"Copper Common, a new American wine bar and restaurant located in the heart of downtown, combines natural wines, craft cocktails, and local beers with a rotating, inventive menu. Part of the CO Hospitality group alongside neighboring Copper Onion, Copper Common serves globetrotting plates such as lamb merguez meatballs with cashew chutney and za’atar flatbread, salmon crudo with aji amarillo crema, and a pear and halloumi salad with yuzu-ginger dressing and pistachio dukkah. Thoughtful creativity shines in every dish thanks to chef Ryan Lowder, whose experience includes working with the renowned Jean-Georges Vongerichten." - Sarah Entwistle

We came on a very busy Friday night and were very quickly sat at the chefs counter. The ability to watch as the chefs did their art was fascinating and entertaining all in one! Our server Elissa was so sweet and wonderful! I had dropped a glob of butter on my shirt and she saved the day by bringing me a little cup of salt and told me a trick to get oil out of my shirt! She was so so great and attentive. Our food was delicious! We got the meatloaf and the burger. Both meals left us speechless! 10/10 would recommend and we will DEFINITELY be back!

This is a casual restaurant close to the convention center with modern American fare. If you like craft cocktails, this is the place for you. They have a super interesting list of their own, very creative, cocktails. One example: the buttered bee's knees. It is made with the locally made Beehive barrel-aged gin, butter (yes), honey, and lemon. This version is better than any classic bee's knees cocktail I have ever had. The others on the list are equally creative and excellent! And of course, they do classic cocktails as well. We shared two starters: the smashed potatoes with fry dip and the smoked trout dip topped with pastrami flavor spices. The dip itself was very good, but to my taste the topping of spices overwhelmed the fish. The smashed potatoes were super- crispy, very hot, and nice. The dipping sauce was okay but not my favorite taste profile. I had the lamb merguez meatballs served with labneh and flatbread. They had a lovely taste, but were a bit dense and heavy. The salmon, however, was exquisite. Perfectly cooked, and the couscous and ramp habanero cream were great with it. The bucatini was also very good. We had the rhubarb cobbler, topped with their house made vanilla soft serve, which was delicious. The blondie sundae also was declared yummy. All in all, we had a lovely meal and great service in a casual relaxed restaurant. I recommend this place. Its location is great, being so close to the convention center.

During my visits to Salt Lake City, I had the pleasure of dining here twice. The food was exceptionally well-prepared. The cocktails were crafted with great attention to detail. I would highly recommend trying the oysters and sundaes.

Google
Good food and good service. While their CC Burger won’t win any awards, it is a very solid cheeseburger. Wednesday is half-priced burger night, so $6 instead of $12. Their Number Eleven cocktail is very good and worth a try. I’ll have to come back and try more of their menu.

Google
The wine here is delicious, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and romantic with great decor. I really liked the pesto and the cobbler, both full of flavor and beautifully done. The sourdough bread was another highlight. Vegetarians should know that the menu is a bit limited. The asparagus dish, for example, includes meat and isn’t a vegetarian option, which was a little disappointing. That said, the waitress was knowledgeable about the drinks and made a perfect recommendation for my friend, who absolutely loved her cocktail. It’s a lovely place to relax with a good drink and enjoy a few thoughtful dishes.

Visited on a Friday night with a reservation. Seated immediately and not at the high tops with bar stools, thank God. (Previously ate here and sat at a high top, to me it’s just not enjoyable if I’m doing anything but a cocktail) Our server was excellent and the food was lovely, we took our time and never felt rushed. Cocktails were good and as strong as Utah will allow lol, s/o state legislature :/ Oysters tasted fresh and dessert was lovely. I’d definitely dine here again, I do think they should rethink the high tops for dinner patrons but that’s probably just personal preference. Great place to start your night out, with a full bar and reasonably priced bites.

Google
All the bartenders had tiny itty bitty hands when I went. I was like “what the heck?!” Why is it that everyone’s hands are so small. There’s gotta be a reason to it. Anyway, oysters were yum. (Update 2/1/2025) I received a quantity of oysters from a very friendly member of the staff of this tavern and noticed that she had perfectly symmetrical and robust hands, breaming with vitality. Very capable of shaking beverages with adequate rhythm and ferocity. Service was 10/10. Would recommend to a friend. (Update 12/15/2025) I recently visited and noticed that a few of the beefier bartenders had large muscular hands. Very capable of shaking multiple cocktails and perhaps even fighting my step dad. Oysters on par with previous visit.

I came here with my spouse for dinner on a Friday evening. We made a reservation since it is a smaller place. Our waitress was very helpful and got to us very fast. She gave us a really good recommendations. We ordered oysters, focaccia bread, the lamb meat balls, the miso pasta, and the cookie butter sundae. Everything was tasted and looked amazing. The oysters were very yummy! Definitely worth it!

Yelp
Cocktails on point Bartender Jay was superb. We went in for one cocktail, the Heirloom 24. We ended up staying and ordering three cocktails, all 10/10. Halloween decor well balanced. Will return.

Yelp
Visiting SLC for work I walked over and had dinner at Copper Common. 20 min wait, so I wandered over to the State liquor store and bought two cans of beer for later at my hotel. I brought the two cans of beer - which were in a bag - with me into the restaurant. And that's where the trouble began... A server who showed up to deliver the wrong plate to the table and asked what was in the bag. I answered, "two cans of beer." The server took the bag. When I was leaving the restaurant the server gave me the bag of two beers back, hiding them like it was an illegal drug drop. So weird. Had a fine meal and a tasty craft cocktail. I'd definitely go again, but definitely not bring a bag in with me.

Yelp
We ended up here while waiting for our table at Copper Onion. Originally we came for cocktails, but ended up getting some food too. The bar area was pretty packed, but four of us squished in to a little rail along the window and a little seating area around a pillar near eachother. I had an old fashioned which was good as did two of my friends and the other had a martini. I was trying to save my appetite for dinner, so I just had a couple bites of two of the dishes. We had the Burrata plate which was Burrata with roasted squash, a Moroccan chermoulah sauce, and a dukkah topping. The creaminess of the Burrata with the crunch of the dukkah was interesting. We also had the polenta cakes which was 4 cakes served with a whipped ricotta and a piquillo pepper sauce. The polenta was good as well the outside crisp and golden brown. There was also a shaved veggie salad. Definitely a more dark and brooding hipster vibe than their sister restaurant nextdoor. Would definitely return for a drink or a snack.

Yelp
One of my favorite downtown slc spots. The menu has great food, a range of cocktails and natural & orange wines. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, while also being lively and energetic. It's a relatively small space with a bar so it fills with people and energy quickly, but you can easily hear the conversation at your table. Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Where you want to be somewhere fun and slightly elevated. The focaccia and salmon crudo were delicious. Others in my group loved their burgers. I had the mushroom miso pasta was was delicious, a great texture, but a little heavy/rich and surprisingly filling. If I could add one thing to the menu it would be one more non-red-meat larger plate and my only complaint is that I wish they would use different glasses for the wine! I understand wanting something with a character and a more rustic feel but I think the short little bar glasses take away from enjoying the wine.

Yelp
Great little bar, to stop in for a drink, appetizer or light meal. The esthetics and vibe of Copper Common is similar to what you find in many larger cities, the likes of NYC and Chicago. This is a well needed establishment in SLC. With a great music selection, dimmed lighting and higher end decor... it makes for a great date night or place to entertain guest. We tried their CC Burger and Braised Pork Sandwich. The burger is truly underwhelming to look at, but the flavor and freshness is fantastic and leaves you satisfied and happy with the selection you made. The braised pork was a little dry, but was really tasty. The smashed potatoes that came with both plates are really good and complement the meals perfectly. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back.

Kailee W.

Yelp
We got the CC burger with smashed potatoes that were so good. Loved the ambiance, especially for Christmas!

Kathee C.

Yelp
I love this place. It is small and quite cozy with muted lighting and nice jazz background music. We arrived right when they opened and were able to have the place to ourselves for a bit. The service was attentive and kind. My husband ordered the braised pork sandwich and I had their signature burger. They were both excellent. I played mocktail roulette and the bartender made me a yummy cocktail. I ordered the winter sundae which had vanilla soft serve, brown sugar oat crumble and chai spiced pear jam because I am a sucker for anything chai and it was so good.

Patrick J.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Copper Common! It did not disappoint. The environment was great! Loved the vibe, the decor, and the music. Great place. The food was very affordable and delicious! Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and love him!

Shannon D.

Yelp
Our first time here and it was wonderful!! Brunch on Sunday at 10:30. $4 mimosa and an oyster shot with a little cocktail. We got the crab beignets for an appetizer, so good! And then I got the simple breakfast with their homemade focaccia bread, and my husband got the chicken and waffles. We love lamb, and their lamb sausage is was lured us here to begin with. Everything was amazing. The servers were very friendly and took care of all our needs. We like the feel of the restaurant, and that only 21+ are allowed. Kids are great but it's much more enjoyable without screaming little ones all around. I would bring a sweater in case you get chilly under the AC vents. But I prefer to be cool so was comfortable.

Vida A.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a while and it was truly five stars from talking to Will on the phone making my reservation to splitting the check. The menu is delicious. We started with focaccia bread that comes out with this amazing butter! Yum! Then the smashed potatoes and the pork Milanese for dinner. The pork was huge and crispy. The salad on top with the roasted tomatoes and white sauce made is so flavorful adding a little acidic to what could almost be too dry pork. But it was not. The potatoes were also crispy but soft in the middle. The sauce it came out with reminded me of a fry sauce but not so tangy which I liked. Our server was great and always checked in without being annoying. Timing on the pork was a little delayed as I had to inquire about it but it shortly came out. Not enough to dock any stars. Besides that timing was perfect and we enjoyed our dinner on the patio. Parking is difficult but we walked so it was easy. Can't wait to come try more of the menu!

Jono M.

Yelp
I enjoyed a stellar brunch on Copper Common's inviting patio, just off of Broadway in downtown Salt Lake City. It was my first time having shakshouka, but it was delicious and it alongside the burger were perfect to share with a friend. The cocktails we got to try were refreshing and perfect for a midday meal. Shout out to their staff member Saige for always providing a thoughtful and personalized experience.

Yelp
Originally, my friends and I tried to walk in for dinner at the Copper Onion (5 p.m. on a Friday) but it was too packed! The host suggested we try their sister restaurant, Copper Common. We were greeted warmly and seated at a pub-height table facing the window. Our server was really fantastic and knew a lot about the specials of the day, and even the varietal of grapes on the featured wine (and how they were grown at a 400 year old vineyard!) We ordered the burger, lamb meatballs, miso mushroom pasta and a side salad. The pasta was definitely the standout of the bunch. The salad was forgotten and arrived later, but was taken off the bill. I'd still like to try Copper Onion on my next trip!

Jasmine C.

Yelp
We came here on a whim and absolutely loved it. I'm always looking for a place to go with my friends where we can hangout and eat good food. It was a great ambiance and the servers were so nice and helpful. I think the menu changes often and they have daily specials so it's a cool place to stop in. We ended up sharing a lot of dishes and it was great because we tried many things. My only pushback is that some of it can be a little salty. I would go back tho and just be cognizant of what I'm getting.

Emily L.

Yelp
This place is nice inside bathrooms are clean. Other than that, I didn't have an outstanding time server look like she wanted to go home so that she wasn't able to do a green tea shot or a cider made a little questionable of what type of bar this was. Very nice interior. I guess look at the menu before you come kind of a waste of time for her to get us waters to find out. We didn't really wanna drink what they served.

Rayce V.

Yelp
Best old fashioned I've had! This is a really nice late night bite/cocktail place and has a super cozy interior. The bar is super sophisticated looking and it really makes you feel like you've gone back in time to a prohibition era speakeasy/cocktail bar. I'd definitely recommend this place for date-night cocktails. Can't speak on the food, but looking forward to trying something next time.

Michael C.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of the Cooper Onion: it's where I take visitors and host business dinners. The Common has a delicious if more limited menu and the service is excellent. We had really great bartenders who indulged us bringing in my homemade queso and getting us some chips and even tasting it with us. Terrific burger, great drinks and a convivial atmosphere make this a great place to stop before dinner at CO or just have drinks and snacks with friends before a concert or game.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Wonderful food and casual yet elegant space. I enjoy this restaurant. The service was great, and everyone was super nice.

Lexy E.

Yelp
We loved it here! We came in at the hostess suggestion at Copper Onion while we waited for a table. Ambiance is awesome, service, apps, and drinks were all really good!

Linda C.

Yelp
We go there literally every time we're in SLC. Great cocktails and a couple of vegan choices on the menu. Wonderful staff as well, highly recommend!

Sara C.

Yelp
We were at the same time we went to the copper onion. This is the Sister bar to the restaurant and it was a fantastic experience again Spencer was our bartender and I wouldn't have changed anything about my experience. I mean their bathrooms are kind of gross but that's about it!

Marilyn T.

Yelp
We got to Copper Onion a little early for our reservation, so we came here for some drinks first. We were not expecting a legit bar next door, and they have a pretty substantial food menu, too. - Cheeseburger in paradise: a rum based tiki drink with sherry, falernum, banana. I still can't figure out why it's called a cheeseburger - Hiking boot: bourbon based, with citrus and honey Their cocktail menu changes periodically, which is nice. The bartenders were great. The copper shakers and trays are a nice nod to their name!

Heather C.

Yelp
I would go back to Copper Common a million times over again. It truly is an incredible place. A really good friend of mine decided to take me here and I was so impressed with everything. First of all, it is beautiful weather so we sat outside and the weather was perfect. We could've sat inside but why would we? It was so nice out! I am not gonna lie, the one thing I despised was their menu. It is so hard to read. It is just a million words clustered together on a sheet of paper. No variations of fonts, sizes or colors. Just boom, a bunch of words for you to desciper like you're Nicholas Cage and need to steal the declaration of independence. The menu items however? *chef's kiss* We started off with shishitos, which tasted as amazing as they smelled. They were so full of flavor as it is, but the sauce made theme even better. They were INCREDIBLE! I am still thinking about them and my mouth is watering as we speak. They are a MUST-HAVE! From there, we also got the smashed potatoes and man oh man. These were also SO YUMMY! I loved the texture with them. They were cooked perfectly; an awesome combination of crispy and soft. The sauce that came with them was also to die for. It had great flavor. After that, we tried the Beer Cheese crudite and toasted sourdough. The beer cheese was amazing and the sourdough tasted like it was baked right before it was given to me! I absolutely loved it. For dessert, I chose the banana pudding and it was also so yummy. It was creamy and I loved the nilla wafers that came with it. I have been here multiple times since then and still love it every time. I have found something I don't like: their moose. I don't like pistachios and the flavor of it is just a bit off. I love everything else though and this is not the meese's fault at all. The service is always phenomenal and I even was able to find a wine that I like (which is extremely rare!). All in all, Copper Common is a MUST TRY! I live in Lehi and it does cost a bit of a pretty penny so this isn't a place I can be a regular at but I will always keep it in mind and I hope I can visit it again sometime soon!

Andrea G.

Yelp
Fabulous drinks and food with friends! My cocktail was so delicious and different, but can't remember the name. Maybe Sagittarius? We had the fried green tomatoes BLT and YUM!! Wish I had pictures!

Janet C.

Yelp
We have been steady customers of this bar for many years. While having dinner and cocktails with important clients we had an incident that will prevent us from ever going there again or recommending it to any of our friends. When we went to leave the manager stopped us and told us the server had been offended by something that was said We were shocked and asked what it was and he would not tell us other than it was inappropriate and she was very offended. We asked to speak with the server so we could get it cleared up and the manager refused. Needless to say we did not sleep well and tried to get more information the next day and we're told things that were supposedly said that we never had any part of.

Kristin K.

Yelp
Overpriced tourist trap. But the service was excellent. We at practically the entire menu. The ONLY great thing was the miso mushroom pasta. But it was like $26. For a tiny amount. But still, delicious. Everything else was ridiculously overpriced and very meh. The biggest offender was the "banana pudding" which was not pudding AT ALL. It was liquid cream with a couple banana slices and was pretty awful.

Andrea P.

Yelp
I'm genuinely shocked by the three and a half star rating from the Yelp community because I've been to Copper Common several times and have had nothing but excellent and consistent experiences. Copper Common is an excellent choice if you're looking for a tapas-style restaurant with quality drinks. If you're looking for entrees, this probably isn't the right place, but I absolutely love coming here because it's really fun to sample and share different dishes. It's the perfect place for a shared experience. The interior is immaculate and I also love sitting outside on their patio which is full of lovely flowers. The service is very attentive, thoughtful, patient, and knowledgable. The staff, specifically Austin has always given impeccable recommendations and excellent service. Their wine on tap is some of the best wine I've ever had and I also love how the bartenders explain the nuances between each blend. These are true chefs, their food is flavorful and top quality rivaling some of the best in Salt Lake City. They're consistent and their dishes are always plated beautifully. Their menu is thoughtful, unique, and I've always had wonderful experiences. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection with interesting but awesome combination and I genuinely couldn't be happier with any of my experiences here. Highly recommend, this is one of my go-to places.

Sue P.

Yelp
This place has all the good food that you can find at copper kitchen ... in a small casual bar. We had a wonderful meal while chatting with the bartender. The service was spectacular.

Michael Z.

Yelp
This was my first time in SLC and I stumbled upon this place for brunch. It is very stylish inside with friendly staff. I had the eggs benedict and potatoes, which were AMAZING! They also had homemade hot sauce that was very good. I would definitely come back to Copper Common when in SLC again.

M. P.

Yelp
I can't speak highly enough about this cocktail menu. The bartender Tim makes amazing unique cocktails and the food is very good too.

Eva C.

Yelp
We went with a group and got to try many dishes. We had roasted cauliflower, shrimp cocktail, 24 month prosciutto San Daniele, pork giblet , shishito peppers, pickled vegetables, chef's cut steak with romesco cauliflower, roasted mushroom toast, and white anchovies boquerones. Everything taste great! We definitely appreciate the creative elements that elevate the dishes. It certainly lived up to its reputation. The absolute standout dishes are: roasted cauliflower, the romesco cauliflower, the pork giblet, shrimp cocktail. For dessert, the chocolate mouse and soft serve are great! We would only note that the tall glasses that the desserts are served in makes them a bit difficult to share in a group, especially in the day and age of COVID.

Martha N.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was inventive and beautifully balanced in textures and flavors. The service delivered by Sage was flawless. The blot on the dining for us was the very loud music. We had a couple of the Sunday specials: A chicken liver mousse with savory fruit jam served with brown butter toast points, the fried oyster rolls and the CC burger. All were a feast for the taste buds and the eyes. At one point we asked Sage if the music could be turned down a little - and maybe it was, but not enough to make conversation easily. We are old, and this is a real issue for us. We'd love to return for the food, drinks and service but we'll think twice about it. As a matter of fact, as we were leaving a party of six or seven came in, were being shown to a table but turned right around and left because they found the music unbearably loud as they put it as we all left the restaurant. I guess it's up to Copper Common to decide which clientele they want to attract.

Brittany B.

Yelp
Brunch was a big miss. I got the burger, it was plain, lacked flavor and was served with hash browns. The fried chicken salad lacked any kind of seasoning and missed the mark as well.

Teresa P.

Yelp
I am new to the area so I didn't realize this is "the bar" for Copper onion! I love this place...must be 12+ years or older to come in. It is a chill and relaxing place. We ended up checking out this place because we were waiting for our table next door (Copper Onion Resto). Coming from California, I thought that their menu had a "happy hour" selection. Ha! Not in SLC. But, the prices were affordable...just like happy hour prices in Cali!!! We ordered 2 of their local draft beers both 16 oz and were only $5 ea. It was a steal! Not bad. Then, we ordered their house cut fries for $6 which were perfectly cooked, crispy and yummy. Perfect match for our beers. Too bad we couldn't order and try their other dishes because we have already plans to eat next door. Definitely a place to have a drink, chill, and unwind.

Nick S.

Yelp
This place is a gem! The cocktail and liquor menu is outstanding and the food is amazing. And I do mean amazing. The star of our evening by far was our server Ray. A lovely person who was so knowledgeable and accommodating that my party all agreed was the star of this very great experience. If you can, spend some time at this place exploring the wines and excellent food. But more importantly the service is what's gonna bring us back. Thanks again Ray!

M Z.

Yelp
I'm surprised to see this place doesn't have a combined rating over 4 stars?!?! The service and food were absolutely stellar (thank you Angel!). The highlight for me, oddly enough, was a very simple yet superb shaved salad with homemade Green Goddess dressing. The polenta cakes and meat entree were amazing. They also have a solid cocktail and wine menu (try the chilled red). You can easily make a meal out of their Happy Hour offerings. No complaints about the pricing considering that I'm from Washington, DC, where a meal of this quality would have easily been double what we ended up paying.

Michelle B.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our night here. It was low key and a relaxed bar setting. The service was a little slow which is the only reason for four stars. The burger was DELICIOUS and we also got the Cuban. The Cuban was very good too, but very garlicky so be prepared for that.

S B.

Yelp
Stopped in on my last night in SLC. Scooped up a spot at the bar and had dinner. Had the fettuccine pasta. What was cool about it was there is an egg on top so when you first put your fork in the yoke starts running all over the inside of the bowl. It was super good... Oh, and it also has bacon... so, yeah, get that. I ordered some olives as the appetizer.... They were so-so.... A bit too much oil on them for my taste, but you do you. The staff was super friendly and gave me the lay of the land and helped with beer selection and had an overall friendly demeanor. The dessert: Chocolate Pudding. It had sea salt and whipped cream... delicious I would go back, no doubt.

May Y.

Yelp
Having been a huge fan of Copper Onion, I was excited to grab a quick bite at Copper Common. I love the overall decor of the bar, but I wish the tables were slightly further apart. The atmosphere is good for SLC standard. While Copper Common serves some of Copper Onion's popular dishes like arugula salad, it also has unique dishes like deviled eggs and Szechuan cucumber. The major downfall is the service - although the waitress is knowledgeable of the food and drink menus, she is quite cold. Overall, Copper Common is a great place to stop by for drinks and small bites.

Lindsay D.

Yelp
This place used to be one of my favorite spots but after tonight I will probably never come back unless it's just for a beer. They completely changed the menu and got rid of their best item, the pizza. Literally 5 of the menu items are essentially toast. We opted for the burger which in the past was great and was served with very good fries. The burger we got today looked exactly like a mcdouble and that is being generous. Literally meat cheese bun and it looked like it was sat on. The burger is also not served with fries and i guess they don't even make fries now. Since there are no fries we ordered the smashed potatoes and they came out after way after we had all finished our burgers and didn't even want them anymore. Also they have 0 ketchup. Beyond a downgrade in terms of the new menu and food. If you're looking to just get a $15 cocktail this is the place for you.

Haley B.

Yelp
I used to love this place! It was the best spot for cocktails and apps, a burger if you were hungry. They "revamped" their menu recently and everything has genuinely downgraded. Medium-high priced food with frankly low-quality, small portions, and no included sides. The drinks are still good, but I won't be getting food here any more.

Shannon H.

Yelp
Met friends for drinks and snacks before hitting the Salt Lake City Gallery Stroll (every 3rd Friday, except 1st Friday in December, from 6-9pm) together. Menu choices aren't as vast as the Copper Onion, but it's handy that the food comes from the same place so you know you're getting higher quality food than typical bar food. The charcuterie platter is a great pairing with drinks and easy to share among friends. It comes with pickles, so we shouldn't have ordered a separate side of them (plus the burger comes with two; pickle overload). My burger was juicy with duck fat but disappointing with a slivered lettuce (couldn't tell there was lettuce; wish it was leaf). Thought the deviled eggs tasted like I make at home (traditional recipe) but with excess salt chunks (gave it a strange texture to something that's usually smooth). Restrooms are gender neutral and roomy.

Sana J.

Yelp
I had a great experience at Copper Common! All of the dishes we ate were delicious. The only reason I rated it a 4-star is because parking is quite difficult in the downtown area and because their food menu is a bit small. There weren't many options to choose from. I had a great time sitting outside on their patio! I would definitely go back again soon.

Julia T.

Yelp
The ambiance is cool, but the new menu was all tapas/small plates. We went in not realizing they no longer had their old menu with some full size options. We ordered a couple small plates. The food was decent, but it wasn't quite enough for dinner despite prices that should've been for an actual meal. Almost a hundred bucks later we'd had a total of three drinks and two small plates and left still feeling hungry. Also- I don't know why serving room temperature water is a thing here. We're in America- I shouldn't have to ask for ice repeatedly then re-pour my water over it.

B M.

Yelp
Copper Common has a cool atmosphere but VERY tightly spaced tables and fairly friendly staff. Was a bit disappointed to find an abbreviated menu vs what they show on yelp. Not many choices. Service was friendly but not very quick. Ordered a local 5% beer from the very limited (5 total) beer selection. We were going to start with the cauliflower but the table (literally 6 inches away from us reported it as bland) so went with a burger and the fried chicken. Since both are served ala carte we also got the smashed potatoes. The burger looks like one you got in middle school with horrific presentation that was almost laughable. Tiny burger on a plate with no greens etc. should have snapped a pic. Taste also on par with middle school burger. The fried chicken was mediocre in taste and size. The smashed potatoes ( a misnomer as they are cubes) were decent. This was one of the most basic and disappointing meals we have had in SLC. Won't be back.

Taylor T.

Yelp
We went out last night for our anniversary and were originally going to the Copper Onion. We decided to grab a drink here and after feeling the vibe, seeing the menu, we decided to stay! We ordered the mozzarella sticks, burger with fries and the pepperoni pizza. Sounds like typical bar food but it wasn't . Everything was delicious and I will definitely eat there again. The bartender made a special requested drink for my husband and I got the ___ potion drink. Both were great!

Yelp
Had the fish and chips and it was amazing, piping hot, crispy, ambiance was nice staff was friendly, food came out fast and it was very reasonably priced. Great cocktails and appetizers. I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Like other reviews have mentioned, I've had the burger here a couple of times, it was always incredible. But in the last few months they must have changed the menu. My party ordered the same things we always get and they all came out completely different, and to be honest, worse than before. Still a great cocktail spot, but skip the food, it's gone downhill.

Yelp
I had eaten before at Copper Common in the past but when I ate there last week I noticed they had completely renovated the place, and they had a totally new menu. I really like the food before, but their new menu is really a big step up. There were four of us and we ordered 10 different dishes and every single one of them was delicious. They do a shrimp cocktail there instead of using a red sauce they use a sauce with a Dijon mustard base, it was so incredibly good that we ordered two more orders. The sister restaurant copper onion it's also really good and always totally packed, I have no idea why Copper Common isn't also always packed. It's definitely one of the best restaurants in Salt Lake City.

Yelp
I think this bar is connected with Copper Onion. It is just right next door. The atmosphere is quite similar. We went straight here after our dinner at Copper Onion. Took a look at the food menu and was instantly disappointed that we didn't decide to eat here instead. The menu looked promising. It's a cute small bar with not much lighting. Very dim and intimate. It had a outside patio. We decided to seat ourselves outside. It was a nice temperature out and decided to take advantage if it. Specialty cocktails were reasonably priced. They made me a special drink kind of like a Moscow mule made with bourbon. It was really good. the beau got a drink called The Fourth Regiment. It was pretty strong. Probably the strongest drink I've tried in Salt Lake City. But it came in a pretty small glass. Overall a pretty chill bar for a very chill night.
