"Copa Vida’s seventh location is coming to Carmel Valley. The craft coffee company, which operates cafes in several San Diego neighborhoods including the East Village, Carlsbad, and Sorrento Valley, will be part of Merge Carmel Valley; The Barrel Room Wine Bar & Bistro and Mason Ale Works Tasting Room + Kitchen opened side-by-side in the same suburban center last month. Fueled by its central roasting facility in Pasadena, Copa Vida’s cafes range in size from bigger outposts that feature full kitchens and an expanded food menu to smaller sites offering grab-and-go items. Its coffee program includes a self-service coffee bar for morning commuters as well as dedicated barista service for complete range of espresso and tea drinks. Built from scratch, the 2,500-square-foot Carmel Valley branch will include a full kitchen and breakfast, lunch, and weekend brunch menus. There will be indoor seating as well as a large corner patio." - Candice Woo

It's located in a nice quiet neighborhood in Carmel Valley. It has great interior and lots of seating. Great to hangout with friends and study. I got the almond croissant and lavender latte and it was delightful. I'll definitely come back.

We had lunch once in the store, and the food is good and amount is decent. We ordered takeout next time, only a few weeks after, and the amount is barely larger than my fist. Everything is reduced in size at least 1/3 or half except the price. For example, The pork belly came with 4 pieces last time and it’s 2 piece in all of the bowls now. Not sure if they changed the size recently or just takeout or just me. I hope it’s just me but then quality control is another problem. It’s shocking how they address inflation so quickly…

Delicious food (burritos were fantastic, not greasy at all), pastries and coffee. Very chill for a Saturday morning and a perfect spot for dogs or a quick stop on a bike ride. Plenty of parking in the garage.

Stopped by in the middle of a a bike ride. Cashier was extremely helpful in placing my order. Their affogato is among the best I've had in San Diego. Would definitely bike another 12 miles for another one.

Decent coffee house. Nothing to write home about. It's a good place for coffee if you want to stay away from your typical Starbucks. They serve all the basic varieties and have a small food menu to choose from. Plenty of seating although it does lack a bit if cozyness, doesn't really invite you to stay long.

Peaceful and quiet atmosphere, sophisticated and neat interior, friendly staff... The tomato soup and FREDDO were also very delicious.
