What a gem of a restaurant. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but they happily sat us at the bar whilst we waited for the rest of our party. Bar service was on point - excellent Gold Rush.
When our friends arrived we moved to our table. Service was on point. The server took our drink order, and then left us to chat for a bit. When she came back to take our order, we had not even looked at the menu, and she told us to take our time.
We ordered a few share plates. The brussel sprouts were delicious, as was the cauliflower and turnips. I had planned to order the schnitzel, but after those apps, I had to go with the butternut squash soup, which was delicious. Hubs ordered the crabcakes - they were not as we expected. Coming from Savannah we are used to chunks of crab in the crabcakes. Hubs said they were tasty, and particularly like the chow chow was excellent.
Our dining companions both had the burger (the one with the two patties), which they said was excellent (they are regulars).
I really really wanted the flan for dessert but just could not fit it in!
Atmosphere is excellent, food is on point, price is reasonable. Copper Crown is now on our list of fave restaurants. Sadly no pictures as we were so busy talking that by the time I thought of it, plates were scraped clean!
