Google
Denver based, woman owned coffee shop. The place itself is tiny inside, a few spots to sit and work on your laptop. Coffee was tasty! Food and pastry options were pretty sad though. I bought the last pastry they had, it was soggy and you could tell it had been frozen and recently defrosted (in fact that’s what the employee told me 🙊). My friend ordered a burrito that they heated up in the microwave. I’d go again for the coffee.

Coffee was pretty good but the staff was very unapproachable and quite rude. Asked for a coffee recommendation and the barista straight up told me no. Disappointing that the bad service took away from the coffee which was actually very yummy.

I was really looking forward to going here to grab coffee and a snack between appointments every Wednesday. I was excited to support a woman-owned, sustainable local store. Unfortunately, the coffee was lukewarm and the croissant, while delicious, was very stale and the barista didn't offer to warm it up. I'll try again next week. Edit - Returned for another chance. Sadly, the coffee was lukewarm again, the muffin (which the barista forgot to give to me) was over baked, dry, and stale. Small coffee + muffin + tip = over 12.00.

We’ve been here twice now and the atmosphere is really hostile. I’ve only seen one barista working each time, and the place wasn’t busy. The drip coffee we were served was not hot and the barista asked so coldly what else we’d want, not offering to brew a new batch. There was never empathy or apology for serving us cold coffee. It’s just odd, as if we were an inconvenience to be ordering in general. We do not like espresso/milk bevs, so she did agree to make us pour overs (which seemed more complicated), but the attitude towards us was just so uninviting for a coffee shop. It’s disappointing, we likely will not return.

Google
Really laid back atmosphere. Friendly staff. Tasty coffee and tea options. Dairy and Gluten free options. Highly recommend 👌

Google
Great spot to enjoy a delicious, hot cup of coffee and a great conversation with a friend or mentee. The seating outdoors under the trees is a perfect place to read a book while drinking a cup of coffee. There is a sweet older gentleman that hands out "Love" cards and tells you, "you are special and loved." Great spot to workk on email decluttering or people watching. Great friendly staff greets you when you walk in to order and they try to accommodate everyone's hot beverage request with high efficiency.

Google
Service was awesome. Coffee tasted weird, but barista was quick to offer a replacement. Baked good was very good. Nice and quaint for a quick drink before going to air and space museum. Excellent latte art, too.

Google
This was the BEST almond milk latte I have ever had. Seems like there is a miscommunication regarding what time is opens compared to what Google says. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes Saturday morning and it was lovely. Completely worth the wait, the barista (perhaps owner?)said it was the best almond milk art he had done. The art was a beautiful touch to no lie the most frothy, delicious latte I've ever had. They make their own flavored syrups and the barista helped me decide on the level of sweetness I was looking for. 5/5 best latte ever.

Yelp
What a lovely little coffee shop in the area. I had a few hours to kill before meeting up with friends so I stopped by. Parking can be difficult because it's in the same plaza as the beer garden. There are lots of outdoor seating. Indoor seating can be quite limited because it is a small cafe. However, I love the interior and the vibes of the shop. It feels quite cozy. The music isn't super loud where you can't concentrate. The employees are super friendly and welcoming. Service was quick. It's quite lovely. The matcha latte with the oat milk was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet nor was it bland. You can taste the matcha but it's not too bitter. It was a great drink during the hot summer days.

Yelp
Picked up a few seasonal drinks - an iced mint mocha and a hot almond latte. Both were brewed well and service was quick. Didn't love the almond flavor/syrup in my latte, so I'll probably try out w different flavor the next time around. My husband enjoyed (and quickly slurped down) his mocha. Lovely open and bright space.

Yelp
Delicious coffee! First time here and my boyfriend and I got an iced vanilla latte and a seasonal iced brown sugar latte. 10/10. Doesn't taste artificial, the milk to coffee ratio is perfect, and the texture is creamy. We paid about 14 for two 16 oz lattes

Yelp
I walked in with my father in law and waited a good 5 minutes before I kindly said excuse me hoping to get someone's attention in the back. An employee came out and said I'm on my lunch and someone is talking to the boss. She was not pleased to be missing her lunch and showed that the entire time we were in the shop. If you weren't going to have someone available for a bit, put a sign on the counter! I ordered a strawberry iced matcha off their special menu and when she rang it up it said matcha then salted caramel. I said excuse me I ordered a strawberry matcha. She not so kindly said I know but we don't have a strawberry button. MY FIL then ordered 2 coffees and asked about what type of creamers they had when she asked if he wanted room for cream. Her response "I don't know man, it's just a creamer." We got our drinks and left. My husband went in and got his order since he had stayed outside with our little one and thankfully had a much better experience as it must have been one of the other workers or "the boss." My matcha was great but had zero strawberry. Bummer because I was excited to try something different.

Yelp
// Summary Quaint coffee shop with a decent cup of coffee, great for hanging out or a grab-and-go. // Experience Per my usual, I ordered a pourover. They do have your standard espresso-based drinks and batch brewed coffee in addition to some of the "specialty" flavors that may pique your interest. The pourover was fine - I feel as if Copper Door roasts aren't particularly interesting to me, so there's that. // Service The barista was nice and friendly. He was the only one on shift, and handled a "mini-rush" pretty well by himself with kindness and efficiency. // Ambiance It's a small shop with limited amount of tables inside and a couple of tables outside. Doesn't seem the best for working, but it's not too bad to hang out with a friend or two, or if you'd like to chill and do some reading. // Convenience It's in the same plaza as the hangars, so there's plenty of parking available. There aren't many coffee shops this side of town, so it's a nice addition to distribute decent coffee around the area.

Yelp
Even if this coffee shop wasn't located next to the Botanic Gardens, I would still seek them out because they know their coffee and honestly, it's just such a beautiful space whether you go to the gardens or not. If I was still single, this would be the perfect "first date" kind of place if you want to seem classy but not yet sure how much you want to invest in a second date. If it goes well, suggest a romantic stroll through the gardens. If it doesn't go well...just GTFO. I also have a special place in my heart for Copper Door Coffee Roasters because they graciously stayed open to accommodate our event for Blossoms of Light. It can be tough to organize a networking event without paying the exorbitant room fees for the botanical gardens, especially if you only have 20 people and an hour for networking. The ambiance, drinks and the staff were amazing for our Therapist Appreciation Night which we hosted in conjunction with Corporate Sponsor's night. I'm thinking of planning more get together here just because the space is so welcoming. Also, do not miss the spicy chai! I know coffee is their jam but the chai is amazing.

Karen S.

Yelp
I highly recommend this little coffee shop. They have a great menu with seasonal drinks and gluten free, vegan syrups. They have tasty burritos too, but I'd love to see some allergy friendly bakery items. I love any place that loves plants! The coffee shop itself is snug and cosy, with limited seating, but there is lots of seating available outside.

Yelp
excellent service Hayden was very helpful makes a screaming red eye ! The service was excellent and was served in a timely manner

AJ V.

Yelp
Cool vibe, definitely a smaller workspace inside but would be perfect on a nice day to work outdoors. Some of their items on the menu board they no longer offer (like the Aeropress and French press) and if there's one person working there, it might take a while for you to get a pour over. Overall though, it was a nice place and plan to go back to try their pour over when they're not busy. It's great to support a woman-owned business!

Jake H.

Yelp
It was ok coffee, but you could tell they didn't really love coffee. Idk why it has such high reviews, it's pretty mediocre at best but not bad.

Chris P.

Yelp
Coffee is ok, which sucks because the service is crazy slow. Over 30 minutes between walking in and getting my coffee. 2 small coffees and 1 pastry is $20 after tip..patio is small, but nice

Dan S.

Yelp
Fantastic vibe, plenty of space to stretch out and relax/read. I only give 3 stars because I orders a pumpkin latte and after I paid for it I was told they were out of espresso. The exact same thing happened the another customer as I was in the restaurant. This is an unacceptable business practice. Gouging customers for espresso KNOWING you don't have it. I wish I gave them hell like the customer behind me did. Lucky for me the brewery across the street (Long Table) was amazing!!!

Rambezz U.

Yelp
Guy was nice went in to try something new and have a business meeting. Place is tiny they don't roast on site we found out which was a touch disappointing. Got the cold brew and it was sour and if you know anything about coffee sour cold brew is terrible. Batch just tasted old and not worth it. Would not recommend the cold brew thats for sure.

Yelp
Copper Door Coffee Roasters has fast become a favorite coffee shop of mine. Why you ask?! Well let's talk about it! Star #1 - The space is very sweet and welcoming. Albeit a little on the small side; they make the most of what they have. Star #2 - The baristas are always very friendly! They promptly greet you and ensure they get your order to you quickly. Yay! Star #3 - They offer a small selection of eats including pastries, burritos, and salads. So if you don't feel like venturing out for lunch; they've got you covered! Star #4 - Free WiFi. I feel so old writing that, but it really is a perk! I love being able to take care of my online assignments on-the-go. Safe to say, "I'm a fan!" I know I'll continue to come to Copper Door Coffee Roasters for my caffeine fix and my homework sessions.

Ellen F.

Yelp
Great coffee most of the time, the 2 locations I have been to are very nice, and the bakery products are fresh and tasty.

Trevor S.

Yelp
I really like this place and have been a regular for the past 3 years, but it has been so hit and miss since they lost their 2 best baristas, roughly 8 months ago. I watched 8 people try to open the doors this morning at 830am (friday), but it was not open. There wasnt a notice about it being closed or opening later in the day, and it said it was open online. Again, I really want to like this place and give them my money but it doesn't seem like they want it. I know it's hard to find good personnel right now but the owner or management needs to work out these issues. I don't want to go to Starbucks and want to support this small business... please

Rose L.

Yelp
I am so upset this place had to move locations. The vibe is awesome; the baristas are always so nice. The last time I went, I got the horchata latte, it was good but not exactly horchata tasting. The matcha latte was bomb.com. I will be getting it again. Great place to bring your laptop and work to do. Support your local small business!!

Alyssa S.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place! My drink was decent, but pricing is outrageous. A small peppermint mocha w soy milk starting at $7 before tip. Insanity

Isaac L.

Yelp
Good coffee stop right by the Lowry Beer Garden. You can park for both the beer and coffee shop.

Jeannette S.

Yelp
Always a delight to pick up a delicious cup of coffee at the Copper door to walk around the Botanic Gardens. And then of course, pick up a 2nd cup for the drive home!

Heather F.

Yelp
Nothing better than an iced latte on a warm Saturday afternoon. It was a great cup of coffee. Gentleman was super friendly and talked to my husband and I while he made my drink. I will be back soon!

Mary G.

Yelp
Enjoying this little gem, great coffee, cute atmosphere, service was excellent and friendly. I thought I said enough but Yelp wants more... they sell coffee cups and copper roasted coffee to take home to have your own copper door at home. Lol

Becky G.

Yelp
First time here and loving it! Beautifully displayed and deliciously flavored. Enjoyed sitting outside, a beautiful day, wonderful food and coffee... it doesn't get much better.

Ron S.

Yelp
This was a great find, tucked away in a semi-industrial park. I came across this shop by accident driving through looking all the breweries. I couldn't find anything about pour overs on their online menu but took a chance with the picture of the beans. Sure enough the provide a choice of Chemex or V60 (Yessss!). Had the rare single sack of Brazilian and a Guatemalian pour over. Bought several bags to take home. RJ was and excellent barista, we talked about their coffee and all the places I have been. Another really cool fact is the roastery is strictly female own and that's cool because I just don't see that amongst all the roasters I've been too.

Jelyssa C.

Yelp
This neat coffee shop is amazing!!! Delicious brewed coffee, homemade salted caramel, and iced chai tea !!! Will definitely return. Friendly staff!

Megan B.

Yelp
Had the midnight mocha (iced) and boy oh boy was it a kick in the pants! Although they weren't really sure of the ingredients it contains (at the very least) coconut oil, activated charcoal, cocoa, milk and some other stuff. This is a very rich and creamy drink that reminds me of bullet proof coffee and is probably an acquired taste although I really liked it!!! The man behind the counter was kinda strange... Talking about naps and like, strange feelings towards work. IDK. Probably not a shop I could come and hang out in but a good place to get a drink to go!

Miya A.

Yelp
I work at the museum next door. Went in for some coffee one afternoon on my lunch, very nice guy with a scraggly beard helped me. I didn't catch his name. He recommended their nitro-infused (I think that's what he called it) iced coffee. I got that as I love trying new coffees - I have NEVER had a coffee like that! It had a beautiful, swirling texture and color before I added some cream as I needed to tone down the flavor a bit. The coffee ended up lasting me until the next day because I got extremely jittery! Not sure how much caffeine is in their nitro-coffee, but damn did it give me a shaky, crazy energy until later that night! Really enjoy this little spot & the Lowry employee discount isn't too bad either :-)

Christopher S.

Yelp
Copper Door is a small, independent coffee roaster and shop in the Hangar 2 Building of Lowry. Great coffee, friendly service and a fresh, clean environment make this coffee shop stand out. The main feature for me is that they truly "get" how to roast beans and the in-house blends are well worth a taste. The new location is a bit smaller than the Jersey Street location but regulars will recognize the tables and the way the doors have been incorporated into the new design. Nicely done, please keep up the good work!

Eiley S.

Yelp
Copper Door Coffee Roasters is amazing! The atmosphere of the coffee shop is wonderful and fits for anyone who walks into the coffee shop. The lattes are great and up to everyone's standards!

georgio s.

Yelp
We like their espresso and we like their coffee selections. What we don't like are their prices, which are more expensive than all the other coffee shops in the area including, Starbucks, Quince Essential, Logan House, Bluenozer, Pablo's, and Jubilee. In addition, Starbucks, Quince, Bluenozer, Lohan House and Pablo's, all offer 1 free coffee refill. The Copper Door charges. So, it boils down to the coffee (and food selection of which theirs is minimal). Again, we like their coffee offerings and would certainly grade them out higher than Starbucks or Bluenozer (and maybe Jubilee...), but their pricing and no-refill policy is off-putting.

Tim L.

Yelp
Three and a half. I went looking for another coffee shop to work from. I also needed some coffee beans and had in mind a specific varietal. I ordered an iced Americano (it was fine) and a cookie (also fine). It was after lunch time so food offerings were pretty limited. Asked to see their bean selection and the pleasant woman working was quick to show me their whole bean area and there was the Yirgacheffe I was craving! Glad to find a shop that carries specific varietals, it seems like a lot of local roasters are tending to branded blends. I sat down to work and started having bandwidth issues. Checked my bandwidth and I believe it read 3 Mbps. Now, there could be a variety of reasons for this, including where I was sitting, or maybe I didn't see a background download happening. Anyways, I headed home since one of my apps needed an update. Will be back to pick up some beans for sure.

Madeleine R.

Yelp
I am not as big a fan of this location, simply because of the small size. Seating is incredibly limited and there are only two outdoor tables. The wifi works well, like their other location, but it's almost impossible to find a seat to sit down and do any work whenever you go in. I really like that it's close to the beer garden and some fun restaurants - it is also a really nice location for pets, since there is plenty of grass outside. The parking can also sometimes be tough (even though the lot is HUGE) because of the number of other restaurants around. They serve the same burritos as their other location and the coffee is just as good. Most of the baristas (particularly the women) are friendly, or just need some time to warm up. Overall, a great place for a cup of coffee, but maybe don't plan to work here unless it's an off time of day.

Just M.

Yelp
I got a nice latte here today. The atmosphere was chill and inviting, and the employee was super nice. I took off one star because the pastry I got was dry, but all in all this is a great little coffee shop.

Clare V.

Yelp
Great neighborhood coffee spot with some delicious coffee alternative drinks, too! A good spot to work if you can snag one of the tables in the corner but the place only seats about 10 max.

Marv E.

Yelp
I discovered this place by accident while visiting Denver. What a hidden gem. The amount of variety of coffee choices is amazing. I really liked the pour over option. I never had coffee that way. A fun and really special experience. If you're a coffee lover this is a must try!

Taylor L.

Yelp
Great coffee and friendly staff. The location is a little hard to find and the indoor space is limited, but worth it for the quality of coffee they provide.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
I liked the other location better (when they were on Jersey) The original staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was exactly right. I came in to the new location in Lowry today and it seemed small, forced, the staff seemed mostly disinterested and my pour-over was just OK. It tasted just like a regular cup of coffee without any distinctive notes like you normally get when ordering a pour over. Overall, just MEH. Probably don't need to go back.

T M.

Yelp
This was my third visit to Copper Door and I have to say each time has been a mediocre experience. I typically receive an "I don't care" and "What do you want" attitude from the baristas. I try to support small, locally owned businesses but not with that kind of customer service. I expect better customer service when I'm paying $6 for a beverage. I was the only customer in there when I came in today and the barista could not even take the time to stir or blend the iced latte I ordered. He just sat it on the counter, syrup on the bottom, milk not blended with the espresso. Perhaps he was too eager to sit back down and get back on his cell phone as he did in front me while I was stirring my drink. The best coffee shops are those that handcraft their beverages and serve them with a smile. Those are the ones I frequent.

Julia N.

Yelp
The man working was very kind and gave a great suggestion. I ended up very happy with a very yummy drink!

Gwendolyn B.

Yelp
I got the light roasted Ethiopian coffee and love it. The undertones are really nice. I normally don't like coffee that has flavors but this is subtle and great. I also ordered the bacon-cheese quiche. It's worth more than $5. So good and filling. The only changes I would make are minor: add a coat rack/hook somewhere and have sugar in a jar to pour. It's easier than opening 3 packs of sugar and probably better for the environment.

Brian F.

Yelp
Amazing coffee it taste fresh and not burnt which is key to a coffee shop. The workers are always friendly and greet you with a smile.

Christie G.

Yelp
Had a latte and it was delicious! Only a few tables so great for grab and go. Awesome selection of locally roasted blends. Happy we discovered this gem!

Patty V.

Yelp
First visit and it did not disappoint. Gluten free breakfast sandwich was biscuit like, a little chewy, enjoyed it. Espresso in the cappuccino was lovely. Will come back.

Jessi P.

Yelp
I went with a friend to this coffee house and it's right up my ally. Very friendly staff, great variety of pastries and a kick ass vanilla soy latte!

K B.

Yelp
Awesome!! love love love. Delicious coffee, warm and friendly space (they were happy to have me in there for hours today!) and super knowledgeable people. Had a great discussion about coffee flavors (they have a coffee flavor wheel on the wall) and about different roasting styles in Colorado and California. I will definitely be back, a lot!

Carolyn G.

Yelp
This small shop is next to the Lowry Beer Garden. On the expensive side but delicious to match. Plenty of coffee and expresso choices. EXCELLENT customer service this Saturday morning.

B M.

Yelp
unsure how to rate. visited at 4:30 in the afternoon. stood at counter. nothing. no greeting. nothing. three women over at the tea talking. this is the third business that has tried this location, and you have almost no signage. you cannot afford to ignore any of your customers. we ended up not getting any coffee--we left instead.
