This is my 3rd time and its the first time I've had the food. The quesodillas are so goooood. The tortilla is thick and fresh. The meat and cheese are amazing. The price reasonable. The Paloma is phenomenal and thr mango margarita is the BEST. It tastes like I'm eating a mango chili lollipop! The drink tastes like the mango and the rim is like the outside of the lollipop. The bartender Libby has been here twice that I've been and wow is her hospitality and personality amazing. She has a cute Australian accent and a bright personality! Overall a 10/10!!!

Samantha W.

Yelp
Got served by a bartendress Paulina. Was having a tough time finding good bar food in Santa Monica. The birria tacos are unreal! She also made quality spicy margaritas and met me with funny banter the whole time. What a great face of your restaurant. Thanks, Paulina! See you next week with my family.

Madie D.

Yelp
Literally so cute!! I stumbled in here looking for some quick chips and salsa and drinks. It happened to be happy hour with two for one margaritas! The chips and pico de gallo were tasty and nice to munch on with our margs. I also really liked their arnold palmers, which came with free refills. Everything was super reasonably priced and the service was great! I loved the decor and aesthetic of the place - super beachy and cute all throughout! There are surfboards on the wall and a cool boat in the middle of the bar, with plenty of seating all around. 10/10 recommend!!

Will L.

Yelp
Since the sun stays bright late, I can take my grandmother out for dinner.. I decided to checkout Lanea All-you-can-eat-tacos for $15.. And this is the best all you eat deal I found in Santa Monica.. The tacos were super-YummY!! Lanea is a bar-lounge but we came early and easily found a table and beat the late night crowd..

Stephanie H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit here again. I came back 2 years after my first time here to take a photo by the boat. The bartender, Mikey, was absolutely amazing and really knowledgeable about tequila. He knew a lot about the drinks and he made some really nice cocktails for me and my friends. I will totally come back next time I am in Santa Monica!

Ashley C.

Yelp
After a long day of Santa Monica pier, my group was craving tacos, so we found Lanea! Since it was 2pm,the restaurant was pretty casual, and they had a bunch of games and tables open for us to use. The food was pretty yummy and affordable which we liked! Tacos were the cheapest things (~$12 for 3) on the menu and were definitely filling for us. Would come back to again!

Topher H.

Yelp
Came in for a dinner. I sat down, smiled and tried to interact with the Asian bartender with the tattoo sleeves. I ordered the Shrimp burrito and a Mexican beer that was on specials. After i ordered he just came back to his local customer and started to talk to them. I had to ask him for my beer, cause it felt like he wasnt gonna serve me. I felt unwelcomed, like he was mad dogging me like he wanted to have a fist fight. I minded my own bussiness. Ngl the ambiance is great ie (arcades, etc). The food, i feel like i would enjoy a food truck much better. The drinks are decent. Anyways, Go there if you like to drink. But dont go there if you wanna have food. First impression last in my opinion. No vibes or whatsoever.

Andre D.

Yelp
Without a doubt the worst bar service I have ever experienced. Went here as a part of a wedding after party and the bartenders were complete assholes. Shit attitudes towards everyone in the group, terrible drinks, horrible service. Would never recommend such a terrible establishment.

Grace P.

Yelp
Lanea used to be my spot! I loved going here and every time someone came to town I'd take them to Lanea. I thought it was cool, especially as a Latina living in the SM area, Lanea felt like home. However, this all changed due to two different instances. The first one was a creepy incident I witnessed. One time I was there with my boyfriend, and the manager (can't remember his name) was being very handsy with a girl. There was a group of people at the bar, and he kept giving them shots. At one point, he walked over to a girl who was part of the group and put his arm around her in a very weird way. He kept touching her, I don't know if she was ok with it but it was just weird, and gave me the ick. The second one: A few weeks ago a friend and I had dinner near 3rd Street and we decided to end our night with a game of pool. We walked into Lanea and were about to buy a drink but decided to use the bathroom first. We walked into the bathroom, and while I was there I received a phone call and needed to leave ASAP due to an emergency. We walked out of the restroom and the manager was at the bar. I began to express to him that I was sorry but we had to leave. He began shaking his head at us, and very rudely said "next time I am going to have to charge you, if there even is a next time". He proceeded to be very rude and stood there shaking his head at us. I think he thought we just walked in to use the restroom? It's understandable that can be frustrating as a business owner, but he didn't even ask what the matter was or tried to inquire about us leaving so soon. He basically insinuated that we weren't welcome anymore just because of that. It's such a bummer because I loved this place, and one time he asked me for music recs and I told him to play rock en español and were jamming out to some rock en español! He had to have known I was a loyal customer, and I left because I had tend to an emergency. Well, he basically told me that I was not welcome there anymore because maybe he thought I only went inside to use the restroom. I tried to explain to that I was sorry I had to leave, but he just wasn't having it. Oh well, he lost a loyal customer base! Deveras que lastima que los latinos se crean así nadamas por ya tener negocio en Santa Monica!

Megan M.

Yelp
I am SO excited they are open normal hours again since Covid! They are now open again on Monday nights and this is a spot my friends and I would frequently visit after our rehearsals on Mondays! Our rehearsals get out around 10pm down the street and to find an open spot on a monday is hard nowadays! Lanea is the most perfect spot to hangout! They have a late night kitchen open until 10:30pm and the best drinks! They specialize in Tequila but also have a vast bar of everything. I will update this review when I ask for the bartender's name (monday night bartender 9/11/23!) when I go back but he made me an old fashioned and added his own twist to it and it was fantastic! The food is fresh and there are plenty of couches and chairs to sit in. We love the laid back vibe and we will be frequenting here again on Mondays! Thank you for being an awesome place to hang at!

Jessica K.

Yelp
Hidden gem amidst the busyness of 3rd street!! Super convenient location on Broadway. Street parking is usually nearby and parking structures are 90 mins free! Service (6.5/10): nothing bad but also nothing good. it's like a classic bar where you go up to order, but they don't come to check on you ever, even though they aren't usually busy. Food (6.5/10): we came on Wednesday night for all you can eat tacos ($15). we each ordered 10 tacos -- ate 8 and took 2 home for lunch the next day(rare for all you can eat places!) they're yummy and pretty generous on the meat/taco ratio so $15 is a pretty good deal if you order enough! However, I would still recommend a classic taco truck for authentic street tacos. Drinks (9/10): I love the cocktails at lanea! My favorite is the PCH-picante coast highway. The ginger and passion fruit combo is . The watermelon sugar high is also very yummy! Their cocktails are $13 which is pretty reasonable for LA. Ambience (9/10): cute and casual! my boyfriend and I LOVE to come here because they have a lot of games to play! would definitely be fun to come with a group and order tacos/drinks and just play games! they also have like old joystick games like pacman (and don't charge you to play!) Overall, wouldn't come here just for the food unless it's all you can eat on weds (though their tacos are still yummy) but would come here for the drinks & ambience!

Tom C.

Yelp
Looks like a great place for cocktails. They have all you can eat tacos on Wednesday for $15! That's awesome. But after tasting the tacos, I understand why. The meat flavor was below average. Rice and beans were average. The chips and guac, well below average. The tortillas of the tacos were amazing! Salsas had decent flavor but nothing to brag about. This place is simply a cocktail joint. The atmosphere is solid too. I probably wouldn't come back unless I had a group of friends that wanted to try it.

Ruby M.

Yelp
This is my go to spot, if I want to have some good drinks and catch up with my friends. It's a perfect social setting, they even got a live dj on the weekends after 9pm. A part from having delicious drinks and tacos, they also have some arcade games, and a huge selection of board games/card games. Perfect for a group setting! The margarita flight is a must try, set at a perfect price point.

Helen M.

Yelp
I only ordered the appetizers from Door Dash , but every time they were freezing cold . I don't mean room temp meh , I mean freezing cold . That was great for the guac , but everything else horrible .

Albert K.

Yelp
Hosted an event here for 100 folks. Super fun staff, clean space, and good drinks. Great tacos also. Vibes were fun and chill, and everybody had a great time.

Cze T.

Yelp
Came here for the tacos and margaritas and I'll say that Lanea didn't disappoint! They are very generous with the amount of meat there is in each taco. Also, every taco has handmade corn tortillas, which were delicious. I also ordered the margarita flight- picante coast highway was my favorite, second being the spicy margarita. SOCAliente margarita has quite the kick to it if you like spicy. The pours are also very generous considering it's called a "flight". As for the tacos, I tried all except the veggie taco. They were all very tasty and flavorful but to rank them from best to good, here's my list: 1) barbacoa 2) pollo 3) Camaron con mango 4) cecina 5) asada 6) pescado con mango Again, ALL the tacos were amazing. Ambiance was great- has a lounge feel inside and they have board games that you can play with your friends as well. Heads up- on cinco de Mayo, book your spot for $20 all you can eat tacos!!!

Paige D.

Yelp
If your a mezcal lover , this is your heaven ! The ambiance was amazing, and they have a street fighter arcade game me and my boyfriend had a blast playing, and it was free ! The cocktails were top tier for the price , hate going somewhere and getting a $20 cocktail with well alcohol in it, that is not what it's like here at ALL. Cocktails are well balanced and creative. Lastly our bartender Shannon was super helpful and had a ton of knowledge on the mezcals. I highly recommend asking for her at the bar.

May M.

Yelp
My new favorite cocktail bar in Santa Monica! Living only 10 mins away we never had a chance to explore due to covid. So glad I stumbled upon this place after reading multiple Yelp reviews. Their cocktails are superb and beyond delicious. Our favorites were watermelon sugar high(sweet) and socaliente (spicy kick) Our waitress was busy with a vast amount of customers but she was always attentive and kind. She gave out recommendations which was helpful. We fell in love with the cocktails we purchased the 4 canned cocktails to-go for $20! Can't wait to be back.

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Such an incredibly cute spot! Service was absolutely hospitable by Johnathan. Drinks were so good, I love the themed drinks. Free games to play, photo op in a boat that is so cute and fun. Can't wait to go back. Definitely would like to check out the vibe when there's a DJ set. A must visit.

Kelly C.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by this place!!! When you walk in there's a cute little canoe that you can sit in and drink and people watch!! I didn't get a chance to do it but maybe come at a different hour. MARG MONDAYS IS CLUTCH!! Pch has a kick and spice to it, so mango is a good alternative. I loved the paloma here too!! For food I ordered the taco plate with carne asada, which was pretty decent for not being a food truck/street taco tent. Loved that it came with guac on top too!! Ambiance and decor is so boho and cute, wonderful place to lounge :))

Derreck K.

Yelp
Best tacos in Santa Monica! Pretty quite place and cozy Really recommend for weekends

Sarah P.

Yelp
Libby was so amazing!!! She was super attentive as soon as we walked in even when the place was full. She was patient as my entire party was unsure of what we were drinking. I have never been here but her suggestions, accommodations, and patience was just what I need on a Friday. Multiple people were grabbing her attention and she seemed to be attentive to all of us! I will be back for Libby. !!! Super sweet and such a vibe ! We also never drink shots, but she sold us!!! Whoever her manager is! You have a gem

Sarah M.

Yelp
Mikey, the bartender made our Saturday night! Not only was he really friendly, he was able to recommend some great drinks for me and my girls. I am not a huge shot person but we tried the Codigo and I am so glad I did. I was so nervous to take a straight tequila shot but it was incredibly smooth so if you hadn't had that yet I highly recommend it! He truly made our vacation, all the drinks came out super fast. Also whatever music playlist they had going, was great, from top 40 to latino to hip hop, all the bases were covered. They even have a pool table and a shuffle board!

Bianca N.

Yelp
Great food and cocktails. I loved the vegetable quesadilla and the PCH cocktail -- sweet and just strong enough. Really nice staff too. I don't understand why there is a boat in the very small space taking up a quarter of the restaurant but when i saw a group of 20 year olds climb into it for a photo opp, i figured it must be for the younger generations who care about stuff like that. We went late on a Saturday night for the techno music and it was good music and a good vibe.

Lois N.

Yelp
My family and I were new to the area and looking for good food and a great ambiance. The staff at Lanea went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you so much This spot is great for new comers, friends, couples...the vibes were immaculate. The food was delicious and vegan and vegetarian friendly!!!

Liz H.

Yelp
I stopped in to grab a late night drink one weekend, so it was a little busy but the staff were quick to help those at the bar, the music was upbeat and lively. Can't wait to come back!

Steven V.

Yelp
You're on the promenade, expect a crowd. But a wonderful environment, I would suggest the bundles I got a couple tacos and a blanket! A bargain! The margs are top notch. You should come here it's really good and your dumb if you don't!!!

Maureene R.

Yelp
Hosted a co-ed baby shower here. Service was impeccable (Thanks Peter, Ian and rest of the staff!). Great tacos, great bar. Fun space for what we wanted. Grateful to all of you who help make our day so special.
