This place is absolutely a hidden gem! The House Chai was amazing and the fresh bagel breakfast sandwich was to die for! You won’t be disappointed if you go here. The only con I can think of is the parking area is very small. So you will probably have to park on the street a walk a little bit. But the walk is worth it!

Great bagels! I didn’t get any coffee but I got bagels, a cookie, and a scone. All of them tasted fresh and home made, but still at a high quality. I highly recommend this place if you like scones, they had a good variety of flavors I hadn’t seen elsewhere.

Stopped here on my last day in town on the way to the airport and DAMN! It was super busy, the team behind the bar was crushing it, food and coffee came out fast enough that I had time to sit on their lovely patio and eat. The rosemary bagel is 🔥love this place big time!!

The coffee shop is cute. The service is amazing, quick friendly, and are ready to help with questions. The bagel was good, the texture was a little tough to chew. The cappuccino was good, I wish I would have had it served in a mug, and not in a paper cup. The matcha was yummy, one of our favorites And the pastry we got was also good. I noticed a lot of dust everywhere, dust bunnies in a place that can be easily swept during closing. The bathrooms are cute but also feel like it’s cleaned minimally. This is like a coffee dive bar.

As a New Yorker it's really hard to find good bagels outside of NY/NJ. I ordered a breakfast everything bagel eggs with honey ham. I forgot to say not cheese, so when it came I asked if I could get without and a new bagel was made for me. The bagel was really good and reminded me of NY/NJ bagels. The service was really good and my overall experience here has been great the few times I have been here. For a chill atmosphere with good food reasonably price you can't miss out here. I highly recommend come here.

Super convenient drive thru coffee, food and snacks. Ordered the rosemary asiago bagel sandwich with veggies inside and it was amazing. Tried the zucchini bread and a raspberry chocolate muffin. Everything was delicious and super cool vibes inside.

Best breakfast sandwich!!! And the cinnamon rolls are the perfect level of chewy and firm with frosty frosting that has the perfect sweetness. I’ve found a new favorite coffee shop. Plenty of parking on street and in a parking lot. Staff is super friendly. Oh and not forget to mention, they make their own bagels!!! OMG. Captain has added to favorites.

Visited Copper Star for the first time this morning and literally everything was phenomenal. The service was great, I ordered the Eva bagel with cream cheese and an iced house chai - then she gave me a white chocolate blackberry muffin! I’m so impressed with the food and the chai actually tastes strongly like chai (at some places, it may as well be milk with a chai essence). The price was reasonable & the place itself is super cute. I love the drive through option. I will be back!

I always saw this place while driving around town and decided to visit! The people working there were so kind and didn't judge me for getting in line again after finishing my bagel lol. I love the outside seating because they got the misters going and I love the exterior of the shop! The pride flag really makes me feel welcome! As for food and drink, it was soooo good. Such a tasty breakfast, my mocha was sweet and creamy and delicious with my bagel sandwich. Will be coming here again, an Arizona gem for sure!

Really liked their vegan options for bagels. I had asked to get a bagel with tomato and mixed greens with a side of vegan cream cheese. I asked for it to be lighted toasted and it was delicious. I don't however like that the person assisting didn't seem to be as friendly when I asked questions about the items. I went through a drive through that was easy to place the orders but they don't give you an itemized version of your receipt to know what you paid for. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and did enjoy the taste of this. I might try again and see how the service is this next time around.

Ya know, I was a little skeptical at first, given how rough around the edges Copper Star looked in some of the photos online, but I'm VERY glad I gave it a shot. Not only were the coffee flavors unique and quite good, the staff was SO nice. They were really helpful, and even gave me and my girlfriend each a free food item with our purchases since we had never been before! I can't recommend Copper Star enough. Be sure to get a fun flavor in your drink. You won't regret it.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Service was quick and they were working hard. Got my jalapeño cheddar bagel and a tropical smoothie. The bagel was so fresh and the bacon was delish. The smoothie was creamy and fruity . Both are 10/10! Cute ambiance inside and outside. Will be returning soon!

A wonderful little coffee shop in Phoenix. We came in and there was a decent line but it got even busier with the line out the door while we were eating. I tried an ice Cubano and oh man was it delicious!! My first time trying a Cubano coffee. Smooth with some sweetness. We also got bagels. The Frankenstein (jalapeno cheese everything) bagel with pesto cream cheese and tomato. It was so flavorful! The pesto was not overpowering which was nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Cool spot that once used to be a mechanic shop, they also have a drive thru.

Always great coffee. I have to say the bagels are best of Phoenix, hands down. Service is always friendly and superb. Ambiance inside and outside is welcoming. I always bring my out-of-town friends here and they enjoy the experience. Been a Lux goer for decades. Copper Star is a fine replacement for my go-to CDS (caffeine delivery system). Ha ha!

Love this spot and their house-made bagels. The espresso is really delicious too. Try the pesto cream cheese on a frankenstein bagel and the iced cubano! They have a drive thru so you don't even have to get out of your car if you don't want to :) The staff are always really nice, but be prepared to wait 10 mins or so for your order when it's busy. This is definitely not the place to come if you're in a rush. I knocked off a star because there is some inconsistency with the cream cheese - sometimes it's perfect but sometimes there is barely any so it eats really dry.

Great breakfast sandwich and coffee, super cool shop. The girl who took my order was not the friendliest and seemed pretty irritated from the get-go. I will be back!

One of my favorite bagel + coffee duos in Phoenix! My go-to is an everything bagel & pistachio latte with an extra shot. The staff here are always so kind and orders come out fast. This is a queer space! Be courteous today and always :)

Inside a restored gas station is a really, really good bagel shop. Their pastrami on a sesame bagel is perfect- the cheese, the meat, it's all perfectly seasoned and so good. My wife loved her ham bagel sandwich and my six-year-old daughter couldn't stop talking about her plain bagel with cream cheese. Their coffee is also great with many different kinds and flavors. The iced cinnamon latte was refreshing! Service is quick and kind!

This place is small and nice. A few inside seats as well as a shaded patio area for outdoor seating. Bagels and boiled and baked in house and you can tell. The bagels have a chewy but soft texture and are a bit small, but light and airy. Cream cheese was smooth and flavorful and held up to the heat of the bagel without getting runny. The everything bagel has toppings just on top, but they are plentiful and well toasted. The perfect balance of onion, salt, seeds. The jalapeño cream cheese is made with pickled jalapeños with a hint of heat and sweet.. but the crown glory, the house made party with Schreiners sausage.. do yourself a favor and get that.. so good! Service was quick and the coffee was flowing. The staff was kind and the place had a revolving door of people streaming in from the time we arrived until we left! Worth the drive from Gilbert and will be back!

This place came recommended. Cool vibe eclectic, industrial, & cosy for my first visit. Loved the look of the menu and drink options are way better sounding than any chain store. I'm a bit of a bagel snob, these are made in house fresh daily. Good selection of flavors I had the rosemary Asiago pastrami breakfast sandwich bagel. I was so excited to receive & it tasted delicious! Good chew on the bagel with tight crumb. Bonus was getting a free pastry item because it was my first visit, Ty so much!

First Impression Love how they carry a pastrami bagel. I also love they can make an orange mocha. Decor is nice. Restrooms have a large mirror with an upscale sink. This place welcomes everyone so please be aware and read the signage by the register.

I was in town the for weekend and wanted a quick early breakfast with some good coffee for the road trip we were about to embark on. I loved how there was a drive thru option and it moved pretty quickly even though they were making fresh bagel sandwiches for the people in line. Drinks: The cubano was pretty delicious. Not too sweet and strong Food: Breakfast bagel sandwich with bacon was delicious. Very simple and well balanced and wasn't too salty.

The Frankenstein bagel was awesome, the cheddar baked on top was super sharp and had a nice kick to it. The coffees were also good! Service was super friendly but a little scattered, we had to go back up and ask for the muffin we had ordered. I do wish there was more seating inside, but they do have lots more outside!

We got in line with about 4 people a head of us at 10am. They took our order at 10:12. Ordered two coffees and a plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese for my daughter. Servers are nice. They gave me an onion bagel. My daughter didn't like it of course! So disappointed. Coffee tastes good. I got the Cubano and my husband got a frozen coffee.

Introduced to Copperstar by a friend. The place is dope. They carry Ooh Mama's vegan cream cheese which you can find at the Uptown market. I've had quality issues here from allergies to raw bagels BUT i am giving 5 stars because the people who helped me get my refund today was KIND about it. Like, genuinely. I was relieved they were so understanding.

Madi, the hot gal on the register, is the best one there. She is sooo good at what she does. She is so kind, great outfits, and everyone loves her. She makes a mean coffee. Highly recommend Madi, well and Copper Star.

I love love love Copper Star Coffee! Honestly, the best coffee I have ever tasted- surpasses Black Rock, Starbucks, Dutch bros, and some smaller coffee places I've been to! I love their Cubano coffee! It tastes AMAZING hot but also amazing when it's iced. I've tried their BLT sandwich and their hummus, onions, and tomatoes bagel. The BLT sandwich had a very healthy amount of bacon and it came with a side of corn mixed with beans!!! Their Hummus was toasty and more elevated than I expected. The service here is amazing! The location seems nice and cozy, but I usually go through the drive through!

I was in search of a new breakfast bagel spot and came across Copper Star Coffee. I sure am glad I did! I ordered the breakfast bagel sandwich with a Frankenstein bagel, 2 eggs, ham, and cheese. It was out of this world. I visited on a Saturday morning and it was busy. Despite it being busy we were served our orders pretty quickly. There are seating options indoors and on the outside patio. Cooper Star Coffee is the perfect place to grab coffee, breakfast, or both! I will definitely be returning. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Our first visit! Both had the bacon bagel, one with jalapeño and the other plain. Both were delicious. Nice egg and melty cheese. You get a treat and punch card if you're a first timer. Nice coffee and she cared about the spelling of my name for the cup (it's the small things).

The best of the best when it comes to the bagel + tea breakfast. When I need to break the WFH monotony, this as absolutely the best place to go. Extremely quick, efficient, and comfy. Ample dog-friendly outdoor space. My always order? Arnold Palmer with Earl Grey + of lavender, and a Bodega Bagel on an Eva.

Amazing service, amazing food, I loving coming here! The bagels are always nice and well cooked! The Frankenstein bagel is phenomenal and definitely an item that you must try on your first visit. All the employees are also very helpful from the first visit to my most recent.

Decided to give this place a try after seeing a few TikToks claiming them to have the best bagels in phx. Came here on a weekday around 10am and unfortunately they were out of the bagels I wanted to try. The cashier seemed to be having a bad day after dealing with another customer and projecting that onto other customers. Other than that the breakfast sandwiches were just ok. The coffee on the other hand was very good and would definitely come back just for that.

The bagels are the best. There is not much else to say. I'm incredibly Impressed. There's not one thing I can find to say negatively about the bagels, they are fresh, chewy, fluffy, light and flavorful. I highly recommend this place and you should definitely make your way to Cooper Star for a nice bacon egg and cheese bagel! Keep up the strong work, guys! You are doing a wonderful job!

Went here for brunch and coffee and I can honestly say the bagel sandwiches are amazing. As far as service I did notice it was a little busier in the mornings (of course I'd go on a Saturday morning ) but service was amazing. The workers there are really inclusive and amazing. The ambiance definitely gives good morning vibes would definitely come back!

Came here recently because I haven't been in a while! I ordered the Earll grey iced tea and it was horrific! It tasted very old! It was either the ice or the tea. I gave it another chance but the results were still the same. Very upsetting and wasted my money. In addition, the shop seems to be neglected. It is very dirty looking from the outside waiting in the drive thru. In addition, some baristas are quite rude and seem to not like their job at all which makes it awkward.

Best bagel in Phoenix. I have been hunting for a bagel place on this side of town and finally I have it. They load it up with cream cheese. Also their breakfast sandwiches are great. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the Frankenstein (jalapeño cheddar everything bagel)

Stopped by twice during our short stay in Phoenix. My fiancé and I were looking for 2 specific things for breakfast - lavender coffee and strawberry cream cheese. Copper Star Coffee nailed it and had both! This place was a bit out of the way from where we were staying but it was 100% worth the drive. We ordered the lavender coffee, iced coffee, strawberry cream cheese on a plain bagel, and BEC on an everything bagel. Everything came out delicious and all that we could ask for in a breakfast! The staff was so friendly and even saved me from forgetting my credit card there. If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend stopping in!

My favorite guilty pleasure that has turned into a daily routine. An iced cubano and either hummus or cream cheese bagel is a must. They make the bagels fresh daily. I was waiting to post a review so I could add a photo but I always forget to take one!

Recently moved to Arizona and wanted to try a new coffee place. Definitely worth the drive from Chandler. Great coffee, AMAZING bagels and awesome ambiance! The staff is super nice and helpful. My wife and I love coming here on the weekends to get our fix. You gotta try this place! I love that they are LGBTQ+ friendly

This is a review from JULY that got stuck in my drafts! Yay for * being right around the corner when my Internet went out this past Wed at 8 am & I had to be in a Zoom class * friendly staff * chill space Boo for * baked goods I sampled; first I got a slice of Banana Bread that was over baked & dry * barista let me switch it out for another pastry (thank you) & I got their Blueberry Muffin. This choice was dry and bland, like no vanilla or salt added... I didn't order any coffee drinks this time, but I've had their Chai & it was super delish. I hope they step up their game on the baked goods.

Super cute old school auto shop and gas station turned into coffee shop. Cozy and staff is inviting. From coffee, tea, non-coffee drinks or if you're hungry they have pastries and bagel sandwiches. This is a small coffee shop however they have a nice cute outdoor patio for you to enjoy. If the weather is nice they will open the garage glass door

I have been to Copper Star Coffee countless times in the short time I've been in Phoenix. The absolute best bagels in Phoenix. The flavors are unmatched and the sandwiches are delicious. My go-to is the Frankenstein bagel which is a combination of everything and jalapeño cheddar. On the other hand, my friend gets the sun-dried tomato bagel. Both are great choices! Also, the coffee!! There are sooo many flavors that it is a huge challenge to actually taste all of them. I work night shifts and I always picked up a coffee from Copper Star before. The only downside is that you have to come early in the morning. I came in the afternoon on a weekend and there was only sun-dried tomato bagel with strawberry cream cheese available. definitely not the move. come early and come hungry! My go to breakfast in Phoenix and it will not disappoint.

I liked my tuxedo mocha and my sister enjoyed her Lavendar mocha. The mocha was over a dollar more than the latte, and they are usually closer in price so that was weird. It was a very busy place and small, but the drive thru option is helpful. It looks like it used to be a gas station once upon a time.

This place is just the absolute best. I don't know why it's taken me years to visit but I'm so glad I finally did because it's now become my favorite spot. The service is superb. They treat my dog like royalty lol and the food is incredible. I recommend the cubano coffee, the tropical smoothie and any of their bagels, but especially the Frankenstein! Try it with your breakfast sandwich and you'll thank me later. There is usually a line but the wait isn't bad. Trust me, it's worth it. I don't have pics of the food because I usually eat it before getting home lol

I ordered an iced peach latte with coconut milk. It was delicious. I would go back when I'm in the area next time. There's a drive thru as well. My date was unimpressed with his drink. Atmosphere was great.

I'm still dreaming of the ginger turmeric iced tea I had a few weeks ago! Everyone is so friendly - service is quick! Lots of great bagel flavor options with lots of smears! I love being able to add tomato to my bagels! This is a great place to work from your laptop, too. A few tables of varying sizes and a small patio.

One of my favorite neighborhood coffee shops! Even though I don't live in this neighborhood, I like grabbing coffee and a sweet treat here because of the laid back vibes and friendliness of the workers. Even though it's a well loved spot by many, I never feel like they are overly busy. The outdoor seating is perfect for me to enjoy my coffee while rocking my little one in his car seat. I'll continue to come back to this chill spot!

The service is amazing here! I love their bagel options, I got the Frankenstein bagel with egg cheese and bacon. The Frankenstein bagel was sooooo amazing, it's a combination of everything bagel and jalapeño. My iced white chocolate latte was also very good! I am not sure what kind of white mocha they use, but it almost has a little bit of a Carmel taste to it as well ; which I love. The shop is pretty cute, it gives me hipster vibes. Will most def come back!

A desert reprieve! Nestled between Phoenix's midtown & uptown neighborhoods, Copper Star Coffee shines bright as a quintessential beverage shop serving up various goodies along with caffeinated cups. The space features decor local to Arizona with a splash of rustic ambiance. There is both indoor seating & a spacious outdoor patio to enjoy the weather. Really loved the coffee seat backs. Another plus is their commitment to diversity & inclusivity! Since it was a hot spring afternoon, we opted for chilled drinks. The green tea chiller had the consistency of a lean smoothie with hints of matcha and blueberry flavors- neither of which were too overpowering. The mocha also had just the right amount of lavender. Will definitely need to visit again for some of the bites. Service was quick & efficient!

Went for the first time today through the drive-through. Right off the bat. The stuff is so friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering the vegetarian salad with goat cheese. To everything bagels, and a caramel vanilla blended. The salad - 5 star. The thing I like most about it is that they seem to be a little dressing in every bite. I don't know if they shake it up or what but that's my all-time favorite. Every bite was delicious.. The vanilla caramel blended was a nice surprise. I always get caramel and this had something extra. I guess the vanilla adds a little something extra and it had a tasty flavor. But in my opinion, the star of the show was the bagels. I am a bagel snob. I'll just say that just because you put bread in a circle doesn't make it a bagel (frys) Not only was this bagel chewy on the inside from the outside they did not skimp on the toppings. I now know where I will be getting my bagels. I'm so glad I stopped by looking forward to future meals with them. And I just wanna mention again how amazing their staff was

I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place before, considering how often I go. I absolutely love the chai, the bagels, and the rotating pastry options here! My boyfriend and I come all the time. (He recommends the honey goat sandwich.) The pastry case always has something gluten free and something vegan, for those who look for that. My go-to order is a rosemary asiago bagel breakfast sandwich with roasted veggies instead of meat and a peanut butter oat milk chai. The staff are very accommodating for food and drink customizations. It's a great neighborhood, a welcoming space, and one of the only locally owned drive-through options. Don't sleep on the loyalty stamp card-- fill it up and get a free drink!

Always been a fav spot from when I worked near downtown but I haven't really gone in ages. Went today to hang with a friend and apparently they make their own bagels now?!? Amazing. Just straight up amazing! Omg the flavors are so sharp it's a must to try! Had the Cubano coffee today and that was delicious as well! Very good no matter what you order And the folks working here are so lovely too! They are very friendly and make you feel welcome and make some gosh darn good food and drinks! It's very laid back kinda hipster vibes here which is nice. It's rustic and comfy and smells divine! If you're in the area and want a quick bite and some coffee (or other delicious drinks. They have this matcha smoothie that is my go to in the summer)
