Wild South Is New Orleans’ First Big Restaurant Closure of 2025 | Eater New Orleans

"A longtime Garden District favorite owned by Stoltzfus; the chef sunsetted its tasting-menu option, and a subsequent tasting-menu project picked up where that option had been discontinued. Ana Castro worked there as a sous chef before partnering with Stoltzfus on the 2021 modern Mexican tasting-menu restaurant." - Clair Lorell

Our party came here for a warm, tasty dinner and we had exactly that. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet. Our server, Jacob, spent a good bit of time answering every question I had about the menu and didn’t seem bothered even once. His kindness and patience attributed to the wonderful experience we had at Coquette. The escargot were buttery and delicious and my brother in law truly enjoyed the Steak Tartare. Our entrees were just as delectable (clear from the pictures, I’m sure). The Chai Sale was probably one of my new favorite drinks. I’m not sure how I’ve never managed to make (essentially) a chai espresso martini, but I’m mad it’s taken me this long!! Their espresso martini and fig & fable drinks were also spectacular. Come give this place a try and ask for Jacob, you won’t be disappointed!

I've been here twice. Both times have been at Sunday brunch, and both times have been exceptional. The quiche is just absolutely incredible - 11/10. The bananas foster French toast, also incredible. Not overly expensive either. The cocktails are a little pricey, but very good. Brie biscuits, also really great. The atmosphere is also really nice and great service. I definitely plan on returning. I want to try their regular lunch or dinner sometime.

Coquette I visited Coquette in North Hills for lunch. Parking was easy and there were plenty of spots, which is always a good start. I ordered the steak sandwich. The bread was great, but the steak itself wasn’t very enjoyable for me. The potatoes on the side were delicious though, and I had a Diet Coke with my meal. One thing that surprised me was that I noticed lip gloss on the glass in front of where we were seated, which made me feel like the table wasn’t cleaned well before we sat down. Our server was very nice and friendly, so that helped the experience. Overall, I felt the price was pretty high for what we got.

FIVE STARS to Coquette Brasserie for their classic French cuisine and delicious small plate luncheon menu! We love going at lunchtime — lighter crowds, great value, and the chance to mix in other favorites. Today’s meal featured perfectly prepared salmon, quiche, and sides (the truffle fries are outstanding!). Chef and staff are super! Bon appétit!

Stopped in for a quick brunch on the way to RDU. Mimosas were a splendid pour and the perfect mix of orange juice. My Quiche Lorraine was 10/10, super velvety, and about six inches tall. Service was excellent, atmosphere is very cute bistro. Delightful little find, I’m so glad I stopped.

Edit: The manager reached out to me and genuinely listened to my concerns. As someone who worked in the industry for decades, I don't require much, just for a restaurant to care, which is what I received from him. Coquette is a neighborhood staple for my family, and I feel so much better about returning after speaking with him. Thank you so much to management for valuing the traditions of our hospitality industry and making me feel welcome and seen. As a mother of two, in a time when prices for everything are through the roof, going out to eat is a luxury. I have been here as a solo diner three times in the past two years. The first two times, I wondered if the bartenders were having an off night, having bartended for 20 years myself, I know how it can be, but the third time, shame on me for wasting my money. Every time I've come, it's during slower times or slower days, so I'm not in the way. I go in with the intent of getting one or two drinks, a meal, and a dessert. Every time, I've left without a second drink or dessert because the bartenders can't be bothered with me. I'm literally a foot from them. I expect nothing special, see me, acknowledge me, let me know if you're too busy and can't take a second drink order, but will be back later; I'm not a high-maintenance person. Every time, though, they walk past me over and over again and ignore me without a word. At this point, with the way our economy is and how burnt out people are, it can kind of ruin your night when you have horrible service. This is a local place for me, literally right down the street, and I will not be returning, sadly. The servers for table service are incredible, but stay away from the bar; it's an awful experience EVERY TIME. I'm so bummed, dining out is a privilege I can't indulge in regularly. The bartender couldn't even apologize for the terrible service. Twenty minutes of sitting there with an empty glass and an empty plate and not even a half-full bar, and I had to flag her down to pay. Despite all of that, I still gave 20% and was still polite, yet she had the audacity to appear riled that I was clearly frustrated with the experience. I don't even blame the staff; management is clearly failing their patrons. Regardless, don't go here if you're alone, looking for a nice night out with a book and a good meal. Such a massive disappointment and a waste of time and money.

Google
Lovely French atmosphere with a well executed selection of brunch and dinner selections. Enjoyed a nice Sunday brunch - wasn’t too busy with accessible parking underground. Service was great, coffee seems sponsored by lavazza. Good espresso drinks. Delicious pastries. Loved the quiche and sandwich options. Very cheesy, very good. Quiche was fluffy and quite savory.

Yelp
This place is trying to give "Fine dining vibes" without fine dining food. I tried the steak frites and the gnocchi and the beef tartare. And everything was bland. Truly mid. We had upgraded to the truffle fries and they were stale and both overcooked and undercooked??? Soggy but double fried while they sat too long under the heat lamp? Just bad all together:/ it was pretty disappointing. The only thing that stood out were the NC oysters and the cocktails. Service was okay. I think our server could've been more knowledgeable on the menu. I'm only coming back for the oysters.

Yelp
It was a dark cold, rainy night, and I needed something to warm more than just my body, but my soul as well! Walking into this restaurant transports you to a beautiful spot in Paris, France, the smells, the smiles, and the faces, I knew I was in the right place. I started with the French onion soup, best I've had outside of Europe! I moved onto the beef Bourginion & WOW the flavors were a symphony of praise, warming my soul! I splurged and got the profiteroles for dessert, what a treat! I cannot recommend this place enough do yourself a favor and find a little taste of France in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Yelp
I had never tried French cuisine before but if this is what French food tastes like then I'm a fan! At Coquette both the interior and exterior are beautifully designed, giving the restaurant such a charming, elevated feel. The service is phenomenal every time. The staff is attentive and warm. And the food... I fell in love with both the entrees and the sides. Everything is packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. I've already been back a few times since my first visit and the consistency has been amazing.

Yelp
Coquette is a legitimate French bistro. The environment is carefully crafted to create the look and feel. The menu is right out of Paris. The food was a little disappointing, not bad but not as good as it should be. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Another wonderful brunch experience at Coquette. I came with a friend on a Sunday around 10:30 and we were quickly sat. We decided to split a bottle of the sparkling rose, which was crisp and chilled, then I got the Croque Monsieur and she got the quiche du jor, which I believe had cheese and butternut squash in it. We were both satisfied with our meals and our drinks. Our waitress was incredibly professional and attentive. If you're in Raleigh and looking for a brunch spot, this is one of my favorite places to go.

Yelp
Lovely ambience, high end without being stuffy or pretentious- so it is perfect for a meal with coworkers or to celebrate a special occasion. The service was nice and courteous too. The meal was really nice- each dish hit the mark. We had the char grilled octopus- tender and awesome flavors. The potato croquettes were pure comfort and the beet salad was good too. The salmon with risotto- perfect in both texture and flavor 10/10!! My co workers loved their beef bourguignon! And I finished off with the crème brulee- photo finish! Perfectly executed! Certainly one of the most delicious meals!

Yelp
I've been here before. Decor is VERY French with the petite two seaters, dim lights, red leather seats, sexy ambiance. Today i had thier escargot and paté. Can i just say: BEST paté I've ever had! It tasted so good i almost cried. The texture, the meatiness, the flavors were Amazing. That escargot is always good, very delicate yet potent with that garlic. Our waitress was very helpful and sweet. Thank you all for a great anniversary treat

Yelp
If you're looking for way overpriced food, that tastes nothing like France, and is wall-to-wall with a snooty "ladies who lunch" pretentious atmosphere (including tasteful neutral clothing), then Coquette Brasserie may just be your place! We had brunch for 3 here and were less than impressed by the offerings. In fact, most of the food on our plate was left unfinished. A croque monsieur offering, which should have been easy not to screw up, was in fact, screwed up pretty badly. The ham was cheap and far too salty, and did not melt in your mouth like the thinly-sliced, delicious ham that I had in Paris, so the bar here is set embarrassingly low. Side salads came fresh from the ubiquitous plastic bag, another disappointment, with some lettuce leaves served well past their prime. Although the food was less than inspiring, also called "awful", this fact did not stop the well-heeled, or aspirationally well-heeled diners, from eating their meals with annoying pretentiousness, that the food hardly deserved. Ladies, if you're going to be snooty AF when you dine, at least choose a place where the food is absolutely delicious! And please, do respect the other diners who know what great French food is supposed to taste like. Fir instance, when a casual diner dressed in casual clothing stands up to leave the establishment, it would be oh-so-polite not to give them the head-to-toe, "mean girls" stare-down. After all, if you're going to eat with your precious pinkies in the air, a little manners would be helpful as well. As for the food, there is simply no helping the food at Coquette Brasserie.

Yelp
So I walked inside the place was beautiful very nice decor. Bar area was fun. I asked to look at the menu and they had Coke Madame oh my God so good and I had a cocktail that was a love potion and they added vodka to it totally to die for Fabulous place. The service was excellent. The food amazing now I did take my food to go so I will take a picture of it, but I started eating it so I'm sorry.

Yelp
Came for dinner on my last evening in Raleigh on a weekday and was seated right away (no reservation). Our server was helpful and accommodating to our requests which included a last minute drink change request. At the end of the meal, he even split our bill for us without us having to ask to do so. I ordered the coq au vin which was alright but I was more so impressed with the portion. I was quite full by the end. The place itself was cute and decorated like a brasserie - A nice mix of intimate and casual. If you're in the neighborhood and craving French, could be worth a try.

Yelp
so good! I came here for my sisters birthday lunch and it did not disappoint. We dined at about 1pm on a Monday and were one of very few diners at the time. For my meal I got the tuna Niçoise salad and it truly was one of the best salads I've had. Nice portion, good amount of salad "toppings" and dressing. My mom and sister both got the field greens salad with chicken and salmon. My only complaint is the size of the piece of salmon on my mom's salad- it was TINY TINY. As far as service- our server was very kind and made sure we had what we needed. The manager brought our food out accompanied by an apology for the time it took to come out (we all agreed we didn't think it took long:)) To end our meal our server brought out 3 little macarons with a candle in it as a complementary birthday treat for my sister. I will definitely be returning!

Chearin L.

Yelp
Such an amazing experience! The food was delicious! The atmosphere was elegant and peaceful. Our service was wonderful as the server was very attentive to us and super friendly. I also tried the crème brûlée for dessert. I forgot to take a picture, but it was definitely one of the best desserts I've had.

Kate T.

Yelp
We had a lovely birthday dinner with nicely prepared French food that was delicious. They are working out the duck breast, which was dry, but the sauce and accompaniments were outstanding! I have to commend them for real "pours" instead of a chichi wine glass with 1/3 cup of wine in it. A glass of wine should last the entire meal and they've nailed that. Also, I might recommend more typical french pastries (I'm a past pastry chef) with a twist to modernize them. Coffee eclairs, with praline sprinkled on top; a Napoleon with an exotic fruit, passion maybe? Real chocolate mousse ( just eggs and dark chocolate) with a dot a real whipped cream and a cordial of Grand Marnier on the side; a baba au rhum with pistachios - things like that. We will be back to try the steak frites!

Yelp
Came on Labor Day for a late lunch with my wife. Because it's in North Hills, there was plenty of parking nearby. We ordered the truffle frites, seafood crepe and the salmon as they were out of boeuf bourguignon. Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Food: 5/5 Everything was really delicious. The complementary bread and butter was great. The fries were absolutely amazing! The salmon was perfectly cooked. And the seafood crepe was one of the best crepes I've had in a while with the seafood perfectly cooked and the rich sauce tying everything together. Price: 4.5/5 French restaurants are never cheap but the price was reasonable. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
We were recommended the fried oysters as an appetizer. They were decent; I think I'd go another route next time. Seared Salmon was good, portion size was nice. Moules Frites was a highlight. Ambiance of the restaurant was great. They could use to be more attentive to their washrooms as there was trash on the floor and an overall feeling of less than well kept going on. We got a bottle of Sauvignon blanc that was light and refreshing. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. I'd recommend checking this place out if you are looking for a nice French restaurant experience.

Yelp
Hello, so I've lived in Raleigh for a long time, this was my first time ever going here. I always thought it was a dessert place but it's not. Anyway let's get to the point, it was very busy on a Saturday, they oyster was delicious. Very flavorful & fresh. The SCALLOPS on the other hand was rancid and then they tried to gaslight me & say the chef tried one & they not bad. The fact that it smelled like ammonia when it was placed in front of me, I even cut into more than one, tried a half of one spit it out. Is absurd for you to tell me it wasn't bad. So they replace it either some beef dish that was just ok. So thank you for that. I don't play with my health & I don't feel like your chef should either especially with bad seafood.

Christine B.

Yelp
Chicken "confit" were two fast baked or broiled chicken legs NOT confit preparation - there were terribly terribly tough even for baked chicken - so disappointing!! I left the second piece untouched and instead finished my wine and meal by just eating the bread and butter . I suggested to the waitress that she share some feedback to the chef about the poor quality of the chicken legs but when I asked her if she did she said not yet but will at some point. I don't hold out no confidence that she will. She didn't really seem to care either way she got her tip. That's all that mattered. I will never ever come again

Yelp
Came out one Saturday night in August for our first time -- the food, drinks, service were great but honestly, the air conditioning really put a huge damper on the whole evening. We were dressed "normal" - I always try to bring a sweater into restaurants no matter what time of year b/c ... this (waves arms) but this was a.lot. Left feeling like we were popsicles which was not fun. On a positive note, people sitting at the bar/high tops seemed to have a different vibe vs the tables/banquets so next time, we'd do that. We will try again!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Welcoming and professional staff. The host didn't follow the seating request I made in my reservation. I connected with a waiter who I found to be extremely engaging before I was moved to a booth out of her area. I'm happy this was accommodated (after I asked). Food: The highlight was the fresh spring mix with the vinegarette dressing and my glass of sparkling rose. Loved it! I ordered the Omelet Lorraine but the omelet that came to my table did not have the meat in it, so I assumed they gave me a veggie omelet. The empathy on this mix-up was extremely delayed. The warm brie biscuit wasn't my style. Way too wet on the inside with a doughy texture I guess from the Brie. I'm not sure. Nothing here wowed me and I think I ordered pretty basic things that are very hard to mess up. Overall aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and a nice spot for catching up over brunch with good friends.

Yelp
Not bad but not great. The place was half full on a Wednesday when we came; we were seated quickly and the service was fine enough, though the beers took a while. The food was average. We order a mussel and fries dinner as an appetizer to share; that was the best part of the meal. The sauce they came in was very good, and the fries were crisp. The French bread that came with dinner was underwhelming- nothing like a real baguette. I had the Beef Bourgonion- it was OK, but pretty salty and I thought it was kind of weird to be served with mashed potatoes, I think it would have gone better with noodles or rice.

Martin Q.

Yelp
French inspired bistro. My spouse chose the croque madame which was so good because of the quality ham, reminds me the ham of Paris with the soft bread. I chose the Coquette Burger, it was a burger with a regular croissant instead of a bun. It was ok but I have had better. The food was fine, the service and cleanliness were lacking. The silverware wasn't polished so I asked for another one and at the end they charged us for the wrong amount but corrected it once I alerted the server about it. Not expensive for what we ordered I guess.

Yelp
Great service and delicious food! Came in while shopping because I heard they had really good French onion soup and it did not disappoint!

Yelp
Not sure if we came on a bad day, but we were extremely underwhelmed with our visit. Came in around 10:30 on Sunday for brunch, it was busy but we didn't expect to wait 20 minutes for a server to even come over to us. Our waitress ended up being very nice but overall, we waited forever to put in our orders & for the food to come out. For an appetizer we got the charcuterie board which was tiny for $26. Was not the greatest I've had for that price and size, don't recommend. The redeeming part of the restaurant were the mains, the quiche Lorraine was fantastic and so was the short rib Benedict. However, the lack of service and the underwhelming appetizer and atmosphere put this at 2 stars max. In sum: service takes too long, small portions for a high price, not worth the money or the time. If you do go however, get the quiche.

Yelp
Dinner with French people at a French restaurant - food was judged hard and it passed. I personally liked the coq qui vin and the Brussels sprouts were amazing! Very crispy! The escargots were nice but I've had better. Quantities were huge! Be prepared to box your food or come with an appetite! Excellent service! Our server was so sweet and friendly. I tried the pink panther based on her suggestion and it was a nice drink. Recommend

Yelp
Dined here for brunch yesterday and the food and service was nothing short of amazing. The temperature of the place was the only issue we faced as maybe their air wasn't working? Many customers were fanning themselves so it wasn't just my party feeling it. We had the seafood crepe and the quiche du jour and both were delicious! The seafood crepe had fresh shrimp and scallops in a lobster bisque like sauce. The texture and freshness were spectacular and I'll definitely be back to order this dish again. The quiche of the day was a spinach, mushroom, and Gruyère quiche. It was executed beautifully with the silkiest softest egg portion and an expertly cooked crust. Our waiter was attentive and very personable. He mentioned their drinks of the day and I indulged in the iced coffee cocktail. He mentioned he makes suggestions for the new drinks so I assured him the iced coffee one should be on the menu! The amaretto cream on top was so good! I'll definitely be back for more food from this gem, and hopefully the AC issue will be fixed.

Yelp
May 2025 I just got home from having dinner with two girlfriends at Coquettes in North Hills. The atmosphere was lovely, with a very friendly staff. I ordered the "Beet Salad" and the "Muscles Frites". I was so disappointed with my meal. The beets were boiled to death and had no color or flavor, the yellow ones were inedible. The Muscles were overcooked and disintegrated as I tried to retrieve them from the shells. The Frites were great as was the bread and butter. I did not say anything to server as it is not her fault, and I was not looking for a free meal. I do hope that this gets back to the chef. I cannot recommend Coquettes as of today, and do not plan on ever eating there again.

Yelp
***FOOD: brunch was ok. Quiche was dry and not enough ham and way too salty. Beef short rib was salty & too much gravy which made the entire dish mushy soggy. Love the salad that came with it. For this price point think it should have been stellar. I guess it's more for the ambience and location and a convenient place to meet friends for brunch. ***COST (OUT OF 4$) $$$ ***DÉCOR: French bistro, European restaurant decor ***SERVICE: food took a very very long time. Server didn't really check on us. Had to ask for missing silverware & more water. ***RECOMMEND: meh maybe RECOMMEND if in the area or friends suggest get together again.

Yelp
So happy to find this cozy and bustling brasserie with amazing food! Although busy, we were able to get a table easily around six on a Tuesday night. Parking in North Hills was a little more challenging, but we found a spot. We started with Oysters on the half shell and escargots - yum! And we thoroughly enjoyed the salmon special with buerre blanc and steak frites. You can find the dinner menu at this link https://www.coquetteraleigh.com/dinner/. The Kiss de Francais cocktail was delicious also. I wish we had room for Vanilla bean creme brûlée. I'd like to give a big shout-out to our server Sarah! She was the most personable, attentive, and efficient server I have had in a long time. Don't forget to wal around North Hills after you eat. It is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Coquette's rocks!

Yelp
If you love authentic French cuisine, great service with sophisticated elegance at a reasonable price, this is the best place to go! A friend of mine who lived in Paris said that Coquette reminded him of all the great restaurants in Paris. He was thrilled to discover Coquette. Please discover Coquette. It's a treasure - my favorite restaurant in Raleigh!

Yelp
Came here for a birthday celebration and celebrate we did. The staff were very sweet and attentive. Drinks were spot on. Food was great. We had the steak and frites and seafood dish. It is hard to decide what to have because they have a nice selection on the menu. Prices are on the spendy side but you just cannot get this food and environment anywhere so splurge a little and enjoy your day.

Yelp
I had a good time at Coquette. The food , service n ambiance were good. I think the cocktail could be better . The steak a bit dry though. Among all the dishes I like the scallops.

Yelp
A lovely Parisian corner in Raleigh! The ambiance is nice, on the bougie side but still welcoming. We meant to come for brunch but ended up joining in their in between hours between brunch and dinner when they had their Les Hors D'Oeuvres menu. Although slightly disappointed initially, we ended up being impressed! We started the Warm Brie Biscuits and my mouth was watering the entire dish..the marrying of the cheese and the berry compote was absolutely perfect. We then got the potatoes croquettes that came with a darling truffle aioli and it absolutely melted in my mouth. As for our main dishes, we got the steak frites with the NY strip and that was just okay. They cooked it to the perfect temperature but even with the maître d'hôtel butter we chose, there was still very little flavor to the meat itself. Now the seafood crepe? Delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by how the flavors came together in a crepe (which I tend to perceive as a snack or breakfast food). I got the Pink Panther which was strong in a good way! My friend got the Kiss François that she described to be delightfully sweet. I'd also like to mention that the manager was so kind and attentive to us for our entire visit, I'd come back for the customer service alone. Give this place a try!

Yelp
We had an amazing experience celebrating a birthday at Coquette Brasserie! The food and drinks were, overall, fantastic, and the service was phenomenal. Definitely recommend making a reservation. We came pretty early, around 5:30, and made a reservation just in case. It was pretty empty when we first arrived, but by the time our appetizers arrived, most tables were full. The restaurant has a cozy, timeless feel, and it would be great for a date night as well. Service was amazing. Even my parents, who don't really put much stock into service quality when evaluating restaurants, were impressed by the service. We let the restaurant know ahead of time that we were bringing a birthday cake, and they were not only ok with it, but helped us store it while we were eating, and brought it out for us, candles lit, at the end of our meal. The food and drink were overall quite tasty! I've never had French food before so I was excited to try everything. Here's the list: Appetizers: Duck liver mousse: slightly sweet, earthy but not pungent. Served with slices of apple and baguette slices drizzled with balsamic. The mousse tasted super fresh and was whipped to a perfect fluffy texture. There was too little bread for the amount of topping, but the complimentary bread we got worked like a charm as well. Potato croquettes: Fried to a perfect crisp, with a silky, flavorful inside. The sauce was delicious as well! Each order comes with three large pieces. Lyonnaise Salad: Clean, crisp veggies, perfect poached egg, tangy sauce, indulgent French bacon, what's not to like??!? Main Course: Seared scallops: I got this dish, and enjoyed every bite. I find scallops to be bland and rubbery sometimes but these were not only perfectly cooked, but served with a flavor PACKED butternut squash puree. Combined with the kale and quinoa, this was a healthy, satisfying dish with so many fun textures and flavors. I CLEANED my plate. If I were at home, I would lick it too XD. Coq au Vin: I tried a bite, and the sauce was incredible!! The chicken was tender, and the mashed potatoes were perfectly smooth. Duck cassoulet: The duck and beans were amazing, super rich with a hint of sweetness. However, the beans were also incredibly salty, which was a bummer for this almost perfect dish. Steak frites: cooked to a perfect medium, pleasantly smoky exterior. I didn't try the fries but other members of our table enjoyed them a lot. Drinks: I wanted the melon-lime fizz but unfortunately they were out of the melon liqueur. Our waiter recommended the pink panther, which was DELICIOUS. It was the perfect balance between the sweet and liquor taste (so many drinks tend to lean too heavily in one direction or another for my tastes). I also got the ginger old fashioned, which tasted significantly stronger. I didn't taste any ginger, to be totally honest. Only bourbon. Birthday cake made it go down easier, but I definitely preferred the pink panther. Overall, an excellent, upscale restaurant with good food and great service. Great for special occasions, or just for feeling a little fancy!

Yelp
Been there twice now for Sunday Brunch, our fave meal to eat out. Just a great place with quality food, top tier service and terrific drink selection. I'm hooked on their espresso martini, so good. We've tried an omelette, pancakes, quiche as well as the starter of pastry plate and Brie biscuits (actually a single round biscuit in a skillet big enough to share). All hot, fresh and tastefully presented. We're hooked and will be back again! Dinging one star for noise level inside and lack of outdoor dining which were not dealbreakers but is a must for 5 stars....

Yelp
Coquette is a staple in my dine-out rotation and a go-to for a visit when I have company in town. As a lover of French cuisine, I've found everything I've had at Coquette to be the perfect portion size, full of flavor, but never too rich or indulgent that I didn't want finish the meal. It's impossible to eat here and not order the warm Brie biscuits. They're perfectly sweet and comforting, paired with a mild Brie and jam on top. I've found myself ordering the Boeuf Bourguignon more and more because its filling and flavorful but still feels like a good-for-me meal. And while I usually choose from their excellent wine list, I've also had some great, well-crafted cocktails. Service is always attentive and swift, and especially friendly, no matter if I'm seated in the dining room or at the bar. I also love the feel when you walk through the door; it's buzzing with good convo and empty plates. Big fan of Coquette and can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
We had a group lunch for 11 people, and the restaurant was able to accommodate our seating. A majority of people either had seafood crepe, chicken sandwiches, or burgers. Depending on the dish ordered, ratings varied from a 3 to a 4. Those who had the seafood crepe felt the dish size was a bit small while those had the burger felt the portion size was more than ample. The chicken sandwich fell a bit short. Mine had a bone in it, and the taste was basic. The consensus was that this was a four-star restaurant

Yelp
What a lovely Saturday we had! It felt as if we were transported to a Bistro Cafe in the middle of Paris! The ambiance was perfect; delightfully cozy, charming, whimsical and refined! As soon as we arrived we were cordially greeted by Joe, the manager. He was courteous and kind. We had the pleasure of being served by the very gracious Madison. She was extremely knowledgeable and guided us on our selection. The food was "DIVINE" and the cost very reasonable. My family and I highly recommend COQUETTE BRASSERIE!!! :)

Yelp
We came here for brunch and it's still really good, but service was a little wonky this visit. I chose to eat light this round. I got the French onion soup, salad, and truffle fries. The fries needed more salt, but everything thing else was great.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here for Saturday lunch and couldn't believe we had never dined here before. Coquette Brasserie gets a very easy 5 stars from us! The service was quick, efficient and pleasant. The atmosphere was upscale but welcoming, beautifully decorated and clean. We started with the Warm Brie Biscuits. The biscuits had the fluffiest and creamiest consistency and the blueberry compote was the perfect amount of sweetness. This is a must order. Speaking of must orders, I had the Quiche Lorraine as my entree and have not stopped thinking about it all day. So fluffy and flavorful and paired well with the side salad. My husband had the Steak Sandwich which was also delicious! He subbed the fries for truffle frites and they did not disappoint.

Yelp
Visited for the first time during Sunday brunch. The ambiance inside is quite enjoyable; however I believe I caught them on an off day. The HVAC was not working so it was very cold inside and the service was quite slow. I tried the omelette du jour and it was tasty. The fruit salad was lackluster but that's unsurprising during the winter. Overall, it was good enough to make me want to give it another try.

Yelp
I have had the pleasure of dining at Coquette on multiple occasions and I have yet to have a bad meal there. The French onion soup is lovely as is the croque monsieur but the star for me has to be the brussel sprouts. They have bacon lardons and pearl onions in it which are fantastic. The staff is lovely and friendly every time I have been there but they do get quite busy, especially on weekends. Best idea on the weekend is to make reservations or roll the dice and hope you can find a seat in the bar area. I'm more of a reservation guy, myself. The only downside I have found is the parking on the weekends, but then if you are at North Hills for any business that is a struggle regardless.

Yelp
I hate to say this but the service was terrible and they did not disclose that they put fennel in the tuna Niçoise salad (I'm VERY allergic) and after I ate a bite of it with the fennel and I told them they weren't apologetic and asked me if I wanted another one without fennel uhhhhh yeah also how about you list your ingredients on the menu??? The floor manager said "yeah we don't list all the ingredients" well literally EVERY other ingredient was listed. we won't be coming back.

Yelp
Coquette was the choice for brunch this month and the restaurant was hopping with people. Service was not as good as usual so that was disappointing. I order the same dish here most of the time so got the steak frites again. The waitress forgot the steak knife that is normally brought out before the food is served but the meat was tender enough that the butter knife cut it. They give a good sized portion of steak and fries and it was cooked as ordered. I love the profiteroles so went with that dessert again. They had raspberry ice cream and a chocolate rice krispie part and the chocolate sauce. The problem was I was given a fork to eat this and the chocolate kept dripping out of the fork prongs and all over my shirt instead of my mouth so I didn't get much of the chocolate. The waitress was to find me a spoon but never came back with one. With our checks, she also dumped all the check presenters in the middle of the table which is a pet peeve of mine. Hopefully service will be better next time.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorite lunch spots in Raleigh. Great to go shopping before or after in north hills!

Yelp
Wow! We decided to try for brunch and let's say they did not disappoint one bit. I ate here years ago for my wedding anniversary and we had a great experience as well. Their brunch takes it to another level. The bread is delicious , Brussel sprouts had bacon fat with small grilled onions and fresh cream . Amazing! Seafood crepe had large lumps of lobster and scallops, the seafood sauce on top was delicious. Their $4 mimosa is one of the best I've had. I had plenty of food to take home, which is always a plus. And the service was great as well. This is a hidden gem!

Yelp
The manager greeted us at the door and seated us. Very attractive furnishings in the bistro style - tile floor, sturdy bar, period fixtures. Ordered Croque Monsieur, Croque Madame and Trout Almondine. All servings well-proportioned and delicious. Generous use of Gruyere. Beer selection was abridged because of an ongoing inventory, so I ordered a Bloody Mary which was fine. Wait staff checked in often. Reasonable prices. A fine lunch.
