The 22 Best Bars In Paris

"Copperbay is your best option for cocktails near Strasbourg Saint-Denis station, partially because there aren’t many bars in the area. But this stylish, laid-back spot could be anywhere, and we’d still flock here for the drinks alone. The menu keeps things interesting, and is based on concepts like “mouthfeel” and fabric samples—yes, you actually can choose a drink by touching suede, silk, or leather. High wooden tables are perfect for groups looking for cocktails after work or couples getting to know each other in a cozy corner. If you’re by yourself, pull up to the bar to watch the experts in action and dive into the light bar food, like olives and cheese plates." - tanisha townsend

"I highly recommend this cocktail bar for a fancy, chill evening! Sit at the bar if you can but either way you’ll have a great experience. The menu changes often, but I like their magic tonics very much! Bonus, you can grab some tasty finger food while sipping your drink… How cool is that?" - Fakepaper

The 24 Best Bars in Paris

"The marine-inspired decor makes this unpretentious spot feel like vacation: shades of blue and green, ropes draped from the ceiling (in between the requisite Edison bulbs), and wooden ores hung as wall art. The menu, which changes seasonally, comes in two forms: handwritten in script on a giant paper scroll behind the bar and via a deck of cards that explain the components of each cocktail via a hefty description and a colorful pie chart. While they can make anything you want, specialities are worth trying like the Petit Artichaut made with a nut butter-infused whisky, bitters, Pedro Ximenez sherry, and Guinness. They also do a selection of beers (from local Parisian brewery Demory), ciders from Appie, and natural white or red wine by the glass or bottle." - Sara Lieberman

Loved the vibe at CopperBay! Creative cocktails, great service, and a cozy, stylish setting. A top spot for drinks in Paris.

A great little cocktail spot tucked away on a quiet street in the 10th. The space is cosy and intimate, perfect for a cold evening in Paris. However it looked like they open up a terrasse when the weather is nicer. The staff were lovely! The waitress knew the cocktail menu by heart and was genuinely enthusiastic when talking about the drinks. The bartender was quick and reactive. The cocktail menu is creative, with a fun mix of Italian influences, spicy notes, and a bit of a coffeeshop twist. I tried the Spiced Latte, not too strong, not too sweet, very smooth and easy to enjoy. My only (very minor) note is about the plastic green leaf used as garnish, not really my thing, but that’s just a matter of taste. All in all, definitely a place I’d recommend and would go back to!

CopperBay exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for both casual hangouts and special occasions. I tried their signature cocktail, which was refreshing and well-balanced, and paired it with their seafood platter. Each dish was fresh and flavorful, showcasing local ingredients beautifully. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Whether you're looking for a great drink or a delicious meal, CopperBay is a must-visit!

Nice of drinks in this beautiful bar. The owner is super friendly and will likely to talk with you, if you are as well. Everything looks brand new and super well done. Really live the copper pipes and overall decorations. The bar is really stylish as well.

Super cool cocktail menu (when we tried it was Textures) and I've heard it changes from time to time! With Textures, you get to touch and feel and type of texture on the menu which explains the ingredients in the cocktail which tries to imitate the texture you touched and felt. Quite an interesting concept! Service was fantastic and the location is not too far from a street filled with bars in the area. Tried this bar three times and surely will not be the last.

Google
Francois and his partner were awesome bartenders. Super friendly. Spoke great English and welcome an English speaking American warmly. The cocktails were unique and tasty. Reasonably priced for an artisan cocktail bar. Would definitely come back. Tres Bien!

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE. A beautiful, dark bar lit by candles. The bartender and server was so knowledgeable about the cocktails and that made ordering a lot easier. Service was fantastic. Drinks were so amazing. They were creative and unique which I appreciated. Didn't order food but would love to visit again to try what food they have to offer!

Yelp
Super Cool lil bar! Friendly staff. Awesome drinks. Laid back. Busy, but comfortably so. It's a bit hidden, as it is on a less traveled street. But it is well worth seeking out if you are over having wine with everything, or just prefer a really ingenious cocktail.

Yelp
Copperbay doesn't play... By far my favorite spot of the night. Close to the Airbnb I stayed at. A cozy & comfortable bar. Drinks are strong, man. Ridiculously amazing. The atmosphere is hard to explain, but I absolutely love it. A mix between casual, chic, & chill. And that's it.

Yelp
I know it seems ridiculous that I sought out craft cocktails in a country known for wine, but of all the bars in the area, I really wanted to check our Copper Bay. They're kind of hidden on a quieter street, and for the sake of neighbors, they actually have a thing that measures sound inside. They have some food, but the focus was the cocktails. The bar area is legit, and all their tools are copper (shakers, stirs, etc). They have fresh herbs, tons of infusions, and all the other signs of a legit bar. I love that they give you the ratios for the cocktail recipes on the menu. Drinks are €11-14 each. The regular menu is all in French, but they have an English version, too. Drinks: - Clear my colada: rum based, barrel aged, not too fruity or sweet. It sounded like it might be a tiki ish drink, but it was super balanced with a hint of coconut, and the toasted coconut salt on the side was a nice touch. It also came with a super clear ice cube and a really nice quality glass - Monkey in the yard: whisky based, slightly tart, well balanced, with a gorgeous presentation Watching the bartender was like watching a performance. She was super skilled with thighs like flipping the cups, and she made everything look so skillful yet easy. The staff was super friendly, as well. We went before dinner on a weekday, and it was a fairly low key environment. I wish we could have stayed for more drinks, but we had to head out to dinner. I would definitely come back!

Yelp
This is quite possibly one of the most incredible dining experiences I've ever had. Just get the mozzarella NOW. It was so flavorful and unique that I will never forget it and I have tried to find something to match it ever since unsuccessfully. I basically just ask them what to order and they brought it and I do not regret it. The staff was quite nice and in fact we had a lovely conversation. The cocktails were so fresh and made and distilled there that it was so delicious. One of my most memorable restaurants in France.

Yelp
Amazing drinks, try the C'est le bouquet! It's based on gin and has elderflower, cucumber and wasabi! You can taste each taste and yet they blend well together. It was really surprising, fresh and tasty. Remember last summer was an elegant aperol spritz. Prices 10-12e

Yelp
I love this craft cocktail bar in Republique. My bearded Frenchman and I stop by every time we are in Paris. Each cocktail has been sublimely created by the innovative CopperBay team and the menu changes several times a year. The service is friendly and the drinks are affordable. They also serve food and are open late. It's a perfect place to meet a date or friends. I cannot wait to go again the next time we are in Paris.

Yelp
This place a little bit hidden. It's not in a very lively street, so you have to search for it. It has big windows in front and a nice chandelier and wooden bar inside. You can sit along the walls and around the table in the middle of the room. I was here because I saw there was an unofficial yelp event and I've met some nice yelpers from Paris. The 2 cocktails I tasted were based on Gin and were adorable with a lovely finishing touch! Also the different kind of finger food you can order are quite special (duo de mousses, burrata, ...) and tasted superb! It's not so big, so if you want to have a seat don't come to late!

Yelp
Bar at Strasbourg Saint Denis with full bar. This place definitely has a list on my "go to" spots when looking for a place for drinks with friends after work. The drinks : Super reasonable prices for the City of Lights (10-12€ a cocktail, beautiful presented). A menu with something for everyone. unique and beautifully presented cocktails, craft beers on tap, wine, prosecco, pastis, digestifs... The staff : Seem to always have a smile and is so friendly. The space: An industrial feel, high cielings and various small tables with tasteful stools. There's also a cozy lounge back section if you get there early to call dibbs and you'll be set for the evening.

Yelp
We're spoiled with great cocktail bars in Stockholm, but this place delivered on my high expectations anyways. I really appreciate a well-mixed drink (no, I don't refer to piñacoladas) and am always looking for new exciting places when I travel. My and my company just had dinner at a local Mexican place just around the corner and was looking for a bar to continue the evening. We had bookmarked CopperBay since before, if we hadn't we probably wouldn't have found it. It's located on a small street and the venue itself doesn't draw much attention to it. When entering, you come in to a place with a lot of tables and places to sit and talk, but it's also centred around the bar and the major table in the middle. We take a seat and a very friendly bartender comes with a menu and some water. I always appreciate when they bring water. The menu changes often but we had one drink similar to a mojito, only better and greener, and one version of a Long island ice tea, only it tasted nothing like it. It had both gin and vodka, but also some fig liquor. It was topped with a coke candy, very cute - and one of the best drinks I've ever had. This is a place to either sit down with a small company and just talk, or bring a larger crowd for drinks, it suits both. I would definitely be here often if I lived in Paris.

Yelp
While this bar might be a bit off the beaten path, it's definitely worth going to. It wasn't that busy when we came on a weeknight, so besides being able to enjoy my first ever cocktail served in a bag (C'est Le Bouquet) we also got to spend some time talking to Julien who was working his magic behind the bar. Definitely some of the most innovative and delicious cocktails that we've had in Paris.

Yelp
Stopped by after dinner for a couple of drinks. We tried the Garden Party (a mojito riff), and Super Smash Bros (whiskey smash variant). Both were well balanced and beautifully presented, Copper Bay definitely holds up to my favorites back home in San Francisco (Trick Dog, Bourbon and Branch, etc). The bar itself is beautiful; nice clean wood, recessed mise en place, beautiful copper accents. More impressively, it was designed and built by the owners (who are also the bartenders). It was early on a Wednesday so I had a chance to chat a bit with one of the three owners (Aurélie). She was clearly very passionate about the drinks and ingredients, and brought over some bitters and spirits for us to smell and taste. Aurélie mentioned that it's the first time any of them have owned a bar, but you'd never guess it; they're executing flawlessly. She also spoke perfect English, which was helpful as a foreigner. I love being be able to support a place that is both making great drinks and owned and operated by great people. I didn't have the chance to try any of the snacks, but they looked/sounded awesome. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
If you're in Paris and love good cocktails, MUST stop by CopperBay! I had one of the best cocktails here called Lanana. The owner/bartender took the time to come sit down with us for a chat as well. She was so knowledgeable and friendly! We told her what flavors we enjoyed and she made us some off the menu cocktails. Next time, we'll be bringing you guys some "Twizzlers"!

Yelp
This was probably the best cocktail experience I've ever had. We came to Paris on our Honeymoon, and Copperbay was first on our list of places to try due to its fantastic reviews. And it didn't disappoint! When we first arrived, we were very pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Aurelie (the co-owner) who made us feel right at home, inviting us to sit at the bar. Her English was wonderful, and she was so personable during our entire visit, chatting with us about Paris, rums from different regions, and her upcoming bartending competition in Beijing where she will be representing France (how exciting!) She let us sample rums and taste the difference between those from France and Cuba, and invited us to try this delicious slushy drink that tasted like licorice, in all the best possible ways (it was so delicious, I'm still thinking about it). Aurelie was so hospitable, and left a great impression on us for the rest of our trip. She even gave us her card and asked us to email her for any advice or info while we were in Paris. I cannot say enough positive things about Aurelie - it is evident that she is passionate about her craft and her guests' experiences. Now onto the cocktails - this place has some of the most innovative cocktails I've ever seen. The C'est le Bouquet (which we regrettably did not try) is served gift wrap-bag style with a straw (look it up, there's pictures). I've never seen anything like it. We also watched Aurelie create a custom "mermaid-inspired cocktail" for someone who requested such. All the cocktails we DID order were simply delicious. They had a really great selection to choose from, and I understand that they switch up the menu seasonally (an idea which I think all craft cocktail bars should do - at least partially). The interior space was cozy and bright, and careful thought was put into the bar setup (everything was level with the surface so you could watch what they were doing). The bar felt inviting and warm, like a home kitchen, and more of a connection was established between you and your bartender as you can see everything they do. You can tell they are highly skilled just by watching how fast and accurately they pour the ingredients and make your drinks. Very impressive. I also loved the cocktail menu which has a diagram of ingredients that demonstrates the proportions for each drink. This is great for non-French readers since the descriptions are in French, but you can still visualize the makeup of the cocktail you are about to order. All in all, this place deserves all the praise it gets, and I desperately wish this was my local bar that I could visit all the time to sample their new creations. Copperbay and its owners set a high standard for quality, service and inventiveness, and I think they are a successful example that more bars should look to for inspiration. They should be proud of the space and experience they've created for their guests - I know I sure am!

Yelp
Went here with my gf and was very impressed. Delicious cocktails. The owner Auriella was very friendly and gave us advice about where to go. Very stylish bar too.

Yelp
Best bar I've ever been to in the world. Very forward thinking but approachable with their cocktails. Highly recommend sitting at the bar if you can but either way you'll get a great experience. The bartenders are highly trained but in no way pretentious. The C'est le bouquet, el luchador, le trop chou, and roquettini (even though it sounds weird) were truly inspired. I wish this place was in the states. Paris is getting into the cocktail scene but this place feels light years ahead.

Yelp
Great new little cocktail bar! The street is pretty dead, so I was worried we weren't in the right place as we were walking up. The building isn't finished, but it is bright and comfortable. The cocktails are all delicious, reasonably priced for paris and creative, so it was hard to choose! I think our favorite was the rouquin (i think that's what it was called). The bar tenders were very friendly as well and they gave us a free shot of liqueur. Definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
AMAZING cocktail bar! I cannot stop raving about this place to all my friends. Gorgeous decor, large space, super friendly staff, and the drinks... oh my! Divine and super inventive. My new favorite place in Paris!
