Copper Canyon is your standard “Americana” pseudo-upper-end chain style (per their website it appears to be a Maryland chain) restaurant in Silver Spring. The menu is what one would expect from this type of a restaurant: steaks, grilled meats, sandwiches, etc. We were referred to this restaurant by a hotel worker where we were staying nearby, who described the restaurant is rather expensive. I actually found the restaurant’s prices reasonable by today’s standard. The restaurant was busy and we didn’t have a reservation, but were able to get a seat outside. Our server was nice, but sort of pushy – didn’t really give us time to look at the menu after we sat down. We ordered drinks, and she then came back a few moments later without our drinks and asked if we were ready, so we ordered. I ordered their signature roasted chicken, which was decent, but nothing original nor outstanding, while my partner had the ribeye. A few moments later she appeared with the drinks, and sort of apologized I think for not bringing when she came to take our order for the main courses. The main courses came out suspiciously quickly, too quickly – and the youth food-runner worker who brought the food slammed the plates down so hard that it spilled my partner’s au jus sauce all over his plate. I complained to our waitress who was apologetic, but did nothing to remedy the situation. I also have to point out that my partner’s club soda glass was dirty on the inside. Long story short, the food was OK, nothing special, but generous portions, like I said very “Americana.” It’s a good place to go if you are with picky unadventurous dining companions, or just don’t know what you want – but nothing I will be in a hurry to go back to, especially with the other little fallacies. 2.5 to 3/5

First time here & I tried the rattlesnake pasta. Very very delicious! Don't let the name fool you though. 😁 Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to try something out for the first time. Atmosphere is relaxing and there's also outdoor seating as an option.

What an amazing dinner and evening we had here. The waiter (Minte), and waitress (Kay) were champions! The recommendations on what to order were spot on. The food was perfect! If you are visiting from outside Baltimore this is the place to go! 5 Star Experience

Let me tell you about the ribs at Copper Canyon: these babies don’t just fall off the bone, they practically dive off with grace, right onto my fingertips. Juicy, tender, and smothered in a special sauce. If these ribs were a love storyline, I need to finish this novel. Now, about the bread pudding. Full disclosure: I’m not a “bread pudding person.” Never have been. But THIS bread pudding? Game-changer. It’s like a warm hug from your favorite grandma…, it’s sweet, comforting, and big enough to share, though you might not want to. It’s the dessert you order when you “don’t really want dessert” but secretly do. Soft, rich, and just sweet enough to make you feel like you made the right life choices. And let’s not forget the atmosphere…! it’s classy, cozy, and perfect whether you’re sipping cocktails, having coffee, or just solving the world’s problems with good conversation. Copper Canyon is where great food and good vibes come together, and honestly, I’m already planning my next visit.

Google
This place has THE BEST key lime pie I have ever eaten. The graham cracker crust was thick and buttery, the pie was tangy and tasty as a key lime should be, and the homemade whipped cream topped it all off perfectly! I also had a good steak and a tasty old fashioned, but the key lime pie is what brought me here to write a review.

Google
Good food, not quite the food I would expect for this nice of an atmosphere and for the price. A little overpriced for the quality.

Google
This location doesn’t even come close to the Anne Arundel location ! My rattlesnake pasta was ok, the cornbread tasted differently, and the fish and chips , I don’t suggest. Waiters seemed preoccupied and busy although the establishment wasn’t packed.

1This was a wonderful meal! The ambiance of the restaurant was great but the food and drinks were impressive. I had the salmon and the dish was perfectly executed. What I enjoyed the most was the smokey flavor of the salmon with the whole grain mustard sauce. It was also crispy on the bottom which was a nice contrast in consistency. The spinach was seasoned and the potatoes were perfect. My pear martini was nice and strong and my days enjoyed their food as well ( I heard the chicken parm needed more sauce and garlic but the steak was cooked perfectly). As an appetizer, we had the cornbread. It was dry and was served with unsalted butter. This could be fixed by adding another egg to the batter, honey and vanilla extract. In addition, the butter needed, cinnamon, honey and flaky salt. The star lost on the rating was explicitly because the service was subpar. Our waitress was overly nervous and seemed like she didn't want to serve us. It also took 11.5 minutes to come to the greet us.

Yelp
Great Service, Host Abdul was very kind and helpful definitely would come again. Food was 9/10 portion sizes were great and the food had plenty of flavor. I do wish the menu was larger though not much to pick if you decide to come here repeatability

Yelp
I hosted a family event here and the food, service and ambience were great. We were in the private room and received top notch service.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. It had been a while since I've come to the Silver Spring Location. (The Glenarden location is my usual go to) Atmosphere: very sexy! Low lights. We sat at the bar and we didn't want to leave. 10/10 Customer service: it was amazing. All of the bartenders were very attentive, anticipating our needs, checking on us frequently. We did find a piece of hair in the pasta (which can happen anywhere). The staff handled it perfectly. The manager came over to make sure we were well accommodated. They offered a cornbread while we waited for the pasta to be remade. The pasta also did not show up on the bill. 10/10! Food: Rattlesnake pasta no meat sub spinach. My friend is a vegetarian and this is her go to order every time she comes. 10/10. Cornbread (complimentary): nice flavor, but a little crumbly for my liking. It had little pieces of jalapeños within. I prefer a slightly more cakey cornbread. 7.5/10 Lamb chop lollipops (Social hour): two lamb chops for $14. Served on top of some greens and a chimichurri sauce. They came out medium, which is my personal preference. They were slightly tangy for me but they were cooked very well. 7.5/10 French fries with blue cheese sauce: i added the blue cheese sauce that is served with the chips (social hour) to my fries. I will usually order French fries everywhere i go. And there's no exception here. Their fries are especially good. They're shoestring fries. Delish. 10/10 Social hour: there were a lot of drunk selections from cocktails to different wine selections and cocktails. There weren't many food options, and even less for someone who is vegetarian. It was nice that there is social hour. I plan to go back to this location later this week!

Yelp
I came here tonight with my husband for "date night". We ordered the ribs and pork shank meals, and a caesar salad. Both the ribs and shank were tender and flavorful. The sides were also good. The server/bartender was informative and attentive. The drinks were also good and strong. The ambiance was intimate and nice (dim lights, fireplace, wine bottles) which was perfect for a date night. I would recommend making a reservation, if you want to sit at a regular table due to waiting times, but bar seating is also available.

Yelp
4 STAR RATING is wholly justified for Copper Canyon Grill for the overall higher-end full service dining experience all things considered. BL: Party of 6 - we paid $244 before tip which included entrees for all 6, a couple apps to share and a few beers and sodas. For a special occasion dinner ON A BUSY SATURDAY NIGHT at a higher end downtown SS restaurant, higher end menu items and with the excellent service we had, nice interior decor, lighting, seating and ambiance, it was well worth what we paid. Let me list what I was looking for when I was searching for a dinner spot for our celebration: * High preference for a place right there in SS - anyone visiting from out of town and staying in downtown SS, this place is walkable - a major plus * Accepts reservations - that was a MUST especially for our larger party on a busy Sat night - BINGO - Open Table! * Multi purpose menu - had to have something for everyone including lots of fish / seafood lovers (and red meat not-so-lovers) in our party * Great online reviews - yes, I read them - most recent first - I discount ofc bashing about online ordering / deliveries or one-off negative incidents * Review of pics shows an interior that is conducive to a nice group dinner - roomy comfy seating, cozy atmosphere, nice lighting * Not a loud, rambunctious bar and grill - but also not a boutique-y trendy (read: pricey without deserving of being pricey) place With all the above criteria, there are honestly few IF ANY (!!) places that fit the bill right there in downtown SS. Surprising but true. So - I'd say we hit the jackpot with our choice of CC Grill. RESERVATIONS ARE KEY. Don't go there especially on a Fri or Sat night without one! We breezed right in on time (715PM reservs) and still had to wait 20 minutes for our table (it was worth that short additional wait and I wasn't put off by it (for reasons you'll read below) - but it wouldn't be worth a 45 min wait as a walk in with no reservations). So - I always ask: if you CAN make a reservation,WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU NOT amiright?! :) The interior of the restaurant is....curiously laid out. It's not a huge place but when you walk in, literally half the place is the bar area. The bar area has a huge racetrack-shaped bar running the length of the entire restaurant with seating pretty much all around it. There are smaller parties having their meal and drinks up at the bar. Pretty cool vibe and atmosphere. In a Saturday night, the place was definitely hopping and lively but not raucous and out-of-control. The other half of the restaurant is table seating. Booths along the perimeter of the half side and more booths and some tables with chairs. But not a ton of table seating. So.....if you're a larger party (ie 5 or more), you're going to wait. It's just a given. And because this is a place to "see and be seen," linger and enjoy a leisurely special meal, diners arent hustling to eat and run - they're there (as were we) to savor the evening, enjoy the great service, eat a delicious meal and enjoy good company. (Hence the importance of making reservations!!!) Everything we ordered was delicious and recommended: * Skillet Cornbread app * Calamari app * Grilled Rainbow Trout Plate * Chicken Pot Pie (in a cast iron skillet!) * Crab Cake Sandwich - if you're not ravenous, get the sando instead of the Platter for half the price and one cake (sando) vs 2 (platter) * Specialty Wood-fired Rotisserie Chicken Plate For me, this is a special occasion restaurant vs a place I would come to regularly for a meal. Not kid friendly btw - I'm not sure about kid's meals/menu but doubt they are serving chicken nuggets, hamburgers or mac and cheese lol. (For context, we drove here from NoVA so it's not a place we would ever go out of our way to eat at, no offense. All I'm saying is - next time we're looking for a place in downtown SS or if you live close by or for out-of-towners staying nearby, THIS PLACE IS A 2 THUMBS UP and I recommend it.

Yelp
Average food at best, the crab cakes are good nothing else. It is close to the Hilton that is why I went here with a big party. There are so many other choices that are better. Service was good.

Jill A.

Yelp
Solid appetizers, entrees, cocktails and wine list. Good option for big parties. 1pm lunchtime reservation for a Saturday - plenty of tables with private rooms/space, indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were helpful, pleasant and checked in often to refresh our drinks and inquire if we needed anything. Portions are large and we boxed up leftovers to take home.

Yelp
We made a reservation for our family if 4 for a Sunday night. Early reservation because we had tickets for a show at the Filmore. When we arrived were seated immediately. The decor was that of an upscale steakhouse, modern decor, comfortable booths and tables. We ordered the calamari and spinach dip for appetizer. The calamari was really good, better than I expected. The spinach dip was fantastic, just didn't understand the sides of sour cream and salsa. Also wish it came with some more chips. For dinner we had the filet with Gorgonzola, the prime rib, the chicken pot pie and a crispy chicken salad. All items came out well cooked, and hot! It was my son's first time having a chicken pot pie and he loved it! The food was great as was our server, only comment is that the food seemed rushed. Not much time given between appetizers and dinner. Great spot to eat and good location to the Filmore!

Soroush K.

Yelp
Delicious food, big portions, and friendly staff. I strongly recommended this place. I specially enjoyed their sirloin steak.

Jawhar H.

Yelp
The food was great. I went for lunch with a friend. The service was quick and professional. The ambiance is great for a classy upscale date. The lights are dim and very relaxing.

Razina D.

Yelp
Great place for a happy hour. Had dinner and a cocktail on Friday with one of my girlfriends. Food and atmosphere was excellent. It was crowded but service was good. Our server Cordero provided some suggestions for dinner options as well as drinks. We enjoyed ourselves and did not feel rush to leave. Nice crowd and very accessible for all! Highly recommend. Parking is really close and paid $5.00 for 4 hours, which was great.

Joshua D.

Yelp
Had to go to a work dinner here and I thought the service and setup was really nice. The salad, cornbread, and dessert were all top-tier. I thought the prime rib was lacking and the sides were all pretty much mashed potatoes which was meh.

Miles B.

Yelp
At my birthday dinner, I ordered the Impossible burger with fries and a side of Cole slaw. I was thankful for this meal. The burger and the coleslaw were near impeccable in taste and ingredient. The fries were not memorable in flavor. I was surprised to find how this restaurant has maintained its food quality since its opening, as far as I could tell. It was impressive how our server could memorize up to seven orders without writing them down. She was fine. I thought the restaurant ambiance was too dark and needed more lighting, and they had a large horizontal painting on a vertical wall, which was annoying to me.

Tia R.

Yelp
I'm sure we ordered everything on the menu as there is so much not pictured.. including dessert. All of the food was so very good and the waitress was amazing.

Sonya D.

Yelp
It's been too long since I've visited this location, one of the original Copper Canyon Grill in the DMV area. First thing I love about this location is it's right next to a multi-level garage. You can enter from Wayne Ave. If you park on the 1st floor level, section B, you're super close. Just walk towards the alleyway and go right. The restaurant is right there. I love convenience The fire place still marks the spot and continues to add to the warm ambience inside. The hostess at the front were pleasant and eager to seat us right away. We had Phillip for a waiter. He was GREAT with a nice smile to match and was very attentive to our needs. He recommended a delicious holiday sangria drink(shown in my pic). Get it, ask for it at this location. I was with my daughters best-friend mom and we had a great time laughing, catching up and enjoying a great meal. Ohhh I almost forgot try the Creamy Chicken Soup(it was the special for the day). Your taste buds will do cart-wheels in your mouth‍

Ben C.

Yelp
A solid rating here. The welcoming committee was good and seated us with our party. Quickly provided a menu and drinks. The lighting was very low and made it very challenging to see our company and other parts. It is very clean and such. Our little room was a bit on the warm side which made it uncomfortable towards the end. We ordered the fiesta egg rolls. Wow. Tasty beyond belief. Nice little appetizer. Fresh ingredients. Ordered the crab cakes and shared. The cakes weren't how I am used to eating. I expected a little more grilled. However that didn't deter the great flavor and heavy meaty crab filling. The coleslaw was light and had no overpowering flavors. The meal was good but a bit pricey than I would like to pay.

Yelp
One of the best comfort food restaurants in Silver Spring is Copper Canyon. My wife and I wanted a place just to lay back and relax from a long night out working, and Copper Canyon was that place. I love it when a waiter can read what we need and offer the right items for us to eat. It was great portions, so we split our meals with the rack of ribs, had cocktails, and a dessert. My favorite dessert is the bread pudding, and this one was large enough for 2 people. Overall, it was a great night out. The only minor thing that I can comment on is that I wish when requesting to split a meal that they offer to do that at the kitchen and not for me to do it at the table.

Anye S.

Yelp
We visited on a Friday night around 6:30 and though they had a lot of diners, we were able to get a table without a reservation. I ordered a peartini and the coconut shrimp special appetizer, and my husband got a chicken pot pie. I feel like we also ordered another appetizer but a quick glance at the menu two weeks later didn't trigger any memory of what it was. I didn't get an entree, as I also had some snacks at our previous happy hour stop. Everything was good. Hubby only got through half his pot pie, brought the rest home. I definitely got through all my coconut shrimp, channeling my inner Eleanor. We saw a server bring a dessert by that looked huge - definitely a sharable (by multiple people) portion, but we skipped dessert on this visit. Ambience is a little upscale, but not too much. Prices are also a little on the upscale side. But, it's a little bit of variety for date night that will probably make it into the rotation when we're in the mood for American food.

Cas N.

Yelp
Had a fantastic girls date that definitely checked all the boxes of what I wanted. The service was great, the server was polite and made great recommendations. The food was fantastic especially the crab cake sandwich and spinach artichoke dip . The drinks/cocktails were delicious abeit a bit weak and the outside patio added a nice touch of ambiance with its firepits and well groomed shrubbery.

Roberto N.

Yelp
This is a totally different restaurant from when we ate here five or six years ago. The layout's a little different, the menu is very different. It is a simplified menu. My other half and I had the crabcakes and the club salad. Both were outstanding. Another thing that really shone was the tomato basil soup that was the special for the day. Our weight staff was excellent, the table service was all top drawer. Highly recommend.

Melanie P.

Yelp
Solid American food for the basics. Good for folks who aren't foodies and want uncomplicated but tasty fare. Never my first choice only because I lean on the foodie side, but a good choice for a group dinner for a party with a range of tastes. Cocktails are solid. Ideal location for drivers, metro riders and bus riders. Parking garage very close, not expensive and free on weekends. Patio good for people watching.

Zerita H.

Yelp
I usually eat in, however ordered carry out yesterday. The cornbread was very, very dry. The cheeseburger ordered well done was very pink and the fiesta egg rolls were " just ok" I will stick with eating in at Copper Canyon

Najla A.

Yelp
I had the crab cake dinner and swapped the fries for mashed potatoes. Crab cakes had very little filler, which I appreciated. It was definitely high quality. Nice portion of mashed potatoes and cole slaw to accompany the crab cakes. Would go back again and definitely recommend. Service was free decent.

Jill J.

Yelp
Overpriced for the quality/ambiance Decent food but nothing that stood out as spectacular. Generally very good service, timely, mostly knowledgeable about the menu, and very pleasant demeanor. Wonderful staff but food wise i likely won't be back at least for an extended period of time

Angela B.

Yelp
I had lunch there today and I ordered the Impossible Burger for lunch. First let me say the location is nice, the restaurant is clean and the staff were excellent. The food my colleagues ordered seem delicious and they all even said it was delicious. However, I ordered the Impossible Burger and it was delicious UNTIL I got to the Center- it was like it was cooked Medium Rare why? It's Plant Based I am a little concerned because I got sick off of an undercooked plant based sandwich before. Please for the sake of others Cook the thing fully. We are not Meat eaters and don't require Medium Rare please ensure the center is cooked, served BROWN not RED.

Yelp
Thanks to Yelp, I stumbled upon Copper Canyon, located in downtown Silver Spring, MD. There's a parking garage adjacent to Copper Canyon but we lucked out by finding a metered spot right in front of the restaurant. Once inside, you'll notice the atmosphere is stylish and has an upscale kind of vibe - perfect for a business meeting, bumble date, birthday celebration or just meeting up with friends/family. The serving staff and host were friendly, professional and attentive. The food and drink menu is diverse. The portions are good and the prices are reasonable. We ordered spinach, Mac n cheese and the rattlesnake pasta (which is probably one of the top pastas I've ever had in my life). Don't worry - no rattlesnake LOL - it's basically rotisserie chicken with garlic, tri-bell peppers, mushrooms, and lime juice. It's tossed with linguine pasta in a Cajun Alfredo sauce and topped with smoked Mozzarella cheese & cilantro. It's absolutely AMAZING. If you're in the downtown Silver Spring area, I highly recommend checking out Copper Canyon. We dined here for lunch and it was easy to get seated. I'd probably assume that it gets packed during evenings/weekends so I'd recommend making reservations.

Kim H.

Yelp
Nice upscale looking restaurant in Silver Spring. We were seated promptly for lunch and ordered a crab cake sandwich and rotisserie chicken. The crab cake was good. It came with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, signature sauce and a side of fries. My fries were cold but they brought me a new hot side of fries, so no complaints there. The rotisserie chicken was dry. It's one of their specialties, but not sure why. It comes with half of a chicken and two sides. It's just not a great chicken dish.

Nicole J.

Yelp
I've never dined in at the Silver Spring location but I order curbside pickup often. I always have a pleasant experience with the employees I've come in contact with with the one exception that is a particular pet peeve of mine. Whomever answers the phone initially always has great phone etiquette while the person I'm transferred to that handles curbside orders always answers the phone as if it's their personal phone. (I.e. just saying "hello" and nothing else) I've had this experience with at least two guys but it's not that big of a deal...it's just annoying. I almost always order the club salad with crispy chicken, extra honey chipotle dressing and a side of cornbread. The salad and cornbread are delicious and the portions are huge. I love the cornbread croutons they serve with salads. So yummy! On occasion I'll order the meatloaf that comes with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had this last night and I substituted the green beans for the mac and cheese. The meatloaf isn't as flavorful as I'd like but it's still pretty good and they give you 3 slices in a order which I can turn into two meals. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are nothing to write home about. I will not order the mac and cheese again. I've also had the chicken pot pie once and I'd skip that too if I were you. All in all, it's a great location with plenty of garaged parking, they offer curbside pickup so you don't even have to get out of the car and they have good food and nice staff.

Erika S.

Yelp
My grandma turned 103 and we celebrated by renting a room here. The food and staff were great and so accommodating. My grandma enjoyed her party immensely!

Tracie R.

Yelp
Noah was our server before my friends had even sat down he was asking them what they wanted to drink. I said can you give them a minute to get seated. We placed our order and Noah was constantly coming to our table intrupting our conversation. In the end I had to tell him to NOT come to our table for 30 mintues. While we were eating dinner he came to the table and asked us if we wanted the check. We all looked confussed as we were still eating our dinner. He spoiled our evening. The next day I found in my account that he had charged me twice so now I had to call back and complaint to the manager Abiba. Who said she would call me back and never did. I even called again asking to speak to her and left a message and told she would call me back. Never got a call back. She Not Happy.

Brett J.

Yelp
A low lit richly accented eatery with tones of dark wood and steeped in opulence. From the second you walk in the service is exceptional. Almost a hand held experience. Our server was at the top of her game and we lacked for nothing. The bar is a huge peninsula of dark wood loaded with stools and libation concoction posabilities. Unfortunately I gave up drinking so I passed on these options... but the rest of my party partook and enjoyed the bar tenders skill. The food selections are elevated comfort food... meatloaf, rotisserie chicken, steak, etc... For my entree I ordered the rotisserie chicken. Unfortunately it had rotisseried a bit too long. The flavor was outstanding but the meat itself was a bit dry... it had just missed the mark. For my side I had the bacon Mac n cheese. It is an easily shareable side that is over flowing with rich cheesy goodness accentuated with decadent bacon. It could have been a meal all by it's self. Every bite was an ver the top flavor explosion of burr rich delight. The prices are high, the service was outstanding, the portions are huge, add over all the experience was on par. Next tim I'm trying the meatloaf!

Raven M.

Yelp
Neighborhood staple! Wish they would bring back a good happy hour. Bartenders always fantastic!

Alisha B.

Yelp
Decided to spend my Thanksgiving lunch at copper Canyon! The offered a Thanksgiving meals for about $27 but I decided to forgo the traditional thanksgiving servings and get an American classic (BBQ ribs)! The BBQ ribs and cornbread were delicious. My cocktail was a Sangria which was very good. Thank you Copper Canyon for the delightful Thanksgiving Meal

Rick T.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant in downtown Silver Spring. The menu is very classy and tasty. You will also appreciate the ambiance and the excellent service!

Mia K.

Yelp
Great 16oz Prime Ribs for only $36.50 in a very casual low key ambience. Had good service from Oscar. Prime Rib is excellent here at a great price! Comes with garlic mashed potatoes, jus & horseradish sauce. 10oz for $28.50 and 16oz for only $36.50 5* Big Caesar Salad needed more dressing but ok. comes with a section of cornbread $12 3.5* Large House Salad very basic. comes with a section of cornbread $12 3.5* Iron Skillet Cornbread $6. 5* Parking Planned to park in the garage but found street parking just across the street. Cool! Service Oscar was good, checking in on us & no issues

Jose M.

Yelp
Gave copper Canyon another chance. Ordered three entrees and they got one wrong (as in, sent the wrong item). We checked the DoorDash order and we didn't get it wrong. But their receipt reflected the wrong item so definitely an error on their end. To make matters worse their salmon filet had bones it it. You always know that's a possibility with a fish filet of any kind but it's not something we've had happen before, and Copper Canyon isn't cheap. I really want this place to do well because there's not much out this way but alas. Their prices are just too steep for food that doesn't always hit the mark and for making mistakes on simple orders.

Stephen W.

Yelp
Celebrating my daughter's middle school graduation, the family and I went to a Copper Canyon for dinner this evening and it was absolute delight. From the food, ambiance, decor as well as our 5 star server Dan; this was definitely a festive treat and a restaurant that I will come back to again and again.

Tanisha B.

Yelp
Copper canyon grill is an upscale franchise that provides great customer service and amazing food. This time I went to the bar area to grab a quick snack because my homegirl and I had already had brunch at another location and wanted to Continue the conversation. The Bar area is a great location if you want to have intimate conversation with a friend or a date. Enjoy

Jada W.

Yelp
When you want a classy yet casual atmosphere with great food and superb service this is the place. It's conveniently located near a parking garage but they do offer curb side pick up. I've gone many times over the years and have never had a bad meal or experience. During the holiday season, I purchase my family's turkey for Thanksgiving. Their holiday menu allows for a la carte items or a full family meal. They never disappoint. Outside of the holiday season, I enjoy their wood fires branzino for a filling meal. Service and cocktails are top notch. Highly recommend!

Mikella N.

Yelp
Server rushed us during the entire meal and was not friendly. Food was just ok. Chicken and waffles were decent, not worth the price. Ambience was dark which didn't really match the service or quality of the food. Maybe it was an off day for this restaurant. We had a table of 8 for lunch and felt it was overall just ok.

Kristin E.

Yelp
Copper Canyon recently closed for a few months for renovations and reopened about a week ago. Since then, I've been pretty disappointed. Firstly, I had went to the website literally the night before to see if they were open and it still said they were closed. Then, for some reason, I checked again and it say they were open. Nothing on their website indicated they were about to open so honestly, their marketing department failed them. On to the service. I ordered the House Salad and commented "add chicken" on Uber Eats. I actually find it particularly annoying that they don't already have a section under their salads to add a protein. I've done this countless times and I always call the restaurant to ensure they received my comment and tell them I am fine with the $5 extra charge. When I called, I was transferred to the carry out coordinator (I believe that was his title) who told me he charged me for the chicken. My food arrived and it had no chicken at all. I received a refund for it via Uber Eats. The second time I ordered via Uber Eats, I placed my order an hour and a half before they closed. I looked down at my phone 20 minutes later and they had canceled my order out of the blue. I don't truly understand because the restaurant was open.

Yelp
Great service from Cordero, the food came out in a timely manner even while they're busy, and although they were busy it doesn't get very loud and conversations don't get drowned out by the ambient music.

Yelp
Ambiance is great and so is the food. Always have a good time there, especially at the bar area.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around 7 and was able to get a table within 20 mins or so. Services was prompt and cordial. Had the calamari as an appetizer and salmon and rotisserie chicken salad as entrees. The windows were open and the weather was perfect to experience a great dinner. I wish the calamari came with lemons. The salad was a large portion, so only ate half and the other half out it in a to go box. Salmos can be done medium or medium well and came with smashed potatoes and spinach

Yelp
Food is consistently good! The service is marginal at best. Waiter didn't introduce herself, neither warm or courteous. The person who brought the condiments just placed them on the table without any description and walked away. The service felt like were tolerated as opposed to being hosted.

Yelp
My colleagues and I visited Copper Canyon during lunchtime, expecting to enjoy one of the best restaurants in Downtown Silver Spring, MD. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by our experience. Despite only three other tables being occupied, our waitress, Carrie C, provided poor service. She took our orders and drink requests, but never returned to check on us. One of my colleagues had to ask the host for refills and to order dessert, we had to grab silverware from another table because our waitress was not attentive. Throughout the meal, she did not ask how our food was or if we needed anything. We didn't see her at all to be honest. It is like she disappeared from her duties all together. Considering the caliber of the restaurant, we expected better service than what we received. While the food was great, our experience was poor from our waitress. If I return to Copper Canyon, I will request a different server than Carrie C. Waiters are supposed to serve, check and supply good customer service. She didn't even smile when she came to our table to take our order or to give us our check that we had to ask the guy at the bar to get for us. It's Almost like she did NOT want to be there or we were bothering her. With that type of behavior she needs to get a job at Red lobster or TGI Fridays.

Yelp
I enjoyed the vibes, bartenders where very attentive but not too in your face. Fairly packed but they didn't miss a beep even in a shift change. I had the rattlesnake pasta, my friend had a burger and fries, both dishes were filling and delicious. I'll definitely be returning. P.S. There is a free parking garage and the walk is not bad at all. Management: The seats we were in the light above was out but it was no problem, just FYI.

Yelp
Great food and desserts. Key lime pie the best! Little pricey but don't mind paying for great food.

Yelp
I define Two Starts as "Unhappy/Resistant About Going Again." The Food-Price ratio is bad, you don't get the quality for the prices they are charging. The ribs were stale and dry. Fries were not special. Green beans were cooked well, but not seasoned. Old fashioned was amazing, the margarita was terrible. Shocking how bad the second drink was. Server was rushing us during the whole service.
