"Central Station's Amazing Ceiling When we're in a hurry we often forget to pause and look up. When you find yourself in Copenhagen 's Central Station, make sure you take the time to do so. The roof is built in a design similar to that of the iron roofs seen all over Europe—only in Copenhagen, it is made out of great wooden timbers. Looks very Viking-esque doesn't it?"

Berlin, Prague and Copenhagen Will Soon Be Connected by Direct Train

Already running seasonally between Hamburg and Copenhagen, this night service will be extended to take advantage of the new cross-border route that links Prague, Berlin and Copenhagen. The extension is intended to integrate overnight travel into the expanded network, giving passengers another option alongside the new daytime direct trains. - Liv Kelly

Great structure plenty of choices for food and drink. Very clean and easy to get around. Only concern are the lack od disabled toilet facilities. We waited 30 minutes only to find doors were locked. We then had to use unisex cubicle which was tiny and not a pleasant experience. Also, paying for disabled toilet via barriers was not clear and no one was around to help.

Easy to use station, lots of nice architecture and the signage was clear. Obviously everything I'm Copenhagen if pricey and th station if no different. Just be realistic on what you would want to get there Vs taking it with you.

Tidy train station in the city centre. Convenient stores and fast food were available. Snack and quick meals were tasty.

Copenhagen’s primary transport hub. The station provides convenient access to all of Copenhagen’s neighborhoods via the metro and S-Tog suburban trains system, as well as connections the rest of the country, Scandinavia, and Europe via regional and inter-city rail.

Copenhagen Central Station is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and a place I pass through almost every day. It’s not just a transportation hub but a beautiful historic building that has served as Copenhagen’s main gateway since it opened in 1911. Designed by architect Heinrich Wenck, the station combines grand arches, warm wooden interiors, and classic Danish details that make it feel both functional and timeless. It's the third central station Copenhagen has had. The previous one stood just a few meters away, but the rapid growth in rail traffic made it necessary to build the current, much larger version. Another detail people love is the main hall’s wooden ceiling, inspired by traditional Nordic architecture. Today the station is busy from early morning to late evening, with trains, buses, shops, cafés, and people heading in every direction. Despite the crowds, it’s surprisingly easy to navigate and remains one of the most reliable meeting points in the city. For our tours, we meet under the big central clock in the main hall, which has been a classic meeting spot for more than a century. It’s the perfect place to start a walk through Copenhagen, as the station sits right on the edge of the historic center. Whether you’re arriving in the city, grabbing a coffee, or starting one of our guided tours, Copenhagen Central Station is a place full of character, history, and movement.

A beautiful station building, but unfortunately not very well adapted to a modern railway. The platforms are too narrow and far too overcrowded, with only one narrow escalator going up and down. I have rarely experienced that a train actually departs on time from the platform it is supposed to leave from; when an entire train suddenly has to change platforms, it turns into total chaos. There is far too little information on the screens and over the loudspeakers. The food stalls inside the departure hall look like completely misplaced shipping containers. Trash is everywhere. There is a lack of seating. Constant delays. The station is also located on the wrong side of tivoli, in what is otherwise a dead area. The only thing that works somewhat properly is the S-trains. Copenhagen deserves a great railway station, but it also needs a station able to deliver on something as basic as handling train operations.

København H is a busy, well-organized central hub that made getting around Copenhagen — and beyond — super easy. The station is clean, spacious, and well-signed, with plenty of food options, shops, and seating areas. We had no trouble navigating ticket machines or train schedules, even as visitors. One of the best parts is how conveniently located it is — just steps away from Tivoli Gardens! It was perfect for dropping off bags in a locker and walking straight over to enjoy the park. The station also connects smoothly to local S-trains and regional routes, and it felt safe and well-maintained even during busy times. A great starting point for exploring Copenhagen or venturing out across Denmark and into Sweden.
