Before signing the lease, the company was super responsive and helpful, but after the lease was signed, they became unresponsive and rude. We have worked with Lexi and Ally.
Before signing the lease, Lexi told us that we could install a garbage disposal in the home. After signing the lease, Ally told us we could not install a garbage disposal even though all the hook ups were available for a garbage disposal. If we had known that at the time, we would have rented somewhere else.
We were also delayed moving into the home because the previous tenants left the house with flees, so we had to pay extra to stay an extra month with our previous place with Copper Bay took care of that problem.
Once we finally got to move into the home, the previous tenants of 2 years had left the home a complete mess. It was so filthy and it was annoying to have to clean our previous rental and our new rental in the same week. The company did however offer a small reimbursement for the hassle, but it was worth nothing compared to the rent.
After move-in, we tried calling the company several times about the issues. It ended up that they disconnected their phone line and told us the only way to communicate with them was through our rental maintenance portal.
After being at the home for a few months, we took our cats to the vet, and after paying several hundreds in vet bills, discovered that our cats got flees from the house that we were told was flee-free when we moved in. The company hired someone to come take care of the flees again, but we had to pay to move our cats to a hotel for a night and pay for all the medicine. It is outrageous that we had to pay all that money just because Copper Bay couldn't bother to hire proper professionals to take care of the problem before we moved in.
We have overall been very dissatisfied with the company and cannot wait to leave them behind in a couple months.
Do NOT waste your time and money with Copper Bay.
They do not even deserve the 1 star rating.
