"Later in the afternoon, I met with another source in Brentwood. We landed at Coral Tree Café, where I got a sunburn talking to this person, who was generous with their time, for four and a half hours. I ordered smoked-salmon toast and a chopped salad and iced green tea, but really only drank the tea."

The restaurant is located west of UCLA, Veterans Administration and the 405 freeway. There is metered street in front of the restaurant extending for more than a block. The menu is extensive and posted on the wall and menus provided by the restaurant. Orders a place at the counter. After the meals I paid for the cashier gives you a sign with a number to be placed on the table. The prices were reasonable. The service was good. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is very large and accommodate large groups of diners.

Google
Lovely corner Cafe with cafeteria style standing in line ordering, then finding a seat inside or out. Dogs are welcome outside, but watch for the fire pits as they do get hot. Food and drinks were good and plenty of seating was available. Parking is either via valet or you can find enough on the streets around the corner. California fresh with lots of choices. Definitely recommend stopping by and we didn't reserve in advanced.

Coral Tree Café in Brentwood is one of those rare gems that manages to check every box—great for a casual business lunch, a solo coffee, or just catching up with a friend over something fresh and flavorful. The food is consistently solid, with plenty of healthy options that still feel hearty. I had the lentil soup today—rich, well-seasoned, and honestly satisfying in a way that most cafés just don’t deliver. Their coffee? Always on point. Service inside is friendly and attentive, but I have to give a special shoutout to the parking lot team, which is crucial in this neighborhood where parking is otherwise a nightmare. Fernando, in particular, is a standout—greeted me with a smile and had me in and out quickly without stress. He somehow keeps things moving with calm efficiency, which sets the tone for the whole visit. Brentwood has no shortage of polished cafés, but Coral Tree stands out by making things easy, delicious, and just a little bit better than expected. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to—not flashy, just dependable in the best way.

Coral tree is always my favorite place. It’s been a long time I came this location. This time was stop for drink but I normally like their salad and sandwiches. This time I tried Mint Matcha Latte What a combination?? I like it a lot.

Google
Love this Seed oil free cafe! I’ve only tried the Gluten-free artichoke chicken panini and it is fabulous. The bread is buttered perfectly! It comes with a tender salad with very light dressing. I also tried the cauli and Mac cheese and that was good too. My husband had the bistro steak and he really like it. We will be back for more for sure!!!

Google
Nice spot. They serve breakfast until 3 PM. Delicious coffee with seasonal options. Some vegan and great Veg options clearly marked.

Google
A relaxed and reliable spot with a great mix of healthy and hearty options. I especially liked their kale salad, which was fresh, well-balanced, and satisfying. The iced Americano is a bit on the bitter side, but if you’re feeling adventurous, the pistachio cold foam adds a unique twist that smooths it out nicely. A solid choice for a casual lunch or quick coffee break.

Google
Great spot! Good food in a casual environment with great outdoor seating. Can get a bit loud when crowded, but not too bad Highly recommend the egg white bowl with chicken — it was so flavorful and delicious, big portion too. We also ordered the chocolate chip pancakes which I thought were good, but very light on the chocolate chips for me.

Yelp
First time visiting with my family and we all loved every sip and bite. Things ordered Fresh meadow eggs scrambled with chives and gyrure cheese on top a crunchy toast Breakfast burrito with potatoes Eggs Benedict and a salad Crusty bread with butter and homemade jam Lattes and fresh apple juice so good You order at the counter and they bring it to you. It was timely. The restaurant is clean and enjoyable

Yelp
Coral Tree Cafe in Brentwood is a fantastic spot for a healthy lunch. The menu offers a great selection of nutritious options, perfect for those looking to enjoy a wholesome meal. For those who prefer an alcoholic beverage, they also have a variety of drinks available. The ordering process is straightforward: you place your order inside, receive a number, and then choose a seat either inside or outside. The tables are spacious, making it a convenient spot for working or studying. The outdoor seating area is particularly pleasant, providing a relaxed atmosphere in the fresh air. One thing to note is that the cafe offers valet parking, which is located on Darlington Ave. Make sure to get your ticket validated to avoid any parking hassles. Overall, Coral Tree Cafe is a great choice for a health-conscious meal in a comfortable and inviting setting.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in today for his birthday brunch. I got the shakshuka and he ordered the veggie Benedict. This was our first time here and I thought the ordering at the bar and self seating was pretty quick and easy. But... it took about 25 min for our order to come out, which was surprising. My husband and I are both vegetarian and, unfortunately, there ended up being a couple chunks of bacon in his. He bit into one thinking it was a mushroom but spit it out and realized it was meat. Pretty disappointing in general, but especially because it was his birthday. The food was good but expensive and for the price, I'd expect the veggie to be kept separate from any meat.

Yelp
Great food! Came here multiple times and it was well worth it. Love the amount of avocado used in the burrito it makes all the difference
google avatar

Lucy L.

Yelp
5 stars for the environment and 2 stars for the food. The most mid breakfast dishes with a very high price point for what you get. I got a vanilla latte that was also quite disappointing. The pear tart was pretty much just a crumbly buttery shell with no pear flavor.

Yelp
Wow, my second review! I'm not one to write these often, but my niece is visiting from out of town, and we decided to stop by this cafe that I've heard so much about. Let me just say, it did not disappoint! First of all, the food was fantastic. I ordered the avocado toast, and it was probably the best I've ever had--fresh and perfectly seasoned. My niece tried one of their pastries, and she enjoyed it. The coffee was spot-on too. The service? Absolutely wonderful. The young woman who helped us was so sweet and patient while my niece and I debated over the menu. Then, to top it off, Terry (the manager, I believe?) came over to check in on us personally. He was so friendly and engaging, chatting with us for a bit and even offering my niece a job when he found out she was in the city for a few weeks. I thought that was such a thoughtful and generous gesture--it really left an impression. The atmosphere here is alright, We'll definitely be back when in this area. Thank you to Terry and the staff!

Yelp
I tried their new dinner menu and it was delicious! I ordered the turkey bolognese, my friend for steak frites, and we shared the kale salad and roasted carrots. I was excited to see their cocktail menu. We got the Moscow mule and Margarita. Both good and strong. You definitely get a great portion for your buck and I was so happy to have more for leftovers. I really like Coral Tree Cafe for its casual setting, large menu, great service, and inviting atmosphere. The surrounding restaurants can be a bit posh, so it's refreshing to have a place like CTC where you can come as you are throughout the day.

Kia J.

Yelp
Found this place on uber eats and was excited to try because of the turkey bolognese (I don't eat beef/pork), but was thoroughly disappointed!! The bolognese is spice less/flavorless and the meat to pasta ratio is absurd (there was little to no bolognese and hella spaghetti). Now I see why they have "extra sauce" listed as an immediate $4.54 add on. The portions must be purposefully small so they make extra money off you. Won't be ordering again!

Yelp
This gem is located close to the UCLA Health in Westwood, so I stop by for good latte and yummy brunch food. Their pancake is superb!
google avatar

Yelp
Fresh food, casual atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fire pit, live music in certain days, Happy hour!
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
High prices for low food quality. Mediocre food to meet Brentwood rents perhaps. $21 for a scramble which was a tiny bit of eggs and a few lettuce leafs with no dressing. $3.90 to add salsa to an egg dish? $2.60 for "avocado" (which was hardly detectable - see photo). Not worth it. Taste, mediocre at best.

Yelp
Came here for a paint night class. This is a typical cafe with a good amount of seating. Parking can be hard to find, so make sure that you give yourself ample time in advance to find a spot on the street. The ambiance is laid-back and casual, I could see this being a good place on a weeknight to do some work or catch up with a friend. Food is ordered at the front and I tried the chicken panini. tasted fresh but I would have liked more chicken in the sandwich. They came with the food quickly which makes sense as at the time I was there there were not many customers beyond those in the class.

Yelp
I came to CTC earlier this week for lunch with a colleague. The restaurant was spacious and had a lot of seating. It was reminiscent of a house actually. It had a unique and eclectic aesthetic. The menu had a good variety of breakfast & lunch options. I ordered a breakfast burrito with a peach tea with lemonade, a la "Arnold Palmer". The customer service was great from the cashier, she was very sweet and complimentary. The wait time for our food was very short, which we appreciated. The food was good, the burrito was massive and filling. The only thing I can complain about was that it was a bit warm inside, because the doors were open. As a result, there were flies coming in. Also, the price was a little steep, but it's in Brentwood, so that is to be expected. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I'll be back.
google avatar

Charisma H.

Yelp
In a word, mediocre. Coral Tree has a lot of potential that's wholly wasted. It's a beautiful space with high ceilings, natural light and fire pits. But the food and the coffee are just so ehhhh. The menu sounds promising but the food is just so uninspired. If they used organic ingredients, their health food forward menu would taste a lot better. Mendo and sweet green down the road have better salads. The coffee always doesn't have enough espresso. I've been several times and I've tried to like it, but I just can't endorse it. On the plus side, it does have ample outlets for working.
google avatar

Yelp
The cashier was an Asian girl not helpful seemed or appeared as if she did not want to be there bad attitude not helpful. They serve salmon which is farm raised for $23 for a salad. That's ridiculous. We ordered three items each time I come here it's just like a cafeteria. The service is horrible. The bathroom was clean smelt like a sewer, I've been here since and I'm always disappointed was the cashier she made the visit definitely not worth it. I hope you get some help or more training and if you don't wanna work on Friday, don't come in the server was just as bad poor service salads were good. The wine was good not worth going wasting your money was $100 for a waste of money, that's my last visit

Yelp
Cute café, lot of options for healthy and comfortable food - lot of seating inside and outside
google avatar

Divya J.

Yelp
A cute place with a great, rustic vibe. Their coconut latte is a winner! Chips and guac- a little tol salty, but rich in flavor. Quite a few vegetarian (and some vegan) options. Good service; highly recommend for the ambience and coffee!
google avatar

Alice H.

Yelp
A cute spot to get brunch for sure. A good amount of seating, although it can definitely get crowded on weekends. The food is average - a little overpriced for what you get. I do like their cafe potatoes a lot, but everything else is just okay. The parking can definitely be better. It's valet only, and there is never street parking available. The staff are usually friendly, and I always tip them even though I don't know if that's absolutely necessary since you order the food cafeteria-style and have to refill your own water.

Yelp
Hard Pass! Do not come here ! Trust me. If you must, stay away from their breakfast burrito! This might be the worst breakfast burrito I've ever had the displeasure of having in the Los Angeles area. To add insult to injury, it was insanely expensive. At 20$, it's a double whammy. Any fast food restaurant or even a 24/7 convenience store would be a better option. Guaranteed. This really put my palate through the gauntlet. I don't know what happened here to yield such a twisted concoction. The breakfast burrito was mushy, bland, and the egg was watery bits of soup like substance and had a texture of like little pieces of rice grain. It was almost as if the chef cooked the eggs in a vat of milk. It was beyond disgusting. I've never had guacamole in a breakfast burrito. And this will be the first and last time. It did nothing to compensate for the botched scrambled egg job, and the chef should be ashamed of his work because honestly, how hard is it to make a breakfast burrito? And while the side of potatoes was great, I'm not gonna give anything more than a well-deserved 1-star because I spent twenty dollars for something that had no right to be served or presented to anyone. Ridiculous!
google avatar

George W.

Yelp
I have tried matcha in many places, and I would say that the matcha here is within the top 10% of places I've tried. It's thick and I know they are using an adequate amount of matcha, since it is not too milky or watery. I can taste the powder - not in a bad way as if it was not dissolved - but as in the drink leaves a deep matcha flavor on my tongue. I can feel the health benefits immediately. Worth the 7$. The banana latte is delicious, and I like that it comes as a double shot. I like that it's not overpoweringly milky. The service was friendly, but my table was very sticky when I sat down and it took a while for them to clean it (not that busy) I like the ambiance here. It feels like I'm in an outdoor cafe in a nature conservatory.
google avatar

Jada M.

Yelp
Perfect place to come with a book and read in the corner, work on work, or just enjoy eating outside or inside. Very spacious, great service. Parking is a little risky but they have valet in the back or you can easily find street parking. I had the turkey sandwich with a side salad, nothing special but the food is really fresh!

Yelp
Ambiance: spacious cafeteria for brunch, outdoor seating, large high ceiling dining hall, and back door patio Service: you place the order at the counter with cashier and grab a number, they will serve you food by looking for the table with number tag Food & Drink: numerous items from their breakfast, and lunch and dinner menu Breakfast Burrito - *** Zacatecas-style chicken chorizo scrambled organic eggs, roasted hash (potatoes, peppers, & onions), smashed avocado & Tillamook cheddar wrapped in a tortilla. Served with house-made pico de gallo and the choice of café potatoes. Heavily on eggs and avocado, barely found other protein, stingy ground meat wrapped inside. Steak Panini - **** Prime sirloin steak, barbecue onions, Roma tomatoes, mayo, smashed avocado, and provolone cheese, served with house salad, the panini was very crunchy and perfectly made medium well steak, balanced flavors, though salad was not fresh and tasted too plain, nearly no dressing, still recommend for the steak panini itself Coral Tree Organic Brew - *** mediocre drip coffee, too sour Price: moderate portions and above average prices for brunch, it costs about $25~$30 per person

Yelp
Came for Mother's Day and even though it was crowded, there was still plenty of room. Hash browns are a toss up but when they're good, they're soooo good. Mac n cheese had no flavor, but maybe it's supposed to be like that. Paninis are mouth watering but beware, it'll scratch up the roof of your mouth if you bite too big haha.
google avatar

Greg G.

Yelp
I tried the Chinese Chicken Salad, Rosemary Chicken Sandwich, Lox Toast and iced matcha latte. The iced matcha latte is subtly sweet and refreshing. The lox toast was really tasty but I think my favorite items were the Chinese chicken salad and the rosemary chicken sandwich. Both were really satisfying lunch options. This cafe does get busy but the environment is very California chic and it's a great hang out spot. I'd highly recommend! When I go back, I want to try the pastries as they looked great in the window.
google avatar

Arash D.

Yelp
I've been a customer at this location for over a decade. The quality of their food and service has substantially diminished over the years. The food served is often not warm or properly prepared and their service is not friendly like it was years ago. If you're looking for high quality food or friendly service, I suggest you look elsewhere.
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE FOR WIFI ! The signal is very low most of the time since the staff knows very little about how it works. The food is terrific!. The space is great for working!. Unfortunately the music is often way too loud for customers who have come for less noise so they can study and read for work. Nobody wants club music cranked up here. PLEASE lower for everyone. Thank You
google avatar

Tam T.

Yelp
Cute place to study! Lots of seating, service is nice, and there's outlets you can find inside as well. Coral tree has a big menu with plenty of food and drink options. Their coconut latte was quite good and the latte art is so pretty on their hot drinks! You can find street parking but watch out for signs--otherwise they do valet.
google avatar

Laurie F.

Yelp
I guess I get the hype but I don't relate to it with regard to Coral Tree Cafe. The food is actually great. But the cafeteria style and set up inside is terrible. The line is always way too long. I do recommend the vegetarian lasagna. The outside has better seating and fire pits. Parking is miserable.. don't get me started. I will go .. but I gotta be motivated because it's just not easy. Enjoy!

Yelp
Amazing , loved everything about this place. They took real care of me during my brunch. Will definitely return

Yelp
Ate a chicken panini sandwich here and it was really good. Friendly staff and nice place to eat at.

Yelp
Amazing pancakes and eggs! I love that they are one of the only spots around that serve breakfast in the afternoon. Was surprised how good the eggs were.

Yelp
Coral Tree Cafe is an old favorite of mine and I was excited to go back and revisit it after many years away. Parking around Brentwood isn't the best, but I got there early enough on a Sunday to snag a spot. When I got to the cafe, there was a long, but manageable line to order at the counter, so I waited. I ordered the shakshouka (apparently, a specialty), a side of bacon, and a latte. The latte came right away, but the shakshouka and bacon took a very long time. While I sipped my latte, I saw other people sit down, receive their food, eat, and leave. Finally, I tracked down a server and asked where my food was; it had been 45 minutes. She was nice enough and apologized, saying it doesn't usually take this long and she offered me a big cookie. So I got a peanut butter cookie for my trouble and a few minutes later, the shakshouka arrived, but it was lukewarm and mediocre. So much for a cafe specialty. The bacon also arrived and it was extremely burnt and pretty much inedible. Sadly, I can't say I'll be coming here again. I was very disappointed.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Coral Tree is the perfect place for a delicious breakfast or lunch. They have a large menu with many healthy options that are super flavorful. Order at the counter and find a seat inside or on the patio. During peak times there can be a line, but it usually goes pretty quickly. The patio is a perfect setting for a relaxing meal, with friends or by yourself. The woman who took our order and brought our drinks was extremely welcoming and friendly. Salads were a good size and I love that the dressing comes on the side without asking.
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
This is not my go to cafe but it's okay in a bind. The prices are expensive for what you get. For example the lox toast is base around $18 and if you want eggs on that it's an extra $3.50. Gluten free bread is also $3.50 extra. They don't really have much that is gluten free or dairy free without an up charge. The kale salad is $18 and then another $5.00 if you want chicken in it. The caprese sandwich unfortunately isn't a panini so the cheese doesn't get melted. Everything is fresh tasting but nothing on the menu truly stands out as being amazing or uniquely tasty except the homemade lemonade. They do have mimosas and bloody Mary's for brunch. It's always crowded and at times difficult to find a table and I always feel rushed to order.
google avatar

Adrian M.

Yelp
Very nice place for breakfast lunch or dinner. Gets pretty busy on weekends but still has fast service.
google avatar

Cristian V.

Yelp
Order at the counter and then food comes to you, makes me question why I should tip if at all. I ordered the Benedict with potatoes, bacon looked sad and the sauce was underwhelming. My girlfriend got the farmhouse panini on gluten free bread, bread was burnt and the potato sides we got had no flavor. For 45 bucks, just try out some other place that cares what they put on the plate. 2 stars because of the ambiance.
google avatar

Jennifer C. L.

Yelp
Rating solely for this organic tea: -Large organic MOROCCAN MINT LATTE ((ICED)) -oat milk -less sweet so they say "less honey" -2 shots espresso TOTAL: $8 But it was surprisingly worth it. The mint gives it a unique unsuspecting flair that calms the mood and helps you take a deeper breath of fresh air when sipping on their outdoor patio.
google avatar

Connie D.

Yelp
Generous portions of fresh delicious food, smiling and efficient service amid spacious light-filled restaurant or outdoor tables in the shade. Enjoyed our meal! The steak panini was delicious, the tuna salad was fresh and desserts scrumptious!
google avatar

Chris P.

Yelp
Coral Tree is definitely a nice place for breakfast, lunch, early dinner and especially for coffee and tea. This is the place we gather on Sundays with our friends for coffee and late lunch. They have good quality coffee and teas. The food here is also good and well prepared. They have good selection of salads and pasta dishes. I like the breakfast here, the vegetable egg white fritata is one of my favorite dishes. Love the blueberry pancakes and strawberry banana pankakes. As for the desserts, they are very mediocre and pricey for the quality; the only thing on the menu that needs the chef's attention. Other than desserts everything else is 5 stars including the service at Coral Tree on San Vincente, in Los Angeles. Very clean and well sanitized place. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Benson M.

Yelp
Had pancakes today, I had the worst stomach ache I had in a while , not sure what was in it but was really bad
google avatar

Madeline S.

Yelp
I really like coral tree because it does the casual cafe thing very well. Menu has variety, but no too overwhelming. You can eat healthy and light, or indulge. Wide offering of beverage options as well. The inside of the cafe has a great ambience as well with high ceilings, lots of light, plenty of tables to dine, drink, and camp out without feeling rushed. Relaxed dining makes it a good place to catch up on some reading, emails, or chat with a friend. What I liked most about the food was that sandwiches come with a really nice, fresh side salad. The sandwich itself was also very tasty. I had the chicken and artichoke panini and it was just right. Wouldn't change a thing about it. Glad to have a cafe like this in the neighborhood. My one single nitpick is that parking is a bit of a headache, but not much can be done about that. Once your food arrives and you can relax in a cozy corner of the cafe, your parking troubles will be long forgotten.
google avatar

Bakri F.

Yelp
Great comfort food. Friendly and attentive waiters/waitresses. Fast service! I would definitely recommend getting a stack of pancakes. We tried the blueberry ones. Eggs Benedict and the breakfast burrito are also amazing.
google avatar

Beaux J.

Yelp
Coral Tree Cafe has been somewhere me and my family have been going to for a LONG time. Their food here is unmatched. I personally love getting the steak panini with guacamole and for dessert their awesome choccy chip cookie. The service is really great because you order at a front desk and then they bring it to you when it's ready! The "Coral" In Coral Tree Cafes name is a reference to all the cool coral decor and mix of an old by the sea cafe. I highly recommend!
google avatar

Brennan H.

Yelp
The vegetable panini with goat cheese was really perfect; it exceeded my expectations. Great service and ambience. Can't wait to try it again.
google avatar

Kayla J.

Yelp
Coral tree is the best cafe in Brentwood for quick bites or to sit down and enjoy! I'm obsessed with the veggie pannini and the potatoes!

David A.

Yelp
Carrot Cake was amazing, I mean out of this world good and staff was very nice and Cool . Definitely will be go back for more

Yelp
To the management: we are not coming to your fine establishment to hear loud music. We are there to ear your amazing food and work or take meetings. PLEASE lower the volume like all your guests want. Thanks !!

Yelp
This is a great spot for lunch and breakfast especially if you work live in the area. Parking is a little rough to find or expensive, and the prices are a little steep I feel at least in my opinion, but this place is solid. The people are nice and the food is good to great. Just recently, I met up with some old coworkers for lunch. I ordered the tuna melt. It was delicious and had a nice crisp on the bread and it was served with a side salad that was solid. I lived in Brentwood years ago and this was actually a spot I frequented when I was studying for my GMAT. I would get some food and some coffee and when sit here for a couple hours. Oh the memories... This place is just an easy place to meet up with people or if you are doing your own thing and you need Wi-Fi. Just order something and tip the folks well for being great people!
